3041  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 15,000 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!! on: September 10, 2020, 06:57:20 AM
The problem with most of these merchants that are accepting Bitcoin is always the same. They only accept Bitcoin as a alternative payment, if you work through some kind of payment processor and in this case it looks like they are using BitPay? (or are they just using it's market price for Bitcoin)?

They are only interested in the Fiat currency and not the potential of the new alternative currency. The fact that "cancelled" transactions are refunded in Euro is a clear indication of what their main goal is with Crypto currencies.  Roll Eyes

Also, do they offer some kind of discount for Crypto payment to promote it? No...  Undecided
Been thinking for this since I heard bunch of small businesses started to accept bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as paymetns (are you sure that they are just alternative payments? Is there no any merchants who really accetps bitcoin not just to be alternative payment method but to be a stand-alone?) I mean, they have an fixed amount for their products or services, not dependent on the current value of fiat currencies.
But this will type of payment method is lethal to the business itself since bitcoin has high volatility, making the income of businesses less or higher.
3042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you lost btc at some point of the time ? What is your story on: September 10, 2020, 06:21:40 AM
I'm one of those victims of fake exchanges. This was advertised on twitter. I saw it that we can buy a coin to that exchange for only 1 satoshi each. And soon we will be able to sell it on an exchange for a way higher price, particularly with a base price of an ICO of 100 satoshis. So, I tried it, just used invested only 25,000 satoshis because I am just trying it and I am afraid of getting scam for investing huge amount of money. So I bought all of  those 25k sats, waited for days, weeks, and monhts... but then one time I saw that the balance was gone because the coin was delisted on that "fake echange". The  coin wasn't even listed on other exchanges.
I used those 25k sats to buy waves, send those waves to the exchange to be able to buy those ICO coin.
That's when I lost my small investment, but this become a lesson.

Coin name : YGold
Where I bought the coins:  waves.exchange
Exchange that they said where Ygold will be listed soon: Yobit.net
3043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 09, 2020, 03:14:19 PM
Just a feeling I have. It's all credit cards and dollars and shit.

Yeah, I'd rather spend the shit money and save my bitcoins, but I can't wait until I can use real money everywhere. I'd rather get paid in bitcoin and spend bitcoin.

There are small businesses around the world (but only few) that are accepting payments using different cryptocurrencies, most commonly bitcoin.
Honestly, I am also excited to use bitcoin for payments on daily transactions that we are doing. Just wondering if they will be accepting payments for bitcoin that is equivalent to the price of dollar, or just a fixed amount of bitcoin on selling/offering their products/services.
What do you think?  Undecided

Make sure that the transaction has been confirmed, else there isn't a reason that the BTC won't be sent.
Some of the wallets have their own delays but it should hit within 4 hours max

Should hit within 4hours max? Depending on the transaction fee you've put into and depending on the congestion in the mempool. If you got a high fee, then you'll your transaction will be more prioritized. If less, like 1sat/byte, in my personal experience, it took 4 days before completing the confirmation. That was the 2nd time I tried 1sat/byte, the first one only took less than 3 hours.
Transaction confirmation doesn't depend on what wallet you are using.

Oh i thought if the confirmation is more than 6 then the transaction is done. Thank you for your answer!
Depends on the services(wallets/exchange/etc...) that you have been sending. Some only requires 1 confirmation like those online casinos(some) and for an exchange like coinbase, 3 confirmations are enough.
Multiple confirmations sometimes are required(depends on the service company) because more confirmations, more chance that the transaction will not be reversed.
3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC sent and confirmed but not received on: September 07, 2020, 02:13:29 PM
Yes that's it. But does the system say that the payment has not yet received?
Yes that's not my address. It's the receivers address. The transaction # 2 is mine.
For YOUR hash: 559dd6b57e0cb742aceb771650031b92a75d3b41e0ee5b9c01c9ff8715707979
confirmation status is updated to 20. Wait a little more, it will be confirmed later on.
This transaction is not yet fully confirmed.

It seems the receiver is trying to lie with you or using any old version of wallet which can't anymore get updated till date. To prove you have sent the tx, you can sign a message from the sending address. What wallet have you used for sending the tx? If it's not any custodial wallet, you can sign message.
NO. The transaction is not done yet dude. You can check the transaction ID if you have time.

3052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No hype is good on: September 07, 2020, 12:25:40 PM
New names because of recent popularity by Defi cause it to be abusively used by bunch of people who just wanted to take money from investors. Mosts are frauds and does not have any legitimate documents on their project.
Plagiarized whitepaper etc... The hype was good for a short period of time, but it's not good to those who invested on it late. They significantly loss. That's why it's not always good to be with the flow of hypes.

@Maus0728, I have been regularly depositing and withdrawing Bitcoin in Roobet. As far as I have seen, the fee ranges from 0.5$ to 3$ depending on the network traffic, but I have never seen such insanely high fees for withdrawal. Not sure from where you heard that.
Same as mine. Whenever I visit the withdrawal form usually it's just 0.5usd, the highest that I have ever seen was about 7 USD I guess.
And I don't think that the withdrawal fee will is directly proportion to the amount of that you are wishing to withdraw.
3055  Economy / Services / Re: FREE/PAY BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATOR on: September 05, 2020, 06:34:30 AM

or is never confirmed at all !
Aww. That's sad if that will be the case. I actually done having 1sat/byte bitcoin transaction multiple times, but this time it's been four days but still has no confirmation.
I regret paying a fee for 1sat/byte. Lesson learned, will never do it again lol. As of now my transaction's priority rank is 44424/47627.
I'm shookt on this congestion. But Ill still wait.

You literally like those ones that also offer this kind of service on other social media. Most often on Telegram which what just mentioned eaerlier above by
stomachgrowls, this invitation will end up asking for subscription fees later on/upon joining and visiting your link group.
Most of the time, this offers always shows how a daily trades have been successful for a particular day, ofcourse that's to attract people to pay for subscription fees.

Congratulations to Eureka_07! Your guess of 448,910,722 was closest to the actual which is 448,911,039, extremely close!! Enjoy your $50 Smiley
Thanks sir Hhampuz & Roobet!  So close, I thought of guessing 448,911,000 but did not do it. I could have win 3X more, but I thought it was so risky so I took the break.
Thanks again!

3059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many listed coins on exchange without volume, any reasons? on: September 04, 2020, 10:17:29 AM
It obvious that higher trading volum = more liquidity. liquidity refers to the ability of a coin to be converted into cash or other coins easily. Liquidity is important for any tradeable assets including cryptocurrencies.
Unfortunately, I have obversed that most coins listed this days on certain exchanges are without volume, that is, illiquid.
It is very clear that this situation was not common found before 2019.
What could be the reasons for this abnormalities. Your thoughts.
More trading volume means that it's much safer to invest on that coin. As well as with the volume of the exchange, the more volume the exchange has, the more attractive it is for the trader. That is why some exchanges are faking the volumes of coins on their exchange. If there is lot of volume, that most likely means that you can easily buy and sell any coins that you wanted as long as there are people who are willing to book trades on that coin on a particular pair.

It's hard to trade on low-volume coins. It's risky, so make sure that you've think of it before you proceed on engaging trades on those coins.
Those zero volume coins are sometimes considered dead because no one wants to try to invest into it.
3060  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price are decreasing? on: September 04, 2020, 08:47:54 AM
I am thinking why Bitcoin price are going down? Is Bitcoin Bull run is finished? I want to buy Bitcoin, so is it the right time to buy Bitcoin or I will wait for a while.
General reason.  Most are selling their bitcoins that is why bitcoin's price went down. But it looks like the dump selling is already done. I think it will remain on it's current price for how many days or weeks from now.
Probably the bullrun will resume weeks from now. No one can tell the exact prediction, that is why we are only speculating.
Regarding on if this is the right time to buy bitcoin, for now I would always say that this is not. I always prefer buying bitcoin for just about 7k or below.
