i use software on my computer, and hosting my wallet on my phone, its pretty easy Smiley

How do you store the bitcoins for your site?
3022  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.12 release on: February 02, 2016, 08:50:32 PM
Will the pruneing reduce the 60GB needed atm?

Yes, a pruned Core install takes much less space

How many GB can you save with this feature ? Also, will the pruned nodes still be considered as full nodes ? I'm pretty sure that the asnwer is no, but maybe...

With prune=550, the blocks and chainstate folder use about 2GB in total.

Wow ! That's awesome ! And what about the full node status of the Bitcoin Core wallet ? With such a pruning, I'm sure that it is no longer considered as a full node, but maybe, with some magic...

You still:

# verify all transactions
# verify all blocks
# relay transactions
# relay recent blocks (not old ones though)

the only thing you cant do with a purned node is help someone else to become a node, but thats not a requirement of a full node IMHO.
3023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin sites(no transfer fees) on: February 02, 2016, 08:45:08 PM
Looking for sites that do not charge transfer fees when you move bitcoin to their sites.

The sender pays fee with bitcoin. What you are looking for is not possible. Well, you can not pay a fee when you create a transaction, but it will most likely not get confirmed. Some services like Xapo offer "free" transactions, where they pay the fee for you. Mabye thats what you are looking for?
3024  Other / Meta / Re: rank upgrade on: February 02, 2016, 08:36:46 PM
hi i want to know if i make quality posts, more than 30 daily, will my rank invrease double.. Like each day upgradimg to a higher rank... Is there any restriction for this???
Of course I am not intedned to spam.. I just had this question in my mind...

Activity decides on what you get.
You can get a 14 day period for 14 activity points.
This means that you can not increase daily, you must wait 14 days for it to increase again.

Hope this helps.

Even if I completed the posts of next rank required posts, I wont be upgraded... I will be upgraded every 14 days, right???

Yes, no more than 14 activity points per 14 day activity period.

In a way you are helping. But in another way you are not helping. You are using 8 of all the available node connections, but not providing any more available connections for the network.

Thats not a problem for the network if you limit your node to 8 connections. It might be some time in the future though.
3026  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will the ranks be updated? on: February 02, 2016, 12:51:58 PM
There was a google spreadsheet for it with exact timestamps but I couldn't find it now.

the same I did to get those 10,000.

I agree with Robertt, whats the idea here? Collective daydreaming about being rich/wealthy/well off?

Once the road is build (no matter by whom) the traffic can flow in both directions.

Ok. Good.

But nodes with only outbound connections don't show in eg https://bitnodes.21.co/ so the actual number of active nodes is bigger than the number based on those kinds of estimates?

Yes, that site can only list nodes that accept outbound connections and are not at the limit. E.g. my node is limited to 42 connections currently. If it already holds 42, bitnodes will show the same error as if I would not accept connections at all.
3031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another possible solution for the blocksize debate. on: February 02, 2016, 11:20:53 AM
So really the whole blocksize debate is just to help the miners and not the users. Smiley

well they are the backbone, without miners there is no bitcoin, that is a fact, but merchants are important to because without them there is no adoption, but there is still bitcoin, after all there were no merchants at the beginning and bitcoin was alive, but there were miners

so you can draw your own conclusions...

Yes, there are complex dependencies between miners, users, developers, merchants and I would also add node operators now. On top of that every person can belong to any combination of these 5 groups. Bitcoin is not going to succeed if a solution only works for a few of the groups, but not for others.
3032  Economy / Services / Re: 🌟🌟🌟 VegasCasino.io 🌟🌟🌟 SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN! EARN 0.05 BTC/WEEK on: February 02, 2016, 11:15:20 AM
Im gonna do something for the 1st time and escrow this campaign myself. I will only be signing a message from an address i control so anyone can feel free to check post #2 for the signed message and verify i hold the coins. Will post the signed message when btc is recieved

Just out of curiosity, will the escrowed (not really escrow, is it?) funds be use for payments as well or do you hold them while payout is via vegascasino.io?
3033  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Core connections in, advide for n00bs like me :) on: February 02, 2016, 11:12:49 AM
As I said, I'm n00b, but I thought that if you only have outbound connections, you are only loading blocks, not sending anything??

No, its not a one way street. Its still a two way street, the question is who build it. An outbound connection is build by you, thus allowed through your firewall (because most firewalls by default let everything out, but only some things in). An inbound connection would be build by someone else, e.g. me, so the device that is directly connected to the internet (probably some sort of router modem combination) would need to know what to do with my request to build a road on port 8333. It must know which internal computer can handle this request and the internal computer must accept it as well.

Once the road is build (no matter by whom) the traffic can flow in both directions.
3034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another possible solution for the blocksize debate. on: February 02, 2016, 11:09:39 AM
Well the obviously solution would be to make him wait, but I can't see miners accepting that. Smiley
That would not make sense because the ~10 minute interval would be broken.
-snip-

No, miners would just fill the blocks with TX they created. The "efficiency" can be simulated hence the average interval would not be broken, miners would create pseudo filled blocks instead of actually filled because its impossible to distinguish between a "legit" TX and one just created to fill the block to the minimum requirement.

Sorry "personal army" was blown out of proportions but considering so many active alt's a person can have just surprises me .And all are above Jr Member +.Anyway .what's the point of generating a new receiving address when we can trace which other addresses are part of it and specifically we can view the entire wallet.Kinda kills the anonymity of the transactions.Does't it?

I will try to keep it short, because I dont want to derail the thread. Yes, you need to keep the coins separated (e.g. via core's Coin Control) and/or use mixing services (like e.g. CoinJoin). Even if you dont take that extra step they cant find all connections because there are not always connections. The longer you use one wallet the more likely it is though.

A high number of accounts is hardly a surprise to me. Just consider for what you can sell them. Make 1-14 posts per 14 days per account for a while and you have a few you can sell at (full) member or even Sr. Its not against the rules as long as you keep the posts constructive and dont start talking to yourself. I personally think I would be too confused after a few days to continue, but I know there are some account farmers out there.

On a more serious and on topic note, wallet explorer is just an automation of what e.g. Quickseller has done manually for ages to find alt accounts of scammers. My only problem is that its unclear how they filter for CoinJoin transactions, so there might be some false positives here or there.
I'm usually checking for the transactions linking addresses together aswell, not just blindly trusting walletexploer.
But I think it's a better way to post those wallet links instead a long X is connected to Y via txid_A, Y is connected to Z via txid_B,...

I know you do and yes these long chains are the kind of proof that are a pain in the arse to verify.

Since joinal and kostya.ash connect both groups, its even more.

It would be interesting to see the posting patterns over all accounts. Might be something that can be estimated with the account pricer[1].

3036  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Core connections in, advide for n00bs like me :) on: February 02, 2016, 10:51:21 AM
Yesterday I realized, that I'm actually not running Bitcoin Core as I thought. I previously thought that I'm helping bitcoin network by validationg blocks etc, but yesterday I realised, that I don't have any connections in. So if i've understood correctly there was no benefit for network at all from my node.

I noticed it from this

https://bitnodes.21.co/

So, please check that you are connected  Grin

If you are not, you have to open port 8333.

If you only have the 8 outbound connections you are helping. You can however help more if you allow inbound connections. As the message says you have to open the port 8333:

# on the machine running the node
# on the device that connects it to the internet
# if the device does NAT you have to forward the port to the local IP of the machine with the node.
3037  Other / Meta / Re: FEEDBACK on: February 02, 2016, 10:48:09 AM
Those don't accept to do it. So I guess I am stucked to trading with only these 5 persons and not enrolling any signature at all. I feel a bit bad about it, but thats it no other things I can do.
Well, should have thought before doing this .

I would be careful with untrusted ratings without reference from someone you dont know.

@kingofbitcoin I know campaigns have made exceptions in the past, maybe if you contact a few of the managers via PM you can convince someone that you changed. Other than that you can offer escrow for deals where people are hesitant to trade with you.

Whoh! Man's got a personal army over here. This is a nice way to see all the addresses in a particular wallet. Thanks for the share,I never knew one could do that.

Personal army?[1]

People keep calling me scammer because I have used to try to sell carding guides at the beginning in here.
I used to do it back then, but I have traded small amounts in here after it with Ghibly79, Mr.Relax, Zazarb, Erikalui and Vilkates all trade have gone well.

This feedback is not letting me deal with many other people. I want to clear my feedback, also I have quit using Paypal as no chances to buy/sell BTC in here with Paypal, or very small chances.
Please moderators of forum in digital goods, remove all my posts. I want to be clear. I never scammed anyone, nor I ever will.

Edit: I want to enroll in a signature campaign, but can't because of this limitation.

Mods dont remove your posts, do it yourself. Removing your posts will not remove the ratings. If you want them removed you have to talk to those that gave them to you.
