BTC to $45,000 is my goal! I only have 0.44 worth of BTC but if it hits my goal then I might be able to afford a deposit for a house when I finish my final year of uni! (It has 6months to make it lol...) A man can dream! Smiley

Never have no Bitcoins.

Always leave a little in case Bitcoin becomes the global store of value, sell some percent of your holding, say 50% and wait until $90k.

It was more of a case of just being able to afford to get my own place when i finish uni. Needing 15 to 20k is kinda sucky just to start off Sad
Why not wait with getting your own place until you have enough to flatout buy it without even batting an eyelash? The opportunity cost of shorting 20k is quite high with the current Bitcoin market.

BCash is a manipulative shitcoin and DO is very shady as well. BitConnect is a ponzi too and it's still making people money... until they exit and everyone gets burnt.

tl;dr you don't know what thorough research means

P.S. There's more to life than making profit off of scams and ponzi schemes.
Totally get your point and I really appreciate your neutral critisism on this project. But I would like to point out that there was a massive problem of people using multiple accounts to abuse the airdrop in the early stage of the project. There was no other way then changing the rules to avoid this I guess.
Weren't people complaining that it's too hard to get into the signature campaign? Then how could it multi accounts be such a problem?

Nah, it was very easy to get in in the early rounds, that's also the reason why cheating was so easy that days. I think you have a lack of information about Deep Onion project, at least about the beginning. This is for sure. Maybe you should read it up first before you spread lies here.
That was a rhetorical question.

I know for fact that people were complaining and that there was a blacklist that was twice the size of the actual participants. I've been watching this from the start and thining very hard about whether or not I should join.

Was going to join when they introduce DeepSend originally, but the new rules changed everything so I'm staying out entirely because I don't like playing ponzis.
3043  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: December 06, 2017, 09:39:26 PM
I do not see anything wrong with video games. Let the child play better in DotA, than will drink alcohol and use drugs in the street.
Addiction on video games is the result of a huge amount of free time. With age, it will pass, when there will be additional things and goals.
I still have massive amounts of free time. Games just aren't really the same anymore. I quite miss playing MMOs that were catering to real hardcore nerds instead of pandering to babies.

BTC is no longer accepted on Steam 'cause of high-fees and unstable price
Who cares. It will soon get re-accepted anyways once the Lightning Network rolls out.

And even if they were, it'd make more sense to risk some multi accounts than to allow some devs to keep a massive >50% premine to themselves.

Of course, the devs as well as shills that join ponzis in hopes of quick lambos would like you to believe otherwise.

But nonetheless, the new rules make this a ponzi scheme, that's just a fact.

Will it be profitable? Sure. But it's a ponzi scheme nonetheless and you're trying to earn money off of someone who you hope will be even greedier and/or dumber than the rest of the flock.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 06, 2017, 09:20:20 PM
this collapse of eth shows that the king is definitely bitcoin. what does ''to wait for a transfer'' for two days means? i loose money every minute. its not possible to replace this on real life instead of money. imagine that you will pay your coffee and wait for two days. just a shitty kitty game app made this collapse? funny!

Because you can buy a coffee with bitcoin right? I've a news for you, steam isn't accepting bitcoin anymore because fees are too expensive and transactions don't go trough https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1464096684955433613

3047  Economy / Economics / Re: Why economists say Bitcoin a bubble on: December 06, 2017, 09:18:53 PM
Seriously, those economist need to broaden their horizon when it comes to this industry. Maybe they are reacting that way because it does not fit their preference.
They generally react that way because they don't understand what Bitcoin is about. They aren't trained to understand it, which is why they compare it to tulips and other bullshit. The Economists that I know that actually studied Mathematics as well do understand Bitcoin and other cryptos quite well and are actually fully behind them.

It's always the verbal diarrhea type of Economists that speak out against it.
This is very true on which those people aren't really familiar with bitcoin and they are really very curios regarding on its growth in a short period of years and they didn't really expect to happen that it did grow up even more on the assets and stocks that they do commonly traded off and invest off.For now they see this new thing which would really make them curios and most of them do really have negative words on it that it is a bubble or whatsoever but yet bitcoin community would really still stand strong regarding on this one.
Things have actually been changing in the last few days. JP Morgan is pro Bitcoin now and Bloomberg made the case for a $400k Bitcoin price.
3048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: December 06, 2017, 09:17:31 PM
Now I have to write something. if sonm announces something, it also comes. A new exchange is very good for the trading volume. the more volume the more people will know sonm.
sonm has once again kept the promise. that's great. I'm looking forward to more good news.
the course will know one thing the next month! up

Last chance to buy coins at this insultingly low price tbh. I've got some money in stratis, when it reaches 10$/coin next week I'm cashing out and investing it in sonm, hopefully prices will still be below 0.2$, next year at this time we'll be wondering whether or not to buy sonm at 1.5$, the year after we're asking ourselves if 5$ a coin is still a good investment
If SONM reaches $5 it'll be guaranteed to be a good investment. At least if that's a sustained sideways moving $5 and not a pump and dump. That would mean that SONM has established itself and is on the way to becoming a major tech company, which would imply a market cap in the tens if not hundreds of billions and token prices of several hundreds USD or even above $1000.

In earlier days that would be true, yes, but the blockchain was created to provide a cheaper, safer and more transparant platform to do business and transactions on. I doubt the cost of running the sonm network would be so high that the tokens would go beyond 10$. Also, using a supercomputer as a network provider would be massive overkill for a lot of companies that simply don't need that kind of power. Either way I have very high hopes for this project, 10$ a coin would still only be 4.4 billion in total cap, which is pathetic compared to other IT businesses
The cost is irrelevant due to the divisibility. If the market capitalization goes up the price of mining as measured in SONM tokens will simply go down. And the market cap will go up with an increase in adoption.

Furthermore, there's the utility aspect of the SONM token. Since token holders will actually get paid a share of the revenue of the platform, the value of the token will go up to whatever the company is currently worth. And if SONM becomes a major tech player it will be worth tens to hundreds of billions of USD, which will result in the aforementioned $100 to $1800 USD token price.

Granted that's a ten-year long journey, but it's bound to happen if SONM establishes its full vision.

You're mistaking tokens for shares, but in essence you're right. If more companies are buying the tokens to use the network, the price per token will need to go up drastically since they can't create new tokens. The ultimate value estimate can be made as soon as the first company joins the network. If they need to pay a lot to maintain part of the network, the tokens will automatically get pumped into the high tens quickly. I''m definitely willing to keep a decent amount of my bag if prices will reach 100$ in 10 years
No I'm not. SONM was originally a utility token that was going to pay dividends (on top of being used to fuel the platform's ecosystem). I don't know if this has changed due to SEC bullshit though.

Somehow aliens are trading doge coin for hundreds of BTC every day. Personally I suspect illuminati or Mongolian mafia.
I heard they're one and the same from insider sources.

$100 each token is worth harvesting, $1800 is more than enough. I thought the revenue sharing for the holders are already cancelled and they turned to burning tokens, did they? I believe I've already read this info here. I only have few of these but if the price reaches up to a hundred each, many of those who dumped their tokens are going to watch the chart crying their hearts out.
Uh, I haven't read anything about buy and burn for SONM. But that would have similar effects. I would much prefer dividends though, fucking SEC needs to mind its own business and crypto tokens should just make use of decentralized exchanges and not even bother listing on ones that suck the SEC off to stay afloat. Hopefully the future will tilt towards DEXes and dividend paying tokens.

I believe in this project, MCO can be an huge oportunity for all, the price will increase 10x in a few weeks! We are talking about a real project, not just a coin!

the monaco project is good, but the mco token has nothing to do with monaco anymore...
dont you get it???

Kris specifically said that there would be an incentive to use mco over eth and btc in a q&a a few weeks ago. So yes there is actually a huge need for the token.

Soon 500k people will be looking for these raire mco tokens to save money on purchases globally. Not even mentioning lack of tokens due to  bag holders and lockups for cards.

Cyptocurrency in every wallet will be a reality and the stars are starting to align.

The sleeping giant is about to wake up!

Type 3

3 and 4 are needed to educate 1 and 2 into a 3 or 4.
3 won't educate anyone. It's their game to manipulate public opinion with lies in order to make some pity profits.

And only a small portion of 4's actually cares about random people.
After all, why should anyone share their insight for free? Not many people are willing to help just for the sake of helping (even though it doesn't really lower profits).

There's more in life than money. You sound like the kind of person that would "invest" in outright ponzis like BitConnect for the sake of some pity profits.

Either way, that's not what I've been saying. It's not particularly difficult to accumulate 19 BTC either and you can just as quickly lose everything if you keep investing based on feelings and blind hype instead of carefully analyzing the market. It will probably take a few more years before there's a big crash in all the worthless tokens, but it's bound to happen at some point.
