3041  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a good time to get in or not on: November 23, 2020, 06:21:08 PM
At present some coins can be invested. Such as Polkadot (DOT), NEO (NEO), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and VeChain (VET). However, when a little dip will come, it can be bought. If you invest for 3 to 6 months, good profit can be expected.
With due respect to all the names of tokens and coins you mentioned, I will strongly suggest investing in the BTC markt only when the bull run is going on because altcoin market has struggled and apart from XRP no other coin has gained much value during this bull run of BTC.

this is a good time to play in futures and take BTC short, I don't believe BTC will go up to $ 20000, but let's just watch and follow the progress. I don't dare to buy now, just trade short term and take profit little by little. that's enough.  for me, I don't want to be greedy with waiting to rise too high.
You really don't believe? I mean I am pretty sure we will see the price crossing 25k before the new year but let's see and everyone have their freedom of speech and way of speculation.

too risky if you want to buy now. the price is quite high. but it's different if you want to buy altcoins like Eth, Ltc, Ripple or even polka dots. when bitcoin stops rising, there will be a flow of funds from bitcoin to altcoin. so there is still hope for altcoins to go up.
Not a bad idea but like I said above go for the market that is in the bull run because one market hardly influences the other coins and that is because of the depth in the market now unlike years back when BTC rise will make all the coins jump high.
3042  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobless for 10 years still doing great because Jobs market is a joke on: November 23, 2020, 05:38:11 PM
As long you are earning enough online I don't think you need to have regular job .
But, you must have the capability to keep that earning going for an elongated period because sometimes online earnings easy but they are temporary and unstable like you might earn $1k in a single month but remain workless for months after that.

Having regular job is a pain for everyone and many are already trapped in the thought that if  you have no job you don't have money. It's a trap that should be stop it hinders your development as a person . We are lucky that we are in the era that we have many other option to earn Rather than join a job that most people do not want to have.
Job is made for people who are satisfied with limited earnings but at the same time need some regularity in life. Youtube has been great for everyone because anyone can shoot videos and upload them and based on how much their videos are worth they will gain views and earlier it was impossible for a common man to find such a platform where they can showcase their talent without spending anything.

I myself watch a lot of magic videos so yeah great way for viewers too to watch anything they want without spending money.
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: November 22, 2020, 06:48:51 PM
The latest scam method at airdrops is "send us 0.005 eth and we will give you the airdrop, the money is for transaction fee's" is going around becoming huge. Thankfully most airdrops are telegram based with auto bots and telegram labels a project scam when enough people report it as scam so there is a bit of prevention but it takes a while and during that period they may actually get away with it.

I have checked one of them to see how much they made and they made only 110 dollars from scamming people and that gave me hope, it looks like people are finally not going into scam that much, sure that 110 dollars is sad and gone for some people and it could be a lot of money to some people but I remember millions of dollars stolen by scam projects so we are on the right track.
3044  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold mine at 14100 dammitttt on: November 22, 2020, 04:43:09 PM
I still believe that as long as you make a profit, where you sold shouldn't really matter. However I also understand the feeling of missing a profit as well, that is how the human psychology works. I remember a scene from the social network where Sean Parker talks about Victoria secret founder, he created the company so that people could buy lingerie from some catalogue instead of going to the shop, it worked and he sold it for 5 million dollars, the guy who bought it sold it for over 400 million dollars just a few years later, and the founder killed himself.

Now this dude made over 5 million dollars in profit by creating just a catalogue company and he should be happy about it, but he couldn't let down that missing profit and killed himself. People take a look at the missed profits way too much.
3045  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Biden Tax Policy help or hurt Americans? on: November 21, 2020, 09:05:16 PM
We cant not know yet. But Trump's policies have made wealthy people and companies become even wealthier. The new policies is a way Biden promising to reduce the rich-poor gap and improve the standard of those who live under condition. Though, nothing ensures that everything will be ameliorated after new policies. Just wait and see how we use the tax for national purposes.
I acquiesce because the policies made in Trump era were supposed to help big business because Trump himself is a businessman so I am happy the new policies are working towards having a more balanced economy where the poor people are relaxed via means of better policies, I was reading the article and was glad to read one sentence, that is - Free college for families that make less than $125,000 a year.

Imagine how big of a relief it would be for a below average family to have free college because education is ultimately the biggest help one can get and they are working on it. I must say, I am impressed with Biden and his policies already.
3046  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: November 20, 2020, 07:17:31 PM
It took a long time to get here but we are finally nearly there. I have been waiting for bitcoin to reach back to $20k for a long time now, I knew it would happen and I trust that it will happen with another less than $2k increase, but honestly it took too long to get here.
Agreed completely that it took longer but we are finally close to our goal or shall I say milestone because goal is "to the moon" ultimately. There were times when I was not able to sleep for almost a week when the price dropped to its absolute bottom in recent years and I was on my knees wondering if I made a mistake by holding for too long, on top the pandemic times made me feel like the end is almost approaching.

I stood strong and somehow weathered the dismal times and now I'm so glad because during those times I could have easily sold for 4-5k but I don't even feel like selling at 20k because we are on the roller coaster now for maybe at least 30k by mid next year.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: November 20, 2020, 05:08:45 PM
If the tention is about only the high transaction fee then here is actually no way because as much the coin will demandful the fee will be high. Even it's ethereum or any other.
Actually not just the fees but in general ETH is not looking promising now although it will always be relevant but I mean the use case is not as much as it was before and the DEFI bubble is certainly over or at least slowed down to such an extent that now not many projects are being made and investors have turned away already.

I believe Polkadot is the future if you ask me but still not sure how it is going to work so keeping an eye, also don't get me wrong about ETH, I myself hold a good amount of ETH but that does not mean I will only talk positive about them even when they are doing bad. The price is good but I am concerned about the future.
3048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will central banks create their own digital currencies? on: November 20, 2020, 03:29:49 PM
All of us already knows that central banks wants to create their own digital money/cryptocurrency, and it’s clear that People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has done that already. But, the next question that lies ahead is what they are going to do after creating their own digital money, are they going to allow other decentralized cryptocurrencies to stay or are they going to try to bring it down?

Earlier this week I was seeing news that Chinese government are making it tight for cryptocurrency users, especially the miners to convert their cryptocurrencies to fiat. So are other governments going to do the same thing or will they allow them to stay?
3049  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after 3rd Halving prediction on: November 19, 2020, 07:56:22 AM
I am not an expert and please correct me if I am wrong. I tried to search and found that the next halving will happen in 2024 and why are we talking about it already I do not understand. Yes the price will be bonkers by time we reach the next halving but I don't think the price changes much after halving like this time we all thought the price might rise a lot after halving but actually it didn't change much right after halving happened.

I have big expectations from the Bitcoins I hold in the coming year 2021 but that said I prepare myself for the worst and if good happens it only boost my morale and profits.
3050  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 19, 2020, 07:12:17 AM
How do we speculate if bitcoin and crypto shall prosper under the Biden administration than it does under Trump administration.

What are your views?

Nothing would change. It will still be normal unless an government official will personally deface or promote Cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin will always be Bitcoin as long as users will keep using it normally.
That is right and a change of administration does not mean changing everything at least not in a country like USA. I believe crypto is not going to be a topic of discussion in fact because they already have a legal stand towards cryptocurrencies and there is not going to be any talks about changing or altering something that is not causing problems.

The price might have been influenced a bit by the president being elected because people invest and divest into certain assets based on the election result but for sure the legality of bitcoins is not going to change much.
3051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 18, 2020, 07:24:16 PM
I don’t think there is anything such as secret when it comes to trading, it is open and clear and anyone can do it . There are no secrets you just need to have the knowledge, if you have no knowledge on how you’re going to do it, then tell me how you’re going to be successful.

Technical analysis should be something that you’re pretty good at. And secondly I don see anything wrong with copying other traders, it’s becoming a normal thing these days and people are benefiting from it. That you’re copying someone else in trading doesn’t mean you’re going to be winning all the time or lose all the time, trading will always be risky and unpredictable at most. But copy trading is still good
3052  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will PayPal be a new crypto-exchange? on: November 18, 2020, 04:20:55 PM
Since PayPal just announced that crypto trading and payment services went live in the US, do you think PayPal may turn into a big competitor to existing cryptoexchages? They can also launch a crypto-currency trading desk as well, why not.
Nah, Bitcoin on PayPal is very limited and I don’t think it’s something a lot of people would like, especially for those of us that uses Bitcoin for a lot of things including transactions on a daily basis and also investment.

When it comes to PayPal you can’t do anything except to just buy Bitcoin and hold. Your Bitcoin doesn’t leave the PayPal platform and it doesn’t leave your PayPal wallet, which means you can’t send it to other PayPal users, it just sits there and you will be speculating on prices and nothing more, till the time you want to sell it, and they will sell it for you and convert it to USD. So, a lot of us are not going to like it.
3053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 18, 2020, 09:42:01 AM
The only reason "Nigeria" is known for scamming is the fact that there was a "Nigerian prince" scam for a long time, it is a base deal that you do not have to use the same thing, the scam idea is that there is this huge and important person who has a lot of money but they need your help and if you could help them first then they could help you get a lot bigger. This doesn't require Nigerian or gold or anything else, it just requires you to believe he is an important person and if you believe that once it would be same all around the world.

You could literally have a wall street type of guy in some other nation who would require a big capital, like 50 thousand dollars, in order to post bail and leave the nation to go back to where he lives (USA New York) and they could wire millions of dollars back if they could just do that, same idea, but the roles are reversed. So it is not just Nigerian, it is the whole world.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We need more decentralized stablecoins on: November 18, 2020, 08:08:24 AM
Obviously decentralized stable currency is something not that old, it is something brand new and with DAI and similar stuff it is getting more and more famous over time. However we can't expect it to be major standard in crypto world just because we think it is good, it will take time for better projects to come along and when they do end up coming we will use them as well, we just can't have it right away.

So, I would say be patient and I am sure that more options will definitely appear, meanwhile keep using decentralized stable coins so that other people would see how successful it is and when they see how great it is, they will definitely try to mimic what they have done and create a better version with better features in it as well and not if they see people not being hyped about it.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 17, 2020, 02:10:27 PM
When you spread lies, there is really no censorship, you do not have the "right to lie if I want to" in free world, you do have the right to lie, but you also have the opportunity to face the consequences of that. Free speech is not something you enter with others, it is something you enter with government, you can say "fuck trump" or "fuck biden" and that would be free speech but that doesn't mean others will not say anything to you, they could still decide to fire you or not work with you for example.

Hence trump saying "I won the election" type of stuff while ALL PROOF from election officials and counts show that Biden has won, could be silenced very easily by putting "official results say the opposite" and that is not censorship, that is just fact checking.
3056  Economy / Economics / Re: The Difference Between Staking and Investing on: November 17, 2020, 12:44:34 PM
In the case of making a choice between these two options I think it will depend on what I am actually buying, whether it’s a stablecoin or a volatile coin. If it’s a stablecoin, staking it would be a good thing to do so that you don’t just keep it idle for nothing, especially if you have plans to just leave it their for long time, with the staking you’re going to be getting some profit rather than having the same $1 worth of coin remain same $1.

As for volatile coins, staking them wouldn’t be a good idea, since they fluctuate from one position to another, the price can go down while it’s still locked and you will lose more than you will get from rewards. It’s best to just buy and keep in your wallet where you have full control.
3057  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: November 16, 2020, 05:45:42 PM
At this point grayscale is not using bitcoin as a cash reserve but more like an investment. It shows the world that they are not afraid of buying at 16k neither, when they first bought it at 10k people were saying "of course they would, it went up 50%+ so they made a good decision to buy early" but these guys are buying even at the 3 year all time high as well, ever since early 2018 we haven't seen anything above 15k ever and right now we are at 16k and they are still buying as much as they can.

This is not just cash reserve type of situation, this is literally putting all your money into crypto and I feel like they are going to reach to a point where they will be biggest bitcoin owners in the entire world, since we don't know satoshi and no idea how much Craig Wright has, grayscale could be known biggest in the market.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 16, 2020, 05:00:46 PM
The reason why people were so quick to jump (specially project owners) was the fact that they didn't want to miss out on the bandwagon. If they could create something, ANYTHING and get involved with this hype, they could not only have their own token made or their own company made but also they would have enough money to fund it for a decade with how much funding these projects were getting which means they would be set for life if they invest carefully.

However that meant acting very quickly and when you act that quickly you end up with not providing 100% ready product and that ends up with bad results like this. I feel like if you have a decent and good project, it should take at least 6 months to a year in order to be 100% ready for public release.
3059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 15, 2020, 08:03:25 PM
Crypto world and hackers go hand in hand, there is no denying that anymore at all. Do you really thing that it is very hard to build an exchange yourself? I can buy a script, hire a developer to put it in a website, get some VPS servers to run all the things I need, pay few designers and marketing people and you have an exchange. Obviously it would take at least 10k dollars to do it but considering these exchanges make a million dollars a month it shouldn't be too high of a capital.

You know why we do not have a billion of them? Because of hacking and security issues, if I get it made, how could I know what my security guy did? Maybe developer put a backdoor? Maybe I will get hacked but don't know how strong my website is? This is why I suggest not everyone should start a project because unless you can guarantee %100 safety, you should not exist.
3060  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 14, 2020, 06:43:12 PM
This virus did the same for everywhere, messed up everything and made a lot of people to be so damn broke. It wasn’t easy, and the worst part is that the economy wasn’t helping at all, the price for foodstuffs were going up and before you know it you have spent up all your money because of food. So, it wasn’t easy at all.

As for you blaming your country’s government, well, that’s like a normal thing almost everyone did; like in my country the government didn’t lockdown our borders earlier and prevent people from going in and out, and that led to more and more cases being found and by the time they decide to lockdown it was already late and number of cases were growing.
