3001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 10, 2022, 12:32:42 PM

Both of them has something to proved, Spence wanted to remain on top of this division, while Ugas wanted to show that his win is no fluke against Pacman.

And this is a great style matchup, both can be aggressive and can also play defensive and then be a counter puncher so this is really a great fight in paper although Spence will be the favorite but it will be more closer that we anticipated it to be.

Spence is not as active as Ugas, that's another thing to consider also although Spence is very good on paper we upset happen like what happened with the games between Ugas and Pacman. If the odds of Ugas will be so undervalued, then I might change my mind and will put my bet on Ugas, I'm sure he will not go down easily if he losses in the fight.
3002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 12:10:33 PM
And the Lakers lost again! lol the best recruiter in the looks like he's going to for a new talent coz their bigs are useless
But prior to that, they were coming from a good win streak. Memphis is a great team so losing against this team is not something to be ashamed of, the Lakers did their best, it's just that Memphis is the better team. On the other hand, Klay of the Warriors did not fail my expectation, he is still a great shooter and the dump of his made me nervous a bit, I guess he is back, few more games and he will drop 20+ points again.
3003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 09, 2022, 09:45:24 PM

Cryptos have been counting the ups and downs in a balanced way lately. A coin that increased by 15% today, 2 days later we see that it has decreased by 25%. To what do you attribute this fluctuation?
When will cryptos enter Taurus month? Does anyone have any enlightening information on this subject?

When can ETH catch up with BTC?

We can all see that the cryptocurrency market is very nervous. Large price jumps make inexperienced users panic, which has caused the recent price drops. However, it seems to me that the big investors will soon concentrate sufficiently at low prices and calm the market down. Then we will return to the bull market for the next few months.
Realizing bull market this time is still too far to happen as we are still in a serious correction that might go straight to having a bearish season. And definitely, its better to be practical this time and just learn to accept of what is happening in the market. If you can't buy at this current dip, then never sell your coins but continue hodling them particularly with bitcoin as they will become more profitable when it reaches its new peak. I can sense that this dump will take longer this time so if we can find ways to buy at this dip, i think that will be a good idea since we will also be reaping them after years of hodling.
3004  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good moves of Bitcoin. on: January 09, 2022, 09:10:58 PM
The good move is very simple buy the dip and hold thats it ,but we need to be sure on our decisions because it is always hard to see when our investment goes down and down until we decide to quit and sell all our asset. So we need to set a time limit or how many years we are going to hold the coin to avoid lossing.
not everyone can keep holding because there are others that only seeking profit to survive though this is not the best strategy for them and they should not invest in bitcoin if that is their strategy instead bet in altcoins.
If they are aiming for bitcoin only then they should be ready in keeping holding for at least a year or so because after halving season the dumping happens and usually this last 2-3 years again.
so by now we are in what we can call a bearish year and the net coming so be ready if you have no option of profiteering then best to get out of bitcoin and try other coins.
But trying other coins will not guarantee profit as many altcoins and tokens have the same experience as bitcoin. Maybe we can do now just wait for a while to see where bitcoin will go so we can know what we need to do. But investing in bitcoin will still be a good decision, especially for now because the price is down a lot, and the chance to see the price rise again will be wide open. Yes, we need to be sure with our decisions and that is why we must analyze before we decide.
But if you stick on buying more bitcoin, do not hesitate to start doing it right now. Although there are still possibilities that bitcoin may fall deeper, but buying bitcoin at any value will still be profitable in the long run as long as you intend it to hold for a year or two. But when it comes to altcoins, you need to analyze first which coins you will probably be buying as most of the altcoins today are really dumping, but not all of them will recover so you need to be cautious also not to fall on wrong coins.
3005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 09, 2022, 07:57:55 PM
^  A lot more?  I don’t think so...  30k isn’t really far away from what the price is at right now which is now around 41.2k.  Again, if 30k breaks, we’re done for.  Let’s just hope there aren’t any more huge holders that’s gonna capitulate and add more down side momentum if BTC approaches 30k.  Lol.

But really I’m expecting a bounce to around 46k, maybe 48k then a drop back down to where it’s currently at then hopefully it plays out like July and trends back up again.
With bitcoin making a series of price dumps, i think going down to the price level of $30k is very much possible if all news that come to the market are negative and that will make the whole market even more dumping. Aside from that, if those long term hodlers will start to panic and sell their coins to cut their losses, most likely that the crypto market will experience a total dump in this bear season.

However, looking at the positive side, this is a perfect time to enter the market and start buying all those promising coins that are in their cheap prices. But before that, study first and make a deep research on what coins you will buy during this dip so you won't be wasting your money on shitcoins.
3006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 09, 2022, 04:24:06 PM
Great news for SMB, now they have another option. JMF, Tautua, and Brondial, I guess they are not a joke, they'll dominate inside and they also have a lot of outside shooters, it's really a great pick up by SMB and a great choice for Brondial. I guess this is his 3rd team already in his PBA career.
Really great news and don't forget about Vic Manuel. He's also part of SMB now. And speaking of spin.ph on the quote, I've seen an article from them about how much the lowest salary of a PBA player gets. (https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/how-much-salary-do-the-lowest-paid-pba-players-make-ain-t-bad-at-all-a793-20190312)
The lowest gets paid for P70,000 which is still not bad in our country and it's still a great amount to be considered of having not that much playing.

That PHP70k for one month is good enough if you can live a simple life, but knowing PBA players, they think they are superstars and they have rich friends so their lifestyle might also change. Also, when you play you are prone to get injured, so a player has to work hard to improve his game to earn a better salary. I guess no one is getting at least 500k per month in PBA? even JMP I guess?

Well, this news that I will attach maybe old news but this gives us an idea of how much is the best player in the PBA is making.

https://www.philstar.com/the-freeman/cebu-sports/2015/09/04/1496251/fajardo-set-sign-3-year-multi-million-deal-smb

Quote
With the biggest salary a team can give a player is currently pegged at P420,000 per month, the pact would make Fajardo at least P15 million richer.
no one reaches Php500k per month, but if the players with good potential will decide to play with B League, then for sure 1 million pesos per month is easy for them to make.
3007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 09, 2022, 02:19:18 PM
Let's wait for the betting odds but I also have a feeling that Ancajas will be favored to win here.  Not because his opponent is undefeated it will be tough for Ancajas to crack him, let's all remember that Ancajas is the more experienced fighter with 33 fights while Martinez has only 13.

When it comes to experience, it always has some advantage no matter how good the records of their opponent are because they know how to counter styles based on the past fights they had in the past. Now if Martinez is a real prodigy in boxing like Garcia, Ancajas is in real trouble because he can't just knock him out based on mere experience. He really needs a real working strategy to surprise him when they step in the ring.

I agree with that; he needs to find a good working strategy to knock Martinez down,

Boxing is not always about experienced. Itits more on system and adjustment, though it's also true that experienced gave
a fighter a good edge since he can calculate and quickly change his plan when the current is not working with his opponent,

I mean, experienced fighter will give tough fight to anyone that got lesser fight, it will all depends from how both fighters
prepared and execute their strategies.

We will only find out if the strategy is working if he wins the fight. Though a boxer trained hard but it doesn't guarantee a win as both of them would want to win. Maybe the best fighter wins, that's what we are going to see here and all we can do now is just hope that the fighter we are betting will win.

Also, with the increasing number of omicron virus, let's hope together that it will not result to a postponement or worst cancellation of the fight.
3008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 09, 2022, 01:50:19 PM
And again, most here in this board or at least in boxing threads are Filipinos so there is the biased to bet on their fellow country man. But you can't blame them as Filipinos are known to have a history of good boxers you performed better under the spotlight like Manny, Nonito, Casimero and others in the past. And if the better odds goes like and Magsayo is an underdog then it's really a good bet on him as you know, maybe he can really pull some upsets here.
Yes, it is going to be biased for Filipino gamblers, no doubt. Let's say it's just for additional support betting for him even if not an underdog.
It's also to make the fight more fun cheering your lungs out because you have a bet on the line and that's your countryman who is risking his life to win the fight.
I am done putting my bet for Magsayo and it was of course a biased pick. Better be early than forget it.
Magsayo @3.80
Do we already have a bookie that offers that 3.80 odds in this fight?

I'd love to place my bet now if it's already available, I feel it's a great opportunity to take the odds early so we can get the best value. Who knows, as the fight is approaching the odds might drop so we will not anymore the extra we can get now.
3009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 08, 2022, 11:08:37 PM
It continues to decline. As long as you're sure, that was enough to convince me! It would be nice to keep the rate low for a while longer, however.

A death cross is incoming. We can't ignore the lower lows that started the year.

It's hard to make any assumptions. Okay, I predict it will go either way.
Same with my prediction too. Its even a good catch if the price will lose further so that we can buy bitcoin and good altcoins at their lowest value. The bearish season might take a little bit longer so if we can maximize this opportunity we have at the moment, i think it will bring huge profits for us once the market turns into bullish and bitcoin will reach its new ATH. Its more ideal too if we can buy in every dip.
3010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick reminder from Eric Adams, mayor of the City of New York. on: January 08, 2022, 10:32:42 PM

Well, nice of him to be progressive. I believe there are al ot of folks out there who are waiting to see if he'll honor his word. Truth be told if he really does take his first three paychecks in bitcoin, it's going to make a whole world of difference. That being said, I observed that from the interview, it seems to me he hesitated before giving a response to the question. I must say that this is something that can be quickly misunderstood and misinterpreted most especially by critics and those who which to see bitcoin die if it reoccurs.
That is why he responds laughing as he can't answer yet if he is willing to take the risk and get his first Bitcoin paycheck. I don't think that he hesitates to answer it yes but has no clarity about his words for now. I'm waiting also for him to show his paycheck and if that going to happen, this could obviously make a huge change and others will follow.

I don't mind what his critics will say, they are too naive not to understand the situation and they likely not until the Mayor will prove that they are wrong and take the opportunity to start making a change.
Whether you do it in a positive or negative way, there will always be critics that are unstoppable. So better ignore them for they can't also contribute for our own progress.

However, the mayor may seem to be fearful these days but that won't really matter as long as he knows that bitcoin will eventually go back to its original price in the long run. Its better if we can grab opportunities to buy potential coins this time as all of these will bring good amount of profits when the market starts to be bullish again.
3011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 08, 2022, 09:53:47 PM
The point is bitcoin will return to a good track above March in my opinion, when that happens the top altcoins will also have a better impact, regarding greed that was not achieved in the past is a bad thing, now we should make a study of altcoins, then decide which coins we will invest in, considering that the bull run in the future will affect altcoins up from the previous price, if bitcoin conditions have fully recovered and reached a new ATH, take advantage of this condition to get big profits in the future.
I hope that can happen before March this year so we do not have to wait for a long time to get back to make a profit. But if everything is not happening as predicted, we do not have to feel sad but still try to survive and make a profit using any possible way. I still want to accumulate more bitcoin because the price is down too deep and I think that it can get down for more. But I do not want to buy at once instead of spread my order buy at many level price so that will help me sell some of the price increases later.
With the situation I am seeing, it's bound to lose further value in the upcoming days/weeks. The whole economic situation isn't too promising, everything is going through recession, while Covid isn't helping at all. From my point of view, March may sound too optimistic, however, I also anticipate that the entire situation will have improved by then, providing that nothing unexpected appears, such as a new Covid-19 variant.

It's quite sad seeing our money depreciating, but hopefully it will get better soon.
But we all know all these things are just temporary, right? So we cannot say that bitcoin is going to collapse just because of its downward price movement, because this is part of the market life cycle. And when this bearish season will certainly be over, i think bullish season will be the next to appear. By that time, we can see bitcoin gaining its high value and has even more chances to reach higher peaks that time. And for altcoins, if bitcoin will turn bullish, that will also bring a huge positive impact on the market which will create positive prices for altcoins too.
3012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022 is the time to buy or sell? on: January 08, 2022, 09:34:16 PM
The year 2022 started with bearish season and as we can see bitcoin and lot of altcoins are declining and affected by the current situation. Let's make this as an advantage and chance to buy coins while it's cheap, just remember to just buy it partially and not by a huge sum because we don't know or predict what will likely to happen in the few weeks to come. Just have some research first what to buy before you start investing.

Which coins or tokens? BTC, SOL, ADA and BNB.

The bear trends started earlier than we expected because the year 2021 is not yet ending but the bear trends are already started. So yeah, this year is such a good year to take advantage to bag your favorite crypto, still, if I am going to ask I will not going to forget on my lists the following crypto's: bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Cardano, XRP, Solana, Polkadot and I will also consider the metaverse's and NFT's projects like MANA, Decentraland, and others.
Buying those coins that you do believe will bounce back when the bull came back is the best thing to do.

It's true that the timing is good for investors who understand the market well, those who can buy and wait are those who can benefit a lot,

Just need to make sure dealing with your deeper research before you do your actions. You named those potential coins and by potentials

they are the assets that have good profitable chances.

Of course, DYOR first before you finalize your actions. You don't have to buy most of the coins that are dropping their prices, just buy what you think will definitely grow more in the future. Stick to bitcoin and main altcoins that will create high utility and use cases because that will make them more in demand to their community. And once you decide to hodl them for long term, maybe you can set a target price when to sell them so that your plan will be more concrete.
3013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell a little bitcoin now to get into alts when it all drops soon? on: January 08, 2022, 09:05:07 PM
Don't sell your Bitcoins, instead buy more than you currently have and take advantage of the big correction that occurred to get a lot of Bitcoin discounts. Moreover, when the price of Bitcoin drops, altcoins will also fall and will deepen. Hold bitcoins and add them to the balance in your portfolio in the long term. Always remember the words of others "The bitcoins you buy today will never be found again at that price". There is no ideal choice but to collect more. Because if the bitcoin train is running, anyone and for whatever reason will be left far behind.
You are right. Selling bitcoin at a low price is definitely not a good thing to do. Just wait when the market turns bullish again so you can sell your bitcoin at a good amount. While others are prioritizing to buy bitcoin at this dip, then there you are thinking to sell bitcoin just to buy altcoins. I understand that you really want to make this opportunity fulfilling on your part but what you're planning to do is not the best thing to do. If you don't have extra funds to buy altcoins at this dip, then don't push it hard. Your portfolio is not that bad as long as you have bitcoin that will make your future more bright and profitable.
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 08, 2022, 02:04:17 PM
They are adding more good players since they know other teams are also doing great on hiring good players, they can’t afford to get behind especially if they still have the budget to look for other players. This is indeed a great player addition, let’s hope for PBA to continue their conference soon so we can see those great players again.

Like what teams are also doing on hiring good players recently? And SMB will never get behind. They are still far one of the best lineups and whole roster in the league, especially in All-Filipino. PBA will surely continue as different from the first postponement where it's just one game were done before the league was shut down, the current league is almost in halfway of the Governor's Cup.

We just don't know when since every day is crucial. Almost all people have coughs and colds and it's an automatic Covid positive lol. From 20,000+ cases before the OCTAngina Research said that it might be double next week.

Shortage of medicines for fever and cough is happening already, people are hoarding it because they believe they could be infected anymore as this virus is a fast-spreading one. I hope the number of deaths will not increase, we can be infected but let's hope we can easily recover and we don't need to go to the hospital as they cannot accommodate anymore.
3015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't have it on: January 07, 2022, 11:46:37 PM
against the work system
Every Cryptocurrency enthusiast has a story to tell because we're once against and don't believe that cryptocurrency can be this good because the government makes us believe everything that has to do with crypto is mainly illicit.

from here I started to think, the reason why people still hate bitcoin is because they don't exist and have never felt what it's like to be here so when other people say it's very good they won't believe it because they haven't felt it before.
It is understandable and one of the reputable Bitcoin enthusiast have once said that "it takes only the genius mind to understand what Bitcoin is"
I think even in all aspects its always the case that you cannot learn to love something unless you have it already. So its very clear that those bitcoin haters don't have any bitcoin of their own so they cannot experience the way bitcoin owners felt. I think better leave them on their own and focus on our goal here which is to maximize our profits and start earning. Bitcoin is only unsettling for those who cannot afford to invest in it.
3016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is more important Hype or Utility? on: January 07, 2022, 09:54:48 PM
It's depend on someone's personality of course. If the guy is a short term person. Definitely he is looking into hype that could easily give money or up prototypes or profit in short term. While long term are more concerned about the utility and its use cases. Some are totally mad on some altcoins that doesn't have utility or let's just say for being an altcoins/tokens. But they don't look or ignore the idea or definition of utility in a much broader way.

Hype coin may give you a good return in short term but the real gems are the utility tokens which can go much higher in value in a longer duration. I prefer utility coins/tokens over the hyped ones. However you can keep both in your portfolio.
It will keep us more secured from losses if we prefer utility and its use cases rather than on a short term hype. But if we can also be profitable with hype, that will be good too but definitely always be cautious so as not to end up still losing.

However, if we can keep them both, i think that will create a huge profits i guess. Meme coins are just solid examples of being profitable because of hype, but of course we should give more emphasis on strong altcoins as they have good utility and use cases that will bring them profits in the long term.
3017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have we opened the bear season? on: January 07, 2022, 09:19:30 PM
I personally believe so.

I think that the markets have turned quite bearish, especially with ETH dropping faster than BTC in the past day which is definitely not a great sign for everyone involved in DeFi and Metaverse projects that are using ETH as a basis.

Deleverage and derisk is my mantra right now and I think that most people should do the same - you shouldn't be putting money into any margin positions, no matter how high your conviction is, because alts can stay undervalued longer than you can stay solvent.

Yes as Bitcoin falls down to 41k now https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ i think this is a clear message that we are entering a Bearish market and we will see more of this, as i am looking for at least 20k level as i will surely enjoy buying more like what i missed back in 2020  Grin
but this time with funds inside my pocket that is ready for season like that.
Yes, good luck, I do not hesitate to say that we have definitely passed the bear period. As of now and for 20 days, everything is red!! Do you think this may have happened?

I believe this is still just a correction. Indeed, it is quite disturbing, but I believe that we are in an uptrend all the time. In fact, only the largest coins dropped prices. The prices of many alctoins are rising all the time, so maybe this is the beginning of the altcoin season..(?)  Roll Eyes
I don't think this is correction mate, we have not experience any high increase recently so what would be corrected?

No this is a sign of bearishness and wait till you believe in the following days.
I think we'll probably know that we are already entering a bearish season if all the coins are already in bloody. And right now, i think we are still heading to a market bearish season and it may happen maybe weeks from now. But whatever it is, seeing the market that is constantly dropping its market value, the best thing we can do for now is to start buying potential and promising coins, and definitely hold those old and new coins for future profits. Selling this time is certainly not advisable.

President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Turks should keep all their savings in lira and that recent exchange rate volatility was largely under control after the lira weakened sharply in the last two months.

"I want all my citizens to keep their savings in our own money, to run all their business with our own money, and I recommend this," Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul.

"Let's not forget this: as long as we don't take our own money as a benchmark, we are doomed to sink. The Turkish Lira, our money, that is what we will go forward with. Not with this foreign currency, that foreign currency."

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/erdogan-calls-turks-keep-all-savings-lira-2021-12-31/

Who should be blamed for “that”, President Erdogan? You want everyone to hold the Turkish Lira, while your cabal inflate and deflate the currency according to your “mood”.

Bitcoin is the back up/fall back that we need.
That is basically what they want, governments want to steal the purchasing power of your money while at the same time you do nothing to defend yourself, this is the equivalent of someone point a knife at you and somehow being unable to use your right to self-defense.

And as you may guess it does not matter how powerful they believe they are this is never going to work, then when the currency the government has been printing like crazy devalues they blame people for not being patriot enough to lose everything they have worked during their lives and accept the government to take it away.

Ridiculous I know, but that is what those politicians actually think.
You already know how selfish they are when it comes to that. While the citizens are sinking into poverty, the government officials are even making progress in their own personal lives. I actually think there's no wrong investing or saving from bitcoin because that will actually generate profits in the future. The problem is within the close mindset of the president as he is trying to manipulate his citizens not to use bitcoin or other foreign currencies. Before we knew it, they are already secretly involved in it and are already making profits. That's the worst scenario i guess.
3019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: January 05, 2022, 09:55:59 PM
Yes if you know how to trade and if you are able to have a good analysis and instinct in trading which can be achieved by training or constantly trading but if you've been trading for more than a year and you are still not earning and still don't know how to make profit in trading, then there's something with your analysis and you need further knowledge and experience in trading.
Learning trading has a long and continuous process so it will definitely take time before you can say you are already a master of it. But if you think you are still incurring more losses than gains even a year of trading, i think the problem is in you. Give yourself a break, and come back when you think you are better and is more ready to regain all your losses. I suggest focus on long term trading first because that will ensure more profits and definitely has a low risk. Day trading is more risky so you need to have gained more good experiences first before you'll see yourself confident in day trading.
3020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: January 05, 2022, 09:22:58 PM
Call it hypocrisy or whatever but it seems to me a sly tactic or a veteran move that will somehow assure them that whichever way things go they are benefitting from it one way or another. If there is a battle against fiat and whatever crypto hype there is right now, they better have a stake in both. Although they are heavily staked in USD and may not like crypto, since NFT is already reaching tens of billions of trades, they better get themselves involved in it as well.
That's what it is, we know how shrewd of a businessman if not a person Trump is so I don't think that it's really not surprising that he is doing this kind of hypocritical contradictions. Also, I don't think Trump is just sitting there being a crypto hatter and seeing the massive profits it can bring in when you have the right amount of money to invest in.
absolutely , a Businessman like Him will not close His Eyes and Pocket without gaining anything from this profitable market as he manage to become millionaire if not billionaire without the chance of cryptocurrency profiting what more now that His wife is involving from this.
so he will never let this chance passed without taking his Piece of Cake from the market.
so I know he was just making diversion from His comments but deep inside he is into it.
Well, knowing Trump, he is starting to be like Elon. Because we know he can't just leave seeing alone all the profits in crypto overflowing without benefiting from it. So he must be into it secretly but pretend to be a hater of crypto when in fact he's already gaining from it. And to think that dollar will depreciate, so he must have other option to make profits and definitely crypto is a good option for fiat. I guess things will definitely be reveal in the long run, for now let's just leave Trump on his own stand.
