3021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 07, 2020, 02:12:47 PM
Chandler Parsons got the biggest contract in the list, so probably that's worst.

This is the news pertaining to that figure.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/16679527/chandler-parsons-agrees-max-deal-memphis-grizzlies
Thanks for your input.

and his stats was very disappointing ,

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/parsoch01.html

His best times in basketball was with the Rockets, probably injuries are the main reason on the drop of stats.

Allow me to use the the reference for screenshot.

Chandler Parsons was the worse overrated NBA player in his time because he hasn't shone any impressive games after all those years nothing to be highlighted at all. nor he gives Memphis any competitive playoff match when he was there. even though when he was traded to Houston, his game was changed and didn't bring any competitive match up to the other players. He was just worse than the other players on the list.

As you can see his stats above you, his numbers are already going down and during his time with the Dallas Mavericks, he was already injured many times that made him miss a lot of games. I just don't understand why the Memphis signed him with that figure, I think Memphis are good at signing injured players, because they also did it with Conley for  $153 million in 5 years.

Report:Mike Conley agrees to max contract with Grizzlies

3022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 07, 2020, 01:01:51 PM

Unfortunately, at the moment we can't be sure that everything will get back to normal as we knew it. Maybe this new normal is something that we'll have to get used to for indefinete period of time.
The way you talk, it seems like you are already losing hope. Come on, be positive, this pandemic will be over and will just be part of the history.
Next year, the vaccine will be release as the news says, it's not only one country that assures it but different countries, who knows, it might be release this year, so that's even a good news, for the mean time, we need to live the new normal which is a temporary state.

Gambling online is definetely a good thing and I support that but I think that people also should have possibility for traditional gambling too.
Even prior to the pandemic, I am already more fun of gambling online than going to the venue because I don't live in the city and I don't like to travel a lot.
3023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 07, 2020, 12:34:24 PM
Many have already thought that this would happen sooner,

It's their only way to recover their economy and nothing more. Even in other countries, they did the same as they already started to open casinos to save their economy. They just implement a protocol to at least prevent the spread of the virus, like social distancing and sanitation, etc.

Las Vegas is known for this place, this would boost their lost economy since they stopped functioning. This is understandable and countries should start slowly opening stores or businesses that would do the same with Las Vegas. Another thing is that developed transportation should also be a thing since we will be slowly turning to new normal days, transportation should be developed and be improved.

This article tells us how much the casinos are losing in a daily basis if they don't operate

Las Vegas casino companies burning up to $14.4M a day, report finds

So based on that figure, we can estimate how much they are making on a daily basis if they operate since the article was only talking about the expenses of the casinos.
3024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 07, 2020, 12:07:27 PM
Probably this kind of complain will not happen again, from our very owned forum.
Luckyfish accepting kids

This is just some of the risk when a casino is not fully regulated, kids can gamble because it's anonymous, and with the variety of games casinos are offering, it will not be hard to find for a game that would entertain based on individual's preference.

Therefore, I agree with most of you here that anonymity will not last forever in crypto, due to the regulation as regulation makes a business transparent from their eyes for them to easily monitor when there are complains of violation, either from the casino or for the casino.

My BTC gains drops drastically from 0.0026 to 0.0015, I think someone wins a lot of money this week and the bankroll got dumped. Still waiting for the comeback LOL  Grin
Looks like it's true that it was the trend for this week, someone making the same investment in different thread are also telling that he got negative return.
Well, you are still in profit man, so that's good and let's just hope bitcoin will rise as it's having some good increase today.

What are your thoughts this week?  Grin
Whales can win but they can't win all the time, so I'll bet on your result, you'll be profitable next week.

I am hoping for that also! House always win but it's for long term basis. This week is really a disaster, I didn't expect that my profit will dump just like that because of one big jackpot.
Expect all the possibilities but it's alright to be optimistic all the time but you must be realistic as well as it's never true that casinos wins all the time, the truth is they only win most of the time, so you are still in advantage with that.

Well, congratulations for that guy but we can still profit in the long run for the losing players  Grin
The important thing thing here is we are still in profit, and we didn't lose all of our gains  Grin

Indeed, but are also aiming to gain a good amount, ending up a profit but we are not satisfied is still useless or just a waste of time IMO.
But as long as bitcoin keeps rising or will be bullish in the long run, that will make you satisfied even if you don't really make good gains from investing in a casino, that's just a bonus but a good bonus which is very significant for your success.
3027  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: July 07, 2020, 09:09:18 AM
We all know that the root of this pandemic are those Chinese people who eats exotic food.

At first, that's what I believe when it was still china who has the highest number of covid cases, but as time pass by and I read a lot of news and articles, it's already confusing me and I don't anymore believe that anyone have accurately identified the root cause of the corona virus.

They are actually accusing each other, like China accuse US and vice versa, so I'm not anymore interested on where this virus came from, what interest me now is on how and when the vaccine and the cure will be release.

What is done,, is done. Whether the virus came because Chines eat everything that is alive or because of something else, we might never know and there is no use in accusations. However, now it's important to find the way to keep pandemic under control and to enable to economies to recover.
I beleive that Chinese will have advantage in recovery compared with US and Europe, they will put their economy back on feet much faster and again be one step ahead.

We all see that as they never exceed 100,000 number of cases, and US also accused them of under reporting cases because US can't control the increase of their cases which have already  balloon to almost 3 million now. It' not really helpful at all, what they have to do is just to follow the model of the China on how they contain the virus so their economy will also recover, the problem is some countries especially the big countries are underestimating the virus so they are suffering now.
3028  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 07, 2020, 08:08:07 AM
Some people are already relying or relied on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency before the pandemic even came. People use the Cryptocurrency Industry as their job and they have not left that job because they are gaining profits from it. If we learn more and utilize our knowledge regarding this matter, we can surely do something profitable or useful about it.
You have to identify between business and jobs, because if we are talking of jobs, we are not gaining profit, we called that earning crypto or money, profits is only for investments. What others are doing are they are working online in the crypto world, of course there's a lot of opportunity here also but we can't really rely on this, and I would say they are smart if they also have a day job in real life and they are just making money in crypto as their secondary job.

Some people also are trading, and if they are consistently profitable, that's the time we can say they can rely here as day traders really needs to be fully focus to maintain the profitability they are enjoying.

For a jobless person like me, instead of doing nothing in my free time, I guess it is better for me to learn about stuffs that I have not known yet and look for things that can help me gain profit in the future.
This forum gives you a lot of information and at the same time you can also earn here if you join in bounty and signature campaign, so it's up to us on how we value our time and effort.
3029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not participate in non reputed bounty managers campaign on: July 07, 2020, 06:08:53 AM
It's good but some does not have an option as the two campaign managers you stated are not so active with handling bounty campaigns, and we know that we have thousands of bounty campaigners in the forum. Not sure the reason, maybe they are busy with other projects or they don't find a good projects to promote yet.  I think there are still good bounty managers in the forum but we really can't deny the fact that IEO and ICO are not so progressive now, thus it only create a little opportunity for a big number of campaigners, so it would not give a pleasant result.

3031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 06, 2020, 11:29:29 AM
One of the new Casino that's making a name now just launch this year and hopefully, they can last and be one of the older casinos that we enjoyed playing is, Casineos you can check them out if you haven't tried their platform https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222618.0

I have not use this site yet, thanks for sharing, but can we already consider this site a new and a successful site.
Please let us know if you have been following the site, because AFAIK, there are no new sites that are already successful here in the forum, but of course that depends on how we define the word success, if it's based on popularity then maybe it would not happen easily as it will take time.

One site which I think popular now was sportsbet.io, I have been using this site before until now and they have really improve a lot, and they already gained a lot of loyal gamblers that's why I can say they are successful, but then,  that's just based on my observation only.
3032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Odds comparison on: July 06, 2020, 10:52:34 AM
Interesting.
I don't know much about lots of the typical betting terms.
Be specific, we call it "sports betting terms", here, you can educate yourself.

https://www.thelines.com/betting/terms/

I wonder how they determine this and how reliable they are. Wish I could see the past ones and compare them with past games...

I can see that you don't really know much about sports betting, the site does get their own odds, odds are coming from the sites listed in the OP, was summarized and compared.

Quote
maybe that will help determine what site will be more successful?
I guess we should be talking more about the bettors success, not the site.
3033  Economy / Economics / Re: Privacy Coins and The Shadow Economy on: July 06, 2020, 09:19:59 AM
Governments are beginning to feel the dangers of privacy currencies, so more research is being done to develop programs to track these currencies[1].
Bitcoin was used for privacy, but over time it became difficult to use it.
Countries will impose restrictions on remittances and mining operations, and thus the prices of those currencies will decrease. The lower prices will make them worthless even if they are of high privacy.

Imagine that the price of Monero is less than 1 dollar and the price is constantly increasing.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259690.msg54725595#msg54725595

This is the risk I'm thinking of holding a privacy coin, the government are slowly entering the crypto market with their regulation and there's no way they would spare a coin that will be exempted from regulated, everything will be treated equally, so it's possible that privacy coins would become illegal in the future and we know how big the influence of the government is, and that would result to its price dumping because people are moving to other coins.

Privacy is our right, but under the government and their regulation, we can't ask that if we want to be compliant at the same time.

3035  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 06, 2020, 07:39:00 AM
many countries get negative growth in their economy , and even IMF or world bank predicted world economy will delay alot and need long time recovered. if they still have no policy to drive economy activity , many people will get negative impact. most of them will be jobless and could not fullfilled daily need. covid will make our economy growth slowly.
There's always an initiative but we will never get the same progress in the past or before the pandemic.

Now, there's already a limitation and because of that, some industries will suffer and whether we like it or not, it will result to an increase of unemployment in the world, though let's say some countries have re-open their economy but people now are very careful especially those who are weak and are afraid to get infected. I can see that this struggle will last longer, so let's not rely on what we have now but make sure to save and look for other earning opportunity as our alternative source of income.
3036  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long can the gov keep up the economic lie: downplaying the pandemic? on: July 06, 2020, 06:43:45 AM
For me that is not a lie, we just have to believe  as we are left with no choice.

Actually even if there's no cure for the virus, the economy will still live as people wants to go back working and doing their usual business.
If this new normal would take long, I think if we just follow all the protocol, I don't see we will be defeated by the virus.
This is a worldwide problem so everyone is thinking on how to solve the problem, so I don't believe that no vaccine will be discovered for the virus.

If our government is lying to us, and can't provide us the vaccine on the time frame they promise, then there's no reason to believe on the

campaign which is very popular in the past.
What made me successful as while I'm earning in bounty, I treated my earning as an investment, I didn't cash them out, I learn to hold them and sold them when they price rises, and also, from that time I learn how to trade by trading my bitcoin to altcoins and even hold some of them.

When the bull run comes, I notice I held a lot that is enough for me to be satisfied when I sell it and I did and with that I achieved some properly that I never expect at my young age I'll be able to get it.

I know crypto is not forever, so I diversified my earnings by investing in  business outside crypto and until now it's still existing and I'm enjoying the profit.

BOTTOM LINE, I started with bounty campaign and I used it as my stepping stone to achieve my dreams.
I agree with you 2 years ago bounty was very popular. Most of bounty hunters earn lot of money to join bounty campaign. But now bounty is not good most of bounty are scam or no value in market. Few bounty is good but not enough.

Well, then choose a bounty that is not a scam, you said most, so there are still bounty that are legit.
The problem is when people are always in a rush to cash out, they don't understand the development of the project so they'll dump.

Based on my experience, holding is really important and we will wait for the right time to sell it.
Crypto suffer a loss especially the altcoins but it's not a permanent thing, it will change as altcoins market will come and the market will recover.
3038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can online gambling help to kickstart the global economy? on: July 06, 2020, 02:50:04 AM
Most people would say, gambling is a destructive activity and that it only destroys lives...

Maybe some because there are more people who gambles than those who don't.
Correct, because there are millions of people who are still betting on lottery, so that reality says about the word most.

Casino is only bad if we don't have the discipline, that's why there's limitations in a casino but it's still depends on the gambler itself as casinos are profit oriented, they would want you to gamble more.

here's the reality, casinos makes money not because of a certain gamblers losing money but because of the volume of gamblers they have, so it would be very helpful if gamblers will think of gambling as an entertainment as that way government will not feel the guilt while they continue making money through taxes.

Casinos does not care about the outcome of a gambler's life, they just want you to bet and will not ask how did you produce the money, but the government did care, if they are seeing that it's destroying the lives of the people, then they might make some measures to minimize the gambling activity of the people by putting some limitations, or worst is banning gambling.

Hi , I have never invested for a project , i need to invest for a project and i have an idea to invest on this project - https://curioinvest.com/car/4
But i need your opinions about this project ?
Will it be Profitable for me ?

You should look into their ANN Thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5175820
There, you can find the necessary information that you can use to study the project, if you are convince about it then that's the time to invest on it.

Seeking for opinion here is good, but it does not mean we are correct, it's still your decision whether you invest or it or not as no one can tell if the project will be profitable or not.

Is it a Scam project ?

Their thread is still active and I've not seen any scam accusation about the project, so probably it's not, but like I said, DYOR.
3040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 05, 2020, 09:08:44 AM
ICO reputation has been threatened and most who manage ICO are is the scammers and that it's makes many investors no longer trust ICO. IEO is now a good solution because the level of fraud is very small and makes many investors comfortable or safe. the ICO heyday is over and I think it's possible will not to come back again. it's just in my opinion and correct my words if I'm wrong.

To conduct an IEO, the initial capital or the presence of an investor in the project is required. And the better the exchange, the more money is required to conduct it. Therefore, many companies conduct ICO to collect the necessary amount for conducting an IEO.

That seems to be the new trend now, the process is longer and it's like a per stage crowdfunding as they need to be successful in ICO first before they can proceed into IEO. In IEO it does not mean the project would succeed as the price might dump when listed in exchange whether from a big or small exchange, but of course for big exchange there's a better chance but it's up to the project if they are willing to gamble for that as once it failed to attract investors and price will dump at the opening of trading, most likely it will be hard for a project to recover as they don't have the confidence of the investors.
