3021  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 17, 2013, 04:19:03 AM
This is all very worrying.  It's bad enough that there are so many issues with the service.  The lack of official responses makes it worse.
It would be prudent to PM piuk if there's anything urgent. The poor guy's overworked and understaffed.

That's exactly my thoughts. It's not urgent and I know his backlog is long enough already. But still those bugs lately worry me a bit. Should I base my site's payment system on blockchain.info? Would that help piuk or should I back off for a while (meaning I'll also have to switch to some other payment processor) till bugs are becoming more rare?

Hmm.. I guess it's better to hold off until this is fixed. There' something wrong with my balances too.  Undecided

wallets shoes from big brands ***pir4tecove***.onion.to  etc

You better take those links down before I report the post. I'll give you 5 minutes from the time of this post, then I'll report it.

Report received and post removed. Honestly, he was just unbanned for spamming...

This account has been comprised. I just talked to MAC in real life and he did not post these threads.
Wow, and I was planning to lend him some btc on btcjam.. Dodged a bullet right there thanks to confirmations

Is his btcjam account compromised?

According to Ascension, nope. However, I'd be wary of lending anything until further verification is done.
3024  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 17, 2013, 03:13:13 AM
Yeap. But it just got fixed. I again see the correct balance. What was that?

I have a report from BTCQuick that says MAC's user is compromised.

I am reminded of TORWallet when I saw this service.
3028  Other / Meta / Re: The evil bump on: March 16, 2013, 04:17:59 PM
I think if the last post is a bump and they are just saying bump, the forum post shouldn't go thru. I follow a lot of topics on my watch list and sometimes I see just the same thing a wall of bumps. I think bumping should be detected and discard that post. I get it one bump is cool some people miss it, but week after week if people are just bumping and no one is interested clearly this shouldn't be happening.
1 bump per day is the allowed quota. If they bump multiple times a day, please report the post.

OP is inactive.
3030  Economy / Goods / Re: 1OZ SILVER MAPLE LEAF / CHECK BEST PRICE IN OP on: March 15, 2013, 04:44:41 PM
One way would be to have the sender sign a message with the private key of the origin address.

How many % can do this? I cannot  Cheesy

I was more like thinking: "take a random number 1-999 and PM it to me before you pay. Add that number of satoshi to your transaction to prove you sent it".

Well, it's quite easy especially if you use Electrum or Armory. There's this sign message tab if I'm not wrong in QT too. Yep, your method above should work too I guess.
3031  Economy / Goods / Re: 1OZ SILVER MAPLE LEAF / CHECK BEST PRICE IN OP on: March 15, 2013, 03:41:04 PM
I am currently working on an automanual ordering mechanism, which would enable locking-in 24/7. I am a great fan of simplicity, so I am currently thinking along these lines:

- I want to order and rpietila is not online.
- I PM him and tell how many silver coins I want and what is the current price, and where to send the coins
- I pay to his public address
* what is the best way currently in bitcoin, to send a "message" of about 10 bits, which could be used to earmark the transaction? *
- I receive the coins.
One way would be to have the sender sign a message with the private key of the origin address.

Please raise the bar for posting in Lending/Goods/Currency Exchange.

Maybe even prohibit exchange deals in Newbies.
Especially Lending. Apparently the newest wave of scammers have graduated and now looking for potential sheeple.
I'd guess that they're just 1 or two people, too.

Yes, I think that's so too. They create accounts with variable amounts of scammishness, and try to divert potential investors to 1-2 of their accounts.
3034  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 6.5 BTC with 5% interest over 60 days! on: March 15, 2013, 05:16:52 AM
Aren't you asking for loans for that Kratom leaf business couple weeks ago? Now web hosting?
3035  Economy / Lending / Re: 100.0 BTC ? How? on: March 15, 2013, 05:15:01 AM
Please don't.

+1
3036  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24H - !EARLY BID BONUS! - 50 x 1 OZ SILVER MAPLE LEAF (EU DELIVERY) on: March 15, 2013, 02:24:02 AM
The full tracking number is still in the reply above that one.
You can edit or delete your own posts, rpietila. Wink

Although not in the auctions subforum. How ashamed of unprofessional behavior I am.. Embarrassed Luckily the buyer is a company and therefore rather public, so I hope this did not cause too much damage. I am still learning...

Oh, forgot about the auctions sub-forum not allowing editing/removing posts, Grin

No worries, everybody is allowed to commit mistakes. How you fix them is what's important, and so far you're doing great Wink
I've removed the number, so no worries.

ROFL, the 1 bitcoin didn't survive until 10th March - http://blockchain.info/address/1QE1FUsBZ3PHW5KoZpdH5Gk18UhwvZj2yz
LOL. So the Amazon instance got rooted, or OP removed the coins. Not really reassuring for potential users I guess.

At this rate and amount, only scammers would borrow from you.
