3001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 02:24:03 AM
The only purpose to canceling his order is to punish him which will silence unhappy customers and help obscure their failures.

... and this is what just blows my mind. By canceling my orders, they have done the exact opposite of silencing me Sad

It just doesn't make any logical sense. They have left me incensed. As Val Kilmer once said, "It's a moral imperative" now.
Xian is the one.

He will free us from Zion!
3002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 02:22:56 AM

11. Wouldn't you after having been bent over for 11 months ? I've been on this planet for a while, been involved in a few lawsuits, have seen some things and stuff, but I've never, EVER, come near to a customer experience like this.

This is just not how a normal company conducts business. Certainly not any tech company I have ever conducted business with.

Sir, calm down.

If you did not know, wrenchmonkey is always "bent over" while doing work. That is what wrenchmonkey is known for...hence the name? (I speculate)
3003  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 02:21:04 AM
He didn't cancel, which indicates that he didn't believe what he was saying, and instead was just being malicious.

1) Pre-order product
2) Get taunted by COO of BFL on Forums. Made to endure one broken promise after another. No shipping date in sight after 11 months of waiting.
3) Call him on his bullshit
4) Repeatedly
5) COO punitively cancels orders from butt-hurt
6) Makes sure pre-order customer also is made to feel butt-hurt - awaiting refund in paypal account

Is this an accurate assessment of the situation ?

1) Pre-order product.
2) Shipping delays.
3) Taunt company ceaselessly, sling mud, pick fights, make accusations and allusions to fraud, etc. Insult multiple corporate officers of company.
4) Repeatedly.
5) Company says enough is enough, cancels order and asks for refund account info.
6) Pathetic attempt at backpedaling.
7) Post the butthurt on public forum for a little more taunting/mudslinging.
Cool Backpedaling didn't work.
9) Accept fate, send refund account information late in day (probably not too long before closing time).
10) Immediately complain that you don't have refund yet, in butthurt thread. Update every 20 minutes that you still don't have refund.
11) Cry to AG office, as though you're a victim of some conspiracy to 'borrow' money interest-free/target you for being (Black? Female? Gay? Christian? Huh)
Anyone notice that in wrenchmonkeys twisted reality, the COO never taunted him at all?

This should be sent to your local psychologist for study and possible review.
3004  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 02:06:34 AM
AFAIK this is completely legal on BFL's part, it also makes perfect sense for BFL to do this.

Given that BFL's business will flounder without generating pre-sales to fund their production, they need to continue collecting new investors. They can't collect new investors if the old ones fill these forums with complaints. If Wired or Ars Technica stumbled across one of these threads full of BFL pre-orders shouting and brandishing their torches & pitchforks then BFL is toast.

By publicly evicting a few outspoken critics, they hope to silence the complaints of their pre-order base. If the complaints swell to a critical mass, people might start asking for their money back en masse and BFL cannot abide that.

Plus, Josh's ego won't let the sort of things the OP said pass without some form of retaliation.

In other news, Avalon batch 2 is shipping.

P.S. Maybe you could ask Avalon to sneak in 1 extra unit into batch 2 for you. It might be a PR coup for them Wink
Wow, that is a very good idea....

"or payment option is out of funds"

We are out of funds.
Any chance of reloading soon?

Your Cashiers check service is down.
Your Paypal transfers is down.
Your Wire transfers are down.
Your ACH transfers are down.

So effectively it is closed down. Sad
3006  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (Update: additional PayPal funds available) on: May 16, 2013, 07:49:31 PM
Update: Additional check & PayPal funds available.
Additional Dwolla funds will be available tomorrow.
There isn't any showing up at my end?

"Quantity to sell exceeds maximum payable funds or payment option is out of funds"

I am literally only selling 1 bitcoin to Paypal.
3007  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Remember last October when BFL said they would ship by the end of the month? on: May 16, 2013, 09:41:57 AM
Hey, I have a crazy question.

If BFL said that they got to 500mhz to 1.1Ghz which was roughly...16Gh/s~ per chip when they were still using plastic packaging....

How exactly would the chips have survived if they hadn't switched over to the new packaging?

Me think they knew their chips were probably going to be very very hot....then again, I have no proof of that.

The first shipped out Jalapenos I have heard already killed one or two ventilation fans inside...
I think the Jalapeno casing is inadequately ventilated. Then again, I am no expert on fans or thermal designs. The same issues with overheating happened with FPGA's if I recall correctly.

----------------------

If the old test batch had a power efficiency of 1 watt per Gh/s...
If run at high clock at 1.1Gh's it would have consumed about 120watts per chip at the old spec.

The current chips would have anywhere from (x1.76 watts) to (x6.00watts) per Gh/s.

This last edition I made based on BFL Customer Service replies also went down the drain...

I wouldn't even know what to estimate in terms of delivery times. Has anyone heard any new estimates from customer service these days?
3010  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Remember last October when BFL said they would ship by the end of the month? on: May 16, 2013, 09:23:09 AM

I think it is safe to say that BFL's chips never got above 300mhz.....

Actually, if the 2 chip Jally's performance is any indication, they probably never got beyond 160mhz at any reasonable power spec. My chart shows what BFL said would be their power draw per Gh/w.

Though we all know now the overall system is several multiples of 1watt per Gh/s
3011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I preordered a BFL Jalapeņo early February. Worth keeping, or sell on ebay? on: May 16, 2013, 05:02:32 AM
Dump it while you can.

No one stone me for believing in this being possible....

I've already given up,not refunding though..............They will never catch up this year.

Looking into spending my BTC & cash on the "home-made Avalon ASIC" devices  Cheesy  Or someone elses devices, have to wait & see who comes up with what.

& I agree they lied about most everything since the beginning  Angry
Believe it or not, you giving up saddens me a bit.

I used to remember how you were right up there with Lab Rat in supporting BFL. I recall even Lab Rat had some doubts a few months ago. I see they made him a moderator on BFL forums.

Edit: ASIC J is also starting to fall by the way side. When even hardcore supporters start to fall away....it's more troubling than even the hardest troll turning into a total shill.

3013  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Remember last October when BFL said they would ship by the end of the month? on: May 16, 2013, 02:44:44 AM

I honestly have no idea if I'll ever get my mid 2012 order shipped.  At the moment I'd put the odds at 50/50 at best, with a daily decline.  BFL has to be burning through large chunks of money to keep employees on site and pay the rent.  Every time they ask for a PCB revision or another batch of test chips I shudder at the thought of how much all of this is costing.

I agree 50/50 at best... I guess I'm waiting until the bitter end on this one. If BFL doesn't ship, I guess no more mining for me.

... in other news, my asicminer shares are paying nice dividends Grin
How much are you earning with ASICMiner?

A round estimate?
3014  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFLabs: May 13, 2013 [Update] on: May 16, 2013, 12:38:13 AM

I would be interesting in seeing the court records of the CEO fraud conviction you claim.

Wow, you really must be clueless. Someone educate him on that topic....

Avalon has begun shipping Batch # 2!

 Grin

A few thousand BFL customers just cussed right now....

3016  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who all has received Jalapenos? on: May 15, 2013, 09:25:40 PM
So, whats the total number of devices they have shipped so far? 25? 50? Out of 20,000+?

~35-40 units so far.
...45 days. Since April 1st (Luke JR's tabletop to tabletop shipping)

(no I am not kidding)

Another day, another difficulty increase and NO hardware.  Such clown shoes.

What kind of person would order from BFL currently.  There is hope and then there is stupid.  Roll Eyes

Want to see something really sad?

This is what BFL introduced at CES 2013...at about January or February 2013...some 3 or 4 months after customers were supposed to get their devices.

THIS IS NO JOKE!

What? You don't believe me do you? Okay, here is a video I found in about five seconds on Youtube showing the case of fans at CES (with cover on).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujl-_F7D724

Guess what? Yeah, I pulled up the video in Youtube by these search terms: "CES Box of Fans"

Yes, I am not kidding...go try it out yourself.
