3021  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 ⭐ MegaEther.co ⭐ Lottery Game Based On The Ethereum Blockchain Platform 🚀 on: August 22, 2019, 08:48:17 PM
I left a reply in their announcement thread but I guess I'm forced to post here as well since there are so many people who have "checked" their website.

To let you guys know, MegaEther's webpage is almost 100% ripped off from Fire Lotto, blatantly copied word for word. Their whitepaper is plagiarized, their team members are fake and their website is less than two weeks old.

Inb4 someone else says he's checked MegaEther and it's "amazing", beware that it's a scam!!!

If you want to check the similarities between the two, go ahead:

I would strongly advise you to lock this thread and disassociate with this project, otherwise, you risk being -ve tagged.

They have been caught with having fake team members. More information and scam accusation topic here:

3024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 22, 2019, 06:30:23 PM
Anyway, have you seen the exhibition game between USA and Australia?

I did, except for a decent 5-6min stretch in the 3rd quarter the US had a pretty mediocre game especially on defense.

They also had a different lineup opposed to the game vs. Spain, with only Kemba and Spida returning to the starting lineup.

These two teams play again on Saturday, I'm pretty sure game will be streamed live again on twitch if anyone wants to watch it :

3025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 21, 2019, 11:53:22 PM
^ I think you've missed Derrick White in that list, they gotta have a second true point guard in there.

It's a decent roster, third-stringers at best, they just need Jimmy Butler (hope you get my reference lol).

I don't think USAB will have any problems winning this thing, can't see a team that can match their 3pt shooting, athleticism and overall roster depth.

Hmm, looking at that 2.05 odds for China to top group A, there are two other scrub teams and Poland. Should I pull the trigger?
3026  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Ok, here's a 1BTC puzzle. on: August 21, 2019, 11:30:02 PM
Looks like the puzzle was solved.

Wow damn! I thought this puzzle would never get solved, it only took 7 months though.  Grin

I had my fair share of guesses, theories and whatnot. My main lead was the genesis block and the Times article, but it turned out to be a dead end.

Anyway, I would appreciate (like everybody else) to know the answer/solution.

Oh, and congrats to whoever figured it out!!!

Scam warning

Beware of Bitroom, they are misleading potential investors by providing false information about their team.

All team members presented by Bitroom are fake, using artificially generated images.

3028  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bitroom (BMT) - fake CEO and team members! on: August 21, 2019, 09:17:08 PM
What happened: Bitroom are using artificial face images for their team.

ANN: [ANN] 🔴World's First Membership-based Cryptocurrency Exchange🔴

Flag 1: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=653

  • I have their ANN added to my "to-do list" since it dropped in mid-June but somehow it got buried, and it is today that i'm reviewing it.
  • They have a team comprised entirely of fake/generated face images, non-existent in other words. Their names and descriptions might be fake as well.
  • They have picked relatively good/almost non-detectable GANs most people might not be able to notice, except for maybe Gloria Wong.
  • It won't be a stretch to call Bitroom ponzi too, as they have unrealistic high returns of investment (look down below).

GANs:

Gloria Wong - Head of China Market
Andrew Miller - CEO
Walter Brown - CTO
Zoe Park - South Korea representative

As seen on:

Ponzi like symptoms:

Bitroom.io guarantees to participants in the Launchpad at least 200% return.

Lord, how did not I think of this, thanks a lot.  Wink (i have to put those web scraping tutorials aside for now haha)

They even have listed unverified markets which is what I'm basically after.

I don't know, how you are saying it's a scam project by the name co-relations. If you don't know anything accurate, don't spam.

Account with just one post for the past three years out here defending Russian scammers...not obvious enough.  Cheesy

Shitcoin anyone?

I had a quick look at LibraF's website, not that anyone needs to visit it to call it a scam but still..., it opens up with the usual blatant plagiarism:

Whatever your needs, there will be a freelancer to get it done: from web design, mobile app development, virtual assistants, product manufacturing, and graphic design (and a whole lot more).

The plagiarism part is not important here, obviously LibraF is a scam, what's interesting is that libraface is hosted/created by Allbestico with ticker ALLBI (another scam shitcoin tradable on Livecoin). I also happened to spot a few very obvious masternode scams listed there.

So with above said, is there any easy way you can get all tradable coins on Livecoin, like a list or something?
3032  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitCollar (BOR) - fake team and plagiarized whitepaper! on: August 19, 2019, 02:38:32 PM
Please remove my flag...

Flags can't be removed to my knowledge, you can only withdraw your support (delete opinion) which I already did.

You have to talk to people who have supported the flag and ask them to remove their support as well.

If flags have no support from DT1 or DT2 they will become inactive and won't affect threads started by you.
3033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 19, 2019, 02:13:35 PM
If I'm the Lakers I'd steer away from signing Howard. There are still some big guys out there without a contract who can match his production on the floor (which isn't that great by the way) but would have a better locker-room presence, something Lakers would need come playoff time.

As for Boogie, I don't see him coming back this season at all, this a third major injury in a very short timespan, not to mention all three of them are on the same leg (left), achilles, torn quad and now acl. This is fucking depressing...
3034  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitCollar (BOR) - fake team and plagiarized whitepaper! on: August 19, 2019, 01:40:33 PM
I also removed my -ve trust from his profile but if any of the locked threads for Bitcollar are being reopened in the near future, I will reinstate my initial feedback and it will be final.

As logfiles said, be careful for which project you decide to work for.

Ioannis Athinaiou. ACL injury. He will miss not only World Cup, but also almost all upcoming season...

Thanks, so Greece already two guards down, damn that's tough!

Even though I heard Sloukas will be re-evaluated this upcoming week and might be available to join the team for the later stages.
3036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 18, 2019, 09:27:46 PM
Good game tonight, unfortunately Greece lost.

They shouldn't have lost though. Had a pretty comfy lead for the most part, played decent defense, as you pointed out earlier, maybe a little bit too heavy-depended on the 3pt shot. After the 3rd quarter, Greece had more 3pt attempts than 2pt attempts.  Shocked
I also felt like your coach had to take a timeout earlier, that 9/11-0 run was too much. By the way, who was the guy with that nasty-looking knee injury, I couldn't catch his name?
3037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UMBRU] Expanding Decentralization | X25X | PoW | Network Launched on: August 18, 2019, 09:09:37 PM
I was unaware this was not him and have discussed with him and the reasoning was he wishes to remain private. I will remove the image, and clarify on platforms he is an unpaid community member helping.

Alright, I understand, I thought it's important to bring it up because projects coming with fake team members, having incorrect or misleading information as well as plagiarising content from others usually get tagged as scammers around here on bitcointalk. If you want to stay anonymous that's perfectly fine with me, no need to use fake names or pictures though.  Wink
3038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UMBRU] Expanding Decentralization | X25X | PoW | Network Launched on: August 18, 2019, 02:37:34 PM
Regarding the two team members Ryan Lorz and Bryan Evans specified on your website. Are these real people or just some random pictures/names off the internet because I have a really hard time verifying their identities?
For instance, the image Bryan Evans appears to be of a cooking chef called Eddie:

Scam Warning

To everyone taking part in their bounty, you may want to reconsider further promoting this project. Bitcollar have a bunch of fake team members and their whitepaper is plagiarized to the letter from Zeux. More information and scam accusations thread here:
