Credit cards >>>>>>>>>>> Bitcoins

as far as porn goes.

I would have said the opposite, without hesitation, while bitcoin is not fully anon is still more anon  than any credit/debit card, unless you are talking about those anon credit card, but many of these are just a plain scam

don't know why but i always feel more confortable to pay with bitcoin, it gives you that sense of freedom and escape from the world

Ill have to agree, I wouldnt want people knowing which porn sites I send my money to, especially my credit card company.

Bitcoin could come in handy when receiving refunds from porn companies. Otherwise they would probably send you a check with "porn site refund" stamped in large letters on the back. Nobody would consider paying a check like that into their account.

I actually didnt think of that, thats actually worse than "brazzers" (or something else) coming up on your credit report.
3003  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should i just move to china and farm bitcoins? on: June 06, 2015, 08:29:10 PM
I've done a rough calculation where I've rounded everything up, according to my calculations, if I would only spend 15 BTC I'd go ROI after 8 months, which sounds pretty good (I've added a 8% increase in difficulty every 12th day)

the ROI might be a little longer if you have to use some of the mined coins for daily expenses as well, just something to keep in mind. another thing to keep in mind is upgrading and maintaining your miners, ROI might be further off than 8 months.
3004  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: June 06, 2015, 08:27:17 PM
I think the easiest way to earn one btc on these forums is to join a signature campaign. If you have goods to sell you could try sell them on the marketplace.

I'm earning around 0.1 Bitcoin every month. I could earn 1 Bitcoin in ten months if I continue posting on this forums - participating in Signature campaign.
you get 0.1 BTC in one month. sr.member actually be able to get 0.1 BTC within 1-2 weeks, so you quicker to get 1btc  Wink

There are some campaigns that you can get more than that. I saw one that was offering 0.2 for 80 posts in a month. That's actually very good money if you have a higher ranked account.

the rates vary per campaign, but they all only accept quality, constructive posts. People enroll under the ones that best suit their needs and wants; example: people might enroll in a monthly campaign with lower pay if they dont have the time to post often enough to meet the minimum in weekly campaigns.

3006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NYC man robbed of bitcoins on: June 06, 2015, 08:20:30 PM
The media is deffinitely corrupted.

of course, negativity is the main criteria for the media in this country. the news stations here cant even make a calm report on the status of ebola in the US, what makes you think they can make an informative report on bitcoin, which they probably know next to nothing about besides that it was used to buy drugs on silk road
3007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: June 06, 2015, 08:16:51 PM
I know he posted in this forum... Did anyone ever look into the forums logs to maybe trace him by IP address?

He always used Tor Browser and VPN to hide his real IP address.

And this is true because which admin looked at such for no reason?

User: Admin, can you look to see where Satoshi logs in from?
Admin: Sure, no prob.
User: Thanks.
Admin: WOW! This dude is slick. He or she used Tor and an VPN to hide his real IP address.
User: Thanks anyway.

Question: Which admin looked and why, then how did this truism become mainstream if the request was via some official means, for even via any other means, I can't think of a situation where an admin would take it upon himself to see what they could dig up then report the none-findings to the community. Think about it! This doesn't make a lick of sense.

Theymos looked at his logged IPs addresses according to this post. He doesn't say why but he thinks they are Tor addresses.

I'll probably release Satoshi's PMs and logged IPs addresses in ~8 years. This'd probably be of great historical interest. (Though he always used Tor, as far as I can tell.)

Although I don't know much about Tor I guess theymos must because admins need to know a lot of technical things the rest of us don't have to take an interest in. If he says they are Tor addresses I trust his judgement.

i believe there is a way to distinguish TOR traffic from regular traffic, same as how some (terrible) ISP's can detect users that use p2p traffic. My guess is theymos has observed the traffic from satoshi's use on the forum and has a general idea that he used TOR to access the forum.
3008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an actual Bitcoin bank yet? on: June 06, 2015, 08:13:54 PM

3009  Economy / Lending / Re: need 0.035 btc loan no collateral repayment within 2 days. amt .04 on: June 06, 2015, 07:35:02 PM
I understand but it is a hastle changing password and entrusting other ppl of account for just 2 days, I dnt risk ne trust here its my main accnt

its not a hastle again if you are not willing to offer your account good luck with the loan. this could of been done by now.
"noooo changing my password by typing it in twice what a hassle for 10 dollars trust me i have no negative feedback i promise i give back money trust me bro"

summarizes this and every pm ive received from him.
3010  Economy / Lending / Re: mini loan on: June 06, 2015, 07:24:31 PM
You sir are being a child,

in order for you to get a loan sign a message and offer your account as collateral if you can not do either of those two simple things don't ask for a loan.

I would show some of these pms to show how much of a brat this guy is but im not that low, just take my word for it.
3011  Economy / Lending / Re: need 0.035 btc loan no collateral repayment within 2 days. amt .04 on: June 06, 2015, 07:15:47 PM
why you created duplicate thread when you already have one
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1081510.0

users are ready to give you a loan without collateral, they just want a signed message to prove ownership of the account to make sure it is not hacked account.
because I need the loan urgently,

I can provide the signed message but that guy just act like an a**

you have demonstrated you are incapable of following directions and needed my through help every step of the way, and are citing that just because you repaid a loan and have no negative feedback, you are a "trusted member of the community." The fact that you refuse to offer collateral given your circumstances and refuse to give a properly signed message, even going so far as to complain to me that I rudely "posted your address" on a forum when it was already out there is simply ludicrous. I was helpful enough to offer you the loan but you refused to take any initiative and expected to be babied the entire process. you calling me "unreasonable" is whats unreasonable here. Even after I offered to give you a loan all you did was insult me and if you seriously think youre still in the right here you have some issues. I'm not as low as you to dissuade others from giving you a loan, but I will say that dealing with you is a real pain in the ass. I did nothing but assist you in during a period of time lasting over an hour through private message and you still have the audacity to insult me and call me unreasonable and an ass. back to the ignore list now, permanently.

In addition, with the bolded statement above, there are a few warning signs and I didn't want to deal with the likely possibility that you would be late with your loan and trying to decipher what you were trying to say through all the broken english.

You can't reverse a personal payment on paypal
Yes you can, personal payments can be reversed with paypal, avoid reversible collaterals

just about everything on paypal is reversible, especially with bitcoin-related stuff since paypal's protection policies do not cover digital goods. I'm surprised this guy keeps trying after telling him the exact same thing on MZ's thread, then tries to play it off saying he bought some on circle.
3014  Economy / Auctions / Re: Member account on auction on: June 06, 2015, 06:57:10 PM
If you can't sign message, how can you prove the account is really yours?
Where did he say that he couldn't provide this?
read the first post, he said he can't sign a message

"Dont ask me about signing messages as I lost access to that wallet."

wow what an original excuse i gotta say ive never heard of that before /s

also, posting the exact number of posts the account has makes it easier for some people to narrow down which account is being sold, really drives down the value
3015  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: June 06, 2015, 06:51:14 PM
After launching the site we discovered some flaws in it, also we found out that the provably fair system is not 100% fair and it's not good to let people play in such unfair condition, so we took the website down till we fix the problems.
it wasn't supposed to be down all that time but it's happened and it will be up again in 3 days AT MOST.

Okay, so what about the cold storage verification you were supposed to provide? You've still failed to provide any proof of that and you're currently just under a week late on it. Even if your website is down, you should still be able to provide proof of your cold storage - so what is causing the delay, may I ask?

Agreed, there is no reason for the delay in proof of cold storage; simply posting a signed address on here should suffice. You don't need a working site to do that, just the wallet that holds your site's funds.

A lot of doubt should disappear when this is done.
3016  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What is Your Favorite Faucet? on: June 06, 2015, 06:49:52 PM
My two favorites are also moonbitcoin and zebra.  There is also moonlitecoin and moondogecoin if you are in to that sort of thing.  The zebra faucet used to also have a place where you can roll dice to multiply your winnings, but it doesn't take it away if you lose.

Overall though I found faucets to be a complete waste of time.  Write a blog, or post a service on the market section for something you are good at.  It doesn't even have to be bitcoin related.  Are you a good painter?  I bet some people would want an original painting for a reasonable price.  Maybe you could do paintings of coins.  That is just an example but you get the point.

I think the only way to really get anything out of a faucet it to get hundreds of referrals, offering banners for users to advertise might be a great idea.

After the Bergi01 spam on the forum, it's seems to be an obviously scam project.
Their last posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=233962;sa=showPosts

Stay away if you don't want to be infected.

someone also commented that theres a required download in one of the threads that bergi01 spammed, zero doubt this is malware.
3018  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: June 06, 2015, 05:21:49 PM
We will provide our cold storage wallet in few days.

Did this happen yet? It has been 10 days since you wrote that.

i think so when they went offline without any communication that made it more complicated for players to keep trust on it, they have to explain what is the reason of this suddenly went to offline, if they have valid reason for this than they can grow their business with good ways.

You are right but complicated is an understatement here is no redemption here imo, what they done was easily avoided with a simple post on the day of going offline with the of refunds before. Even if they show cold storage which they won't what does it matter, I would not trust them and anyone that does is asking for trouble.

yeah, theres already plenty of well established and trusted dice sites in this industry already, after an incident like this I doubt they can make a comeback and earn people' trust. If they do, its going to take a lot of advertising and time.
