3002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gates of olympus on: December 06, 2022, 09:52:26 PM
Gates of Olympus, also known as Grandpa Zeus slots or Olympus slots, is a slot game released by Pragmatic Play that is the most popular in my country. Grandpa Zeus slots are one of the most popular games released by Pragmatic Play. This game with the theme of Greek gods and goddesses, especially the god Zeus, has very charming graphics. If you try the Olympus game as the main online game, there are many things you should know.
1. Symbol: The shape of the symbol that will appear in the Olympus slot Amount
2. Symbol: The number of symbols that must appear in one turn of the duck slot to get a win
3. Multiples of Winning: The number of multiples of the bet used that you will win my question here

1 Do you have games like in my country in your country

2, is this game easier than what I imagined?

This post looks more of an advertisement which you are trying to do. Are you covering up something so we could just do the guess work or what.  I suggest you come up plain with elaborate explanations. I see you are a new bee on board the platform which tells more of your existence here. You should go register for a copper member account so you could do some pictorial upload for your advertisement. Maybe that would explain More better your project for clarity as what you have written does not communicate anything. I think Zeus be as the name implies would be a good idea and a nice one to Start with. Why not put it straight to us of your game casino if it be that way rather than all these.
3003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian government set to tax bitcoin and crypto transactions on: December 06, 2022, 09:22:14 PM
The Nigeria government we know are never tired of wanting something out of nothing. The government policies so far we have known are nothing but a cashcow memorandum. I think they delving into regulations as regards blockchain and taxation of Crypto currencies are just a way forward to control and monitor transactions. Passing or voting of bill into law makes no sense as the citizens already have their ways in doing their things. I just believe the  government are wallowing in their very own shadows trying to meet up with their citizens whom are far ahead of them. Regulations and taxation on Crypto currencies makes no difference . However be the case, it is a situation of salvaging circumstances so as not to be left behind as it is already seen that their citizens do not bother about the government actions and inactions towards their economy and blockchain to be precise.
3004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two Bitcoin Stories from the AfroBitcoin Conference in Ghana 2022 on: December 06, 2022, 08:31:08 PM
So the first Africa Bitcoin Conference is holding in Ghana currently. Some of the speakers at the conference include Jack Dorsey, Ray Youssef, Obinna Nwosu, Alex Gladstein, Mike Brock, Fadi Elsalameen and a host of others. Today is day 2.

In the third panel discussion, various speakers (Roya Al Mahboob,  Meron Estefanos, Leopoldo Lopez) told stories of how bitcoin is serving as a strategic tool for civil resistance. That is, activists are using bitcoin to get over financial repression and fight political tyranny all across the world. The two stories that stood out for me are those of Roya Al Mahboob, and Meron Estefanos. I'll share a summary below.

  • Meron Estefanos is a refugee advocate. She shared a story how just last week an Eritean refugee was kidnapped in Sudan and was about to be sold to Libyans. The ransom was about $40,000. But if they were able to pay for the person before in Sudan before he gets transferred it was going to be $5000. She only had an hour and half(1hour 30minutes). So what she did was to find someone in Sudan who was willing to pay the ransom in person. She went on to train the person on how to receive bitcoin, and how to exchange it. Within an hour and half(1hour 30minutes) they were able to do it and the person was released.

  • Roya Al Mahboob, an Afghan tech entrepreneur and activist shared her story of the challenges that Afghan women face becasue the political structure prevents them from obtaining education and competent employment. To systematically fight against this, she  founded a training school where Afghan women are trained in software development, they are given jobs, she set up bitcoin addresses for them to get paid with bitcoin. In Afghanistan, a woman usually needs a man's help to open a bank account—perhaps her father or brother but bitcoin has bypassed that.

Do you have stories of how bitcoin in used in fighting oppressive governments, please share

Thank you.

There is always a Bitcoin story and experience everyone would want to tell. I believe these are the stories that warrants the government being afraid of the emergent and existence of Bitcoin. With Bitcoin the masses would not be oppressed anymore. Bitcoin just caused financial revolution in the economy.  Since it's inception, lots of activities have  been going on without any trace.

This is not only the issue of fighting oppresive government, let us also look  at  liberation and financial freedom,  boarderless transactions, privacy, third party interference, faster transfer all these put together Bitcoin has surpassed.  Bitcoin emerged as the beginning of financial revolution to mankind.
3005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Month of Accepting Bitcoin for Payment on: December 06, 2022, 01:12:12 PM
This a welcome development. I have actually been on this movement for quite a long time and as God may have it, it has been fruitful and successful. I was able to on-board skilled and unskilled, mini-vendors and traders. It gives me joy to see that Bitcoin adoption is fast rising and gaining  attention it requires globally. If you check my profile you will some few of the vendors that accepts bitcoin in my locality which i thought and showed them how the system works. If as you have done this, you take it to your locality using yourself as a case study, believe me you, the turn up would be very encouraging and more business vendors would want to follow your step in accepting bitcoin as you have done and gradually, the spread will be like wide fire which would become uncontrollable. You have done well OP in accepting bitcoin as a means of payment. I believe your customers those that are yet to know about bitcoin would definitely ask you about it when they see it and this would also lead to more people on-board the system.
3006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: December 06, 2022, 07:40:13 AM
The price of Bitcoin increased drastically in late 2020 and early 2021. The price of Bitcoin touched about 72k dollars. But from there the price has come down to its lowest level.

Bitcoin price is currently 19302 dollars but the possibility of Bitcoin price increase from here is very high. And I think Bitcoin price in 2023 Chances of reaching $100,000 per year are very high so if one wants to invest then now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin.

If you invest at this time then you will definitely be able to reap huge benefits as I believe that Bitcoin price will increase greatly by 2023.

Currently now, Bitcoin is far below this price as you have stated. I believe strong hands and smart investor would be at the top and bottom buying because it is at it's lowest currently and likely might go below this price depending on factors surrounding the market. Those looking for where to invest can as well do the needful by investing what they can afford to loose at any point in time but we all know it will bounce back in future as we can not currently predict the market as it is. Anyone investing in Bitcoin now should see it as a long time investment because currently it is better to hold for a long time than watching the market as a new investor otherwise, you will be tempted to selloff which might likely lead you to making loss if you do not control yourself seeing the market.

3009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Phase two(2) : Bitcoin Promotion and Adoption in my locality. on: December 04, 2022, 10:25:01 PM
This is one of the many biggest voluntary actions an individual can do to help Bitcoin adoption, by this way we can share how Bitcoin works, or even there are some people who will see the poster and they don't have any idea what Bitcoin is, they will start to become curious and start exploring Bitcoin.

Kudos to the OP for this. Even though this is a kindly small act, it's already huge exposure to the Bitcoin community.

I have been on this course for quite some time now. Sincerely speaking, it is not as easy as you think.  People's tend to get clearity as per your conversation with them you know but I try my possible best to enlighten and educate them properly. I took this upon myself because I have seen the worth of it and the goal of Satoshi is to make sure each and every nook and cranny gets to know and hear about Bitcoin which is the new financial freedom and breakaway from oppression and poverty. I have learnt a lot from the system. Some one brought me here and I learnt about it more from my research so I owe the society this by giving back to the society in this very own little way of mine.

Nevertheless, i give or teach them the basic fundamentals and how it works. I have been on this for sometime   and I am achieving my goals in that regards.
3010  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: December 04, 2022, 01:50:33 PM
Personally none of them anymore. It’s an obvious reason that centralized exchanges are not meant to be trusted by us since they will only take advantage of our funds and use them for their own progress just like what centralized banks did to our deposits and let others borrow it so they can grow their own business while leaving our money with just a very little interest. So sad that a lot of people have been blind on that and until today, people are still trusting centralized exchanges even after the scandalous event of FTX.

I think we can trust some reputable centralized exchanges of their service.  Reason why despite the risk we still conduct trading on their platform.  But trusting and being safe is different.  Centralized exchanges can be a safe trading platform but not a safe platform to keep our coins due to possible hacks and exploits that can cause the fund of exchanges drained.  So it is best to just use the service as it intended to be than using it beyond its service description.

You can do trust some exchanges but not all will do so anymore. Fine we can trade on those exchanges which is for sure a guided one but certainly not. We can not trust them anymore with our assets and funds. We have learnt enough lessons to open our eyes this time. Third party exchanges will find it difficult this time to gather assets and funds from investors to hold. I do not know about others but for sure I know about myself that I am no more comfortable with the happenings with them. The hacks, the carelessness and misappropriation of funds and assets it is not worth the risk holding with them anymore. I strongly believe most of the incidents going on with these exchanges are likely stage managed so as to cover up lapses on their path. Come to talk of it, they are likely the arm of government on blockchain that checkmate activities via regulation proxy. They steal our identity in the name of kyc only God knows why and what they use it for all in the disguise of international laws and so on.
3011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 03, 2022, 06:42:38 PM
This is the biggest opportunity for anyone to buy BTC. BTC has an inflation rate lower than gold and it will continue to drop after the next halving and future halvings. I am forever grateful to be in this space. I am a step ahead.

The price of bitcoin dropped from $69,000 to $16,000.  This is a very strong drop in the price of bitcoin.

However, are there any fundamental reasons for the fall in the price of the first cryptocurrency?

Certainly, there are some reasons...

Recently, the pressure of state regulators on cryptocurrencies (and bitcoin, in particular) has increased.  There are accusations against Bitcoin that the impact of its mining on the global ecology is negative.

However, such accusations are largely manipulative in nature.  Bitcoin is a very promising financial asset.  This decentralized protocol for the transfer of value in the virtual space is of great fundamental importance for all of humanity.

Therefore, in the long term, the price of Bitcoin will rise.  Right now, in my opinion, is a good time to invest in Bitcoin.

As you have noted, it is absolutely the right thing to do by buying an holding. This is a bear market which no one knows when it will be over. From what you have said, there is likely some reality in them. This bear market was actually or likely as a result of the clamp down on Miners at first with the impression that Bitcoin mining has a negative side effects on the environment and climate which in the real sense they are anti Bitcoin trying to stop Bitcoin by all means. Not only that the government ban on regulations are another side effects on Bitcoin those countries affected were forced to selloff and it drastically affected the price of Bitcoin too. I strongly believe that the Government's are very much afraid and would want to at any length control the system under the guise of regulations which seems difficult for them. They are loosing grip of the masses which is a big night mare to them.

The more they act the more it affects the market the more strong hands bag more of it. As a smart investor this is the right time to bag more and do not forget to use or invest with funds you can afford to loose.
3012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want sell my house for bitcoin on: December 03, 2022, 06:07:40 PM
You can not be ignorant of the fact that Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. I believe you must have been following up with the trends on Bitcoin price and how it goes. Comparing both, Bitcoin is worth the investment but if you would ask me, I would say to you it is worth it but do you have the patience to wait for the next bullrun. Fine you have the two houses which according to you the worth is stagnant against your expectations of price increase. I know you never expected it to be this stagnant for too long as it is sure investment that should be rocking in more cash and increase in value but it's unfortunate that you fail to understand it that way. You see this slogan  "invest in what you know you can afford to loose" is still applicable .
Well it is still the bear market you know what to do. Do your own research .
3013  Other / Archival / Re: I don't want to buy cheap bitcoins, I want to buy expensive ones on: December 03, 2022, 05:23:10 PM
I believe this has to do with the human mindset, reasoning and ideology. Not all people see things the same way. Some might see the good in the bad while some would see the bad in the good and it all boils down to the same lane and their perspective of how they see things. Looking at this, one would know that normal human being should be able to go for the less expensive and get possession of it while waiting and growing with it but in the other hand, there are some that are ready to go for the much expensive one which has already pumped without much stronger value and at the entire end they lose all their investment as it was a pump and dump. This is the normal ideology of average human. Nobody wants to build but wants already built so they could take possession of it. This is why scammers always get their ways in achieving their goals.
3014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: December 03, 2022, 01:03:12 PM
To the best of my knowledge, Bitcoin has created a niche for itself. The use case of Bitcoin are so numerous to mention. No wonder it is called digital gold and it is therefore tagged store of value and as the first digital currency, it became the most popular and globally recognized digital asset even though most country are yet to recognize or see it so. As the topic implies, the problem solved by Bitcoin depends on individual approach and perspective. It can be used for purchase of property without any much stress and third party involvement to demanding for commission, it is faster and time saving, it has a recorded ledger where every transaction is recorded which can never be destroyed unlike the fiat where evidence can be distroyed without any trace. You can move with your Bitcoin assets from place to place without any disturbance and no one noticing your movement compared to the fiat where bullion vans are used to covey fiat from one place to another which attracts eyes and possibly attacks by armed robbers and lots more making it very risky. All these problems Bitcoin has solved but it takes an opened eye man not biased in thinking to see what we are seeing.
3015  Other / Meta / Bitcointalk Christmas Charity Programme on: December 03, 2022, 12:32:13 PM
I have been pondering over this for some time now. This platform have come a long way to this height and as members of this platform,  most members that have been here long before now have highly benefited from this platform. The bitcointalk platform has made many men which most of you can attest to that fact. For many years, this platform have been in existence and to the best of my knowledge for the time I have been onboard this platform and carefulIy research I am yet to see any post about end of year or Christmas Charity program organized by members, please correct me if I am wrong.  I think giving back to the society can also make impart in the society and also promoting the Bitcoin movement which would likely call for more adoption.

This is just a suggestion, your opinions and ideas are all welcomed. Let us discuss.

What is your take on this topic and subject matter?

3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme scammer uses BTC to cover tracks on: December 03, 2022, 10:30:26 AM
Scammers of lately have mapped out so many means of scamming people of their hard earned resources be it fiat Bitcoin and other Crypto currencies. The truth it that most of their victims do know for sure and just like the other poster before me said that "they do know but for the fact that they do benefit from the scheme, they find it difficulty to report as they make huge profits from it."

Like I will always say there is nothing hidden under the sun, there is no crime schemes that can not be investigated as long as that wallet holding that ill gotten assets is doing transactions, the owner can be apprehended by the security agencies if they swung into actions. It is not a difficult one and it is no difference from what they agencies have been doing for long now but all it takes is just reporting the issue to them and watch them act.

3018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: December 02, 2022, 05:55:25 PM
When it gets to freedom, I think people really do not understand what it means and what it stands for. It is your choice to choose what you feel to do is right for you. Without being misunderstood, freedom is not bias. Freedom is applicable in the blockchain industry. As we all know why Satoshi invented the Bitcoin. It was for the sake of freedom Bitcoin was invented so as third party would be avoided, Government would be put off our transaction. However it is unfortunate that centralised exchange does not see that and are against the major reason blockchain was invented. Nevertheless, kyc was brought in which is entirely and totally different from the Satoshi goal but  it is left for each individual to choose whether to do it or not. The choice is yours as you have your freedom and right to make your decision.

Freedom is freedom indeed.
Freedom is priceless.
Freedom is power
Freedom is democratic.
Freedom is a choice.
Freedom is not bias.

Freedom is your right!

3019  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: December 02, 2022, 02:21:21 PM
[snip]
For me, there will be no safe centralized exchanges anymore even before the scandalous event of FTX.
[snip]
For me, all trusted centralized exchanges are safe for trading --yes because they are trusted. But the thing that is not safe is when we store our funds for a long period of time. The FTX drama is not the worst here, because they are not running away from the user's funds, they refunded users and I think still a good example even though behind the company's bankruptcy they returned people's money. So as I see it, picking trusted centralized exchanges are safe but don't trust to put your fund there as treated your own wallet --that is a wrong practice.

It is good as you have said so and it will be nice trading with some listed centralised exchanges as you have said but it would not be safe leaving funds any more under the custody of centralised exchange. Centralised exchange are more like the fiat banks as dey are almost running similar system. The only difference between the Fiat banks and the Crypto exchanges is that one deals on fiat while the other deals on Crypto currencies. So therefore trade and deal with caution on third party exchanges. Do not leave your profits or huge percentage of your assets with them any more. The happenings of lately should be a lesson to you. Centralised exchange these days are not what we think they used to be. It is funny how things unveil as regards the centralised exchanges.
3020  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 02, 2022, 02:09:21 PM
The more you people talking about not being sentimental, tribalistic and whatever, the more I see sentiment and all you mention in the statement. PDP has ruled, yes! But was it Atiku that ruled? No. APC also, it's not Tinubu that is ruling now. Obi was the part of the PDP that ruled before. He's not Saint as you all portray. Na sentiment sef dey make us support Obi all in name of na Igbo turn and nothing more. If we are to be fair to ourselves, kwankwaso and Sowore are better choice too but sentiment no go allow us to see.

No be sentiment make me deh support Peter Obi unto say na Igbo person. Carry Orji Uzor Kalu or Dave Umahi put there and watch how many people from the east weh go support his candidature. Many people deh support PO because say na him deh transparent pass among others. Sowore also deh good but his ideas no go too work except if majority of those lazy legislators weh deh National Assembly na people weh support am, to allow his policies go through. We sabi how those NA members don cast this country because of greed and them no go want to support Sowore policies weh e go be say e go go against them. Tinubu weh you mention for deh ok to run in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011. Then he was active and healthy. The Tinubu weh deh now deh very sick. He will make us laughing stock abroad in the midst of other presidents. The man has dementia already abi una no deh see am?

Unto tinubu matter sef kwa, the man don old too much to go for 001  office. That office no be only for the old men Dem wey don dey rule us for long. We need fresh vibrant leader in the government. Edon tey wey we dey sing we are the leaders of tommorow uptill this time na the men Dem wey dey for power that time still dey for the corridors of power. Na how Dem want us to take be the leaders to today na. Minus sentiment aside this has nothing to do with political party any more, we are looking at the caliber of persons involved. I think the national assembly needs to look into age factor this time around so as to prevent some certain occurrence in the next general election. His is not a joke we have to stand up to it.
