3006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin wallet QT any better for mac? on: August 19, 2013, 10:25:59 AM
I use bitcioin-qt and quite a few times I open the damn thing and it has to start from scratch rebuilding the block database. I am fed up with it. Are there any other options which are just as safe?
3007  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB eruptors are terrible or have I been unlucky? on: August 18, 2013, 09:13:00 PM
It's all very well saying I was stupid to buy them. Obvious really. I just did not expect the difficulty to increase so much over such a short time
3008  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB eruptors are terrible or have I been unlucky? on: August 18, 2013, 07:51:46 PM
yeah I will check here first defo. I might as well have bought a bitcoin for 500 pounds lol
3009  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB eruptors are terrible or have I been unlucky? on: August 18, 2013, 07:23:00 PM
I new the difficulty will go up but not that much. Anyway I do understand it just wanted to know if anyone had any similar experiences?
3010  Bitcoin / Hardware / USB eruptors are terrible or have I been unlucky? on: August 18, 2013, 07:13:49 PM
I bought 10 block eruptors for around 1k and I was going to be making a bitcoin every 15 days. Now it has gone up to every 30 days! What is all that about? No way I am going to get my ROI. Plus the eruptors are much cheaper now so more people will buy them then difficulty rating will go up. I may have we'll flushed my money down the toilet. My next 1k I spend will actually be on buying bitcoins not this ASIC rubbish its a fools game
3011  Bitcoin / Hardware / How many block eruptors for a raspberry pi on: August 18, 2013, 06:54:47 PM

3012  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: usb hub issues?! on: August 16, 2013, 11:52:40 AM
Oh bolloxs!
3013  Bitcoin / Hardware / usb hub issues?! on: August 16, 2013, 11:35:21 AM
I read the k1 usb list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0
and I bought 2 hubs.
1. Orico USB 3.0
2. D-Link DUB-H7

I am using a raspberry pi with minepeon. The D-link worked fine and great!. However the orico USB 3.0 did absolutely nothing. Does anyone know why this is? Is it because it is UNB 3.0? Will this make any difference? I dont know if my block erupt ors are K1 only I bought them a month ago. Thanks. Ps I have tried both ports with only 1 eruptor in. Nothing happens with the ORico!

I take it you have USB Eruptors? what kind of hub are you using? Port 9 is way off...if the power supply is right and cooling I only see less than 1% error on mine. So all yours seem to have a high error rate and like I said port 9 is way off.

I also hope #19421 gets fixed.

Hi thanks I am using 3 hubs and one of them is plugged into the raspberri pi itself I am guessing this one is the problem. I have a fan on all of them.. I will be buying a better hub however. I have wasted a lot of money on hubs so far
