3041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about using NFT staking for token rewards? on: December 09, 2022, 11:57:46 PM
Not really a fan of staking, although I admit that I have utilized this feature once on AXS. Made some money off of it but not really that big to be happy at all. Also, after I unstaked my AXS there's not much to do. I realized that eventually everyone will stake and the value of the token will be worthless. Most especially that people are looking to increase their holdings and see that they can easily do this, I wouldn't risk holding it for too long.
3042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: December 09, 2022, 11:22:57 PM
Perhaps just for the fun of it I will listen to what an AI says. But for the most part? Nope. For all we know ChatGPT can be flooded with info that could be used against those asking for certain betting outcomes. While it may not be the case 100%, there is this possibility that it can be manipulated so nope, not going to rely my luck on some AI. I will surely spend some time with it and 'hope' to get a nice conversation, though.

This is honestly the first time I've seen Outsiders being favored over Navi, and perhaps it is very telling because of what happened in Brazil. S1mple showed how stressed he was during that tournament and it didn't help him much that his teammates are also not stepping up and doing their thing. Would have been nice if any of his teammates at least helped him carry but meh, electronic and the rest of 'em are too fazed due to the crowd. At this point you should expect them to not get distracted by the noise of the crowd but it still worked against their favor sadly.
3044  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: December 09, 2022, 01:56:40 PM
Web3 offerings from casinos is just another buzzword that they use to potentially invite in a lot of new players in their site. There isn't really any platform nowadays that aren't requiring new signups to not submit KYC because it will always be a requirement by the government. If they do not comply to this said requirement, they will have no other option but to shutdown or be prosecuted.

Perhaps if the casino operators know how to hide from the law enforcement then web3 casino may be a possibility. But if not, well, you know what happens.
3045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 08, 2022, 11:40:38 PM
This is why everyone should be discreet of their finances no matter what, be it connected to a casino or connected to whatever activity that requires money in order to complete it. I enjoy online casinos and enjoy physical ones too, just not the type that has a lot of people in it and a lot of smoke in the air. Never have I flaunt money or acted like I have the money in a physical casino, and in an online one I make sure to just deposit $20 and that's it.

Sometimes it's in the person on why they are targeted by people with bad intentions. Keeping a low profile really helps, especially if you are a gambler that rolls a huge sum every now and then.
3046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: December 08, 2022, 10:40:37 PM
This one may have always been a coincidence, but a very big one at that. Numbers appearing consistently together wherever you look may look like they are a sign from a divine being or whatever that urges you to bet on it and win lots of money. I myself have believed in this back then when trying to play the lottery. I stuck with that belief that if a number constantly appears (even in my dreams LOL), I should go ahead and bet it on the lottery. But perhaps I was just too much into winning that I made myself belief that these numbers have significance. Since then, when I stopped thinking about winning, I immediately stopped seeing numbers that seem to give something off them and stopped dreaming of numbers too! Grin
3047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 08, 2022, 04:55:56 PM
Then your info gets leaked. All telemarketers and emails you will receive just because you try to satisfy your gambling fill and added in some personal info that even your friends shouldn't know about. Perhaps this might prevent people from not having enough money to gamble and will go out and take a loan just to play, but I also see some negative thing about this proof of income thing that will surely turn sour as time progresses. You have all sorts of info leaked even if they are already stored in secured servers but what about this one?  Roll Eyes
3048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 05, 2022, 11:58:42 PM
Your fear should be your lack of knowledge and enthusiasm to gain more knowledge in crypto. These are the thinga that you should have when starting out. Gain as much knowledge as you can so once you started investing you will not have a hard time knowing the do's and the don'ts. Too many people have been advising that newbies should know X and avoid Y but not a lot are trying to encourage newbies to learn more material that can eventually help them get into a better position in terms of decision-making for their crypto journey.
3049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hold onto its tag of the largest altcoin on: December 05, 2022, 11:22:32 PM
Let's leave it at "it's the largest altcoin" part. Most of us will probably never bother with prices that far into the future. People are mostly interested with short-term pricing rather than a year or two away from where we're at right now. It might get the attention of some people at first since people are really attracted to huge numbers, but eventually they will learn that these numbers aren't always true and will start to distrust it.
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 05, 2022, 11:02:50 PM
You'll be looking at hundreds of thousands if not millions.

You have to sustain the bankroll of your platform else you'll be looking for a lot of problems along the way. You will also have to make sure that your welcome bonuses are generous enough to attract a lot of new patrons and players onto your site. Your platform must also be seamless and the UI/UX must also be top-tier for you to attract a lot of new players in the game. There's a lot of things to consider, and with it comes a lot of $ too. You can always start with a couple thousand dollars and toss a coin up in the air for luck, the question is: how long can you manage to stay afloat without having some backlogs on your payouts?
3051  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 05, 2022, 10:38:11 PM
Wouldn't it be too dangerous to do this outside anyway? There's just a lot of perils and dangers that you might encounter. Even those who are doing vlogs that are just walking outside are often targeted by a lot of criminals and ill-minded people, how much more does this one? Also, wouldn't it be against local laws to gamble in the streets as it can be a cause of trouble for people and can be seen by kids/minors? It's a unique idea, but not something that is too inviting IMO.
3052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is pay to earn considered gambling? on: December 05, 2022, 10:23:29 PM
I have been always curious about making money from games i love to play, since i was a little kid playing GTA games while there was no such live casinos and online betting i had this idea of what if there is a possibility of making money from playing.
We all know poker doesn’t require to be lucky as much as it requires you to be skilled to win, and even though we poker is still considered as gambling. I wish to know if these games such as FPS which you can put for example in a room of 10 players everyone puts 5 dollars and the winner takes the whole 50 dollars, Are considered as gambling.
And also if there’s any known and trusted website or casino that allows such games. I find them better than gambling and lucky games

That can somehow be considered as gambling. You are already playing and risking something and expecting to win more than what you put in. You put in the time and effort in exchange of competing with other people for the same pot. That's considered gambling to me. At the least you are getting something off of the effort you are exerting and that is great. I tried considering doing these back in the day but unfortunately, I don't have the personality and skills to be successful.
3053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto would you like to see more in Online Casinos? on: December 05, 2022, 07:32:55 PM
The current cryptocoins that are being offered on a lot of casinos are actually more than enough. There aren't that much crypto coins that offer much utility and value to us anyway apart from the ones that we already have in the platforms. They offer the same (or sometimes better) speed in transactions plus their value is already proven in the market. I'd rather stick to those than on some fancy new coins out there in the market.
3054  Economy / Economics / Re: Share Your Best Money Advice Based on Personal Experience on: December 05, 2022, 12:41:21 PM
The best I can give is to not think of the money you don't have and plan anything with it. Many times, I've done this unknowingly and I ended up screwing my entire budget and was left needing to take some debt from my friends. Since then, any money I am expecting to receive, I do not take into account unless I personally have full control over it. Not really something that is vital or extremely important but still something that can be helpful when you're trying to make it out financially and trying to grow from the ground up.
3055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who don't use hardware wallets: Why not? on: December 04, 2022, 11:53:36 PM
People mostly use bitcoin for short-term use that buying a specialised hardware to store whatever they have is somewhat counterintuitive. Not everyone has their sights set towards long-term, and not everyone has enough coins that a hardware wallet is required. So maybe that's why not, because not everyone is as hardcore or as serious as us here. Perhaps eventually we'll see a lot of people switching towards hardware wallets as the need becomes evident but now? Everyone is still kinda testing the waters.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 04, 2022, 11:27:41 PM
Heroic will compete in this tournament without "Stavn" Martin in the Blast World Final, the last event of the year. In October K0nfig, Astralist's reserve contracts were terminated for some reason. He will now play in the Lan game tournament for the first time since October. What do you think about this tournament, will it be useful for the Heroic team?

Stavn is an integral part of Heroic. Even though we have cadiaN literally carrying the team on some maps, stavn is a key part of it by giving his team opening kills and opening a part of the map that is locked for the taking. Whoever will be standing in for him must have to fill in big shoes. Lots of eyes will be locked on him and hopefully that replacement fits in very nicely on the said team.

Is there any reason he is not participating in Blast World? Is it just really rest?

He also did not participate in Blast World Finals last year, so I am guessing this is a regular thing for him, taking rest at this point of the year. They have performed really well this year, so I guess he deserves the rest. They still have Cadian as IGL and Awper so I guess it will not really hurt them to lose one guy for this tournament. Konfig is a good fragger too, I just hope he will fit with Heroic this tournament.

Sources say it's just rest. Stavn hasn't confirmed yet. HLTV discussions say it's just that. Well he's a great performer too so I don't think it's something negative on Stavn's part. They are doing well internally from the looks of how they play CS so perhaps it's just that the dude's burnt out and wanted some time off of CS. Understandable, since they just traveled a lot just recently.

Konfig is a good replacement in the meantime for Heroic. Hopefully they get the most out of him in the BLAST World Finals.
3057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 04, 2022, 11:03:21 PM
While generally safer, it still carries risk with it, although with that time-frame you could easily bypass any such losses along the way since you will not sell during those periods anyway. Also, if you're planning to invest long-term, your buy-in on the crypto you wanted will be averaged, so that once you decided to sell all of those you'll easily get an idea whether to sell it now for less profit or keep on holding on. Risks will always be there, though time acts as a cushion to dampen the fall IMO if the crypto you invested in turned out not to be as good as you initially expected it to be.
3058  Other / Archival / Re: online lottery games on: December 04, 2022, 10:47:13 PM
Lottery is always random at best, though there can always be some sort of "trick" to fool people into believing that the numbers are picked at random even when cheating is already happening behind the scenes. There's no real way to know which numbers will be drawn/picked on the lottery no matter how many "methods" or "tricks" your seniors are sharing. At the end of the day, it's just another game of chance and whosoever is lucky that day will win that pot no matter what. Superstitions and other black magic sorcery does not work with these, unfortunately.
3059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino on: December 04, 2022, 10:12:24 PM
There are a lot of crypto casinos out there that pay and give its players their rightful rewards. I don't see why you're having trouble finding one when in fact, if you just tried to visit the gambling section you'll see a lot of reputable gambling platforms that are always on the top of that board. Those with the most replies in their thread are often a sign that it is an active casino with real active players on a daily basis. I suggest you just go through some of them and just watch those threads, or even better create an account with them and see the action happening live.
3060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: December 04, 2022, 09:33:06 PM

So naturally are you saying winning is just a game of luck or there's every assurance to win a game?
From my point i came inclusion to be a game of probability because even those who are truly dedicated to gamble sometimes do loses bet and games but their chances of losing game is very slim since they are rooted (addicted) into it than just a common gambler on like me.

I won't say "addicted" but perhaps the knowledge that these regular gamblers have over other casual gamblers is greater considering that they are really invested in the game and really want to win every bet that they can. Compared to other gamblers, regulars often win because they know how to minimize their risks in sports betting. They know how to factor in a lot of considerations before placing that bet. Bookies may offer team 1 as the underdogs but a regular gambler will sometimes go for this team because they see something that others don't. It's not only a game of probability when it's sports betting; it's a game of knowledge. Whoever knows more in-depth things before the game starts usually wins their bet.
