3041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet best for your currency store? on: November 29, 2019, 09:58:35 PM
I had a lot kinds of wallet, but I like coinbase the most. it's not safe as a hard wallet but quite easy to use. and I never experienced any lost in bitcoin yet, so far.

Coinbase is not a wallet! It's an exchange.

Coinbase is not a safe place to store your cryptocurrencies. It's a place to trade. If you aren't a trader get your money off exchanges and into a real wallet.

Here's a hint: a real wallet is not an online wallet or another exchange. It's also not an online casino or an online store.
3042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottom Has Passed, Delphi Digital Says on: November 29, 2019, 09:39:19 PM
I dont understand how it is easy for anyone to state the bottom of this market. It could be distracting or confusing for some member, seeing the parabolic price movement. The greed level has not touch the bottom of the swing.

It's very easy and the rule is to look at % correction. Whenever Bitcoin loses 50% or more in a correction it's always a very good time to buy. Thi is not a golden rule because one time it can be falling because of some hack or weakness in the system but this is why you have to read the news and watch the charts at the same time.

Even now we had a 50% correction from 13800 to 6500 and it again was a good opportunity to make some money.
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signal Premium?? on: November 28, 2019, 11:00:11 PM
It's never worth it. There are only 2 things you can expect from these signal pumpers.

They will give you some complicated TA that won't work 2/3 times but you will stay thinking that it sometimes work so maybe you'll get lucky next time but it's hard to earn if 2 out of 3 trades are losses and you also have to pay their fee.

They will use you to pump shitcoins they're planning to dump right after. They will tell you to buy and also buy and the coin will pump but they will dump first leaving you behind with a bag.
3044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A coin that solves a problem won't die on: November 28, 2019, 10:47:55 PM
What problem does dogecoin solves? Cheesy Coin is in #30 in coinmarketcap and not even looking to die, even though wikipedia describes it as a joke coin.
It solves a problem of people who lack sense of humor Cheesy

Dogecoin is a meme coin made to make fun of pumps and hype and it was expected to be worthless but the community just won't let it die. To prove a point maybne? I don't know.

99% of coins don't solve any real problems. Like casino coins. You can use any other crypto in a casino why would you choose a special coin to bet with or to buy computer games with?
3045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prices may never again reach 1000$, says analyst on: November 28, 2019, 10:31:36 PM
It will depend on Bitcoin. ETH can look weak if you look at its chart alone but it follows Bitcoin so if BTC goes to 10 thousand again ETH will pump even without the ICO boom that lead to an all time high last time.

The weakness of ETH can be measured by how much BTC will have to pump first to get it to 1000. Last time 20 thousand Bitcoin gave us 1000 USD ETH. This time such price of bitcoin can mean a 500 dollar cheaper ETH but it will still be a great achievement.
3046  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt Hits New All-Time High Volume but Analyst Pours Cold Water on Bitcoin Bull on: November 28, 2019, 10:23:22 PM
I read that Bakkt wants to introduce fiat settled futures. This would explain why.

If they are claiming over 40 million dollar volume most of it has to be fiat because they aren't reporting many bitcoin trades.

They were trying to be the first backed bitcoin futures market but failed and were faking it all the time and doing it with no backing at the same time trying to introduce the same thing CME already has. What a failure of a business they are. So much hype and so many years spent to get approved just to go back to what the competition was doing 2 years ago.
3047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Price is Not showing, Missleading news and hype on: November 28, 2019, 10:13:21 PM
If you don't believe the price shown on charts and tickers isn't the real one you are free to think of your own and follow it. Smart people have done it long ago by estimating what the price will be when only 1% of people in the world use Bitcoin.

The news is being spread by people who are trading futures. Wall street pump and dumpers. The news about Chinese president was fake and had old video from a year ago because somebody wanted to short. It was tweeted by some Chinese woman and everybody started to retweet it because this is how dumb people are. The same was with the news about Raids on Binance. I bet people who were retweeting it were shorting with 10x leverage Cheesy
3048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: successful bounty projects that still cheats on: November 28, 2019, 09:56:04 PM
Is VIDY a successful project? One look at the chart is enough to confirm it's a dying shitcoin.

For the last 5 months it was listed it only went down lower and lower. Every week is a new lower low and lower high for this coin and it doesn't matter if Bitcoin is going up or down at that moment VIDY is being dumped into oblivion. Scam coins never succeed in the long run. Soon it's going to go below 0.001 dollar. Whoever bought that got fooled.
3049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a sign of the next Bitcoin bull run? Or just another bull trap? on: November 26, 2019, 07:12:08 PM
I am just going to wait without making any speculation about the future but this has been a tough week for bitcoins and when it dipped below $6000, I was afraid it was going to go all the way to to $5000 but I see the resurgence as a bit hopeful. Maybe the next bull run might be on our hands but am a bit skeptical and see the value on the weekends.

What were you afraid of? If it goes there it's only a new opportunity to get more cheaper.

If you are afraid of because you are holding you're doing it wrong. Holding is only for those who can set it all aside and not worry. Leave worrying to the traders. Hodlers don't care and patiently wait for their moment.
3050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to the Ceo of coinbase 1 BTC can actually change your life. on: November 26, 2019, 06:50:57 PM
1 btc has already changed my life, so I believe him. We should just wait for the day when crypto change everything, including fiat market.

Good for you!

I also know it to be true. I used to be very poor and every 100 USD really counted. You can leave for 20 weeks on 100 if you know how to cook Wink

When I was getting to know Bitcoin it was worth only a few hundred and got to 20 thousand which was an enormous growth. If you bought one like me in 2017 you could make a month of rent into 2 years of rent Cheesy You could sell your cheap car, buy bitcoin and a year ago buy yourself a whole apartment. This is what changing life is all about.
3051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long term hodl ! What a joke on: November 26, 2019, 06:17:30 PM
Long term hodl is ok but you don't understand the concept OP. Long term hodl after you bought at highs is always a bad choice but long term hodl in a bear market is good. If a currency lost 80% of its ath value there's small chance that it will go lowe.

Even if it does it's going to be another 10% or so but there's high chance of a bounce to 40% of ATH or even going back to retest ATH.

You buy and hodl a shitcoin = you lose every time even in a bear market.
3052  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: November 24, 2019, 11:00:08 PM
Marriage isn't that bad if you share goals. When you're alone you work for yourself and need 2x the time to get money for a house or a car.

In marriage you will have to share these things but you get them twice as fast. Some things like houses are meant to be shared. I don't need to drive a car all day. I just need it for an hour a day maybe so I can share it and getting it faster sure helps.
3053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to Nick Szabo “Bitcoin Could Survive Nuclear War” on: November 24, 2019, 10:47:42 PM
I see a flaw in this theory. A real nuclear war will probably wipe out life on Earth. Who is going to use Bitcoin? Rats and cockroaches maybe?

Even if it's not an all out war it will probably disrupt communications and destroy internet lines. Without good internet coverage how are we going to trade? You're going to have to travel 100km to a place where there's Internet connection to trade with your neighbour?
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with a controlled mindset on: November 24, 2019, 10:09:06 PM
It is quite tough to handle the situation specially when you are in state of straight losing. It takes for about a days, weeks just for the individual to imbibe the clarity of controlling mindset whenever you gamble. In addition, sometimes it is not about learning but to an individual itself who taught and mold by culture of having a good mindset and perspective towards life.

If you can't follow your plan when you start losing you don't really have a plan or are too stupid to gamble.

Plan is there to be followed. If you know that you have to quit after hitting certain number and don't do it you should not gamble. What would you say a driver who has to go from point a to point b and then turns half way and gets lost in some woods? If he can't follow the path he should find another job.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: November 24, 2019, 09:59:28 PM
Once you are able to admit that you're addicted it usually means that you are not or you are and are fighting it. Most addicts will say they are in control which makes this thread useless because people won't say it in public and if they do you still won't know if they are addicted or not.

I'm in control but I know it because I don't gamble a lot. Sometimes i forget about it for weeks and I never lose money that I really need.
3056  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for current bloodbath on: November 23, 2019, 10:44:19 PM
We have seen a overall bloodbath of all the crypto currencies and bitcoin being no expectation, but most of the users had predicted a dump before pump which could possibly happen post halving but isn't it too early that we are witnessing this dump? What do you think has created this dump?

When China make law that calling blcockhain a scam is against law Bitcoin price jumped from $7500 to $10000. I guess people mixed blockchain with Bitcoin. Two days ago this was explained more in details, so price fell from $8000 to $7000.

Only an idiot would think that blockchain is not bitcoin. Blockchain was made for bitcoin and they will work as a pair forever. You can use blockchain for other things but its main function will always be bitcoin.

I wouldn't take China's stance for granted. 5 years ago they were ok with Bitcoin and were planning their own cryptocurrency, 4 years ago they banned exchanges, 2 years ago there were rumors about them planning to ban mining, this year they said blockchain is legit and then warned that exchanges avoiding bitcoin trading ban will be prosecuted. They are less stable than bitcoin Cheesy
3057  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: November 23, 2019, 08:35:22 PM
It's really hard to predict so far ahead. In 10 years we could have flying cars or be able to levitate using antigrav technology. Would you say 10 years ago that Musk will launch a car into space or that countries will start talking about getting rid of paper money? Probably not.

If Bitcoin rises exponentially it could reach a million dollars in 10 years. I think that it would be a great achievement if we went to 100 thousand at any point in that period even if it's only for a few days. It would also be a great achievement if the price became stable at some point like at 20 or 30 thousand but due to its nature it's more probable that it will go to a million for a day and fall down than stabilize at 20 thousand.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 23, 2019, 06:45:24 PM
I noticed that now there are a lot of fake volumes. Recently, I drew attention to the rapid growth of the  EXMR coin. So her painted volumes from a little-known exchange.

Even when volume is real the coin can be crap. Do you remember coins like LSK, GAME, some of the HDD mined coins. They had nice volume in 2017 and 2018 and now are almost worthless with 90% value loss in 2 years.

Often useless coins are overhyped at the early stage and then reality hits and nobody cares about them.
3059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 safety concerns? on: November 23, 2019, 06:37:59 PM
Suddently becoming centralized (which is impossible) is one of my biggest concerns.
Since it's impossible you have nothing to be concerned about. Cheesy

Quote
Someone acknowledging how to hack / get access to every single wallet thus security would be unexisting.

Impossible if you understand how the network works. You can't decode every single private key without enough time and computing power. It would take years to get even one.

Quote
Losing bitcoin value all sudden due to some big shark owners selling as an overall team or group.

He would first have to buy.

There are whales but they know that dumping it all and crashing the price is unprofitable because of low liquidity on exchanges.
They would be able to do it but it would cost them money.

Quote
Bitcoin becoming the second biggest coin rather than current 1st.

But who is the competitor? ETH? BCH? They aren't as good and as popular. Also less stable.

Quote
Crypto network stops working suddently and every transaction freezes.

Impossible due to decentralized nodes in every part of the world. The only way to make it stop is to cut the Internet but without Internet banks won't work too.

Quote
Miners stop producing satoshis -> no transactions -> price fluctuation -> everything dies.

But how are you going to make all miners stop mining when some of them are in the US others in China, some in Iceland and Russia. Bomb the world?
All your concerns are irrelevant.
3060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Government Could Shutdown Bitcoin? on: November 23, 2019, 06:28:38 PM
You guys should listen to Andreas Antonopoulos more often. He explained well why governments can't shutdown Bitcoin. You can't stop it at this point only the market that is made of its users and holders can stop it by losing interest and moving to something else.

Many new inventions were abandoned after some time and governments had nothing to do with their fate.
