3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 28, 2022, 07:34:11 AM
I just heard this morning from a colleague that he bet some decent money on Villarreal yesterday and on the match next Tuesday. No idea how he came up with the idea that they have any chance against Liverpool. Liverpool was already a clear favourite before the match, but the game yesterday
I do not see anything wrong about that, I too can do that but I would have gone for 1/2 which means any club can win and if drawn, I will lose. We have noticed many surprises in champions league, anything can happen and the odd is huge. What that matters is to never bet with the money you can not afford to lose.

To be candid this Liverpool team is currently the BEST team in Europe by a mile!!! I honestly can't see anything or anyone stopping them from winning this UCL! Not even Man City, certainly not Ancellotti's team! Good team play, look at the fluidity, link up play, attack! Such a Beauty to watch! Bayern underrated Villarreal we can all see that this Villarreal team had improved immensely
Man City is a very good club too, Liverpool won the club in FA because Man City coach do not use the first 11 for the match when it started, Manchester City is a very good club like Liverpool if both clubs meet again, no one knows who would win.
3062  Other / Meta / Re: Creting a second account after ban without being caught. on: April 28, 2022, 07:22:00 AM
Some people's account are not just banned, the people themselves are banned. Why are they banned? It is because they are not smart, intelligent, brilliant which makes people to track their account again and see another reason for them to be banned again and again like as they continue spamming and plagiarizing and evading ban. It is good to avoid ban in the first place because if not avoided, there are a lot more reasons the person is not brilliant and intelligent enough to avoid ban again because of ban evasion, spamming, plagiarizing and not obeying the rules of our forum.

3064  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia suspends gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria for failing to pay in rouble on: April 27, 2022, 11:59:55 AM
Russian energy giant Gazprom cutoff gas supply to Poland and Bulgary because they did not pay in Ruobles. According to what I have read on news, Poland will later not rely on Russia gas, but imminent action is needed for now. By next year, a new pipeline will be available to import gas directly from Norway to poland which will effectively replace the Russia gas. I understand this time could be a hard time because Poland import 53% of its gas even in this 2022 first quarter, it reduced from last year 61%. Actions are taken in a way they will not depend on Russia gas any longer by next year. Also Poland as been reducing its Russia dependency as it has been taking supply from Qatar than before in the past year for not to depend more on Russia. Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said his country and Greece will continue to work together on energy security and diversification. We hope that would be fruitful towards not depending on Russia supply.

Summer is already approaching, demand for gases will be reduced. Polish energy provider said polish underground gas is 80% full. Russia is only isolating itself in a way Europe will not later depend on its supply, though EU are working towards that already.
3065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: April 27, 2022, 08:22:06 AM
I really hope their country will succeed with bitcoin although know that it is very difficult because the price volatility of bitcoin is so big. El Salvador is betting the nation's fate on bitcoin, pray for them.
How would it not be successful, it would. See the US dollar Pounds, Euro and other fiat getting devalued which is how they are, this is one of the reasons bitcoin will proof itself. Even without the devaluing of fiat, if fiat remain somewhat stable, which is not possible though, the price of bitcoin will still increase because more people are demanding for it. Bitcoin now at 5 digits, let us expect 6 digits next 2 or 3 years. It will be successful but it will take time before El Salvador will know the effect.

Let's presume that all of these facts are correct.  Does that mean that you (Vaskiy or anyone else) would agree with the conclusion that El Salvador's bitcoin experiment is "a big failure" or "failed to take off?"
Not a failure, the fault in Chivo wallet that led to loss of US dollar could be one of the reasons, people do not joke with their money, once people see a way money can be lost, they will avoid. It will take time before some people will have confidence in Chivo wallet. Also as more people in El Salvador are getting educated about bitcoin, they will know more about it and use it. It can be a matter of time though.

What that I see that is also most important is that El Salvador support bitcoin, that is a success. The success is in those that buy bitcoin and make the adoption to continue

because it is the only country that is being followed to know how effective is bitcoin in a country's growth.[/b]
I have said on this thread before that what that matters most is adoption, El Salvador is one of the good part of the story but not only the story, countries that have citizens that hold and involve in other ways bitcoin is having more adoption all contributed. Check the image below.

3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Proving He’s not Satoshi- AGAIN on: April 27, 2022, 06:29:30 AM
I do not know what I can call Craig Wright, maybe a fool that wants to fool the world, but he can not fool bitcoin community. A man full of lies and not able to prove if he is Satoshi. When there is a way he can prove that, but he has not given valid reasons why people should call him Satoshi. But I have thought that he just want to be famous and call himself Satoshi because of that, but knowing deep down in him that he is obviously not Satoshi but faketoshi.

Craig Wright is Faketosi.
3068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 27, 2022, 06:18:56 AM

I expected Manchester City to rush Madrid and get early goals and they did exactly, but what they didn't handle well was how to prevent Benzema from scoring.
Both clubs tried but Real Madrid is having good team, Manchester City scored and wanted the goal difference to be much but real Madrid managed to make it just a goal difference as it was 4 - 3 with Manchester City won. The both clubs had 5 shots on target. If what Manchester City wanted is to score much goals and they attack, they should also be expecting goals from Real Madrid which is what happened.

In the second leg, both teams have chances since their is not champions league away goals rule anymore. I tip that Real Madrid will qualify because they will not allow early goals again. Also, Real Madrid is not bothered about laliga anymore while Manchester City is still battling with Liverpool in England, that can be a big distraction.
Aside Manchester City battling with Liverpool in English premier league, also Real Madrid are more than having premier league experience, the second match is not going to be easy at all, but if Manchester City is not careful, Real Madrid may be the club that will qualify for the final. It is also not only about the away goal advantage which has been cancelled by UEFA but Manchester City going to real Madrid's home is another big advantage for Real Madrid.
3069  Economy / Economics / Re: EU suggests we should all go eco and sing kumbaya on: April 27, 2022, 06:05:01 AM
Organic fertilizer is better, there are changes in plants that artificial fertilizers are used for, I have noticed this in some many items I have bought and I know the world is changing. Artificial fertilizer can make crops to grower better and feed more people but I can not go for such crops if known, I will prefer the ones grown on normal soil without fertilizer or alternatively just go for the ones grown by using organic fertilizers to fertilize the soil.

WW3 is coming ...and i hope i am wrong !
About world war 3, let us all wish the Ukraine war did not lead to world war 3 because the kind of weaponry possessed in the world now, especially the nuclear weapons is capable of destroying half of the world if not more.
3070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Bitcoin Mining Council (BMC) global bitcoin mining review Q1 2022 on: April 26, 2022, 05:18:43 AM
The stat includes 2021 when China is still involved in mining hashrates, but I think this shows how bitcoin is consuming low electricity in the world and how more than half of the electricity consumed are from sustainable energy.

*The annotated term “sustainable electricity” was defined by electricity generate by: hydro, wind, solar, nuclear, geothermal.

https://bitcoinminingcouncil.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/2022.04.25-Q1_2022_BMC_Presentation.pdf

Bitcoin Mining Council (BMC) is made up of 44 mining companies representing 50% of the global network

Bitcoin mining energy and carbon emission summary

Bitcoin mining uses an inconsequential amount of global energy (16bps) and generates negligible carbon emissions (8bps).
Bitcoin mining hashrate is up 23% YoY, and energy usage is down 25% YoY, due to an increase in efficiency of 63%.
Bitcoin is the industry leader in sustainability with a 58% sustainable energy mix

BMC survey methodology:
The BMC surveyed bitcoin miners around the the asking three questions;
1.) How much electricity does your total fleet consume today?
2.) What is the total % of sustainable electricity* within your fleet's power generation mixed today?
3.) What is the total aggregate hashrate of your fleet today?
3071  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs really worth it? on: April 26, 2022, 04:30:32 AM
But the government will do that right at the start. They will be "good boys", bringing this new digital currency to us, providing us with a more convenient, and efficient way of transacting with each other. Many people will be bullish about CBDC technology, and every disinforming troll in the forum would start encouraging us to HODL our savings in CBDC. That will be a laughable mistake.
It will be a laughable mistake like you said, CBDCs are not cryptocurrencies, they are pegged with fiat, they are fiat. The government just want to fool people in a way people not to invest in cryptocurrencies like bitcoin which can be used as an hedge against inflation.

To answer this question correctly, let us look at the countries where their government has created their own CBDC which shows there's no huge difference that makes the CBDC worthwhile and the only change I see is the CBDC being easy to use, it limits people carrying fiat currency around while it gives the government more control over people fund and privacy.
In my country, CBDC was created but it has no competition with fiat, people did not use it because it is just fiat just like how we are sending fiat to another person online.
3072  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs really worth it? on: April 24, 2022, 06:47:24 PM
It can be printed in what context do you mean by this?
If you are posting often on economic board, you should remember the US Covid-19 money printing that people have been posting on this forum last year many months ago that people said would probably lead to inflation. US has experienced over 7.8% inflation this year.

By increasing supply, I meant that CBDC will be still like fiat which is created out of the thin air. It won't be like bitcoin which has a fixed total supply.
I am getting you right now, the supply you meant is money printing, that is true, it can lead to inflation but it depends on the the output value of an economy. Assuming if the money printing correspond to an increase in overall output value of an economy, it will not lead to inflation, but if the money printing does not correspond to the overall output, that will lead to inflation.
3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 24, 2022, 06:27:07 PM
Liverpool understands football very well that's is why they do absolutely well in all their games. Sometimes I come to think if it is humans we have as players in Liverpool or robots. Liverpool are always good . The next match they  have with Villarreal  their is higher  probability that Liverpool will win it.
I hope Liverpool would win Villarreal, but Villarreal has gone this far more than people thought would not happen, even Bayern Munich was unable to break Villareal's defense which is more strong in champions league. Let us see what would happen, but if Liverpool would win Villarreal, it is really going to be a tough way to go through, no club in champions league again in semi final can be underestimated. What I am also considering is in premier league, Newcastle are playing better than before, and Liverpool is meeting the club next, this might be a difficult match as well, though Liverpool is stronger.
3074  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange sign up bonuses - Rewards Centers on: April 24, 2022, 11:02:41 AM
Blockchain.com sent me email several times now that I should verify my account through KYC and they will give me reward in bitcoin, I am not actually a blockchain.com user, I only used it for testing and I used an email for it, not my email actually but the one I do use for such experiment purposes.

When I was using Binance when Binance still accept basic verification in which you do not have to provide documents like ID cards, they did sent message several times about how they will reward me of I get verified.

If you provide your documents, many exchanges will reward you for that, but I hope you will not do that because you only want to sacrifice your privacy for money which is even a small amount of money.

I have used Huobi global also which have bonuses like if you deposit certain amount within 24 hours hours, but it will get to the extent you will be required to verify your account so they receive reward for it.

Almost all exchanges have referer reward which I can not term as bonus but as what you worked for.
3075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 24, 2022, 10:52:03 AM
Do you think it's a big advantage for the new casino that they have a bounty manager to be part of the team, we have a good lineup of reputable managers here.
Why should they partner with campaign manager, their work is different and no partnership needed unless, only what Casinos and other gambling sites do is to dialogue with trusted campaign managers, pay them and tell them to do their work. It is as simple as that. If the campaign is successful and continuous, that is enough to know that the gambling site is not created to scam but want to provide quality services to people and in the process the gambling site should be growing.
3076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is accused of providing users data to Russia on: April 24, 2022, 10:44:04 AM
When you are using a centralized exchange, you are trading your privacy for convenience. Assume that everything that you share with them - your ID, your address, your photo, all your transactions and trading data, will be shared with third parties. It can be your own government, foreign government, private companies and so on. And you never know what consequences it can have, maybe someone will decide to "cancel" or prosecute you over a transaction you did 10 years ago?
It can also be to terrorists, theives and illicit online criminals or sold to third parties. Data hack is also very common, it happens several times in just every year on different exchanges.

Fuck Binance. Handing over the data of anti-corruption activists and politicians to Putin's party, so they can be allowed to keep operating in the country. The actions of real cypherpunks. Roll Eyes Navalny has been poisoned by Putin's government, and is now being tortured in jail after various sham trials. Binance literally putting their own profits ahead of actual human lives. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I think its time for a #deletebinance campaign.
This is shocking, I wanted to post how Binance has said it is a false claim before but it would be wrong this time with the OP, I thought the exchange would have integrity but now this shows us how no integrity is involved. I am very confused about this, the best that can be done is to never provide personal documents on exchanges or others that are requesting for it, this would be a peace of mind by not giving your data out to avoid any doubt that may come up like this. If no data was given, nothing like this would happen, but people will always be people, they like to go the wrong way by providing their person details to politics and selling. If Binance truly did that, that means they sold the data which can be in multi million dollars.
3077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 24, 2022, 09:19:35 AM
I think that it was a deserved victory for Inter from the start to the end of the game. They performed so good that Roma didn't have too many goal chances against them. They barely scored their only goal. And now, Inter have the lead again after a very long break. I'm going to watch the Lazio - Milan game tomorrow. Milan are favoured by bookmakers but their job is going to be really difficult. I sense a draw for this game.
Both clubs had good ball possession but Inter Milan is so good that Roma only had just two shots on targets while Inter had eight, it was not a surprise that Inter won to me, I have known Inter had the potential when it defeated Juventus when both clubs met last few weeks ago, defeating Roma should not be a problem. Like I said before the match started yesterday. It has been a great competition between Inter, AC Milan and Napoli this season as they have been the three on the top of the league table, but it seems that Inter is having more chance now but still competition is still between Inter and AC Milan.
3078  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs really worth it? on: April 24, 2022, 09:03:27 AM
We all know that stablecoins are basically pegged with fiat currency in a 1:1 ratio, and we also know that stablecoins are extremely popular when trading cryptocurrencies because their transactions are cheap and fast, and bypass banks. This means that governments want to become competitive with their fiat in the sense of turning it into a CBDC, otherwise they could lose the race with stablecoins and Bitcoin.
The government approach is not excellent at all, or maybe of how I see CBDCs, my country created one already and I see no good need for it than to use our fiat, the CBDC created by the government in my country has its own digital wallet but not on multicoin crypto wallet, it was said that it was not even a cryptocurrency, it can not be used on exchanges ornbenstored using keys generated on crypto wallets. Government suppose to create a kind of CBDCs that can compete with USDT and other stable coins on crypto exchanges which is what the governments should do, not CBDCs that are not cryptocurrencies that have no way to compete with stable coins. Assuming the governments have their own stable coin that are cryptocurrencies, people will prefer to use it compared to using USDT and others that are just created by private companies. As USDT dominates stable coins, it can even still be freezed on noncustododial wallet. The government are taking a wrong approach in my opinion as CBDCs are just totally fiat and nothing specially added.
3079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 23, 2022, 05:21:44 PM
A completely solid performance by Arsenal again! They were wonderful against Chelsea and they managed to show the same performance against Manchester United as well. But I must admit that Manchester United fought well against them too. Ronaldo's existence helped the team a lot until a point.
Christiana Rinaldo is playing very good, he is a good player but Manchester United needs more to that. I hope Ronaldo can know now that it is not only about his skills or because he is good, he had the success in Real Madrid just because of his team there. He was better with Juventus but not better at all with Manchester United, he play good but the team is not making sense and they are playing mot good and weak.. We all expect Arsenal to win this match because it is a match needed to stay above Tottenham to be able to qualify for champions league, so Arsenal have so much energy to make sure that they win.
3080  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs really worth it? on: April 23, 2022, 12:13:19 PM
I am sure they will design the so called digital currency in a way so they can increase the total supply whenever they want.
Even there is nothing like supply about CBDCs, or maybe I am not getting you right, just like you said that it is not at all different from fiat, it only just has the price of fiat and nothing more. But the central banks are saying it is built using blockchain technology but it is not just transparent like those of bitcoin that we know how it works, I have not even believed it is built using blockchain technology.
