Smith is known as a big puncher so I am hoping he will win and fight Beterbiev who is also a knockout artist.

That proposal considering players to get vaccinated might give some breathing to the players and staff as they don't need to lock themselves inside the chosen venue, they can go home after the game and live normally.
I doubt that they will live normally after being vaccinated. My understanding of this vaccine is that when you got infected with COVID, you will only get mild symptoms or you don't have any symptoms at all but still you will get infected and because of that you will still have to follow the health protocols set by the government. IMO, PBA should follow what NBA is doing now. They are successful so i think PBA could do the same. |

The best test so far for the champ and this will be his greatest wall. guys, if he can beat Linares easily then, he can beat anyone after that because we can assure that he is quietly improving after winning some fight. The date of the fight will be enough for him to train some deadly secret weapon to surprise his opponent in the ring. That's what champion does, they create some new moves to counter their opponents deadly technique.
You are right here mate, this is the biggest test for Haney's career and i could say that if ever he could beat Linares he could beat anyone in this division. For me, the real threat for him is still Loma and Lopez win against the latter is a fluke (just me). About that secret weapon, you can't change fighter's style overnight so i don't think that this would happen. Adjustment on what to do during the fight if ever needed is what the trainers would yell at their fighter during the fight. |

I'm thinking that my money would go for Linares. An old man, yes, 13 years Haney's senior as a matter of fact, but I think he's still got the power in him. He's past his prime, no doubt about it, but so is Haney not yet thoroughly tested inside the ring. He's got a UD against the older and fading Yuriorkis. So I wouldn't consider it a test in his career.
This is going to be Haney's most challenging fight so far in his entire career. That's why with odds of 1/8 or at least -800 as per bet365, I think that's too high and simply not worth it. Linares' 9/2 or +450 seems more interesting to me.
If not for that liver shot that put him down for good, Linares could have won that fight against Lomachenco. The guy still pack a punch and still got some speed too and against Haney i think Jorge is a very live underdog. Yup, Haney was not so impressive against Gamboa while Linares almost beat the great Loma back then so betting for Linares is the way to go here. |

^ No way Vlasov has been considered as the underdog on this fight. I don’t see any advantage Smith JR has against him. Well, probably someone is trying to make money out of it. My Sports Analyst friend mentioned to me that Vlasov has all the advantages against smith. From combat skill and endurance. But we will see it soon. Nevertheless, the odds have to be fixed he said. But I guess it is what it is. Let see on the actual match and let us place bets and win instead.

Vlasov @3.55 is attractive enough so i think i might go for this one and might put a little on knockout or unanimous win for him defending on what is attractive to bet. I check Maxim's record, 40++ fights so I would say that he is the more experienced of the two. But Joe Smith Jr could have tougher opponents and he has one good win in his resume, against BHop, but I guess he caught BHop at the tail end of his career.

Well.. there is always a possibility. Crawford is in his prime and he will pose a very tough challenge to Pacquiao. But I remember the Thurman vs Pacquiao fight, and the same was said at that time as well. A few weeks before the match, Thurman was the overwhelming favorite, with odds ranging from 1.4-1.6. But Pacquiao won the fight despite his disadvantages (with from and age). The lesson is to never underestimate Pacquiao.
I heard the same, there were a lot of concern that Thurman is dangerous for Manny Pacquiao but they are wrong, Pacquiao even fight Thurman toe to toe and you can tell how much stamina he has because even though he was also hit by heavy punches, he still trade punches and was standing until the end of the fight, and win the fight. The most important thing is that the Pacquiao vs Thurman fight lasted for full 12 rounds, and even then Pacquiao managed to win (and that too by a considerable margin. Both Dave Moretti and Tim Cheatham had Pacquiao winning by 115-112). Before the fight a lot of people were saying that Pacquaio will not last for full 12 rounds and the only chance for him is if he knocks out Keith Thurman. But they were proved wrong. But did you guys know why Team Pacman chose Thurman over the other welterweights at that time? It's because Thurman has a long layoff because of shoulder injury and Team Pacman tried to exploit that one and they are successful but kudos to Thurman for bringing his best even though he is coming from an injury. On that fight, i'm betting for Pacman to win and in fact i'm betting early back when he was the slight underdog and i won. When this fight pushes through, he will be facing a younger and bigger opponent which is not healthy for him. Maybe i'm wrong but that is what i'm thinking. I would not be suprised if talks of a fight between Crawford will be called off and Manny will be fighting Mikey Garcia. |
