3041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba INU tokens continue to rise? on: November 19, 2021, 09:39:02 PM
No.

And what is ridiculous is that this has been getting more media coverage than bitcoin recently.

SHIB has no long term future, nor does Dogecoin, no matter how you look at it. They don't have utility and the value right now is purely derived from the hype element which will likely fade away as the bull market comes to an end.
Some people is aware of the hype circling around it but its not really bad to take advantage on such condition because you could really actually make profits if you do know on how to ride with the waves and not totally opposing it but you should really be careful.

When it comes to real use case or utility then its true that i dont really see something revolutionary which you could really say
that this is driven only with hype.

So better to be wary on each actions you do make.

Yeah.

People have become accustomed to using the term "utility" as some sort of buzzword.

SHIB does not have any utility whatsoever, so I don't know why people think that just because there are some organized initiatives by the SHIB foundation that all of a sudden it has intrinsic value.
They are just blind with the hype that made SHIB more profitable and irresistible from the eyes of its supporters. Soon, they will realize that investing in any meme coin will not bring any good in the long run. It's like wasting their own money in an investment which has no bright future. If they think that SHIB will also compete with those solid cryptos, i guess they're wrong. Better invest in bitcoin and in some major altcoins, atleast they will create good value in the future.
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you guys think is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: November 19, 2021, 09:02:49 PM
No one is better because these are just hype coins, you can invest it now but don't decide to hold it long as eventually, it will become worthless. A coin that is brought by the hype that's why it's successful will not like survive, so I don't like to use the word "better" because you might experience the worst loss if you get hype and join the FOMO.
Knowing they are both meme coins, most likely they will have the same future.  But for now, since there is still a huge community supporting them, they will still be profitable and will continue to attract investors. Particularly for dogecoin, because its the first meme coin that creates much hype and Shiba Inu is only a parody of it.

Maybe investing at the moment will never be that bad but if we tend to hold them for long term, that's when i strongly disagree because they will never sustain their high value in the future because they have no real utility case that will keep people to support them.
3043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Recent Drop Below $60K Is Not Worrisome, Analyst Says on: November 19, 2021, 08:22:02 PM
Any decrease will not be a problem if the targeted investment is a long-term investment.
The decline in prices is a good opportunity to add more assets. good capital management is needed to be able to buy at lower prices.
The strategy must really be carried out and the most important thing is a strong metal.

Yes, Long term investment is always profitable, this little correction will give the market more strength to move forward. It is surely a buying opportunity for newcomers. I don't think I will ever get the chance to buy Bitcoin anytime below $50K, because maybe by the end of this year it will cross $90K and once it crosses $90K the chances of its price falling will be greatly reduced, so now is the right time to buy Bitcoin for long term investment.
There is really no need to worry for the recent drop for bitcoin because once you decide to hold bitcoin for long term, you should be prepared for whatever corrections that may happen. Even if the price drops so much, it should not matter to you because your goal is not to sell it at its low price but sell it at its peak. So never lose patience while waiting for its peak to achieve because that's part of long term hodling. And you should stick to your goal no matter what because winners never quit, and when you decide to take other direction and change decision, just make sure you will never end up in a mess.
3044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not meant 4everybody on: November 19, 2021, 07:49:11 PM
It should be understood that trading is a rather specific occupation, and it is not easy to work in this industry.
Yeah, if after trading for a long time and it is not working, it’s good to take a break and make good decision for yourself. It’s either going to be that you quit from it or you can decide to look at skills and strategies and see whether there are areas that needs to be improved for you to get better, but if that’s not working out then it is best for you to just quit, rather than continuing with the trading and keep on losing your money while you’re gaining nothing.

I have seen people who took this risk of persisting even at a time when they are losing, and to be sincere with you, that doesn’t really work, because a lot of them went really broke and they start regretting why they ever did.
If you keep doing a certain thing that is not with your own passion, you will certainly not succeed. Just like in trading, no matter how hard you do it and you even use a lot of strategies just to succeed, the fact that there is really something wrong with how you trade, you will never really gain profits. So maybe start evaluating yourself if you really have the guts to keep on losing, or you just try other things that may be easy for you and will also fit your personality. Because in trading, if you also don't have the right attitude, you will still end up a loser.
3045  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price now on: November 19, 2021, 07:26:38 AM
To you how would you manage the price of Bitcoin now will you still risk the market or patiently wait for a new break-out on either side of the trend?

Lol. Actually you can't manage the price of Bitcoin, you can manage your investment, your portfolio, although I get what you mean. In my case I am patient. I keep buying regularly no matter what the price does. I prefer the price going op, so I see that my net worth increases, but if it goes down I just think I am going to buy cheaper.
Bitcoin is very unpredictable at this moment because there is no clear picture for its price movement either to go down lower or moves up higher than the current price. But probably, i see more price dumps after today but i think it will not go down below $50k anymore. So if we think we have all the means to buy with the current price, maybe this is a good buying moment. It's either we'll grab the chance now or we'll miss another opportunity. Because at the end of this year, i know bitcoin won't settle for a price that is bearish since december will always be a bull season for bitcoin. Just keep the faith.
3046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: November 18, 2021, 11:42:54 PM
An investor should not be in a hurry and be too rash, they must have a mature mind. Winning for a trader or investor depends on how we manage our own assets, whether it is good or not. what is certain is that a trader must learn to control emotions because if not then we will always feel anxious and also not calm, especially with this ups and downs crypto market. failure as well as gain depends on our attitude, so do the best we can while we can.
It's normal to lose from trading, but what is not normal is that you often commit losses more than your gains. You should start to evaluate yourself then, if you are really meant for trading, or maybe you just need more knowledge so you can be more successful in trading. Once you are losing, i think the best attitude is to never quit and learn from all your mistakes. It's not that trading can be successful overnight, you have to keep learning for it everyday so you can say that you are ready for trading. Just be optimistic every time you make losses because its also part of trading, but learn from them so you will never end making the same mistakes again.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MEME coin rule the world? on: November 18, 2021, 06:40:46 PM
Today we need uniqueness and not another parody. In order to attract new investors and the community, these rules simply cannot be circumvented.Everything that can be created has already been created and we have to choose from this garbage, but many understand that this cannot last so long.Sooner or later, these meme tokens will come to an end.
Exactly. And that is why they are called memes because they're made out of jokes and should never be dealt seriously. Same with these existing meme coins today as they are just good when they are hyped. Without it, they won't really have real value. And whoever believes that this new meme coin can save the planet? The only crypto i think that will save us from all our struggles in finances is bitcoin. Other than that, the rest of the cryptos except for those major altcoins, should not be given importance as they will be valueless in the end.
3048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin run up is coming on: November 17, 2021, 02:24:53 PM

I don't have the balls to buy bitcoin right now.

But if you are balsy... then you now know what to do.

Isn't it always like that, we need to have a strong belief on bitcoins to be buying right now. I agree with you that inflation is a strong driver of the crypto prices right now. Saving money at the bank or in bonds is a very bad invest right now, all the purchasing power of low risk investments is going to disappear. In the end we need to decide if we want to go for cryptos, stocks or gold. For me this is a no brainer, stocks are already being bought by my retirement fund and I don't want to put all my money in stocks, as for gold is not a good investment anymore. Gold is already so expensive, its much better to go for cryptos. Crypto currencies are the gold of the 21th century.
If your mindset is more positive on crypto, then you're definitely on a right track. Do not wait for its price to skyrocket before you start buying them. Bitcoin is definitely the best investment right now and despite of its recent price correction, its value remains to be higher than any crypto or other types of investments. And with the current inflation that most of the big countries are experiencing right now, it paves the way for faster adoption of crypto and boosting its price to rise up more.
3049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying the Deep (Bitcoin). on: November 17, 2021, 08:48:15 AM
Always good to buy the dip, bought a few as well, not even close to what you bought though, and am also waiting to see if it will dip more to take another entry, (a good friend told me never buy at once, always take 3 entry) I heard there is a possibility of btc dipping to 55k before the next run, am not sure how accurate that is but I will take my chances. Congrats.
I'm glad that many of us here have been benefiting the present deep price because its really a big opportunity making a good entry at this moment. Congrats to all who did made it. Maybe we can see more deep prices for bitcoin as the market is not stable yet, so let's just wait until bitcoin falls below $50k and definitely grab the chance.

However, there's always a chance too not just for bitcoin alone but eventually for most of the major altcoins too as they can give us huge profits in times they will reach their new ATH. Diversify your portfolio as much as you can and expect multiple profits once the market becomes bullish again.
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 15, 2021, 09:48:53 PM
Vic Manuel is a very good player but for me, Arwind Satos fits better on the roster of San Miguel Beer Men than Manuel. For me it's a small nerfing of SMB in terms of their strat and teamwork. After all, we all know that Santos were just traded because he's in his 40s, on the otherhand, SMB want a strong player that is below the retirement age, and it happened to be Manuel. Let's see how they will do it.

I agree  Smiley, SMB front office can't stop age so before Arwind retires, they exploit and get the best out of him. SMB is banking player and they never mind if those will fit in the current system, the important thing is that they have the leverage if another trade happens.

As a fan of SMB, I want to see them get Greg Slaughter out of NorthPort and let him play alongside Junemar Fajardo. Some will say that this is too much but considering that these two towers are not in their peak in the next few years, this could happen.

I doubt it would happen, playing Greg and June Mar together will make the team play at a slow pace, and honestly, I think TNT will beat them easily as they are a team who are confident with their outside shooting and if they want to run, SMB would not be able to stop their offense with two big men left behind.

IMO, it's better if Ginebra will take back Greg as they were a great team with him while they struggle with C. Stand being their big man.
3051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 15, 2021, 09:21:58 PM
Doubts about Jake Paul's abilities will be cleared at last. He will finally fight a real boxer!
Unfortunately, it's hard for me to say which one will win, because I have doubts about the form of Tommy Fury. If he's okay and he's prepared well, then he should have beaten Jake Paul without a hitch.
What would you doubt about Tommy Fury? This guy could fight and definitely could win this fight.

Bookies are not fool to make Fury the favorite to win this fight and that's how fans see this fight as well.

here are the odds
Quote
Paul vs. Fury betting odds
Jake Paul: +165
Tommy Fury: -185
Draw: +1400

3052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 15, 2021, 08:43:43 PM
Of course he has to beat Butler first. I wonder what would have happened with the fight against Inoue if Casimero lost to Butler. Do you think there would be a fight with Inoue, would he have to have some elimination fights first?
At least to me Inoue seems to be determined to prove that he is above all the fighters on his division, so even if Casimero lost to Butler we could see them fighting above the ring, I have my doubts it would be soon as Inoue would prefer to fight Butler in that scenario to get an unification fight, but after that was done I think both fighters will look for a way to get above the ring together so they can give the fans the fight we have been waiting for some time.
We can only say that he is determined to prove he is the best in the division if he will accept the challenge of Casimero.

In this fight, Casimero will likely win as he has all the advantages, so Inoue has to make sure he will prepare for the fight next year so we will see a big fight, not against Donaire but it should be against Casimero who he never fought before.
3053  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: November 15, 2021, 06:27:59 PM
Being carried away by Fuds and FOMOS could easily be the reason why most investors lose their money. A proper mindset would be the best asset that we could have upon entering trading. Continuous learning is still needed because we couldn't be trading experts in just a blink of an eye. Also, you should do a series of research about a coin of your choice before investing, which will help you make firm decisions.
This is more prone for newbies as they have less knowledge and experience when it comes to trading so they easily go with the hype and its trend.  But as they go on with their day to day experiences in  trading, they will build more good analysis and realized that riding in any FUD or FOMO does not create positive outcome. Once you're in trading, your knowledge should never be limited and that is why continuous learning from consistent researches is definitely a must. Don't trade anyway if you are a close minded person.
3054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian Congressman proposes Crypto Payment for workers on: November 15, 2021, 05:41:06 PM
Cryptocurrency is increasingly getting into our everyday lives! A congressman in Brazil has recently proposed a bill to allow Brazilian citizens to choose whether to receive their payroll in cryptos or in fiat. If accepted, it will be an important step forward to total Bank independence.

Are you guys hoping for the same to happen in your country?

This is actually one of those news that I am looking forward to.

But in order for this to happen, cryptocurrencies must be categorized and recognized as legal tender before they can be given as a choice in payment for the salary of workers. In the laws of the Philippines, the law strictly mandates employers and businesses to pay its workers using the recognized legal tender in the country, which is fiat. If Congress were to implement this change, they would have to pass a law amending such section of the Labor Code and also passing a law recognizing cryptocurrencies as a form of legal tender.

While this change is very promising, this will pass through several readings and developments that the government must concur with the change. If I were in the position of these workers in Brazil, I would opt to choose 50/50 division of salary.
That's a better division i guess since Brazil has not yet adopted crypto as a legal tender. So one needs to cater with his own needs through fiat and for a good investment such as crypto. But if ever Brazil is going to accept crypto in the near future, then i would love to accept all my salaries in crypto. My plan is to make a good investment in crypto and just buy and hold a portion of bitcoin with an amount i can afford to lose. Even if i don't do much about it, the fact that i'm already expecting profits in the near future will give me more confidence and creates more interest in crypto. And maybe by that time once crypto is legal, there will also various exchanges to which i can convert some of my crypto into fiat in times emergencies arise.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 15, 2021, 12:49:11 PM
Steph Curry had an off night. It happens. I think the young guys gave him a little bit of trouble. Wiggins played well though and has shown a lot of improvement since joining the Warriors. Last year you saw it in his defense but this year you’re really seeing him get more comfortable with the ball and taking over the offense. I can’t wait to see what this team looks like when Wiseman and Thompson come back.
Just imagining it gives me the chills. It will be something new if we will see GSW making plays for Wiseman since they are not really used to it.
Steve Kerr might already have some plans written just for him when he comes back. But for now, all we see is the same play being used over and over again and it still works. What more if they could stretch it out with something new.  Roll Eyes
Wait until Klay Thompson comes back, they will be a better team because they already have the chemisty.
Their win streak is over but Warriors are still a threat, they could be a champion this season because I'm never seen them play as good as what they are showing to us in the past few seasons after Durant left.

Denver Nuggets are now on a winning spree despite MPJ being out with a back injury. 5 winning streak to be exact and they could be the wild card that no one expects especially when Murray suddenly comes back.
I guess the MPJ makes them better because when he was still playing he does not provide the numbers he used to get, so less error makes this team better. The win against Portland is huge, I can still remember when they meet in the playoffs and until now Denver still owned the Blazers.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: November 15, 2021, 11:55:29 AM
I would love to watch this fight. Lomachenko is an incredibly technical boxer and it is interesting to watch him. Despite the fact that the opponent is an obvious underdog, he is still a worthy opponent and the fight should not become too one-sided. As for betting, unfortunately the odds look too uninteresting to place a bet - 1.15, maybe during the battle it will be possible to try to guess in which round the knockout will be.

The betting odds might change when the fight is near the schedule. There was a huge difference against Lomanchenko as the favourite boxer to win against Commey.
Well, the odds tell the whole story.
Loma is just more agile and probably has more power in punching than Commey.
I honestly haven't heard about the guy Commey, but I think he's also good as a 90% KO artist, but then again I doubt the ability he has when facing a more elite fighter than those who he have defeated.

What needs to happen for these tiny (1.15) odds to change significantly? Is there any injury to Lomachenko or something like that? In this case, the fight will simply be postponed or canceled. The only thing I can imagine is a bad start for Loma and a change in live odds in favor of Commey, but this is extremely unlikely.
Yes, I don't see any wild swing in the odds as we near the fight and that odds could remain. On the contrary, maybe after the weigh-in, we might see the odds for Loma shrink.

Loma is healthy, no doubt that his shoulder injury has healed 100%. We can see a Loma back to his former when he fought Nakatani the movement and the punch output is already there.

After an impressive performance by Loma in his last fight, there's a reason why the bookies would make him a heavy favorite. People would just bet on Loma and that's the reason why bookies are just trying to balance the money since one needs to put a bigger bet in order to enjoy a decent profit, hence taking a high risk as well.
3057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 15, 2021, 11:29:57 AM
I won on the Suns, but unfortunately, I also ride on GSW, but the streak was finally ended, thanks to the great defense of the Hornets. And then Terry Rozier playing as if he was still win the Celtics, Lol. But overall, it was a good game for them. Congrats to those who bet against the GSW. Clippers winning streak also stop here with a lost against the Bulls. Chicago playing solid defense and offense the whole game. Clippers looks very tired, no ball movement, all one on one by Paul George and then missed a lot of good open three's that could have close the lead by the Bulls in the last 2-3 minutes.
Every winning streak will eventually end, if these two teams are a really good teams, they can start their win streak again.

Clippers' next game is against the Spurs, while GSW next game is against the Nets.
Since this is the 2nd road game of GSW and they are facing the nets, I think they'll lose here and might get their 2 straight losses.
No odds yet for now, but hopefully the odds for Nets are just around -3.5 to -4.5 because I'm going to take it.
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 14, 2021, 08:38:08 PM

I don't think Casimero and Donaire would fight against each other and I'm sure that the Filipino organizers wouldn't allow it. It's better to have a single representative from each country in a single match. There will be lapses if that happens. Both Casimero and Donaire are making a good name in the industry and most Filipinos support them on their journey.

The Filipino wouldn't want them fighting, but If the boxing council orders a mandatory fight then there's nothing else you can do. Nevertheless, it's a step forward for the boxer's career.

We have seen scenarios like this for the Mexican fighters. They have been fighting each other in the international ring, maybe because there were plenty of good boxers in their country.
This same scenario will inevitably happen for any nationality too.

They will not be ordered to fight each other because they are champions of the different councils.

Donaire is the current WBC world bantamweight champion while Casimerois the WBO world bantamweight champion.
If there's a mandatory fight, it should be coming from the same council, a champion to fight its top challenger.
3059  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 14, 2021, 07:08:46 PM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

When BTC grows up, it not only satisfy bitcoin investors but other investors who invested on other crypto coins would be much happier since, maximum all other coins follow the growth of bitcoin.

And yes there are high chances for Bitcoin reach another ATH more than $70k by end of this month or in the beginning weak of December 2021.
I do agree that bitcoin has still all the chances to hit new ATH before 2021 ends and $70k may not be the end point for this year. But if bitcoin suddenly faces an unexpected serious dump and see bitcoin price drops drastically, and ends up reaching only $70k as its new ATH. That is still a good price for bitcoin and for long term holders, they can gain huge profits already if they start selling. But i believe, bitcoin is still capable of reaching new heights in the year 2022 so i think there will be no big issues if we can only reach $70k for this year.
3060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: November 14, 2021, 06:30:24 PM
As for me, it isn't possible but you could always find ways to get rid of it. Doing a series of research would be an advantage and being observant and skeptical has an edge. Just keep in mind that not everything that we read on the internet about a certain coin is true so doing follow-up research is still necessary.

Crypto market is full of scams and irony is that there is no absolute method to avoid these scams. We can minimize the risk of getting scammed by doing research (very serious type), there is no other method. Even there are people who invested in projects after doing weeks of research and the project turned out to be a scam. You can read or post about the coin you want to invest in here, read what senior members say about that.
Crypto market scams will always be inevitable and so there are still no perfect ways on how to combat them, we just need to do more diligence in making researches because its the best way so we can prevent from being scam. But there are still instances that even how well you prepared for that project and even have sleepless nights from doing researches, but at the end of the day, the project just only happen to be a scam. Maybe let's just accept the fact that scamming will be here for a lifetime, and so we need extra efforts to avoid scams as much as we want to.
