Another thing about being dumb: You posted in other thread (BFL god forbidden)..... 130w vs 72w is a 20% difference. This is for the SC single power consumption.
I don't recall what kind of calculation i did, but it was correct. I was assuming 6 chips/single and not 8, etc. No need to troll here, FYI.

Sono l'unico a cui da fastidio il tuo atteggiamento che consiste nell'evitare categoricamente di informarsi per conto proprio e continuare a chiedere la pappa pronta?
3063  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18 on: February 20, 2013, 07:44:14 PM
Anyway after this I think that we seriously deserve an update about the REAL status of the shipping...
3064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18 on: February 20, 2013, 07:11:19 PM
now we know how BFL customers feel? Dont get me wrong. I am also a BFL customer. But dates have been pushed out a lot with them also. Why BowJob made the BFL flu comment.. which i must say is pretty fricken funny now Smiley
Yes but I had more trust in Avalon than what they deserved. I always defended them, for being unable to ship in time till now. I was wrong.
3065  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18 on: February 20, 2013, 06:51:45 PM
Looks like Avalon caught a small dose of BFL flu.
Quote
If you order now this batch is scheduled to start shipping by March 10th and before April 15th.

Your quote has no link. Where did you get such dates?
On the ufficial store... Don't know, I feel treated like a dumb, changing the terms after the order...
3066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Help with choosing a UPS / power conditioning setup for 4xAvalon V1 machines? on: February 20, 2013, 08:55:33 AM
Yes,but you could send the avalons directly to the datacenter, they will mount them and all.
This way you will not have to pay 800$/Mbit using a first world datacenter (here in Italy 3 years ago it was 100$/mbit, third world here).
Standard rates lately are as low as 0.5$/Mbit, just ask for a 10Mbps connection and 1TB of monthly transfer.
3067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: February 19, 2013, 11:25:40 PM
Jeff,

What is the IP address to access the mining interface on your Avalon?  Did it come with any documentation?

192.168.0.1 if i recall it correctly. No docs. No dhcp. Just connect and configure manually.
3068  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: February 19, 2013, 08:51:47 PM
16*5 = 80 chips for 22GH/s => 275MH/chip @ 2.5W.
BFL should do around 6GH/chip @ 13W

Maybe someone already did this math but i still find it interesting.
Where did you get that from? Last thing I heard it was 72W at the wall for the 60GH/s single, which' 8 chips clock at 7.5GH/s btw, so the whole device uses 1.2 W per GH/s.
Sorry... i did the math with what i recalled by mind and i had an error of 20%...

The big difference in power probably comes from the smaller process node, 110nm that avalon uses is horribly huge by todays standards =/
Once that BFL deliveries you will have a point.

3072  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Il mio punto di vista su mtgoxUSD on: February 19, 2013, 04:23:40 PM
@erco,

Secondo me, se ci mettiamo una settimana o dieci giorni, sarebbe prova di grandissima stabilità del mercato. In quel caso dovrei rivedere le mie teorie sulla bolla in corso e convincermi a comprare.

How much do you pay per kWh? Haven't you considered to have a datacenter hostin them (for around 400$/month?).
3074  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: February 19, 2013, 04:10:18 PM
I remember bitsynch saying clearly that they went on red when they started shopping, because they underestimated the shipping cost by 200$/unit.

Anyway, we will see soon. My guess is that they will meet their deadlines.

that anonymouse.org-proxying intentional? You might be generating quite a bit of traffic for them.

lol -- this is why free proxies are always doomed to snail speeds. And why it's called "tragedy of the commons". Grin

Anyway giving our info to one single big entity is certainly smarter than giving it to the various image hosting providers (i'm ironic, this is dumb stupid).

Are you taking to me?

Yes, but I wasn't replying to you. I was talking to all who thinks this is something other than a scam.

I have my doubts, but i think to have done my part screaming "this is a scam" already:

looks like they sold 518271 shares. IPO is now closed.
They bought themselves.
3078  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: February 19, 2013, 01:40:10 PM

I missed it. What are you talking about?

I have to wonder how do you justify your selves to associate with know thieves? Even giving them money. It's well documented that Dave IS associating with Tom, with all probability he is Tom. At least he IS actively PROTECTING Tom, if he wouldn't be, this case would be in the hands of the justice system. And HE would lead the charge in behalf of the customers. He isn't even willing to clear his own name.

Then take to an account that they at least falsify picostock user ID's to make it look more popular than it is. Why wouldn't they falsify that "stock" price? First user starts with id 19, next is somewhere over 26 and so on. Check it out your self: http://picostocks.com/users/view/1 <- change that number to check if valid user id.

Are you taking to me? Because I think you quoted the wrong guy.
The community knows who Tom is and Dave isn't the problem of the justice here. He asked the costumer to do a chargeback via the bank.

I admit that I tough about investing into this, but I will be happy to lose the train.
The only point in favour of this venture is the guy that made the fpga long time ago. Everything else seems just smoke.

As I get closer to taking 100TH online in June/July, I'll document it.  In person visits will be very limited as I want to keep security at a maximum.

Yeah, you've done that once before, documenting a scam with in person visits being very limited to keep the security of being able to push further scams in the future.

Except it doesn't work. Buzz off.
I missed it. What are you talking about?
