Long time hodlers really are those who enjoy the real beauty of cryptocurrency indeed. Long term hodling has turned many who never envisaged themselves as millionaires into millionaires. A very good example is the case of the Winklevoss twins who were crazy enough to buy $10m worth of btc when it was $8 and were able to hodl through the good and bad times till it got better. Today they are billionaires and are reaping the fruits of long term hodling.
The crypto market can give participants happiness and sadness, gains and losses. It is decided by people decisions: what coins they buy, what price they buy, what coins they buy and hold, what market trend in which they hold. Losses if they buy shit coins and hold them in bear market. Losses if they buy any coins at all time highs and no higher all time highs. They will hate the market, blame it for their losses. They will consider the crypto market as a scam place If losses are what they get, they don't see any beauty of the market. You see its beauty and love it more than you thought if you have gains from the market. |

BitGeSell is recovering and the increasing volume is good for more rally and maybe other all time highs for this coin. It was overvalued at $10 on Binance 7 days ago but now around $2 for one TokoCrypto token, it is good. I am not considering it as an overvalued price. Exchange tokens will have their season in the bull market. Tokocrypto exchanger will become big with supports from Binance. $2 for one good exchange token is not expensive. I believe it can claim the price $10 in the future but I was surprised when people bought it at $10 after the launch. Launch pad is one of events to make noise and attract capital from exchanges and developers. They get benefit with high price and trading volume, fees. |

I think the cause of the current high gas costs is due to the increasing popularity of defi, which triggers the density of transactions that occur on the Ethereum platform today and so I have seen an increase in gas prices like this happened in 2018, which was when crypto was experiencing its peak increase in price. Every investor has to learn the lesson, many times. I don't feel bad when I admit that I do this mistake many times. This current big bit by alts this year is one big indicator that its good to hodl even if the market is dropping since in future if we can able to hold our patience a huge reward will came.
The altcoin market in 2017 and 2018 are hyped with ICOs and many scam projects end months later with serious loss, dead projects and no products for investors as their developers promised. It is repeated again with DeFi in this year and more scam types with NFT hype.
I don't fully understand what you meant but if you're talking about investing in altcoins, one has to be very very careful. It's not new neither is it strange to anybody here that it is very easy to get carried away by the prospect of making so much money by investing in altcoins.
Altcoins are good in bull market because they can increase in times, not in percent. In bear market, bitcoin is the strongest and you should not invest in altcoins, hold altcoins in bear market. I hope my friend can start again at this time, because I see that alt season is going to happen, where is it that the coins will increase sharply, it looks like BNB, Polkadot, Chailink might be a good alternative to buy and hold it until the end of this year. Most of the erc-20 tokens are listed on Uniswap, 1inch, and Sushiswap since they have good liquidity. I don't know why you are focus on erc-20 tokens only but the fees on buying or selling them using these Ethereum AMMs are very high.
They are not exchangers but token swap platforms. They are not decentralized. They are operating on ERC-20 chain so the fee when you swap tokens are high. A few of them are building bridges to Binance Smart Chain to reduce swap fees but it will take time. I see ERC-20 chain at the moment is crazy, the withdrawal fee of USDT on this chain can be up to $40. That is too high fee but on exchanges don't support other chains, people have to accept the bloody fee. ERC-20 tokens for DeFi projects are not good and safe as many investors think. Risks are huge from their smart contracts, overhigh prices and the market is going to the correction time. |

Cost to transfer USDT now: $20 at the very cheapest and slowest speed. Average is $40.
I made my USDT withdrawal on ERC-20 chain and the cost is $40. That is crazy expensive and I don't like it but I don't have any option to choose and reduce the withdrawal fee. I stored my USDT on an exchange years ago and it has low trading volume now. They don't provide TRC-20 chain and I can not convert my USDT to altcoins. The spread on their altcoin pairs are big and it can not help me. Finally I have to withdraw my fund with USDT on ERC-20 and afford the expensive cost.
This makes me wonder, will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? If not, why? Is there a possibility governments will adopt stablecoins as their own instead of launching digital currencies from scratch? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.  They won't replace fiat currencies. Fiat currencies will have strong competitors, stable coins, bitcoin and altcoins but they won't disappear completely. Those currencies (bitcoin, altcoins, stable coins, fiat) will exist together. The cake portion for fiat currencies will be taken over and shared more by other currency types but fiat won't be killed. My capital has three of them: bitcoin, altcoins, fiat and stable coins. I reshuffle their allocation with time but never use a single type to store all of my fund. It is very risky. |

This is probably a dumb question, good thing is that happy faces brings back after the SEC controversy. XRP riding the unstoppable bull run and the initial investors has been waiting something like that. I had a long hold and would not be tempted to sell out.

It is good for Ripple and Ripple investors but they don't enjoy the rally and get out, they will get rekted again by another regulation or law suit from SEC. When price climbs up, they will hope for higher prices and don't take profit, don't take a draw for their investments. When price falls deeply, they hope for a draw and sadly in reality when chances knock their doors, they reject them. Ripple can have a new all time high with the Reversed pattern Shoulder-Head-Shoulder but I won't make any bet with my capital for Ripple new ATH. The newest rally is enough for me, I am out. I think there is a logic behind not expecting XRP to go up, I had that for nearly 6 years or so now and I understand the current reasons as well. If you like XRP that is your own personal choice, nobody can say anything to you and you should do what you want, ignore what others say if you want to, you have that right. However others have the same right to hate and not support XRP as well, just like how you have the right to like it, it goes both ways.
No need to love or hate any cryptocurrency or their community members. The market is here and thousands of cryptocurrencies are there for us to choose, make decisions and build up our financial career. Get profit, end with losses, achieve financial freedom, get killed by the market. All of such depends on our decicions. I personally never liked XRP because of Ripple and how centralized the coin was, it is not a current reason, it has nothing to do with SEC and nothing to do with the investigation, truth be told I wouldn't expect a coin which is owned mostly be a company and mainly by two owners of that company to be investigated by SEC and still go up neither, but if it does good for it, I never liked it far before any of that happened. I have the right to hate it for being centralized around two people, just like how you have a right to like it as well.
The centralization of Ripple and reaction of the core team members can manipulate Ripple price but we as investors can not have access to internal activities ahead of time to get in or get out of Ripple. The market is not rosy for all. |

Here are some scenerios that can cause the price of btc to fall drastically. (In my opinion, it is highly unlikely and the possibility very slim).
The market need it for volatility. Without volatility, you can not trade bitcoin. (1) No way to trade bitcoin or exchange it for goods and services.
You can not trade bitcoin on centralized exchanges but there will be many other ways to trade bitcoin. On peer to peer marketplaces, on decentralized exchanges. Another way is direct exchange with bitcoiners around you. Everyone can make direct deals with each other and finish their trades. Escrow services will be mandatory for your safety. (2) All governments of the world placing a ban on bitcoin and bitcoin related activities making it highly illegal.
How many years since the birthday of bitcoin? 12 years and governments won't ban bitcoin or cryptocurrency as we have seen. They only have more rules, regulations on this market. That's all they will do. (3) The entire bitcoin network and nodes going offline making it impossible to even make underground transactions in bitcoin.
If you have electricity, power, infrastructures, mining rigs (ASICs), and skills to set up your rigs, connect to bitcoin nodes, pools, you can mine. The network will keep moving forwards. Apocalypse will destroy all things on this planet and bitcoin network will be killed only by this way. (4) Another crypto overtaking bitcoin and value and more people shifting investment to this new crypto.
Altcoins? They are shit coins and they can not kill bitcoin. They can only kill themselves, make suicide and end their lifespans. |
