I mention price growth cause of the fact daily BTC supply will be cut in half. Current supply is covered with current demand and the price s more less stable, in equilibrium. What happens if u would cut daily supply in half tomorrow? The price should go up. Economics 101.

Ok, so we re less then 3 months away from halving. It s going to be a very interesting period for crypto and what effects is it going to produce, it s still big time unclear.
Here are potential options:
1. nothing changes
2. the price doubles of more, current miners remain profitable and new generation of miners enters the game, the difficulty keeps rising
3. the price does not change, 90% of current miners become unprofitable, the difficulty drops big time, new generation of miners fills the gap.
4. the price drops due to false expectations, crypto slows down and eventually loses lots of people. Crypto dies.
What would you say we should expect?

Well in the past i were just trading altcoins with my bitcoins ,buying and selling till the day they offer the loan service and after a deep research its 99.9%safe to lend your bitcoins as no one can withdraw any cent before pay the loans,and to get a loan they need to put some coin into margin trade,that works like colateral,the usually interest is under 0,05% but these days with market of altcoins hot,being eth one of the involved the interest has achieve 1% and above .
i got interested in poloniex when i saw their daily volume and the lending thing. when we say 1% interest rate is that per day or what? Lending interest rate s dropping rapidly. As with everything else, good stuff get saturated fast. I expect Polo to get to the Bitfinex rates very soon. |

until today, I still play a cloudmining in hashnest . they are legit. it's just that my income is getting smaller, because it is diff bitcoin and costs increasing. and indeed cloud mining is not a good way for currently.
And what can you say about Hashocean? Looks like paying project WHAT IS YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM? A service which mines something and does not change payouts in accordance to difficulty change. HOW that can be legit? |

I think with or without Altcoin, bitcoin still okay with that. I mean if bitcoin without altcoin, i'm sure bitcoin's price will increase because all people focus on bitcoin, not altcoin.
yh i think that there are so many useless Altcoin out their but there is some who gives a good image for the cryptocurrencys and that could help bitcoin and i think adopting bitcoin will make it increase more Those useless ones die fast. exactly. altcoins are an excellent source of making more bitcoin. i am sure a lot of users in altcoin boards couldn't have half the bitcoin they are holding right now if it weren't for altcoin trading  that used to be the case few years back when altcoins where not even released, Bitcoin can sustain itself by itself since it's a great financial system, just having some people interested in it is enough.
It is true. The Ethereum has a market cap of more than $1 billion. Without that, the $1 billion can raise the bitcoin price by $60. yeah and Ethereum also has 80 million coins available already (which is 5 times more than current bitcoin supply BTW) and that ETH supply is growing by the day. anybody can do the math for its real worth after a while (hint check other altcoins with similar huge supply) True, but dont forget ETH plans to go to the PoS phase, probably this fall. At that time, supply s going to be seriously limited cause I highly doubt they would introduce more then 5% a year PoS. |

Bitcoin would reach more than $500 at the time of halving. But might get stabilized around the value of $500 which seems to be a good price.
500$ is simply not enough to power 90% of miners currently in existence since they they will be mining 50% of the current daily amount. So, the question is what would be the new equilibrium, whether the price will go up more to keep the entire industry running or the price will stay the same which will cause lots of mines being shut down and reduce difficulty for the remaining miners. |
