I do not support fans coming back even if the numbers look better in the near future, we have seen how when people go out the numbers rise, just because numbers get better doesn't mean we should become defenseless against covid, it is too risky to let people back into stadiums for now, and I do not mean full because that is not going to happen anyway, I am talking about not even allowing 100 ticket holders, just the players+staff+workers and maybe few family members and that's it, no fans allowed should continue whole year.

These numbers are bound to go down one day this year, maybe it won't but I feel like it could be better like June type of numbers or early July, but even with that we saw that it could increase back up very quickly so it would be worth it to just not allow just in case for this whole season.
3002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit and STEEM are not Dead on: October 29, 2020, 07:05:27 PM
It is not "dead" but it is really not alive neither. I understand that you wrote a lot of stuff to help people, and this was definitely one of the best methods of making money back in the day without actually spending any money, we all (people who were around back those days) wrote to make money, instead of equipment and other stuff we had more like a "proof of writing" situation and also quality decided on how much you made.

For a while it turned into a SEO place where everyone wrote and you spent money on others to give you money, you gave them 10 bucks and they gave you 5 bucks on steem to make you more famous in order to not need it in the future to make money. But much better methods came up for making money and steem just got boring over course of years.
3003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB Holders - What do you do with your BNB? on: October 29, 2020, 06:17:13 PM
BNB is something I earn and not buy, I have a lot of affiliates that make absolutely no money to me at all in the long run, but that 5 bucks per month or so do collect into something bigger when you ignore them. For the past few years I have actually made about 100 bucks or so with some upticks so I did have some BNB in my hands without spending a dime.

I have about 20 bucks of it still there, and I have 7 bucks that I withdrew to metamask for some other things, so I have close to 25 bucks let's say. I like spending that on staking, you could definitely lose money that way but it is also not a huge money for me, and I really like the idea, you leave the money to make more of other money for you, it is like you hired your BNB to be your worker and that feeling is actually unique in my world.
3004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 29, 2020, 10:33:24 AM
There is no guarantee that new president will be friends with Messi neither, nobody assumed this president would have such a big fight with Messi neither but it happened and now he is gone, nobod would want to work with a president who is having a fight with arguably one of the best players in history, so it was an obvious outcome when the fight happened but beforehand nobody expected that.

Maybe new president will have a fight with Messi as well? Maybe he won't be kind to what happened to this one and will want to prevent same thing happening to him so he could potentially lower Messi's influence over Barcelona or at least try to do that but may fail like this one too, who knows?

I do not see a guarantee Messi staying at the end of the season, he could be gone at any time.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 28, 2020, 05:55:39 PM
You do not focus on the role players or even players on your line up that are not Lebron or AD. When you have AD and Lebron you offer them the most money you could potentially ever afford, if you have to get 8 free agent veteran minimum players around them you will do that, it is just not possible to make the team this good without paying him that much money.

However one thing is for sure, they have some salary they could shed off, and they could definitely sign good or decent level players with veteran minimum because they are the champions and players could come to that alone. Which means Lakers will give AD whatever they technically could, there is a limit obviously due to CBA but whatever that limit is, Lakers will be ready to give that without a doubt in their mind.
3006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 27, 2020, 04:17:35 PM
Roma didn't technically let Cengiz Under go, he is still their player and I am sure if he plays great here they will want him back anyway, he is just on a loan right now at Leicester and when a team like Leicester from premier league wants your player, it is also a smart decision to send him there too in order to both gain reputation, more price, and also maybe even get better as well, I think premier league is a far superior league then serie A, and Leicester is in a lot better shape.

However one thing I don't know about is fee clause, if there is a fee clause like 20-30 million euro or whatever it is, Leicester may just exercise that and get Cengiz without trying too much, which most loans have nowadays but if that is not the case this will end well for Roma.

I do not understand why people have to make a big deal out of "who is better" talks but I am pretty sure people could make a valid point for every big time racer if they ever want to. I mean Schumi was just another level amongst the best of his time, his car wasn't much better than others, sure he raced with some decent cars but he would be at the top whatever car he drove and never had the obvious advantage as Mercedes has today for example, give him any car racing that they even the worst one and you could count on the fact that he would be top 5 with it, higher if he had a decent car.

Hamilton on the other hand may have the car advantage, but dude used that advantage so well that in a sport with milisecond mistakes that could cause as further as death, this dude has raced perfectly without any problems for so many years now, that is rare and incredibly and unseen as well. They are both just too good to separate.
3008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is yours opinion in XRP Coin ? on: October 26, 2020, 04:17:42 PM
Unfortunately that is what they want you to believe, but the reality is not like that at all, the reality is a lot worse. XRP is a company's fake coin that doesn't do anything at all, Ripple is the company and they make tons of profit, they make so much profit that they could stop the whole business today, spend 5k per day forever until they die and they wouldn't run out of money, that is how much they are rich.

How about XRP? It doesn't change at all, it is not shares, it is not stocks, it doesn't have dividends, Ripple gets a new deal and makes more money yet you look at XRP and nothing changed at all. So, you are only used as a pawn in their game and that is why you should be staying away from XRP as much as you can, never buy any and if you have any you should sell.
3009  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price now and something interesting on: October 26, 2020, 02:42:56 PM
Actually, if we have a big capital to sustain, this is the right time to buy Bitcoin also at a lower price while waiting for the correct timing. but first thought before entering because we can't guess when it becomes stable.
You cannot expect bitcoin market to be staying stable for a while because it may remain volatile for at least next one hundred of years as that is expected time for all 21 million bitcoins to be mined out. By considering these, this must be the right time to enter and to be holding for long-term perspective. For this, you do not need to be capital but you must need long-term plans so that you will not be having any other commitment for those funds which you will be investing into bitcoin.

I am just eyeing big target like $20k to take some profits. I believe when more people do target like me, I guess we may jump more quickly toward ATH rather than bothering these middle things.
There are different kinds of people trading and holding bitcoins here: Some people are looking for short-term targets like $14k or $15k and some others are targeting all time high like you $20k. But, there are people like myself who are looking for millions of value in long run or at least $100k in midterm.

So, there should be some people who will be bothering about each and every phase of bitcoin price levels. It is just part of every market.
3010  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 26, 2020, 08:06:50 AM
I believe that everything will not stay forever. Defi projects are still getting successful and the recent one is DEGO Finance. They got a huge response from the market. So it is difficult to say the Defi hype is over rather than we can say the success rate is getting down as it will also be dropped accordingly.
Maybe we can say the hype and the FOMO is gone by the success and potential remains as there are some excellent projects in the Defi market which even I am keep an eye on but then there are scams and fake projects too so you just have to make sure that you pick the right one if you are an investor and the DeFi hype is over but there are still some potentially amazing projects coming up and in the making.

It is more like a traditional graph where we can see a huge growth initially but as the market gets matures the graph becomes stable and the success and investment rate is decreased too. One can compare with the iPhones when they come to market they are costly but with time the price drops almost every time for the same mobile, because there is a hype and once it's over the market gets more timid.
3011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: October 26, 2020, 07:16:28 AM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.

Every crypto will be volitile.  Stablecoins are risky because you can lose everything.  If you are afraid of volitility than crypto is just not for you at this point.  Risk reward are both very high.
Very well summed up and people often think stablecoins are made to stabilize the value in fiat while being in the crypto market but like you said stable coins are centralized and the risk is even bigger and we might end up losing all the money in search of lowering the volatility. Although one can actually try and reduce the volatile nature by purchasing coins that don't have much change to their value for example ETH won't change too much unless there is a new development news so just keep an eye on the market and you can reduce volatility to a considerable amount.

I personally trade crypto because of the high volatile nature because I have been someone who spent a lot of time in things like currency trading (USD/EUR pair for example) and the change is so slow that you have to wait weeks and even months to get decent profits and here in crypto market you might face loss but the changes are faster and profits are quicker.
3012  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis will be new normal but its not bad on: October 25, 2020, 09:13:10 PM
-snip-
That is so true and actually I can relate some part of that with our government as well. Actually the government of various countries found a good reason to hide their flaws in the name of corona virus. There were a lot of holes in the economic structure but those are now covered with the fake stories of corona virus and pandemic fears.

The government handled pandemic terribly in some countries by locking down schools, colleges, shops and almost all the market prematurely and when the bigger wave arrived they fall flat as they already did enough damage to the economy by shutting down the markets.

I believe the right way was to implement restrictions but not lockdowns because imposing lockdowns meant that people suffered and locking down people into their houses is not a solution but a way to delay the inevitable.
3013  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: October 25, 2020, 08:29:39 PM
Intrinsic or extrinsic motivation is needed at this time, when everyone is experiencing pressure due to Covid 19. Inevitably we must always encourage family, friends, friends and neighbors to always maintain health according to the protocol in their respective countries.
regarding work, in parts of the government is trying its best. on the other hand, we can learn the lesson.
Personally I loved this tough times not because I am very rich or I have huge money reserves but because after a long time I got to spent some time with my family and I realized that I was living the life of a robot so fat with working hard in the office for 8 hours and then I would sleep and repeat the process. Thankfully our boss allowed us (me and my colleagues in the current project) to work from home and now I realize what I was missing in life. I had bad times too as a few extra incentives were taken off from my salary but really I love being with my family and living with them was my biggest motivation source during these times.

I used to spend a lot of money with friends on things like drinking, movies, etc and I saved enough money to spend some on my parents who were living alone for years without me knowing what they were going through.
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 24, 2020, 08:11:43 PM
Gladbach had a wonderful champions league game and now they are going to play the bottom team in the league with mainz, I would say betting on gladbach could be very profitable this week, Bayern has a game and whenever Bayern has a game I don't care who it is I end up betting for bayern. Dortmund schalke game looks fairly easy for dortmund as well and I think it has a place this week.

And lastly I would say leipzig vs herta berlin definitely deserves a game as well, these are the games I am going to play this week for sure, I just couldn't decide if I should play them individual or I should play them all in a parlay? That is something I haven't decided yet. All of them combined makes out to be only 3.95 and fairly guaranteed, individually they are not that great and even combined it is not that great neither.
3015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 24, 2020, 06:47:18 PM
Depends on how they do it. Normally the idea is not to increase the credibility but it is to increase the marketing of it, you would want more and more people to be interested in the project you do and when you are giving money to people for signature campaigns you are getting a lot in return, people all over bitcointalk will be hearing about your project which will create this "demand" for your project, not a ton but at least people will hear about it and know about it even if they do not get involved and a bit of them will get involved as well.

It is not always a great profitable thing, you are not going to spend a thousand dollars on signature campaign and get more than a thousand dollars in return from funding, but it would be at least a brand awareness type of deal.
3016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 24, 2020, 11:56:56 AM
I doubt it would be a difficult game for Real Madrid. Difference between Real Madrid versus Barcelona showed easily when Madrid lost their best player, Ronaldo to juventus and even though Juventus got elevated thanks to Ronaldo, Madrid didn't lost much step, maybe they weren't great at champions league but they still became champions last year, they did that whole "we need to get better while getting younger players" side of things very carefully and did it very well.

Barcelona on the other hand failed miserably, Messi is STILL there but they are like a bunch of old dudes who are having hard time with each other, they are trying to send Messi away as well, so at the end of the day Barcelona is the weaker team in mind, I would bet on Real Madrid for this game, unless something unexpected happens they will get it.
3017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : How to survive token price on launching on: October 23, 2020, 09:03:11 PM
Maybe you should not be trying to survive? Maybe that is not the case at all? Maybe you should be leaving like everyone else? I mean people think that a coin is great even if it drops at the launch and it could recover and I have to say that is not always true.

If a token is not good at all on the launch, like drops 50% on the first day, most likely outcome for the future would be barely recovery as well, if a token is amazing people will not sell on the launch day, they will want to buy and hold as much of that token as possible because it is an awesome one, not just sell and get out on the first day. This is why if you think a token launching on an exchange will drop, you should have a stop loss and get out as quickly as you can most of the time, there is rarely a few that could recover and that small number doesn't worth the risk.
3018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 23, 2020, 07:04:32 PM
The funny part about the league right now the 4-5-6-7 type of ranks, and even 8th they all look fairly understandable and reasonable, however that top 2 is looking very funny Cheesy Like Everton? Really? Aston Villa?

Those are the funny parts, like remove them to midtable or even under the half, and put City and Liverpool there, and move every other team one spot higher and you will basically have last year for a long long time as well Cheesy. That is really interesting to see but I do not think that Everton or Villa could ever fight until the end this way, they are going to start going down very soon, in fact if you start betting AGAINST them each game, with martingale type of deal, you will definitely make it back very soon.
3019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 23, 2020, 06:27:27 PM
All these new places that weren't there will be such a great addition, probably the only thing that is good about this whole horrible pandemic, normally everything about pandemic has been disturbingly bad, but this new addition of old places will be awesome.

I can't wait for Turkey for example, last time we had Turkey on the schedule Mercedes wasn't this good if I remember correctly, and now with them being this great and Hamilton breaking records over records, it is getting a lot entertaining to see how they will fare with the new places.

Portugal will be a good challenge as well, he already broke the record and he is up there with the bests, that is not a doubt in mind, but will he stop working hard? Will he just race laid back? Or will he continue his dominance? I really don't know but I wouldn't bet on him just this one race tbf.
3020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An additional 6 billion Tether was minted October 21 on: October 23, 2020, 01:03:12 PM
It definitely reaches to a whole new level right now, first of all I honestly think it should be removed from the coinmarketcap type of places because it is certainly not a coin itself, it is basically just a fiat thing that has a blockchain behind it and nothing else.

Secondly when something becomes third biggest project in crypto world with absolutely no decentralization at all is a scary situation, it shouldn't be this free and it shouldn't be creating this much power for themselves, they have enough power to basically destroy the market as a company, that is the epitome of centralization. This is why I see this as a bad thing and not a good thing, the moment they decide to scam or just die we are going to end up with a whole lot of bag and it will be very hard to recover from that.
