3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: November 23, 2017, 06:59:50 PM
Hey folks,

about 16h ago I made XMR transaction. Unfortunatelly the recipient is still waiting for it to arrive. My Monero-wallet displays BlockHeight 0 for that tx.
I tried
Code:
flush_txpool
and it seemed to cancle the tx.

However I tried to send the transaction again and it is again stuck with a BlockHeight 0.

Any suggestion on how to solve this?

Thanks,
Kryptowerk

Few questions first:

1. Are you using the GUI or CLI?

2. Which version are you using?

3. If you're using the CLI, can you type "status" (without the quotation marks) into monerod and post the output here.

4. If you're using the GUI, can you go to the Settings page and press on "Show status". Subsequently, post the output here.

5. Can you find your transaction hash / ID on a block explorer?

Thank you for the efforts.

It seems I am using an outdated version. The reason why didn't suspect this was bcause my monero daemon said "synchronised with the network" and the client also displayed "connected".
However after running it for two hours in the background now, it is stuck @block 1400001.

1) GUI

2) GUI version: 13253c3
embedded monero version: dd580d7

3) typing status into monerod confirmed it was stuck @block 1400001 and gave me a nice "update needed" info

4) I don't see a "show status" button anywhere (?)

5) nope, https://moneroblocks.info doesn't find it, but I guess it's impossible anyway to broadcast a transaction when my blockchain isn't fully synced?

My question now is: Can I just download the latest monero gui and replace the old files?

Thank you very much!

If you need other coin address, let me know and I will get one for you.
**Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Clashic, and whatever else the flavor of the week "Bitcoin-XXX" are not accepted due to them being the devil... that's what mamma said**

So, you accepting BTX (Bitcore) then? Not a BTC fork, but might well be the new GPU-Litecoin (imho).
Also by the same reputable devs as Bitsend, your profile sponsor. ; )

If so, count me in for 1 BTX for #9. If you establish a wallet and accept BTX for future raffles etc. I'll make it 2 BTX.

Sure thing...  I have added a BTX address to the OP for payment Wink
and, yes, I'll take it for future raffles Grin
That's awesome, thanks.
Here is the Tx id for 2 BTX: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1b99299fd7c534fb2010d3535eb76f7950ee689123eb8c990edf2e6cef874890.htm

If I had more knowledge about Monero I would even consider bidding on this. Regarding Monero's recent rise in price the current 3.5 BTC isn't really a high premium either - maybe even a good long term investment in terms of the XMR value!
What a wonderful set, GL to all bidders. And where is Icebreaker? Cheesy

We're building a strong support at 320/330k sats.. that's really good!

If we can stay at that price for a few days, we'll move to the next support at 500k sats by early December.

BTW I've seen many posts on the airdrop where ppl don't calculate the compound %.. The December airdrop is not 16% (4x4%), but 16.99%.
Indeed many people seem to oversee the power of a compounding effect.

I can't find a wikipedia page for Bitcore, not even at the overview and compare between Bitcoin forks.

Is there anybody around to make up a short informative one?
Try this image from the ANN, 1st post, I recommend reading it.

3015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Incorrect Bitcore(BTX) Circulating Supply on CMC on: November 21, 2017, 12:52:23 PM
There is an argument to be made, regarding the "lost BTX" that will probably never move after our snapshot. Let's assume it is more around 50% of the snapshot coins. So 4 Mil. will be lost forever.
My question is: So what?
It is estimated that as much as 8 Mil. Bitcoin (BTC) are lost forever. Now that's 50% of the current supply! Still, nobody cares, because it is hard to prove and worst case scenario 1 BTC is just much rarer than most people assume.
Same goes for Bitcore and its virtual fork, with the only difference that we will have a much higher total supply that is actually alive, because the snapshot was only giving 0.5 BTX : 1 BTC!

All current forks suffer the same problem, yet coinmarketcap displays them correctly.
So in my opinion it is only a matter of time (hopefully not too much longer) until cmc does display our correct numbers, which is ~9.95 Mil BTX at the moment.

Enjoy our airdrops.

Kind regards,
Kryptowerk

With only current wallets registered  (~1,415,000 BTX) the airdrop will last until Mid May and 100 BTX would turn into 445BTX indeed.

However, we have
Total - ~16,000,000 BTX
Split into:

~1,415,000 BTX - These are "airdrop-enabled" wallets
~5,148,981 BTX - The airdrop wallet Smiley
~1,500,000 BTX - Devs' wallets - not included in airdrop. But if they would sell part of it - the ones who buy could subscribe to the airdrop.
~8,000,000 BTX - Not registered to airdrop: allocated to BTC owners  + exchanges + wallets not subscribed to airdrop.

If 10% of the 8,000,000 BTX would subscribe every month to airdrop (meaning +200,000BTX/mo), the airdrop would last until March 19, and a wallet with 100 BTX on Nov 20 will have ~230 BTX on March19, 2018.
However I think it is not realistic as many BTC holders do not know about it etc.

So the truth is somewhere in the middle - for 100 BTX now you would have between 130BTX and 345BTX "airdropped"

Nice stats, thank you.
It is indeed very difficult to predict how long the airdrop supply will last.

Regarding CMC: Did you look at our poll? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2428201.0
We are already providing detailed statistics of BTX' supply.
