Interesting! I didn't know eBay was including tax now for international transactions

Yeah this just gets better and better.
Ebay time is over, we need innovative solutions where the platform should not be as invasive as it is today. That is where I see Bitbay market taking the lead. Ten years ago Ebay was an excellent platform to manage auctions and direct sales but today I no longer stand to its conditions.
The user should be able to decide the deal not the other way round.

Unauthorized Use of BitBay’s Name and Reputation

The BitBay development team has discovered the unauthorized use of the BitBay.Market website’s theme, proprietary information, and branded material in an attempt to mislead people seeking information concerning its Smart Contract Client and Digital Currency asset.

The misuse has been attributed to a company called Global Holding.  We want the Crypto community to know this company is not affiliated with BitBay in any way, and we suspect their intentions are not in line with BitBay’s purposes and values.

Nobody likes such a bad advertising but this could turn out has a good sign that this project is on the right path to achieve something nice. Maybe a pop-up could be placed on the main bitbay.market site so that there's a clear announcement that their company is in no way affiliate with this project.
3023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 19, 2017, 11:00:56 AM
No player is really worth that money anyway, that's ridiculous!
Anyway, Juventus did it again, no need to mention once more that's the best team playing in Serie A: they will have their chance in ECL as well IMHO.
I am going to bet on these games

Bologna - Inter Inter
Atalanta - Crotone Atalanta (maybe under 2,5 goals)
Empoli - Lazio Lazio
Atalanta and Lazio both won their respective games thus giving me a chance to have a 100% win. I covered that parlay by placing a single bet on Bologna Inter which will take place today. I can simply enjoy the match and wating for the bits

According to Bitcoin Wisdom Bitcoin values still differ significantly across exchanges even if trading seems still.
Bitstamp $1059.03  BTC-e $1036  Bitfinex $1060.8  OKCoin $1045.76 Kraken $1058,10
China volume is so tiny on BTCC and OKCoin Cool

3+ Exahashes/second!  Shocked I didn't even know what exa stood for before Bitcoin!

Funny how that wall on Kraken moved from 1000 to 1005 euro's. Is 1005 the new 1000?
If the 4 digits will hold until March 11th (ETF day) then I will believe you.

IMHO the real question after all the PBOC/China drama how many "real" coins are on those exchanges?
The timing can't be better:
1. First fake volumes (no idea how many coins they handled)
2. Fees got introduced (volume drop by 90%)
3. Withdrawal stops (sorry guys we have been faking our books but we can't fake the blockchain, we don't really have your coins)
4. Use your imagination

i get it know! PBoC wants the exchanges to pump the price! the exchanges went steaming ahead with no real bitcoins. PBoC caught them with their hands in the (empty) cookie jar. now they have 4 weeks time to actually GET THOSE coins, which means they need to buy them on exchanges. that is why we see the buying pressure all around the globe. on top of that they try to buy on their own exchanges, but of course they try to buy with a discount in their own shops...

moon ahead! /tinfoil hat off

I’m afraid you got that right. I'm not sure whether or not is the PBOC which wants the pump but that's it. If that's the case I would not be surprised to see new Mt.Goxes

Just the matter of time, all of the bitcoin still safe on the exchange site. But PBOC looks like give a permission for bitcoin to keep on the track. It won't impact the price of bitcoin. I think it will get the extend.

Bitcoins are safe on the exchange, but such moves negatively impact the sentiment about Bitcoin. If I am a Chinese crypto investor, this effectively tells me that if I want my money back immediately, I should sell my bitcoins and withdraw CNY. I might listen to that.

You clearly don't understand how bitcoin works. Exchanges are THIRD PARTIES, like banks! If you put your coins there then you don't really control them anymore. No keys control, no bitcoins!

SafeDice is currently under short maintenance period. Our apology for the inconvenience, please expect around 1 hour for us to finish the maintenance Smiley

I was about to come and ask here. thanks for the update. Was it something planned? If that's the case better to warn the players/investors in advance next time.  Wink

this week has been terrible, all the sideways movements makes bitcoin price a headache.

That's a new one. I thought it was all the ups and down that made price a headache  Tongue
I find it's the ups, downs and sideways

Something like this I think

$1042,70 on Bitfinex, 1036 on OKCoin: things change rapidly these days

Go on Bitcoin March 11th is close
3032  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTCC Suspends Bitcoin Withdrawals Until March 15! WTFFFFF on: February 16, 2017, 12:54:39 PM
No more fractional reserve for them, no more fake coins to be playing with. A bubble is a bubble and they have probably created it.

Let's run with your assertions.

Fractional reserve of bitcoins would depress the price (you have more to sell, since you are only keeping a fraction of your reserves), not inflate it.

Maybe you could walk us through the steps where fractional reserve leads to a bubble?

Here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=945881.0

So, let’s come back to BTC.

It is more than likely that exchanges have the power to decide what to do and how to use this money multiplier mechanism.
If they are savvy they’ll have a fractional-reserve of 100%, meaning that they’ll keep all the BTC deposited ready to give them to customers when they will want their BTC back.
But no one forbid them to use fractional-reserved based policies: if they use a value of 50% they’re going to double the amount of BTC they have because of what we saw before.

Therefore two things must be considered:

Since the majority of BTC transactions happen on a private account book which will be never shown on the Blockchain no one will notice (until a certain point)
whether or not an exchange is using some fractional-reserve based policies.

At present time there’s no regulation, no transparency whatsoever and in fact no exchange states this on their T&C and none of them admits if they use the money multiplier.

This is what I meant

No more fractional reserve for them, no more fake coins to be playing with. A bubble is a bubble and they have probably created it. Thing is we have a finite coin supply that they manipulated so heavily in the last years. Do you remember those millions volume stats at the end of the month?
They probably don't have money to repay their customer and colluded with PBOC to get relieved from this.

This is it IMHO, game over for BTCC
3034  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2017, 07:18:33 AM
It is so strange to see that while everybody keeps seeing green values China has to see red. Less than a month ago this would have been impossible but today the game changed and it seems we do not need china volume to go up anymore.

you guys agree that this is a super heavy burden for BitBay. I don't have the means to say if this is the most advanced but surely is one of the best out there. If this would have started today now the traction could have been much higher. But we all know that Rome wasn't built in day.
Congrats David and everyone who still keeps sticking here.

Bayern Munich vs Arsenal - Both teams to score
Real Madrid vs Napoli - Real Madrid to win

This is a very conservative parlay which has very low odds and therefore I would need to much coins to get enough profits. For this reason I'm reisking Real Madrid - Napoli with a double chance Draw or Away

Sorry to resurrect an old topic but there's no need to open a new one when we already have them. Looking back at this discussion I could comment only this: a whole world of possibilities at the heart of the hurricane. If you were there, here's the memories to go with the tingles. If you weren't, just get a load of what you missed (quote from here http://www.oocities.org/sunsetstrip/studio/6627/vhsvideos.html)

I personally missed it back then but today I'm doing my best to create the opportunities to live off Bitcoins! And I'm lovin it (you all know this corporate quote)  Wink

the only winners of this coin is the first round participants
The same for Bitcoin and the others good project in crypto, am I right? You have obviously missed that first round but that sadly happens. If you believe this is a good project than invest in it, buy some gbyte otherwise there's no need to complain
3040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 15, 2017, 07:37:04 AM

That's a valid concern and freezal got it right: the network had to start centralized and no one's showed up yet with the needed reputation and credibility.  I'm going to use every opportunity to relinquish control over 11 out of 12 witnesses in favor of reputable individuals/organizations/companies that are willing to be part of the network.  That would make the network only stronger thanks to both their involvement and the network becoming more decentralized.

You could have an election for 12 witnesses like Komodo did for their 64 notary nodes.

Why bringing politics in when there's no need for it? Human intervention shouldn't be as strong as this. I mean Bitcoin works because there's very little human intervention. There's a lot of politics outside the protocol (big blocks, small blocks, BU not BU) but that doesn't harm the continuation of the network.
I'm confused on this one  Roll Eyes
