I literally just went through this exercise this weekend - I couldn't find any pre-build VM's, so I instead just followed the guide from the MPOS website. It's actually well written, and I did get MPOS up and running, but it's not the actual pool software, it's management on top of it - and I couldn't get the python_stratum or whatever was listed in their example to work. But since I was looking for pool and not management, I took a look at Coinium - I compiled it on Windows but got some sort of error that I saw other people had, so didn't pursue it any further. I then compiled it on the Ubuntu VM I had made for MPOS, and got it running on there, but once I would connect more than 3 machines to it, it would crash. So from there moved on to p2pool - which was a bit funky to initially get going, but once I had it working (Linux again), it seemed to be relatively stable. Going through this whole exercise gives me new appreciation for people who run pools... At the end of the day, the easiest way to get one up and running is to install a clean version of Ubuntu server in a VM, perform all the updates, then get p2pool and get it running. Then run the wallet of choice and configure p2pool to use it - then point your miners at your p2pool, and you're good to go. I personally ran my wallet on my Windows machine and the pool on Linux, but you could probably easily run them both on the same machine. Also you may need to use one of the forks of p2pool (I think the one I used was from Cryptovein) in order to support more altcoins. It's also worth pointing out that by default it takes a small fee from any mined coins, but really it's a small price to pay to help keep the development moving forward. Hope that helps! Thank you for the contribute Marka! I appreciate it. I continue to search an ISO for VMware. If i fond it, not easy, i post here to share info!

Corsaro come sempre sei preziosissimo.

Hello Guys, I started with alethzero a few days ago. Mined one block but now i'm not able to Open my wallet again After restarting my Windows (7) machine. I backed up my keys, created a new wallet with a new password, copied the password in Plain Text into a txt file and it worked. But After closing the wallet and reopening the password which was definitely the right because just pasted from the txt file wasn't accepted again. Any suggestions? It's realy frustrating... Thx in advance (also posted this in the ethereum forum, looks like nobody is active there...) https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2770/cant-open-newly-created-wallet?new=1on dos shell you need to digit the password... copy & paste don't work!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR same problem here.. 36 byte GUID like... i need to digit char by char!!! Thx for your answer, but sry can you explain digit? In case of the testing wallet it was "123WorteVorbei" (stupid German random password ) How to translate it into your so-called digit? Thx you can not translate.. when i need a new password, usually, i use services like this https://www.guidgenerator.com/online-guid-generator.aspxGUID generator are like coins address generator... are unique string... if you want you can hash your password with a one-way algo like MD5 here an online service... http://www.miraclesalad.com/webtools/md5.php

Guys what was the original IPO price?
Will this coin be trading this week and is poloniex only exchange where it will be traded? I see an announcement on their web site.
Thanks
I believe it was around 50k SAT (on BTC price at IPO) or 0.30 USD I hope for some waves and trade an active market to make some $$$. Would be cool if there would some ETH Futures on OKCoin tradable with leverage Thanks, where can I find some basic specs? How many ethereum will there be, etc? https://etherchain.org/https://stats.ethdev.com/60Million Crowdsale + 5ETH per Block I think inflation should be around 10Million ETH/year over 1 year im waiting for it. i think price shouldnt be lower than 0.01 per ether.cause we bought around 0.001 per one and we put our money to 1 year investment. under this amount it would be waste of 1 year.
lol you really think will start with x10 on IPO price? I try to buy some below 10 cents what happened? the service stats.ethdev.com seem down??? it is under ddos attack or what??? thanks

I look at https://www.whattomine.com every week or so to see what to point to for (ASIC, GPU). One week, much is (very slightly) profitable. Another, like now, everything is not profitable at all. Sure, BTC was $290 now $279 - but that's not enough to make the difference. How do all the margins move so dramatically - but together? What am I missing? Thanks! New miners (GPU and ASIC) also change it. sure!!! new scrypt and sha-256 asic miner, double hashrate, with the same power consumption, so, GPU mining is kikked off... for example... take a look to this : http://zoomhash.com/collections/asics/products/110mhs-scrypt-asic-plug-and-play-1000w-a2mega-door-to-door-within-3-5-business-days110MHash scrypt, for just 1000w... until some monts ago... unthinkable!!!!
