Sports results cannot be rigged, they are 100% provably fair because you can always verify the results in any news outlet online that caters to sports news. Also, you can watch the game, maybe some games could be rig but the final score or the result is the basis of whether you win or lose.

I think one has to understand the risk in gambling, particularly in sports betting so they know what they are doing.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: August 15, 2021, 12:45:55 PM
Do you guys think one day USA may ban cryptocurrencies? If yes what would happen? I think it's not totally impossible and that would be a global crash on prices.

All possibilities can happen in the crypto world, nothing is impossible here, but so far I have not seen any special ban from the USA, for the development of the cryptocurrency world or its prohibition.

But if this happens, the impact that cryptocurrency will experience is quite large, considering that is where the largest currency exchange process in the world, both digital money and paper money, and many conditions that occur there affect the crypto world today.

We don't want to see that happening, so let us not think it will happen. However, it's okay to prepare for the worst scenario but this should not end crypto as it's decentralized and people are using it. When China ban bitcoin, it affected the market in just a short period of time, but the market has recovered and has taken already to where we are now.
3063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 15, 2021, 12:20:57 PM

I lost my bet too, because I put my money on Moloney, I really thought that he will be extra motivated and do everything to win in the trilogy. But congrats to Franco, he become the underdog and we didn't see that he can adjust and really be focus and prove his critics wrong with a huge statement win without any controversies whatsoever.

Though I didn't bet, but I also see the same way. I was under the impression that Maloney will try to win back his title and force this into a trilogy.

But Franco showcase his talent and take this win to put that dot and conclude this match. He wins, and he earned now all the respect after that first fight that creates controversies.

Congrats to all takers who win after this fight, sweet as Franco was the underdog within this fight. He'll going to keep his belt and wait for another set of challengers. Congrats to him!

That fight was already a trilogy and the trilogy was already concluded with a unanimous win by Joshua Franco Franco.

You can see the complete list of fights of Joshua Franco here https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/727368....

If he was not headbutt in the 2nd fight, maybe he could have won the fight and we will not see a Trilogy anymore, but this is done.

To set a fixed percentage of your income for gambling is the most correct strategy to not lose control over your monthly budget. Of course for gambling addicted individuals it's not an easy thing to do, so in these cases I think they could ask for the support of a trusted family member to hold their income while they aren't able to manage it efficiently yet. This way their money will be safe and they don't risk going bankrupt.
This is what I will do if ever I become a gambling addict which if you ask me if ever it will happen then my answer is no. Even though I gambled but it doesn't make a gambling addict and I can control myself when gambling. Asking for support from family is quite effective to let your family manage your money when you can managed it efficiently. I remembered replying to a thread where I said that doing this kind of way to manage your fund and at the same time, you can only gamble the money you have and the rest is manage by your trusted family member.
For me I don't trust my money to other people, I manage my own money as I believe I'm mature enough to do so. Yes, I gamble, I mean a lot and I made some mistakes in the past so it makes me more matured especially in keeping my discipline, I learned the hard way short, but anyone can learn without losing a lot of money but just by learning from the experience of other people.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: August 14, 2021, 07:49:04 PM
While it is true that addiction can happen the majority of the gamblers can enjoy it without suffering any bad effects on their lives and if anything I will be more worried about people being addicted to their smartphones than gambling addiction as it is way more common, also in most countries people are considered to be adults at 18 years old so it is impossible to stop them from gambling if that is what they want to do, unless you propose that age is pushed even farther back which I do not think it is going to be very popular among the young population.
Could you please underline this claim with facts? This thread should be based on facts rather then based on beliefs. So do you know about a study stating that the majority of gamblers can enjoy it without suffering?

I do not have such statistics (although I would look at it with interest if someone provided the relevant research), but I can assume that if a significant number of gamblers suffered from their addiction, then gambling would be prohibited everywhere. By the way, would it be nice if you first clearly defined what you mean by suffering? The range of this concept is quite wide.

I agree with that, however, that number might only be a small percentage only if compared to the total number of people who are gambling, the reason why gambling platforms still exist and in fact, their industry is improving and continue to be one of the most lucrative business on earth. Gambling addiction is a gambler's fault, not on the gambling site.

As they say, the gambling industry is a billion-dollar industry and it's just amazing to see that despite the pandemic, the gambling industry is still very profitable. According to this reputable site, U.S. gambling revenue this year has broken the previous record.

3066  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 14, 2021, 07:16:25 PM
People are so excited about the prospect that bitcoin is bringing up these days. Especially with the prediction that bitcoin could rise to $100,000 over the next decade. Hence the reason why people are competing to invest in Cryptocurrencies. Because when the price of bitcoin soars, people who have coins are certainly happy, on the other hand, when the price goes down, not a few people see it as an opportunity or a loss.
some peoplr aware that the price of bitcoin could go up $50,000 when bitcoin price was only $500 including me.
but cant resist to go all in sell them all at $10,000 , and guess what..  we bought them all again at $20,000 but the price goes down to as low as $3k back in early 2020 , mathematically we are still in profit but shit happened and cant buy more when it was dropped to $3k , in the end situation forced to cut the lossess on $5k..

we can only watching now no matter it is a FOMO or whatever.. bitcoin will always worth to buy in any price if you are a believer.

Definitely because if you are just willing to hold, you will surely find an opportunity to sell at a good profit. Bitcoin hit $60,000 already, we thought that $100K is just too much for just a short period of time but we were surprised in the past bull run, so there's no reason to discount the success of bitcoin and we should still continue to be bullish so we will not be surprise again.
3067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are Airdrops and Bounties worth the work? on: August 13, 2021, 08:14:47 PM
No Doubt! I have seen many peope around me who had made  huge amount from bounties & airdrop, also some of them might not pay but some bounties like Amepay can give you huge profit, in my opinion if you have spare time then you should do it.
Amepay is a very good quality project. It paid all the payments to the Bounty Hunters. Student coin on the other hand is also a very good quality project but it did not pay the hunters in full. There will be two types of projects, good and bad. Those who have a lot of free time can participate in the bounty. Because bounty is a good way to make money without investing.
Those who care about their reputation are good projects, some just choose to scam bounty hunters despite the fact that they raised a good amount during the ICO or crowd sale, one example is Student coin who has been for so many years in the space, and when they finally reach a decent amount, listed in the good exchange, they just choose not to reward the effort of their advertisers, particularly the bounty hunters. With that action, they already ruin their reputation which is hard to restore anymore.

Leonard is staying with the LA Clippers.

NBA free agency 2021: Kawhi Leonard agrees to four-year, $176.3 million contract with Clippers

With this news, I still consider the LA Clippers to be one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship next season.
I think they just need to manage the minutes of Leonard like what Raptors did when during his time there, the "load management" is very helpful.
3069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 13, 2021, 06:20:05 AM

My bad, I should take that early odd which gave Casimero 1.44 than what it is now.

Just a 3% drop, still worth it if you really believe that Casimero would win this fight.

Still on stake, and nothing on Sportsbet yet.

No handicap betting yet, it might be available tomorrow since the fight is already in 2 days from now.

Waiting for the handicap betting as well, as I have said, ML is not that attractive and it the odds keeps on dropping, then surely not a good way to bet.

Speaking of handicap betting, what rounds you guys think that the fight will end? 8-9-10 for a Casimero win or 10-11-12 for a knock out?

I think it will be 4-5-6.  Smiley... I'm thinking of almost the same scenario against Tete where he knocks him out in round 3, I will give Rigo 3 more rounds though. Anyway, I don't really count it, it's just for fun as I don't underestimate Rigo, but if he will get caught by a clean punch, we know what will happen to him.

I'm disappointed because my bet was cancelled, I can't anymore bet on Pacquiao as an underdog as the current odds against Ugas, he is a heavy favorites.

Odds in sportsbet

Manny Pacquiao 1.26
Yordenis Ugas 3.45
3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 10, 2021, 12:51:34 PM
It's better like that, than you bet with choices that are not your own favorite, because usually, besides you have to research every skill that the player has, you also don't necessarily identify them as a whole. Betting with favorites, usually losing or winning is not the main thing.
But bettors sometimes don't really look at the eSport team only, but rather the sport itself. They love the sport itself, and hence know a lot about it and can easily identify the good teams from the bad teams, and in case of black horses, can easily identify if the match is going wrong or not. Casual people who watch sports can afford to do that, but I don't think in the first place they should even bet. Also you're betting since you're expecting them to win, (or to lose), it's literally the goal imo.
Sports betting is the most popular, but esport is also getting more popular, however, it will never come that esports betting will surpass sports betting in popularity as sports are regulated and it is more transparent than esports betting, just my personal thoughts.

The trades this season are so awesome, it feels like we will see another team being crowned as the new champion, the current Lakers line up seems to be good but there's a lot of things missing for them.

Here's the betting odds for NBA championship in the next season. Lakers is current 2nd to the nets as the favorites to win.

2022 NBA Title Odds
Odds as of July 21 via DraftKings

TEAM   ODDS
Nets   +210
Lakers   +450
Bucks   +800

The defending champ is +800, it's the same lineup, so I think they are undervalued here.
3074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 06:07:10 PM
The argument will be invalid because we can't compare Irving's experience to the case of Schroder. And their gap is very different. I don't really see how it ends up in the issue that Schroder doesn't like to play with Lebron so he turned down a decent offer.
There was no argument on the attitude of the players as we only gave our own opinion or speculation on that matter, they are the only ones who know what they think, our only basis is the story and reports we read online.

Let's stick to the main issue, and it was the report that Dennis Schroder declined the offer of the Lakers and you said it's because he wants more money but as per the report that I posted above and I like to post it again, Dennis Schroder denied that money is the main reason.

https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2021/6/29/22556754/lakers-free-agency-rumors-dennis-schroder-contract-demands-120-million-offer

In March, Schröder reportedly turned down a four-year, $84 million contract extension from the Lakers. Schröder denied that money was the reason his extension talks with the Lakers broke down in his exit interview in June, but recent comments from the Vice President of the German Basketball Federation, Armin Andres, suggest that was only partially true (h/t TalkBasket.net):

As you can see, Dennis Schroder already denied it, so there's no reason to spread the rumors that he wants bigger money.

This is going nowhere lol. I don't admire Lebron and that was out of the context to include that story in our discussion about Schroder turning down the offer. Like to have an exchange discussion without a hatred feeling toward a player.

I was replying to the comment of Baofeng, and you replied to my comment as well but you mix up your reply, and I think I was able to express my opinion on the comparison of the attitudes of the players and on the main issue which is money.

THIS>
Yeah, it seems that Dennis has some attitude to say the least to turn down the offer from Lakers, or he doesn't really wanted to play with Lebron or AD.
3075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 05:12:22 PM
Well, that's true but Tatum and Brown are not on the same level as Lebron who can demand on who's going to be his teammates and can even demand on who is going to be his coach. Maybe one of the reasons is he doesn't want to play with Bron of we called the king.

What's the connection of Lebron James can demand who's going to be his teammates or anything lol.
I'm comparing the stars of Celtics and Lebron James, because they have different kind of leadership and it will always affect the ego of their teammates if they feel they don't get the kind of respect they deserve. I just think that Lebron had some attitude problem too as back in Cleveland, there's a rumor that he influence the management to fired David Blatt, and have you wondered why Irving left Cleveland which makes the team shitty afterward?

here's the statement of Irving, and he doesn't want to play with Lebron anymore.

Quote
In July, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reported Irving requested a trade because he wanted to "play in a situation where he can be more of a focal point and that he no longer wants to play alongside LeBron James."

And would you still admire Lebron after reading this?

Pat Riley Reveals That LeBron James Wanted Erik Spoelstra Fired in 2010

He turned down the offer because he wants more money. That's no secret. If the offer somehow is $100M for four years, surely he will accept it. Do you really think there are teams who can offer that kind of money to him? Before landing at the Lakers, he is not even a special piece on OKC and only played 14 and 2 times as a starter respectively for 2 seasons.

Transferring to Celtics, he is only projected to have $9 to $10 a year. See what kind of offer he wasted on the Lakers if he sets aside his ego. Anyways, to make it more clear, let's wait for the final contract if ever Celtics will sign him.

I don't have to argue with that as there are two different sides of the story, and we don't know who is telling the truth.

When there's positive news, it makes the market bullish, and definitely people will buy.

With the big percentage of increase in 1 week, I can tell that there's a bullishness happening now, and bitcoin could easily jump up to $50k we already witness it happen before. Let's ride with the flow, who knows in just a very short period of time, a new ATH will be witness again.
3077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 04:19:38 PM
He is still young that time, at 27 years old now, if he can sign with the Celtics, he will be 29 years old after 2 years and a player is still at prime that time. Let's just hope that not only he will play an impressive seasons but he also need to be health,

Schroder at Celtics will be an orb-effect lol (Dota terms).

Basically, with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown as the leaders there, I hope he will cooperate. Remember that in Lakers, even Lebron James and Anthony Davis was there, he feels he can do anything. That mindset leads him to take down the Laker's superb offers on which is not a good idea.

He thought his value isn't worth $20M per year and basically want more money. Take note, he's not even an All-Star but still expecting some teams can offer more.

Yeah, it seems that Dennis has some attitude to say the least to turn down the offer from Lakers, or he doesn't really wanted to play with Lebron or AD.

But he will end up the in the same category with the Boston because they have their established stars and leaders in Tatum and Brown so I do hope that he won't be bringing that kind of attitude in the Celtics otherwise he could end up the same after one or two years with them.

Well, that's true but Tatum and Brown are not on the same level as Lebron who can demand on who's going to be his teammates and can even demand on who is going to be his coach. Maybe one of the reasons is he doesn't want to play with Bron of we called the king.
3078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: August 09, 2021, 03:22:40 PM
Well, then don't make suspicious transactions, when you put your money with the bank, you also need to comply with the rules so your money is safe, and as long as you will not get involved in illegal transactions, you should not fear your money.

As a citizen, we should be aware of the laws of our country, that's the best way of protecting our interest and to ensure our funds are safe.
We do not make transactions that violate bank rules and if that happens, the bank will ban the account until we confirm the information on the transaction data. Actually I don't want to save money in the bank because I am disappointed with bank employees who work unprofessionally and ignore their customers.

Not all banks have that kind of employees, most of the banks I think values their customers as they are the life blood of the business. If you are not satisfied with the customer service, you can find another bank to entrust your money, for sure in your location there are other banks that are operating.
3079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 09, 2021, 03:01:15 PM
The data security of Bitcoin is strong and they offer a greater level of security. People trust them they invest some amount of money as transaction. Bitcoin is most popular and wide. cryptocurrencies create trust is through a network-based known as a blockchain.Without this level of trust, bitcoin becomes worthless.Blockchains contain records of all the transactions that have ever taken this gives you high security to people and trust. This is a digital payment sector in this everything is going paperlesspaperless from investment to transfer money. This makes people interest to invest and have gain trust.

You don't use the word trust in a decentralized system because it cannot tamper, so it's 100% safe.

Unlike the centralized system where the banks are using, they call their business as a business of "trust", which we depositors or clients trust people to manage our funds and safe keep it, but people are greedy by nature, they can be corrupt and steal our money, blockchain can't do that, so it's the most reliable compared to the centralized system.
3080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 affect On Bitcoins on: August 09, 2021, 02:26:57 PM
All the effect I know is very positive, when covid-19 was discovered, there was a little panic in the space but eventually, it resulted to a more positive trend, that's because people now are more focus in the online world for whatever transactions they will do and they find crypto as a good investment.

Remember that the new ATH which was at over $60k was achieved during the pandemic, that explains how positive the effect is.
