3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do poker and sports betting skills correlate? on: August 18, 2021, 09:15:08 AM
Today seeing the results of the Sportsbet.io ⚽ Brazil v Spain prediction game:

I noticed that all the guys in the top 3 were at some point participating in the Bitcointalk Poker Series. Now, it's not that a lot of people were participating there, somewhere around 30 ppl max, so I started wondering is there a correlation.

What are your thoughts on this, guys?

It's just an observation but we have no established fact that if you are good in poker you are good in sports betting, you get one scenario but one scenario cannot prove and establish the fact, it could be a coincidence, it needs a serious study to establish that, but poker and sports betting needs analysis that is the only correlation, but that does not establish a fact.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 18, 2021, 03:21:10 AM
Right now there are huge lists of them where you have a choice on whether you buy tokens on their early pre-sales or invest in the game hoping that you will get your ROI as fast as possible but there is no assurance about it. Is this gamble its true sense it has just some part where you need to take the risk but not that low odds where you can get your capital back?

I invested in Splinterlands and DPET but not to evolve my cards and pets I invested because I know that there will be demand in the market once the games took off, so in my part, I consider this gambling because I expect to profit from my investment if I am dedicated to leveling up my pets and playing to enjoy then it's more on a recreation for me, not gambling ort investment.

How crypto currency change your life?

For me, When I was started it seems that in crypto world is not an easy way to have profits because of an online procedure and no controls. But then again when I know how to handle specially on Trading or in bounty program and that's the reason I started  to earn.

I was into freelancing already when Cryptocurrency hit me, but I realize I can make a huge income by transferring here to the Cryptocurrency community than working on other industry, the bounties change my life for the better i even earn 10 times of what I'm making here than other industry and I also discover that Cryptocurrency is the next big thing in this generation.
3064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 15, 2021, 10:43:38 PM

That's easy to know if you are from the Philippines, but that view could just be a view if he will not work for it. While in boxing, he already has proven to be one of the best, in politics, it's a different story as I see a lot of criticism against him even being a senator.

Yes, he gets criticism but not from corruption, this criticism is politically motivated because his opponents cannot accept that a once poor guy whose only means of getting in a high position is through boxing is now vying for higher positions in the government, politics is very dirty in the Philippines, there's so many fake news and these fake news are not regulated.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always gamble with sense on: August 15, 2021, 02:00:07 PM
I have seen a lots of gamblers recently making consistent huge loses in gambling especially unregulated gambling which result is not even determined by the gambling sites or individual efforts but by nature like sport bets like football, Tennis, Basket ball etc. One could say that a bet is being manipulated especially for games which results are regulated by gambling sites and casinos.

Sport bets results are never regulated/determined by gambling sites but I still see individual gamblers making quite a huge losses in sport gambling which I believe it's abnormal to me and there is need to have a rethink after much losses.

Could this be normal for one to be having consistent losses in sport betting when result is not even determined by betting platforms? I have been reasoning of what could be the reason of such losses or could it be as a result of less knowledge in a particular sport.

There's really nothing abnormal about it, it happens even the favorites to win the game suffers losses and we all know gamblers love to gamble with the odds for huge winning percentage, whether you are playing luck-based games or sports betting doesn't mean that you are guaranteed to win, sometimes there is manipulation in the games and sometimes there are games that we didn't expect to happen, we have to accept the reality of gambling, you can't have it all the times.
3066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 15, 2021, 12:24:28 PM
They made their stand and it's their platform there are so many scam gambling sites in the industry like Betking and 1xBIT they just want to protect their platform, but when it comes to impact on Crypto gambling, I don't think there will be any, the Cryptogambling industry is doing great, it's only a matter of time before all gambling site on the internet adopts Cryptocurrency, and there's a lot of online platform and venues to promote gambling sites as affiliates.
3067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anything make you stop gambling on: August 14, 2021, 08:14:58 AM
If you run out of money and your wife is leaving you because you are addicted, that could possibly stop you from gambling but if these two can not stop you from gambling, then you are on your way to desperate times of your life, there should be a limitation and you should have a point of control where you can say that enough is enough, if you cannot do that, then you are in really big trouble.
3068  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stay away from greedy free Bitcoin offer through spam mail. on: August 13, 2021, 02:49:03 PM

Another tip I would like to add, if you can, try to make your email name longer than expected, not a lot of spams have plagued me besides those sites that I know that I've used it, I don't know if it works.

It will not work I have a very long email address and it's still getting a lot of spam emails they just copy-paste these emails even if it's short or long in their database, and they are not sending it manually, they are sending it by bulk so don't trust just because you have a very long email address, you're not going to get spam emails, the best option is not to open emails coming from spam.
3069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 13, 2021, 12:40:31 PM
Many boxers are going to envy Ugas for this fight he is in a position where boxers are only dreaming to happen and that is to fight the 8 division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, the two Garcia Ryan and Mikey are obsessed to fight him and so are the many fighters, Manny ended up with Ugas, I'm sure will give all his best to beat Pacquiao.
3070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 13, 2021, 12:03:15 AM
I don't see anything wrong with it, they are playing sports and they want to excel on it, so I don't see anything ethical on it, betting is a form of support, if we are betting on them we are supporting their cause and their efforts to excel and win their respective matches, I don't see anything wrong on it, we have to treat them just like how we treat other normal athletes.

Poly Network Hacker Returns $342 Million
The largest crypto hack in history might have a happy ending after all as Poly Network sees more than half of the stolen funds returned.

https://decrypt.co/78364/poly-network-hacker-says-exploit-was-just-for-fun
Poly Network Hacker Says Exploit Was Just ‘For Fun’
The Poly Network hacker denies evil intent and says they wanted to teach the project a lesson.

I guess they are already rich or they are not really criminals because they cannot pull out this kind of deed, it saves the market from dipping, this kind of news is what makes the market dip and what makes the market grow, I hope criminals will learn from this one, that the whole community will go after them and make them pay if they continue these activities.
3072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Gaming on: August 12, 2021, 02:03:21 PM
With the development of more gaming sites with more consensus to reward gamers so many of the NFTs will in the future look into this new trend that allows users to play computer games and get rewarded without having to stake money, they get paid for the skills in playing computer games.

So far this is the trend because of the success of Axie, developers are always following or imitating successful projects and because of this it created an industry within Cryptocurrency, we now have Cryptoblade, DPET Binamon among others who know there will be a new market for this in markets aggregators like Coinmarketcap or Coingecko.
3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 12, 2021, 12:05:51 PM

That's on me, thought the box meant to duke it out in the octagon. Yes you're right that Ortiz can't bulldoze but I think the punches that he will deliver is going to be felt by Silva given that he is a bruiser.

Anderson is so good at ducking and avoiding getting hit, he is good for boxing compared to MMA where you employ wrestling, I consider Silva the favorite on this fight, because of his winning against Chavez JR. but he is fighting Ortiz who also has powerfull punches, Silva should have turned boxer earlier in his fighting career because he is good at it.
3074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why be allowed to create tokens with the same names? on: August 12, 2021, 11:17:12 AM
I received a lot of fake tokens through airdrops these are tokens are created to deceive investors, if you are a true Cryptocurrency investor you know that the only way to differentiate from a real to a fake one is through their smart contract, because the smart contract is the issuer of the coins if the coin was created through a smart contract, if not download the official wallet from the coin's official site.
3075  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Largest DeFi Hack: $611 Million Stolen from Poly Network on: August 12, 2021, 11:04:37 AM
there's an update about the hack. according to the article below the hackers have decided to return the money. looks like the hackers had no choice but to return the funds since they have been Identified. I guess they think that cooperating and returning the funds would reduce whatever sentence they would get.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/cryptocurrency-poly-network-hackers-return-funds-defi-ethereum-110935552.html

They are identified and they cannot escape persecution
Quote
"Law enforcement in any country will regard this as a major crime. and you will be pursued," the company said in its letter
. they are good at hacking but they seem to be naive on how to escape like bad criminals, this is bad news to future criminals but can they really get these criminals if they want to get away, I've seen movies where criminals are good at changing their identity.
3076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 12, 2021, 10:38:23 AM

I don't really get the conspiracy theories. This would've been by far Spence's biggest paycheck and he was favored to win. Any top welterweight would kill to be in a position to fight the current version of Pacquiao. We have already seen Spence wearing an eyepatch from having surgery on Wednesday morning. It was reported that this injury was discovered by the Nevada commission. I don't think they would allow themselves to be used as cover for Spence if he was ducking.

I don't think there's a conspiracy theory here, if there is a fight Spence would like to make is the Pacquiao match, because every boxer in that weight category wants to fight Pacquiao for money and legacy, Spence is very much capable to beat Pacquiao and establish his legacy, there's no reason why he should not let this chance to slip, he is already in training it's frustrating for a boxer to go on hard training and the match discontinued.
3077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 12:36:24 PM

Ugas record is not that bad at all , and what amazed me like what you said is the idea that Ugas seems to be ready and trained to take over for Spence position >  Grin

this fight must happen now because the Philippine election is near to come and Manny will be busy campaigning for sure.

The fact that he is holding a belt and he is one of tough fighter in that division it's still going to be an interesting fight I have seen his fight against Porter which I believe he won but it was given to Porter, it's already in the past and Ugas could make history if he beats Pacquiao, Yeah Manny to fight and wins so he can go home and become a hero again and start his campaign, is going up in a much higher position so he needs this win.

What rules broken? You are total broken in your mind.
I have bet regular on your website, win little , and you blocked my account.
And OK! You blocked my account, you can take the winnings, but on your terms and conditions is writen you giving the deposited sum of money to costumers if you think winnings are unregular.
In my case, tehey are regular, and you can see from my pictures. YOu are total wrong But if you want to take my winnings, TAKE IT! But give me my deposited money because they are my lst money in my pocked!!!!!

I am not a member of the 1xBit team and I cannot help you in solving this case. I just have their ad in my signature. Soon someone from the support will answer your post and help you explain it. I wrote about breaking the rules of ToS because such information appeared in the email from 1xBit. So I wonder how these rules were broken.

If you are not part of the team, then let the support or the official representative here answer these issues if they are not good at defending themselves on the many accusations how can you, when you are just wearing their ad in their signature, don't go extra miles it's hard to defend a project who is not good in solving issues, if this is a reputable casino I can vouch and ask for patience but unfortunately they are not.

Bad first impressions. Tried accessing the site multiple times and it says 'This site can't be reached'. You guys presented your site recently in this forum and it's already down. Thought of checking it out thoroughly, but am unable to do so.

Was impressed by the ANN and the positive feedback left by some of the posters, but am disappointed by the site itself.

You are right, test the performance of their server and webpage and this is their score, there are enormous payload networks if they want to improve their visitors and users experience they should address these issues, I am impressed with the design of the website, they should launch marketing here in Bitcointalk like a signature campaign for more visibility to be competitive.

3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 08, 2021, 12:36:02 PM

I think this fight is already cancelled.

And I agree with Reynoso, it's better for Canelo to unify all the belts in 168, not sure who is the last man to do it, but it will be the best interest for Canelo. If he fights Caleb Plant and then his belt, then he can go as high as light heavy weight again. But not sure if there will be money on that division because Bivol or Beterviev is not a US household name. Maybe he can defend his belt against David Benavidez who will be fighting against Uzcategui on Aug 28.

The thread should be close because it will not materialize, Plant should take yes on all of Canelo's demands he is the challenger he can do the same if he beats Canelo, Canelo is the superstar here and holds the majority of the title, although Plant is also the champion it's a fact that Canelo is the one that will attract more money on this fight, he takes this fight beat him and then he can command big fights on his next fights and he will line himself as one of the best.
