3021  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is Low Fee, Full Service U.S. capable exchange+wallet on: March 11, 2022, 11:53:10 PM
Let's not confuse between exchange and wallet, an exchange doesn't have private key and they have control over your money, while wallet you have the private key and only person have private key can control the wallet. What you mentioned above is exchange and not a wallet (e.g. Bitcoin core, Electrum, Blue wallet).
Not all kind of wallet though, there's a sub-category for that made by businesses to make profit under the name of a "wallet", non-custodial and custodial wallet.
Custodial wallet works like an exchange, no private keys = not full control, but it still named as a "wallet".

Okay, having thoughts of what khaled0111 mentioned, I have tried to put "dns.google"[1] on Private DNS in my android phone and it works, but not the url from the OP which I guess something like bitly or a tracking URL for the clicks.

3023  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOWCasino.com | The #1 Crypto Casino on: March 11, 2022, 08:29:27 PM
Instead of blocking the range of ip address to access the site why not just dont let them be able to register or make something like an alert, Instead of blocking them to access the website?.
I don't think the problem is at their end. Most of the users who couldn't access the website are from the philippines which is not one of the restricted countries according to ToS. My guess is that the access to the casino is being blocked by ISPs, probably because of the word "casino" in the URL (dns filtering).

Can anyone confirm this by changing their DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (Google dns server) or 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare dns server) instead of the default one.

Upon the "guessing" logic, I can access these casino websites even having the word "casino" in their domain names

Websites searched from google.
Code:
7bitcasino.com
mbitcasino.com
bitcasino.io
So the guess isn't valid anymore. I still think that this is from their end, coz PH doesn't have a law or notice from NTC to ban these kind of websites.
3024  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOWCasino.com | The #1 Crypto Casino on: March 11, 2022, 08:03:35 PM
So we just see another new casino, welcome aboard!

I know the tagline is pretty common. But what makes you the #1 crypto casino even the site is only new?

Also, the site is unreachable even though I have tried to access the URL mentioned and Im not from the restricted country.

Instead of blocking the range of ip address to access the site why not just dont let them be able to register or make something like an alert, Instead of blocking them to access the website?.
3025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happened to my motivation on: March 11, 2022, 05:02:13 PM
Losing in just one move seems reckless betting your all into this one move, always don't put your eggs in just one basket.

For now focus on what you have left, learned from the mistakes you get and start over, just try and try since you have the knowledge already and stop having a mindset that you will become rich overnight, crpto isn't like that unless you saved hundreds of bitcoin bought years back and decided to open and recover those coins at one night,
3026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 30,000 Bitcoin Buy-In on coinbase on: March 11, 2022, 04:49:09 PM
When price is in dip this is an expectation mostly from big investors, institutional investors and from random rich guy, and this is nothing new, besides of the buy, price doesn't affect much coz it's just like normal.

It's just a question of how much BTC is available through OTC, but without a doubt it's millions - which means there are far more who want to sell than buy.
A question that won't get old. As long as these exchanges getting large quantity of daily volume their holdings and availability to sell, it will be always be without limit and it cost millions.
3027  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATMs forced to shutdown in the UK on: March 11, 2022, 04:32:51 PM
Why would anyone (aside from tourists maybe) use them anymore when exchanges are offering way lower fees.
More like because people can buy or sell using their cash? I cannot think other than good reasons for that though.

That being said, I'm pretty sure currency converters still exist where you can put up to $10000/€10000 into a machine and it'll spit out gbp for you - without kyc and those are normally in supermarkets.
Maybe because it is called "Bitcoin ATM" and knowing the characteristics of bitcoin so "KYC" is a requirement, but I don't think how KYC will work in bitcoin ATMs though.
3028  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 04:16:52 PM
Stake is very active in getting celebrities to promote them.
With a gambling with lots of users I bet their marketing plan aside from having signature campaign and forum ads is more like effective.

But seeing this page[1], I feel like it is really a partnership between the two, beside drake is long time and VIP of stake player plus his influence and that's a really good choice of stake having him.

3029  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 02:34:00 PM
I received this information from Stake via email. It turns out that his previous cooperation with the casino gave a good conversion and they decided to continue it further. I wonder in what form the giveaway will take place, I would like to participate )
I didn't really follow that thread and I might have missed some discussion. so, does this mean that the bet drake made on SuperBowl was really just a publicity stunt just like what the other members suspected?

No one has direct evidence of this (maybe only the tax office hehe) but I think everyone agrees that such celebrities if they do something publicly (like Drake who published his bets and most importantly where he did them) then they do it for money. And now, after this news, their cooperation is officially recognized, and it probably doesn’t really matter when it started - then or now.
Ofc, no one will know unless drake's management or stake announce it. But after that insta post and this announcement then its good to assume that it just a public stunt or similar, we could be wrong, but anyway.

Having drake as an influencer for a gambling platform seems a good choice and grats to stake.
3030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 10, 2022, 11:52:02 PM
If these exchanges refused, sanctions could be to terminate their permit to operate on such country say US, or UK and its users, but I don't think it will affect so much on crypto price not only on bitcoin.

At that time of threat of sanctions, exchanges will do what it needs to do, so since the community will be affected, it will ask its users what's their opinion about the issue and take necesaary steps later.
3031  Other / Meta / Re: Russia going offline? on: March 10, 2022, 11:10:54 PM
There's no solution for that from the outside if the decision comes from them, their leaders, only the russian people can do about it, with protests and make putin go down as they are the most affected.

And how is it possible? VPN can do something about it unless people cant connect the internet there.
3032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: metemask help on: March 10, 2022, 05:41:37 AM
Yes, it's possible, since some of the erc20 related-tokens shift to bsc-related token now.

Go to Settings > Networks > Add Network

Then fill the form with information below
Code:
Network Name: Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

More information can be seen and the link below[1]  from binance itself.

Create a large number of accounts in order to receive the signing up bonus and transfer it to your wallet, for example.
Fortunately, signup bonus mostly in any gambling platform cannot be transferred now, even also the deposit bonus without using or betting it first and any other terms and rules to follow. Good thing it was removed as crypto gambling industry grows and learned from other gambling website mistakes.
3034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Update on my hardware store which accepts Bitcoin on: March 09, 2022, 11:14:01 PM
Such kind of statement tells you that there are lots of people still doesn't know what is bitcoin.
Anyone who says bitcoin is a scam is mostly oldies, or victims of fake news, just tell them paypal accepts bitcoin you know, so paypal is scam also?. And that 1 cent, lmao, ldk if its a joke or sarcasm, or just pure stupidity.
3035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inflation is here Why is not Bitcoin Saving Us? on: March 08, 2022, 11:59:21 PM
Well, as what you and others are expecting, it's the opposite, bitcoin still affected of the current world market especially in dollar and oil,  even though it is said to be inflation-proof. Although having bitcoin in long term will show how its said as against the inflation.
3036  Other / Meta / Re: Why was self-moderated topic feature disabled? on: March 06, 2022, 01:14:20 PM
Because it is disabled in meta

The excluded sections are Meta (except for this topic), Scam Accusations, Important Announcements, and Auctions. Tagged scammers can't use this feature. You don't have to participate in self-moderated topics if you're worried about manipulation by the OP.

So it's the nearest explanation why the self moderation feature is disabled or disappeared when the thread move here in meta.
3037  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic effects after Russia blocks Facebook, Twitter, etc.! on: March 05, 2022, 08:11:44 PM
I cannot help but think about what you said with the people just working there but from different countries. They need to contact their families for updates about this war and political issues but now they can't. They will be forced to subscribe for a VPN which will add to their monthly spending while they are there to save money for their relatives and remit more.
They can use any alternatives such as telegram and signal for encrypted messages and as long that the internet is up and can be used in Russia.

the main purpose of the sanctions is to force the Russian people to cancel their support for Putin. all the restrictions so far have been aimed at them.
Many of them did protest coz they are the most affected, but reported that their government "arrests" anyone who participates this kind of activity so they are really in difficult times now risking their lives in the hands of their government.
3038  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 05, 2022, 07:53:49 PM
i am in need for such developer that create such, but does it run like the normal non smart contract dice games? are there any examples ?
I didn't see any examples yet but having such kind of system for gambling will be a fully dependent to the token/coin as means of payment which will give a disadvantage to a pro bitcoin or other major cryptocurrency used in gambling deposits.
No matter what blockchain it uses, playing there will always be costly in the long run IMO.
3039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and her sisters: Why do most governments hate her? on: March 05, 2022, 06:40:53 PM
if the government has its own coin , they will control everything when the price goes up and when the price goes down and of course the people will always experience material / financial losses , and only benefit the government . I think it's enough that the government regulates taxes, not crypto too
If that so, no one will gonna try to trade on that coin, it will be pushed down and become shit coin later on. Government-related coin should always be backed/pegged digitally of its local currency or CBDC nothing else coz what I said will happen.

I don't think the government hate crypto or btc per say, they just don't like the simple fact that this particular technology is out their control, government is all about control and anything outside that jurisdiction is not acceptable to them
That's why they hate it coz its already widely used a currency, millions or billions of USD transfers done everyday yet they can't do something to control it or to monitor it and make profit/tax of it.
3040  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 05, 2022, 06:23:08 PM
It's best to consider sanctions that screw Putin and cause minimal damage to the Russian public.
Unfortunately, only putin being sanctioned don't matter at all, it always be "Russia" it's government and unfortunately, its people. Normal citizens struggle the most because the war they didn't want, (obviously they're against it, affects their daily lives. But ofc ukranians struggle the most but its same story with different approach.

About the boycotts because of war, I'll be neutral for this, I see no reason to boycott these companies, unless they're a government-owned, they are also victims here, nobody wants war.
