3041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australians Can Now Send Bitcoin Directly to Their Bank Accounts on: June 16, 2015, 09:37:01 AM
This is positive news, let's hope that this moves outside of Australia to Europe.

3043  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: UpTweet - Earn Bitcoin For Your Tweets! on: June 15, 2015, 10:04:01 PM
Good to see social media  being used, there was recently an altcoin called Viral that has a campaign structire offering different levels of campaign, their lowest I think was 3 BTC and this would grant the campaign access to the viral network this is a similar idea but I like the idea of the user deciding what they pay.
3044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Putting Scammers On Notice on: June 15, 2015, 09:34:55 PM
In short, you will be providing the community with information on scam devs, good stuff it can only help us all.
3045  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Has anyone tried bitcoin-doubler on: June 15, 2015, 10:39:11 AM
Don't bother with this, waste of time.  You may get a small bit back but give it a while and they will just run away and you will be at a loss.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTCD bury BTC? on: June 15, 2015, 09:16:38 AM
BTCD lol, will 'insert Altcoin name here' bury BTC
Bitcoin will never be buried it will always be around, you may however find another coin that offers something slightly different to bitcoin and it may become more mainstream than bitcoin, but I can't ever really see bitcoin dying off a the hand of a cheap clone.
3047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best point in time to cash out the Bitcoins? on: June 14, 2015, 11:37:31 PM
If you were going to sell, a while ago when they were up to around the 1k mark would have been the ideal time, seeing as you have held on for this long it would be a shame to sell now and regret it.  It is still early days regarding mass awareness of bitcoin, it will at some point reach more people and the effect this will have on price is purely speculation, buying bitcoin in the first place was a risk so why not hold tight and see what it brings.
3048  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCjam - References-Exchange on: June 14, 2015, 06:47:21 PM
I think this would be a good idea, but does BTCjam not already have some kind of scoring in place?  I have not used it but just had a quick look and it appears that they have a type of credit scoring in place.  Maybe a thread on here would be good to highlight those that do not payback, a type of blacklisted user thread.

3050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ HedgeCoin | KGW+DGW | MaruCoin tribute | X13 | Diff based rewards ★★★ on: June 14, 2015, 06:36:31 PM
I have been mining since the start, it states there will be an estimated 33 million coins.  With the varying rewards how many blocks will there be in total? Or is there and and date for POW  I think I missed this in the OP.

Hedgecoin has a maximum theoretical limit of approximately ~21 million coins by 2050 with a slow issuing curve. However, the real number of coins can be reduced to something close to 15million due to quick drops on the rewards.

The theoretical maximum coins is rated at 33m

I see, thanks for the info.

3054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Options to Exchange Bitcoin to Paypal? on: June 13, 2015, 10:25:10 AM
You can sell here on the forums but this can be quite risky
3055  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good ways to invest Bitcoins on: June 13, 2015, 10:22:46 AM
As others has mentioned you can always trade in alternative crypto currencies, this is a high risk option but there is profit to be made if you spend a good bit of time researching and monitoring your investment, I have seen coin values triple overnight but then also fall at the same rate so you do need to invest time as well as BTC into the altcoin market.  There are some decent exchanges that have been around for a while one of whch being Bittrex which I mainly use.
3056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PokerShibes.eu | Longest-running & Friendliest Crypto Poker Site! on: June 12, 2015, 08:14:35 PM
I have not played poker for a while and used to use a fiat site, looking now for a decent bitcoin Poker site but will have a look at your site as I have some DOGE hanging around and see what you have.
3057  Economy / Gambling / Re: Retro-style horse-racing arcade game! on: June 12, 2015, 07:34:50 PM
I remember these games in the arcades, still there in some local ones.  I see that you need to select your horse and then send your coins to the address supplied, maybe I have missed something but it would be nice and a bit quicker if you could top up your account and not have to select and then send coins each and every time.  Would be interested to see if anybody hits the big one and if you are able to pay out multiple winners.  Cool game though, brings back some memories
3058  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to boost the online sale ? on: June 12, 2015, 11:49:52 AM
As others have stated, it depends on what it is your are selling, if it is a product Ebay can be a great tool to initially grab the customer and on Ebay you can setup a store which can then link through to your own website, I have received business cards and brochures with discounts within parcels that have been delivered to me from Ebay and I have gone directly to their website instead of Ebay.

If you are offering services and you promote these services using some kind of online advert then SEO can definitely help you in making sure your advert will appear higher up in searches and appear in front of the right people, I know a lot of the online job boards use SEO to make sure that their adverts contain enough keywords and the right type of keywords so when a job seeker searches using these keywords they will come across their job.

Just recently there was a VIRAL coin that uses Twitter to promote a service for a fee, you can find more information on the forums by searching for VIRAL, not sure how successful this is but it is something that might help, I only mention this as I have been following this coin and thought the whole idea was an interesting one.
3059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Ever Take Out a Loan in Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2015, 12:22:11 PM
I haven't taken or given a loan in Bitcoin.  It is wide open to abuse as there is no real collateral that one could use and both sides be confident in the exchange, I have seen on the forum that people use their accounts as collateral which is fair enough but then what if the person is ready to leave the forum anyway and does not mind losing their account and forfeit the loan.

Lending can be a slippery slope, using payday loans as an example with the extremely high interest rate, people fall into a vicious circle of taking one loan after another just to cover the interest on the previous loan, it is sad when in a society as rich as ours that people need to take out loans just to get by.

Then on the other hand, if both parties agree on a rate and both are happy, lending can be a great service.

3060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Bitcoin mean to you (A poll) on: June 11, 2015, 11:58:42 AM
All of the above with the exception of A get rich quick hope/prayer I can't see anybody getting rich quick with Bitcoin right now unless the price sky rockets back up towards the $1k mark.

Another choice you could add to the list would be addiction Bitcoin is an addiction, the amount of time I have spent online regarding Bitcoin and altcoins is crazy, not sure it is the same for anybody else but it would be interesting to see how many people would choose addiction from a list.
