3061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: State Senator Introduces Bill to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender in Arizona on: January 29, 2022, 12:33:38 PM
It would be bigger if Biden himself wants BTC to become legal tender in the entirety of the United States rather than just for a single or a few states like Arizona.
Of course it will, but definitely you and I know Biden isn't going to do anything of that sort, neither will any state in the United States successfully implement that, I wouldn't even want to talk about this, it's more or less just like raising the hopes of those who really do not understand that making Bitcoin a legal tender in the United States is almost not possible, at least for now. I'm pretty sure we'll get big news in favor of BTC this year, but this isn't one I'm afraid.
I am not sure BTC has that lobbying power just yet, or the machinery that would take to push something like a bill. I doubt this goes anywhere just for the fact that it has to play by the political rules and there is not enough momentum for it right now.
That's true, politicians/the government wouldn't support any proposal in the favor of Bitcoin as things stand, that decentralized factor is quite a lot for them to handle, it's more like, since they can't control Bitcoin, then they just have to regulate it like they are doing.
3062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not invested then do it now... on: January 29, 2022, 12:05:43 PM
We must remember that investing in Bitcoin carries a high risk and cannot promise instant profit.
This is a point that "get rich quick investors" must take note of, many people practically want to invest in Bitcoin 'today' and start accruing ROI 'tomorrow', such people need to understand that it doesn't work that way, and that Bitcoin is a long term project, and if you're serious about making profits from it then you must be patient and believe in the network. That's cause this sort of people are usually thrown into panic whenever there's a correction phase or a dump, and that's only cause they want their profits asap.

Having said that, altcoin investment may be a 'better' choice for people who aren't patient with Bitcoin, I take majority of altcoins to be pump and dump/shitcoins, thus if such person is willing to handle the risk of investing in pump and dump projects, then they can ride their luck with them, but mind you that the chances of making profit becomes slimmer as more often than not when many of those projects dump, they don't rise again, making Bitcoin the best choice amongst all.
3063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2022, 10:51:32 AM
If Inter are able to win their oncoming tough matches, then they can really have a huge chance for the title. They are already the most impressive team in the Serie A this season. They would like to maintain this. Since Simone Inzaghi signed for them, they have been even better than last season I think. Or it might be close too as I wouldn't like to disrespect their season with Conte. It was so great too as they pulled away from the others at some point and won the title comfortably.
I have no doubts about Inter winning the title this season, they have gone about their business very effectively this season, and thus far they have to be "everyone's" favorite for the title, I think this season is different from the last, imo, I feel they were a bit stronger last season than now, of course they had the big, strong and prolific Lukaku back then, but he's no longer in the team, same as Conte who also left the team, but that has not in anyway deterred them from doing an outstanding job this season and they are well deserving of the title I must say.
3064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2022, 10:13:27 AM
If Haaland were to move to Bayern it would be a truly spectacular transfer. Then I could easily bet on who will win next season in the Bundesliga.
If Haaland moves to Bayern Munich, it's going to be crazy to say the least, how many times will it continue to happen that way, and if it does happen in Haaland's case, then that will connote another ten years or so dominance from Bayern Munich, that's absolutely not what football fans want to see, except Bayern fans of course, but I mean, football is all about competition, that's the fun of it all, if one team continually wins the league without anyone pushing them to their limits, then it somewhat reduces the importance of the league title, and they'll also somewhat lose viewers, if Dortmund are going to sell Haaland, then let them sell him to a non-German club, that way they aren't directly weakening themselves, to strengthen a direct opposition.
However, I think other teams should strive to be as good as Bayern. Weakening Bayern would certainly not be good for football in the Bundesliga.
Other teams can't be like them when they sell their players to them, nobody wants to weaken Bayern, all football fans want is a competitive league, that's all.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 28, 2022, 08:30:25 AM
At first glance the deal does not make sense at all - Liverpool have both Mane and Jota playing on the left. Still - that might be a sign that Liverpool is ready to let Mane go in the summer.
It could be that Klopp wants to strengthen the depth of his squad, maybe bring in Daiz and not letting anyone go, cause I don't think Liverpool are ready to let Mane go just yet, and even if they want to, I don't think it's too much of a smart move letting Mane go to bring in Luiz Diaz that's not so established, except of course if Mane pushes strongly for an exit away from the club. I don't really know too much of the situation concerning Mane and Liverpool, is he pushing for an exit?
Did anybody see more of this guy? I saw him in his 2 CL games against us but wasn't that impressed - would love to hear more.
I also have not seen too much of him, I hardly watch the primeira Liga, and I've only seen him a couple of times in the UCL, it really doesn't matter too much as he'll definitely develop better and faster under Jurgen Klopp if the transfer goes through.
3066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2022, 10:24:16 PM
It is reported that Arsenal just have submitted bid for New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner about 10 m Euro . It seems like Leno thinking about leaving Arsenal might be true eventually. Either way Leno hasn't been in form for Arsenal and hasn't been in Arteta's first team ever since Ramsdale came in so better to make a move to other team and find some good playing time there.
Well, if indeed Arsenal are actually considering making this transfer happen, then it can only mean that Leno is actually leaving the team, and to be honest I think it's about time he left, he has completely fallen out of favor of the Arsenal boss, and I don't think there's any way back into the team from here going forward. I like it when players move on when they aren't getting any playing time, the more you sit on the bench, the more you lose form and your value depreciates, if you've fought for your position for a while and the manager still doesn't fancy you, I suggest you move, and I hope Leno does, and gets the playing time he deserves.
3067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Show a newbie the way on: January 27, 2022, 09:35:56 PM
Now that bear market is slowly taking over the market what can a newbie do to make money in a bear market? Staking is a bad idea in bear market I heard, even mining coins are not profitable in bear market too so what's the way forward?
From your post, it's basically obvious that you make decisions from information you get from others, and I'm pretty sure you do so without verifying such information, that is actually counterproductive to your desire of making money, it doesn't matter if it's in a bear market or a bull market, it remains pertinent to always do your own research and come to your own conclusions, only then can you take the best decisions on your coins that will generate profits for you. Remember that selecting the best coin and the best strategy is the key to making good ROI in crypto, but mind you that it does not still connote that it's going to be a get rich quick thing, you must still learn to be patient, as long as you believe in the coin.
3068  Other / Meta / Re: skarais - Merit Source Aplication on: January 27, 2022, 09:08:50 PM
I see this application getting a lot of support from both merit source and non-merit source. Hopefully theymos can consider your application sooner or later.
Of course, it's getting the support it deserves, the forum usually offers their support for such applications when the user is capable and well deserving of the position, just as is the case here. Hopefully Theymos will respond, it may not come too soon as we already know, but it's never too late, there are a lot of good applications in the pipeline waiting for response from the 'boss', and I believe they will all be considered, I wish Skarais all the best, so he can support good forum users from his local board and other sections of the forum as well.
3069  Other / Meta / Re: What outsiders know or say about Bitcointalk. on: January 27, 2022, 08:27:30 PM
makes me sometimes wonder if an IP that's never been used to access the forum can actually commit evil on its first day of access the forum.
See this quote from Theymos, I think it'll better clarify things/you.
Quote
New users can now immediately start posting unless they are using suspicious IPs. Suspicious IPs are ones that have been banned previously, or are known proxies, or are near many banned/proxy IPs. If you register using a suspicious IP, you can use most forum features (watchlist, etc.), but you can't post or send PMs until you pay a small fee. In almost all cases, the fee is less than $1. People proxybanned in this way can also be whitelisted by the usual people who can do whitelisting. These IP bans apply only to registration: you can no longer get caught by random IP bans if you're using an established account.
Thus if the IP address of the people you introduced isn't somewhat suspicious, then they definitely wouldn't get the "evil fees" message, if they do get it, then the forum has prolly marked/banned their IP's (as being suspicious), or that of those (IP's) close to them (that's what Theymos meant by "known proxies" above), just explain this to them and since they will probably be newcomers, you can also assist them to pay the fee, cause it's a really small amount, and if they are still reluctant, then their bad.
3070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 26, 2022, 01:55:50 PM
The difference point between the four to eight ranks was so narrow. Predicting from now on is very difficult, but I think Man United will fight for this place. The reason is UCL, they would be embarrassed if they couldn't get to UCL next season. Although many other teams are struggling I think Man United are the favourites. Rangnick is starting to change the philosophy of Man United players it seems they are performing better. Although there will still be a lot of games I'm sure they'll be there.
I beg to disagree that Manchester United are performing any better since the appointment of Ragnick, they are still struggling and have dropped points in games that they really should be winning very comfortably; though that's not to say they wouldn't compete for the fourth position, of course they will, but I'll not be tipping them to get it ahead of the others. Arsenal and Spurs also look pretty strong for that position, I feel it's between those three teams, West Ham aren't doing any badly, but I don't think they will be able to get in there ahead of these teams, it's really tight, and I'm sure it'll be that way till the end of the season.
3071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull is back? on: January 26, 2022, 01:21:12 PM
I've seen a lot of alts on this day making green wherein seems the bearish is getting weaker. Perhaps if market keep showing the same thing for couple of days bull will gonna take over the market again in my personal opinion, because it's been how many weeks it's red and suddenly most of my favourites alts turn into green and gave me profits this day using scalping strategy.. What do you think guys is this the start of bullrun or just a sign that soon will be another season?
Of course, if you invested in good coins and projects, it's only normal that they'll rise back up after a dump, the thing is in my opinion I do not think that we're completely out of the bearish phase just yet, those coins could still slide back into a dump, so at this time in the market, it's very essential to do your own research before buying or selling anything. I know many people would not even think of selling right now as coins are going down, but if you're holding on to a shitcoin, it prolly may not be a bad idea selling, cause it could dump and not rise again. But if you believe in the project you're holding, then just wait and watch it rise back up again.

3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 25, 2022, 01:35:45 PM
I really admire Liverpool recently. Because they are still performing superbly even in the absence of their crucial players like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
That's a very important point to highlight, I believe quite a lot of people expected Liverpool to struggle in January when their key players left for the African Cup of Nations, but I'm afraid that has not been the case, they have had an excellent January thus far, and with the way they are playing, I expect it to continue. I have to give credit to Klopp for motivating the players he currently has at his disposal to do all their very best and get the results, it just shows that the club isn't just about a few players, but that it's a complete team where everyone works together for the good of the club.
Looking at the current Premier League standings, it is difficult for me to predict who will be in the top 4 at the end of the season.
I think it's much better to say it's difficult to predict the team that will finish in 4th position, cause it's more or less pretty certain that 1st to 3rd is going to be occupied by City, Liverpool and Chelsea, in no particular order yet, cause the season is still quite long, but 4th position is yet to be decided as quite a lot of teams are going to battle themselves for it down to the end which will make things more interesting and intriguing.
3074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2022, 08:19:17 AM
Surprisingly Anthony Martial officially joined Sevilla on loan option until the end of the season without a buyout clause.
That's a good one for Martial, though I believe he should have taken this step a long time ago, Martial has been a fringe player for United for quite a long while now and that has affected his form very much, I do hope by the way that he is able to return back to his best when/if he starts playing regularly for Sevilla. In my opinion, I think players should move on quickly from their respective clubs if they are continually being used sparingly and seek for more playing time elsewhere, but that should be after they have fought for their place and position in the team.
Manuel Neuer is expected to extend his contract until 2025 at FC Bayern München. Bayern will keep Neuer until he begins to grow grey hairs! As much as I want Neuer to stay at Bayern, I think it's also important for the club to invest in its young prospects and develop them. After all, he's not getting any younger! Rather than sign new players, Bayern Munich is working on renewing contracts with key players in the first team.
Manuel Neuer is such a great goalkeeper, and I can understand if Bayern want to keep him till the end of his career, but I second your idea that the club should also start looking for younger options that would replace him when he finally retires, but I trust the Bayern board, they are pretty good in making wonderful decisions, so I'm sure sooner or later, they would buy a younger replacement for Manuel Neuer.
3075  Economy / Economics / Re: Doctors fear health care collapse amid omicron surge on: January 23, 2022, 05:28:26 PM
If they didn't see healthcare as a means to make huge profit then we wouldn't be seeing this kind of problem, they jacked up the prices of medicines to the point of collapse and they don't pay the staff enough because they want to maximize profits over the fact that they need more people to work on those hospitals so here's the result.
If I'm correct I guess you're talking about the U.S. government, the thing is, I do not think this current situation is peculiar to just the United States of America, I believe every country is as well facing one or two problems with their healthcare system due to the rising cases of covid19 and the need to attend to more people, I know the healthcare sector is one very important aspect of our society today, but we must understand that they can't function without funds, especially at this crucial time, I don't know how high it costs in the U.S. cause I don't live there, but where I'm from things have as well gone high, making it slightly difficult to afford, but I do not entirely put the blame on the government. The pandemic is something we all didn't plan for, and steps are still being taken to get things under control by governments that are at least honest with their people.
3076  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary merit stats on: January 23, 2022, 03:46:40 PM
I don't know how many people ignore my post than it deserves, it doesn't matter to me. But I just want you to correct me about do I get more merit because I also believe that it can help other users? I currently have 0 sMerit, it makes it hard for me to appreciate other users' quality posts.
I actually do not think users or merit sources would skip your post just cause you're a legendary member, they could prolly expect something of the highest quality from someone who has reached the highest rank on the forum, thereby increasing their standard requirement, they would also prolly not review your post history or give you merits in bulk since you have no more ranking up to do, but that still doesn't mean that they will completely ignore your post. There are quite a lot of legendary members that get merited on a daily basis, my theory is this, Legendary rank I think comes with "responsibility" of some sort, and a higher expectation in terms of quality, I'm not saying you don't make quality posts, but maybe you have to take it up a bit after hitting the legendary rank, inorder to get merited constantly.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says Eden Hazard is set to stay at the club. The 31-year-old Belgian winger has been linked with a return to the Premier League this January. This is a surprise to me, I thought Real wanted to get rid of him.
I'm actually surprised with this news as well, I mean Hazard has more or less contributed little or nothing to Real since joining them, and personally I think it's about time the two parties sever their relationship, it could even be good for Hazard, it's very possible that he moves to another team and maybe rediscovers his lost form and fitness, sometimes a change of club, maybe country can help a player, and that very well could be what Hazard needs. Well if Real still wants him, then maybe they have plans of playing him more frequently whenever he is fit to see if he can actually come good again, we'll all have to wait and see.
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 23, 2022, 02:39:36 PM
According to the recent odds, PSG are not even one of the biggest three candidates to win the Champions League title now. I wonder why bookmakers are thinking like this now. PSG still don't seem the biggest candidate maybe but they are not much weaker than Manchester City in the end. They should have been given a much lower odd than this. I think that PSG are strong enough to reach the final at least. Maybe it is doubtful if they can win the title but they can reach the final. And they should do so before losing Mbappe.
Personally I wouldn't consider them amongst my favorite three candidates, but the thing is if you look at their individual quality, anything is possible and things can change quickly, but as for now I can understand why the bookmakers have the odds fixed that way, if you look at PSG during the group stage, they weren't as good as people thought they would, they were not too bad idea, but City were by far the better team in the group, and even in their domestic league, they lead the standings, but they aren't in scintillating form.

Having said that, it's still very much possible that PSG would make it to the final, but for now, I can't tip them for that, except Pochettino is able to gather his boys effectively and unleash them, but for now they are not really great as a team. City, Bayern, Real Madrid are better candidates to lift the trophy if you ask me.
3079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 23, 2022, 02:13:14 PM
Tottenham Hotspur won't allow Chelsea win them for the fourth time this month the game will be very strong but am very sure Tottenham will take the full points in this London Derby. and if they do so they will have a very good chance to climb the top four.because they still have 2 games outstanding to be played.all they need today is to play Chelsea with pride.
It's a derby, so I'm expecting it to come with an additional thrill, twists and turns, to be honest it does not really matter too much how many times Chelsea have beaten Spurs this season, if Conte's men are poor today, they'll still get beat again, it is what it is. Having said that, I still get your point that Spurs would have to be extra motivated for this game, going by the outcome of the previous ones this season, and that's true, they surely wouldn't want the Blues fans to have all the bragging rights this season.
Obviously, it's a good opportunity for Liverpool and I don't think they want to waste it. Crystal Palace may not be a tough opponent, and Liverpool should be able to beat Crystal Palace but they still shouldn't underestimate Crystal Palace because if Liverpool is careless, they will have the same fate as Man City.
Of course, Liverpool would relish that draw yesterday, City were more or less running away with the title with 12 straight wins, but they could not make it 13, and had to settle for a draw, losing two points in the process, Liverpool can cut that gap now, and I'm pretty sure they'll do just that, at least that will put City under pressure in their next games, and maybe set up a thrilling end to the season.
3080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to find a promising projects? on: January 22, 2022, 10:16:06 PM
my question is how to find a promising project? how to check the project is scam or real? if u have experience  can u share this experience in here
If I'm going to be honest with you, it's a pretty difficult task, there are quite a lot of projects today, with many more still coming out, thus choosing/selecting the one that may be profitable is more or less based on luck, and very risky, personally I don't invest in new projects or altcoins for that matter, I think ethereum isn't a bad choice at all, it has gotten to the stage were it can be said to be a long term project, as a result it's a good investment. Having said that, If you manage to get any 'promising' project, do not invest more than you can afford to lose, and mind you that you should take profits when it accrues, cause most of this new projects are pump and dump coin, and they can dump at any time.
