3061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If the US disable bank transfers then all other region will be forced... on: March 01, 2021, 05:51:01 PM
If the US disable bank transfers then all other region will be forced...

If the US disable bank transfers then all other region will be forced to create its cryptocurrency or stablecoin as because the transfers will only be done using cryptocurrency. It will sky-rocket the price of Bitcoin. Do you think it will happen?

What is the context? Creating a cryptocurrency or a stablecoin is actually easier said than done! Why US will disable bank accounts?

If I assume that USA disables bank accounts or bring in absolute vigilance for whatsoever reasons, Bitcoin price will definitely appreciate because bitcoin's demand will be increased. That's simple math! But I still would like to know the context!
3062  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about Bitcoin today? on: March 01, 2021, 05:25:24 PM
I hope CMC isn't manipulating the result! This kind of sentiment tracker is a great tool to manipulate people and their mind which makes them believe into something that might not be the reality. But I hope CMC is carrying forward the reputation of Binance now and possibly the data is not manipulated.

So when I see 60% of the voters feel good about the correction, it shows a generally bullish view. That mean people are taking this correction positively.

Btw, is there any way to know how many people have voted in this sentiment tracker? This is a very important parameter for such trackers.
3063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling and Fantasy Sports - A Gap in the Market? on: March 01, 2021, 04:54:51 PM
See the List of the best Daily Fantasy Sports Sites here: http://100bookies.com/daily-fantasy-sports-sites-eng/

Op is seeking crypto enable fantasy gaming sportsbook. The list you have shared are fiat sportsbooks. I couldn't check draftkings though as it has blocked traffic from my country. But for remaining 4 sportsbooks, I didn't see any mention of cryptocurrencies.

I don't think we yet have a crypto enabled sportsbook which allows you to bet on fantasy sports. At least not that I am aware of. So possibly it is a gap in the market and hopefully we will shortly see some cash rich casinos leaping into the gap!
3064  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is developed nations asking money from other nations? on: March 01, 2021, 01:09:53 PM
That's the basis of a debt based economy. Developed nations lend money to the underdeveloped nations and this debt is considered as an asset for the lender nation while it's a liability for the borrower. So now if the borrowing country fails to repay the debt, that's when it brings a challenge to the lender country. No country can print money out of thin air. That needs to be justified by the money they have lended.

If any country fails to pay the debt, that when the economy and currency value of the lender country faces the turmoil. So far, US stayed at the top of the game and India is one of their important ally in Asian region. The amount is high but India has the capacity to repay the debt.
3065  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasinorank.com - Reviews and ranking of Crypto Casinos on: February 28, 2021, 07:34:16 PM
Hi everyone!

We are a newly launched review website of crypto casinos with an ambitious goal.

We want to review and rate every crypto casino.

Feel free to share your feedback in this thread. You can visit Bitcasinorank here https://www.bitcasinorank.com.

If you are a casino representative you can contact us via skype (live:.cid.3a446b478aadbd95) or email (bitcasinorank@gmail.com)

When Bitstarz is ranked at number 2, I seriously doubt the ranking methodologies of your website! Bitstarz is a known scam website with loads of negative reviews about them. Just do a little Google search and you will know it.

How are you planning to review the casinos? Are you just going to about your own experience or are you going to consider thw public reviews as well. I suggest you to visit the scam acquisition section of bitcointalk to keep yourself up to date regarding the newest scams!

3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: February 28, 2021, 12:30:16 PM
Lol! I don't know how people still think that an internet currency with only 21 million of total circulation can replace an age old system like banks! Those who believe in it, I would request them to wake up and face the reality. Banking system can not be replaced by bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency or even with all cryptocurrencies put together. It's just not possible!

Cryptocurrency will remain as a dominant player of a parallel economy. It's hard for it to become even mainstream!
3068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The good side of banning btc in Nigeria on: February 26, 2021, 07:09:20 PM
I believe favorable regulations will be good for any country and their citizens. Blanket ban will only create an underground market and people will pay zero tax on their black money. So banning a cryptocurrency is not a solution, rather it's an initiation of a much larger issue!

So I don't think banning cryptocurrency will bring in any positive impact on Nigeria. Because common people always try to stay within their legal limits. So no matter whatever free advertising it is doing for bitcoin, it will be mostly negative for the commoners.

But I sincerely hope these governments realize their mistake soon before it's too late!
3069  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase valued at nearly 77 Billion in private markets on: February 26, 2021, 03:58:41 PM
As many know, Coinbase has filed for an IPO date to be decided. Currently it is accessible only for large clients on NASDAQ private market. The current valuation for Coinbase is around 77 Billion, and it is not the biggest player there. If it were to succeed, it could bring other exchanges into the public offerings games.

Article here.

The global crypto market valuation is 1.4 trillion usd. How come Coinbase alone is valued at 77 billion!!!! I mean a single company based on crypto market is having a valuation of half of the entire crypo market. That's really strange!

I thought Binance is ever bigger company than Coinbase. I am really not sure what is the evaluation methodology here but it looks severely wrong!
3070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle of Competence on: February 26, 2021, 10:31:09 AM
This "circle of competence" is a real thing! For this same reason people like Warren Buffet have never invested in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency ever. Rather, he stayed back with his old school investment where he succeeded.

Same goes with an Indian billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala who is also known as Indian Warren Buffett. He has recently voiced his statement agaisnt bitcoin and urged Indian government to ban it. So for many people, Bitcoin is out of their circle of Competence.

But there are millions of other people who had adopted bitcoin for a better financial future. For me, it's within my circle of Competence since last few years!
3071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Lightning Network replace on-chain transactions sometime in the future? on: February 26, 2021, 05:35:48 AM
There is a high possibility of widespread adoption of lightening network, unless the high fees and network slowness is resolved once and for all. But miners won't be dommed even if most of the transactions move to off-chain because transaction fees is quite small compared to their mining rewards.

I think big companies like Binance, CMC, Coinbase should start educating people about LN. There is literally no awareness around LN which is really needed at this point of time. I don't think LN will replace on-chain transaction for good but the adoption should definitely be increasing!
3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust In-House Casino Competition? (Wager/Multiplier/Raffle) on: February 26, 2021, 05:21:27 AM
I don't think there is any way to verify the legitimacy of an in- house casino competition. Casinos can definitely create fake accounts and place them to the top of the leaderboard so that they don't have to actually pay out the prize money to anyone else other than an insider.

Holding raffles and lotteries in bitcointalk is still verifiable but nòt the in-house ones. That's why I prefer to enter only free raffles in online casinos where I don't risk loosing anything. But unfortunately, I have never won anything even in free raffles!
3073  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase has filled for going public on: February 25, 2021, 07:26:19 PM
Coinbase has been planning for it since last year. But they couldn't do it due to Covid-19 situation. But finally they have done it! It's a big news for the crypto market because coinbase is a company built around cryptocurrency that is going public. Probably it will attract more institutional interest around crypto, but that time will tell!

But I am happy because Coinbase can set an example to the world that cryptocurrency is a serious business and certainly not a threat to the economy.
3074  Local / India / Re: Whats happening with Binance/WazirX on: February 24, 2021, 06:28:24 PM
Well it's not WazirX alone. The same is happening with Coinswitch Kuber as well! It seems that there are some issues with UPI payment gateway and it's not something that these companies can do. I have been following Nischal's twitter account for this.

https://twitter.com/NischalShetty/status/1364177041969483776?s=19

So expect the matter to run for few more days before the banks can fix the issue!
3075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't be used for transactions? on: February 24, 2021, 11:21:36 AM
From what I've read, Bitcoin now charges high transaction fee and long transaction wait time so it can't presently be used:

a) for a conversion from Bitcoin to cash?
or b) purchases using Bitcoin? Huh

No system can be flawless and bitcoin is no exception! So the fees and waiting time are real challenges at this moment. And the fees is expected to go up in case the price goes up further. So we have something called lightening network. Which is a side chain transaction Facilitator and where you can send bitcoins using low fees and the transactions are usually instant.

I think, people should start using LN more and more now because of these challenges! Otherwise, you will have to constantly look at the mempool volume and time your transaction for the optimum period.
3076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not serving its purpose ANYMORE transfer waiting 48hr even paid high on: February 24, 2021, 07:28:00 AM
Hello,

I was made a transfer yesterday
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/c2f026d881fb1e927918f6dbb699636e4fc4591623ceadac80c09a1db07fc03b

I paid high fee:
Fee
$29.26
(176.366 sat/B - 44.091 sat/WU - 339 bytes)

But still didnt get confirmed.

Wasn't the purpose of bitcoins fast money transfer with appropriate transfer fees?

Well I empathize with you here! I too had faced Similar situation where I had paid big enough transaction fees and had to wait for 2 hours to get at least 3 confirmations. So bitcoin doesn't really look good as a currency at this point! I believe the situation would continue if the price of bitcoin continues to rise! There's no going back and we can't expect to have things any cheaper.

I think, it's high time we adopt LN! It's already live and LN enabled wallets are also available. Unless the confirmation time is reduced and the transaction fee becomes cheaper, bitcoin looks good for investment only!
3077  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: King Billy is stealing our money! on: February 24, 2021, 07:15:29 AM
I played today for hours on King Billy. did about 200 spins and nothing. WHats up with their RTP seems wrong cause it doesnt make any sense. Sent a complaint to King Billy. Dont recommend at all. Has this happened to more people?

Is there any other casino available that guarantees you a win in every 200 spins?? Show us and we will avoid it because that's an alarm for us! So you shouldn't have expected such things from any casino and not only the king Billy one!

Also it seems the parent company N1 Interactive Ltd. operates total 28 casinos in the market. Check the link below,

https://www.askgamblers.com/owner/n1-interactive-ltd-casinos

You acquisition seems pretty vague!
3078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, privacy coins are moving on: February 23, 2021, 07:46:29 PM
With the news from regulators, privacy coins were not pumping at all for a long time. XMR was stable around $140 for a long time, so does DASH and other privacy coins too but today it is totally the privacy coins time. Dash was pumped more than 80%, XMR 30% and ZEC close to that.
Is there any good news for privacy coin? Why suddenly it’s getting increased?

Privacy coins are our best bet for the future! Because many regressive governments are trying to impose a blanket ban on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. As we will see more and more countries joining the ban bandwagon, the demand of privacy coins will only increase! Many people will go against the law to keep on transacting in cryptocurrency even after such ban and privacy coins will be their primary choice!

So if you are planning for the future, privacy coins must be a part of your crypto portfolio!
3079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why ETH dropped 20% from the high peak? Anyone knows? on: February 23, 2021, 02:21:44 PM
From USD2000 dropped down to USD1400 for only 2 days?

Anyone knows what is happened?   Cry

It's not ETH only. All major cryptos have dropped!

It's not cryptos only. All major stock markets around the world have dropped!

So I assume it's a correction that we were expecting from a long time. Any increase without correction is fatal. So it's was anticipated already! I don't think anything special or out-of-the-box has happened!
3080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Instutional imvestors are Here wall street Style of action Now on: February 23, 2021, 11:56:39 AM
Thank You wall street!!
The instutional investestors thank You!!
Now its full market manipulation...

Not good like this!
Anyways I recomend people who lose to ask refund from instutional investors.

Now we all been manipulated.

I THINK I had enough of this Bitcoin porn!
Im done with crypto not interested about any digital money or crypto ill just stay with old money.

I doubt institutional players are manipulating the bitcoin market in any way! They are definitely are in position to manipulate the market due to their huge holdings but I don't think that anyone of them have sold anything from their coffers. So the question of market manipulation by the institutional investors can be factored out!

It's like owning a nuclear weapon! If you have it, you have the power but if you don't use it, bo one can blame you for mass murder! Same applies here as well!

Btw, the stock markets around the world is also falling since yesterday. Possibly something different is happening which we don't don't have an idea about!
