3061  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Rakuten’s Crypto Exchange Has Launched for Trading on: August 22, 2019, 11:46:13 PM
Unfortunately it seems they did not accept global users? Can't see the platform in english version though. Japan crypto market getting more exciting with this announcement we all know there's not much competitor in japan since mtgox, a new player with big name such as rakuten i have no doubt that the day where cryptocurrency  mass adoption there... are something really possible occurred very soon.
I actually don't mind it staying local to Japan, and I'd argue it's the smart move. Japan is the most welcoming country for cryptocurrencies, and no doubt the company would have to deal with way more issues if they tried to reach the global markets.
I mean why they did not take a chance on reaching global market to get way more potential profit? They have a good name at the world stage so why not? That's the most reasonable thing instead avoiding more 'issues' ... they are huge company and i'm sure they are very well dealing with any kind issues.

However Bitflyer did focusing on local japanese user and now what they achieve? I think not much.

Well shall we welcoming 200 million potential crypto user? Considering rakuten is sponsoring one of the biggest football club in the world barcelona which have more than 200 million fanbase  Grin , they would pay attention to this news.
Good PR stunt for them, but I don't know the extend of the exposure to football fans though, back in 2017 we have seen a lot of athletes promoting crypto, but so far we haven't seen the effects. Even UFC started last year with Litecoin on the center of the mat. But look at the price of Litecoin today. More and more personalities are coming and supporting crypto, but it may take some time before we can see the positive effect.

Well a positive effect isn't always about the price spike , don't you agree? Making crypto appears in a well known company/events could remove public doubts on cryptocurrency ... they would feel like ' hey it's mainstream already , why not to give it a shot now? ' and there you go ...
3062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin faces more decreases on: August 22, 2019, 11:21:34 PM
It is not enough that we are above 10k with a healthy movement allowed, we need to be so much higher than 10k that it should look like its impossible to go below anymore to make sure we are at a good place right now, for example if the price stays here it is always possible that we can hit back under 10 thousand dollars.

However, if it goes to 15+ then we can say its still possible but it becomes more improbable, it has dropped from 20 thousand to 3 thousand before so nothing is impossible but at the very least we can say day to day trades won't drop it under 10, when we went from 20 to 3 it wasn't in a day hence we need to make a room for not a day level, which is around 15, even over 13 would be fine as long as we break the high parts of it. That would make us all more comfortable.
I wont be surprised if we do stay up with these levels which is playing between sub (>< 10k price).Entire market had recovered from 3k to 10k does take years.

So I don't expect too much for us to move so quickly on breaking out those resistances just to hurry up to break its previous ATH and also there no need to hurry to see
sharp spike yet I do prefer on seeing gradual increase but it would gonna be a bumpy road.
Here is the problem in a free market like cryptocurrency, the movement is so wild ..

you never know it could plung to the lowest like -300% or having the bull run unstoppable due the decentralized nature. But people only expect for the bull run and forget that there might a correction causing the price a bit down , or how people could lost interest at crypto anytime at some point which could make things didn't went well as most people expected. You guys need to anticipate something like this more often rather than daydreaming to have another ATH over and over again , it would make the market looks more healthy for you.
3063  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is bithumb.pro a Good Platform for Crytopcurrency Exchange? on: August 22, 2019, 05:49:41 PM
Someone has asked the same thing in twitter (https://twitter.com/BithumbOfficial/status/1125581976197423104)

But since BGH One (.pro) was able to use bithumb's name, I guess there is some extent of connection between them although not as much as being responsible on the other party's actions like if some hacking occurred to either one of them.

Thoughts?
Nice catch!
I won't speculate too much that there's connection between . But here since there's no sufficient information about how bithumb.pro running ... i would prefer avoid use them and just stick to the bithumb.com .

Just strange if they allow the similar name but under separate company 🤨 , the bithumb.pro interface feel like chinese platform such as digifinex, okex, coinegg and huobi pro ... isn't it? Check them out.

Do you want people to put on headsets and listen to this podcast for 28:33 minutes? why would people do that? I think you should listen to the podcast and then summarize what they said and post in this thread the summary you made

I would love to know your thoughts about where we are going and how you think the landscape will change.

if enter a lot of money in the crypto market, I believe that the volatility will not be very high as it is today, at least we will not see high increases and followed by very large falls
I'm visual guy , if only i have to put headset on my ears i prefer listening to my jazz and blues playlist rather than listening to some random podcast talking about crypto lol.

Don't you know that people at bbc telling a fish story? Especially when it comes to cryptocurrency,  i don't know why they do that. But it seems they realized it's a hot topic these days .. this podcast is beat the air.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How I lost 200,000 EURO on Bitcasino.io on: August 21, 2019, 02:40:36 PM
Can someone please explain this to me:

https://imgur.com/a/T5rvQFn

I got free spins on Win Escalator, my balance was 143,906.71 which you can see in the left corner. As soon as I won the free spins my balance in the top right corner updated to 211,906.71

During the free spins I won exactly 68,000.00 which is 143,906.71 + 68,000.00 = 211,906.71

If the games use a RNG and each spin is unique, how was the game able to predict before even starting the free spins that I would win exactly 68000 credits in those 8 free spins?

This happened on another game where I won 12 free spins.
Slots from software providers usually have a skip button and as what chateaux explained while you're on the free spin animation the outcome of all the free spins is  known already.

Maybe it only does it with that provider. On the screenshots they seem to be on the same provider because of the button design.  With other slot providers i've tried I usually receive my updated balance after.

That's correct happened to me a lot of times , i think everyone has experienced the same thing too. Sometimes it's smell a rat due how disappointed you are having a bad day , a bad luck that time , a wise gesture needed.

However when it comes to bitcasino.io i think it's well known since 2016 that they have too much problem unsolved like :

Withdrawal on hold for months ..
Ignoring customer complaints ..
Rejecting withdrawal request for unclear reason ..

Also a shady gaming platform ..
Most importantly, their t&c changing as they wish. Stay away.
3066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales Every time change the market?? on: August 21, 2019, 02:13:27 PM
seeing some level of manipulation in the market doesn't mean "control". you can manipulate price of anything, even in the biggest markets out there but as long as the market has a bit of a decent volume and is not that small, it can not be controlled. bitcoin market has not been small for at least 6 years.

if you are making mistakes and not making money (losing?) while in bitcoin market maybe the problem is with your decision making. you should know that trading is not easy and you can't just jump in without any prior experience and expect to be successful!
As long as there's a high volume traded i think even a whale that have huge balance in the bag will not win against the people power to move the market as they wish , a free market like cryptocurrency is way more difficult complex unlike stocks market which the potential for some people/groups to 'control' the market is actually very high .
And yes in the short term it might affected significantly to change the market direction but not for the long term especially in the last few years where crypto market grow quickly. The bottom line is that whales could be beaten  Grin . So be it.
3067  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: August 21, 2019, 12:00:16 PM
This libra thing advertised very simple as a global currency while the actual is complex. How could a single digital currency used as one central payment gateaway without breaking each country regulation? I would'nt call it as a form of cryptocurrency at all.

The only thing disruptive is when authorities around the world giving facebook a discretion to use libra at their own territory without giving any benefit to each country such as tax , fee or something because everyone knows the libra concept is centralized just like a conventional bank and banks do takes fee . So no , nothing seems disruptive as long as libra did not runs in completely decentralized which could for real makes the function of conventional banks disappear as time goes by. It's a bit complex.
Adding up, government wont really like for a coin like this can move freely on its own. They do the current condition of crypto market yet this Libra is heavily centralized though
but I cant see a reason why would it be disruptive on some manner. Tax is a possible cause for government to think off on going against it.Until now we haven't seen any updates in relation to it.
That's what i mean, a single currency used globally won't be easy crystallized. Any government would stand for their own currency instead easily allow other currency like libra to get in their territory.
The last news I heard about libra that they need a bank charter ... Facebook libra need to become a bank otherwise they are against bank regulations , Facebook libra might failed to launch, the system always prevent innovation.
3068  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is bithumb.pro a Good Platform for Crytopcurrency Exchange? on: August 21, 2019, 11:22:01 AM
I haven't used them but have a look at this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/helloicon/comments/860oa1/icx_is_not_listed_on_bithumb_it_is_listed_on/

Someone says there that the exchange shares the same name like bithumb.com but is run by someone different. On top of that volume is lower while comparing it with bithumb.com. I would suggest going for bithumb.com rather than registering up for .pro site.
Also there's bithumb.net but it's redirected to bithumb.com which means both domain are run by the same company. If someone could clarify and make it clear that the bithumb.pro is part of bithmub.com ... would be nice to remove the doubts here.

To op :

Look at this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5079048.0 there's a thread to discuss about how good or bad an exchange by comparing each other , could be a reference.
3069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think ETH will bounce back to $600 or back below $100 ? on: August 20, 2019, 05:09:54 PM
Guys, i am new here, i was buying ETH today. I'm not really following this, i just thought ETH is still cheap now and 2020 seems cryptocurrency get many big event (libra, ETH 2.0, btc halving day)..
Did i wrong ? Did ETH still good ?
Please don't, mention about libra, people must stay away from centralized coins like that

Ethereum price today is $190. $90 left before reach $100 and still need $410 to reach $600. We in a bear market so the most potential will down.
Everytime ethereum goes down you guys must continue buying to the dip  Grin , this is a 'bluechip' one .. i have no doubt , the more falling down the more happy i am to buy as much as i can , just remember to use your free money because this might takes a little bit longer to recover / bounce back , HODL and harvest it later!
$190 now pretty cheap especially for those who bought at $800 back in the good days on late 2017. Now or never .. take that chance to buy against the current bearish market , i'm sure the rewards would be really good. I have done it many times!
3070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you Bother of the latest Cryptocurrency price drop? on: August 20, 2019, 01:13:58 PM
Drop what? I still see it as a promising growth since 2013   Grin not bad to bought some ... back in january 2013 hmm? But if you mean by looking at the last 3 months started from june then yes several times the market goes down and having a flash drop testing the support level at $7.4k and now it seems at $9k or so.

Since early 2019 there bunch of top trader warn and predict that at the mid of 2019 bitcoin price might plunge to even as low as $5k / $2k , thank lord ... it didn't happened that hard.
3071  Economy / Economics / Re: How would loans work in a Bitcoin economy on: August 20, 2019, 09:10:35 AM
Hello everyone,,
To my understanding people deposit money into banks and the banks use that money to give out loans. But with Bitcoin everyone is essentially their own bank, meaning there wouldn’t be anyone to give out traditional loans. My question is where would people go to get loans in a Bitcoin economy and how might those loans work?

In my opinion, bitcoin was created not to replace money but as a peer to peer payment instrument that does not involve third parties such as banks. If in the past fiat money was created with a back up of gold, it could have been if bitcoin was recognized as an asset, fiat money was created with backups of bitcoin as a reserve. But in my opinion this is still far away, because the central bank certainly does not want to lose its role in the economy
I think we are living in 'bitcoin economy' already now .. the bank services like a traditional loan and a peer to peer lending services been around for the last few years side by side, as time goes by this kind service would become mainstream and people would'nt even realized that it's powered by blockchain technology,  because of course yes they care only about how they receiving an easy loan as quick as possible .

Banks will always be there with their product even they could adopt the blockchain technology to compete in the advanced market era ( at this point it's about how to deliver a loan effectively efficiently )
3072  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Why 20% profit in crypto is TERRIBLE. on: August 20, 2019, 06:42:51 AM
I'd say good.
I've seen quite a few people got rekt and a -90% profit due to greedy.

It’s not greedy in crypto to expect 2x.... it’s greedy to expect 10x NOW, 2017 not so much lol

Crypto is too risky to expect 20%. Too many traps, too dangerous. If you want 20% value invest in the us stock market.

You dont do crypto to get peanuts. You do crypto to multiply.
That's sounds very crytpo to me lol .. but here the problem from my point of view :

- people tend to speculative when it comes to crypto investment / trading that's why most people here make an insane target like 500% to even 2000% , why? Because they have experienced it in the past and willing to repeat the same thing over and over again. It could happened but yes that's so speculative.

- timing is they key , and it's smells about luck or not. I mean making an investment on crypto at the right time might get you a 300% easily and guess (honestly i experienced it a couple times) it feel like things that happened to me is 30% my analysis skills and the rest of it just luck , don't ya?

Strike a balance between skills and luck is needed , otherwise ... getting 5% to 10% daily or 100% to 150% in the long term isn't bad at all, cheers!
3073  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: August 19, 2019, 11:30:21 PM
I don't think that Libra has such power. Although it's a kind of stable coin that is backed up by Facebook and some financial institutions it is not formaly introduced into financial system and can't disrupt it. I think that Libra is given much importance and power than in reality actually has. I don't expect that Libra will have some significant influence on anything, not just financial system.
I also agreed with what you said but the governments don't see it that way since Libra coin was said to be pegged and issue in many national currencies. Mind you, they are once against bitcoin due to its potentials before some of them started to give in but I think we need to wait for the result of the meet which the lawmaker wants to have with the Libra team in Switzerland to see if they will also give in.
This libra thing advertised very simple as a global currency while the actual is complex. How could a single digital currency used as one central payment gateaway without breaking each country regulation? I would'nt call it as a form of cryptocurrency at all.

3075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ethereum survive below 0.02 BTC per coin? on: August 19, 2019, 08:41:18 AM
I think that now the dominance of bitcoin has simply increased and people transfer part of their funds to bitcoin. This is not to say that Ethereum in the future will not be able to be more expensive than 0,02 BTC. The cryptocurrency market is volatile.

After it crashed below the support level of BTC0.02 per coin, the next important support for Ethereum was at BTC0.018. For a while it looked like the prices were stabilizing around that level. But now it has resumed the downward journey and the last time I checked this level was also breached. Now the exchange rate is going at BTC0.01788 per coin.
I would prefer stick to the long term fundamental about ethereum 2.0’s phase zero that take place on january next year... for that reason no matter the market gets dump today, breaking everyone's support levels, it won't go low as insane as 20%, 50% or so.

By the date close to the ethereum 2.0 launching , it's even a sure bullish. We have seen something like this occured often. Too good to be missed on what will happened to ethereum next after the ethereum 2.0 officially launched , now just HODL!

3077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should we have to follow the footmarks of top traders? on: August 19, 2019, 08:01:58 AM
What made top traders gain their profit might not work for you. Their timing is different with yours. however, it is indeed a good idea to pick and follow a trader and see how he makes profits specially if that trader openly shares his knowledge to everyone. But keep in mind what they will share is what they experienced and it might not be applicable on your next trade.
I simply must agree with that , a new trader and an experienced trader has their own timelines .. if you force to apply it into yours i bet that things would went wrong.

It's pretty obvious that those people who make a plain copy on what top traders doing are know nothing but greed to achieve an instant success.
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 18, 2019, 02:59:38 PM
Yep. You could say that. Grin And I'd like to keep it that way. I openly say here in the forum that I don't gamble that much and I don't gamble that big. I just don't like the feeling of losing 'cause who doesn't, right? So I prefer to think before I bet. Doesn't matter if I don't win that huge but at least I don't lose thag big also. Wink
In short, gamble funds that you can afford to lose Cheesy.

When I invest some of my funds in gambling, I only invest an amount that I can afford and will feel ok if I lose it. If I win on it then good but if I lose then good too because it is ok for me that I lost.

The first part is also same for me as i keep certain funds for gambling and in case i lose, i know its part of gambling. Now comes the more difficult part, what i do when i win ? Well, its make me play more and more until all the amount is lost. Wink But i feel happy at least that i have enjoyed the game and thats what most people miss while playing gambling, The FUN.
There's no fun on losing , be realistic mate.. the goal in gambling is about to win that's why everyone chasing it to the death and found nothing but a dead inside feeling when they realized 'it's impossible to always getting a win' fair to say that you should have a wise mentality after a winning by cash them out immediately without have to think!
3079  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a Stock Market Crash affect Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2019, 02:02:38 AM
Market crashes are not that much shocking anymore, after 2008 people realized that its something they have to live with and take precautions accordingly, nowadays you can't find people who are fully invested in stocks, of course there are tons of people who have stock investments but none of them actually go for 100% stock investments, they are go for bonds, forex and commodities just to spread their risk around.

When market crashed gold went up so anyone who has gold AND stock investments are basically leveraging against themselves and since gold doesn't move much its a safe bet. So market crash could have a little affect on bitcoin but not as much as 2008 because nobody is that much exposed to stock market anymore. Maybe a few but that is not big enough to make a change.
Considering the current macroeconomic uncertainity that triggered by several factors including how aggressive US and China make their moves...

And a strong opinion that a lot of people looking for safe haven outside the stock market beside gold they are looking for an opportunity in crypto,  not sure how it would affect.. But until today we can't see any sign that there's a big money come in crypto market.

Opportunistic investors / traders will only makes the market unhealthy, prefer the organic one who really believe in crypto since day one.
3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 18, 2019, 01:11:35 AM
In the City vs Tottenham match, I want City to lose at least a point. You know why 🤪

Liverpool fan  Grin, you guys were lucky as Southampton would had easily won that match. They outplayed Liverpool especially in the first half. Mane's goal was the savior as it gave you guys something to fight for. Liverpool didn't play today's game like a team that want to win the league. Chelsea took something out of you guys at Istanbul. Wonder how you guys will perform against Arsenal.

You're in luck though as Lucas just equalize for Tottenham with his very first touch of the ball (through a header). Scoreline 2:2. Full-time. Another last minute VAR intervention to denial Manchester city a win over Tottenham just as it did in the champions league last season.
I know it's too soon to say that manchester city would again dominate the league this season , i just can't understand how pep guardiola train their players and make a big game like against tottenham give them 30 shots on goal , crazy isn't it?

Even though only liverpool and tottenham in the last season could make city struggle , i expect a more competitive matches this season , you know it's not exciting to see a dominated league like ligue 1 or bundesliga , manchester city has won two EPL title consecutively , it's not good for me who enjoy the old epl kick n rush.

Arsenal , liverpool , manchester city and tottenham get their points ... will chelsea and manchester united get theirs today? I bet for chelsea moneyline and manchester united moneyline they should get a good start of the season to compete.
