3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: October 02, 2020, 05:52:31 PM
The prediction and bet on the match are more than obvious.

Lakers to win, good luck!

Yeah, that's true. Its obvious that is why they put handicap there.
ML is now 5.00 at Sportsbet.
It's a little tempting but I still have doubts.
Maybe this will increase more before the game. I will just wait for that.

For now, my betbuilder is full of players stats. Like..
LBJ 8+ rebs
Herro 14+ pts
LBJ 8+ assists
more...
I managed to make 4.75 odds.  Grin
3062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 02, 2020, 04:46:20 PM
Remember how coach Kerr become successful sharing he's talent with players who have the same types of his game, I'm interested how he'll be able to coach Kyrie and KD both are offensive but if Nash able to turned both stars to pass out and rotates the ball, that's really an interesting factors.

Yeah, that's a good explanation about it. Comparison with Steve Kerr.
Better, Steve Nash is a 2-time Season MVP. So he might really pull that off.
I am not against it, I am just hearing a lot of analysts making it as a big issue.

NBA will surely do something here, game 1 was a boring game but in game 2, I expect it a close game to give the fans some thrill they didn't see in game 1.
Could the thrill be coming from letting the Heat win even with all the injury reports?  Wink I will bet on the Heat then.
3063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump gets Covid and we Crash? on: October 02, 2020, 03:47:07 PM
Stocks will fall but not bitcoin.
They might be scared. You know who are "they".  Grin

If he dies, what happens? Not that I wish for him to die even though he is racist.
He owns a large portion of different investments and businesses. That can be a crash.
Panic might be happening out there but not with Bitcoin.

Jimmy Kimmel might be laughing too hard now.
3064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 02, 2020, 10:24:17 AM
Speaking of coaches being hired.
Do you guys remember the press interview of Commissioner Adam Silver before the Lakers vs Heat Game 1?
They are fighting white supremacism and this includes coaches that are being hired.

Recently, Steve Nash being hired to coach Brooklyn Nets became a controversy.
Now, there are only 4 black coaches in the league. Minus Coach Doc Rivers.
Yeah, team owners and managers cannot be controlled by the commissioner but I think he still has a say to this issue.

Who's left?

Dwane Casey - Pistons
J. B. Bickerstaff - Cavs
Lloyd Pierce - Hawks
Monty Williams - Suns

No disrespect to Steve Nash, but there are still good black coaches on the line and yet they hire those without experience.
3065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie's guide to avoid ICO Scam on: October 02, 2020, 06:51:42 AM
Isn't it too late to provide these tips?
DeFi had been popular and most hyped now and I think investors are already forgetting about ICO's.
I did.
They became just history for me.
Although I still see some good projects on that platform, it's difficult to risk money there by now since they might not reach the right cap to continue.
3066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: October 02, 2020, 03:40:00 AM
Lebron is the best one out on the court all playoffs long.  He controls the game and the tempo like no one else can.  Next I dont see a huge drop off where its not possible, Lebron still has a couple top dog years ahead of him.  He will be in the top tier of every category nba has (thats positive) when its all said and done.  Will be a top 5 player of all time when its done.

He is and there is no doubt about that.
But people age. When that happens, your bones gets weaker making you prone to more injuries.
Taco Tuesdays don't make you any younger.  Grin
What I am pointing about is the 30 playoffs triple-doubles only which might not be reachable next year.

+9.5 for the Heat, will it continue to rise? or what will happen if Dragic and Bam turns out available in game 2?

What's your lean in game 2 guys? Total and point spread...........
I'll take the underdog Heat with a good ML. As of now it's 4.90. They might want to push it higher.
Over 216.5 is still a good bet with the Lakers having a momentum next game.
3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If all BTC Gets Bought Up? on: October 01, 2020, 05:34:43 PM
No worries, at some point they will sell.
That's the time you can enter to buy some.
Also, I doubt that will happen.
If more bitcoin is bought and the price soars because of demand then it becomes a risk.
I don't think whales would enter that kind of risk with lesser profit in the short run. Worse, they end up losing more.
3068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: October 01, 2020, 03:46:33 PM
They will loss Dragic in this series, pretty bad for the Heat, they got dominated in game 1, I don't know if they can still bounce back, but I hope so.
So game 2, as the line is only -7 for Lakers, I think everyone will be jumping early on the Lakers.

Trivia, Lebron almost got his triple double in this game again, just short 1 assist.

Yeah, and he needs 3 more to tie Magic with most triple-doubles in a playoff.
I don't think he can still do that next year. It will be now or never.
If they will go for a sweep then he better makes that triple-double the next 3 games.
I don't think it is much important though than winning the Finals.  Grin

Sadly, we might not see a better Finals with all the injuries.
But I am still hoping Coach Spoelstra has something to counter the Lakers.
3069  Economy / Economics / Re: Big in Japan: giant Gundam robot makes its first moves in Yokohama on: October 01, 2020, 10:01:13 AM
The launch party was successful (keeping COVID-19 social distancing restrictions aside), there was an audience there...
~image
Damn, that was really something. I cannot even find the right word to describe it.

For some days, I hope they can also create a mask for Gundam to wear.
Just a reminder to everyone to keep wearing their mask everytime they will go outside their home.
Some teens are irritated wearing a mask, that act may affect those idolizing this figure.  Grin

Alright!
leea-1334 and Maus0728
Thank you very much for bringing that up.

I never looked at my referrals tab as in "never".
Just now. I was shocked at how much it is. I mean, I can't believe it for a freebie by Yolodice.

These are all mine right?

3071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: October 01, 2020, 03:48:35 AM
Edit: I just tried to parlay a Betbuilder, but it's not allowed  Cheesy

Haha  Grin
That's already like a parlay man, and you want to parlay the parlay?  Grin See? Even understanding the sentence is difficult.
I think you won your first bet builder if I am not mistaken.

Now, what is next for the Heat? Too many injured players.
Butler with his foot. Bam with his shoulders. (I think it is his wrist at the game against the Celtics)
Then, Dragic. Oh, this ain't looking good.

I will still put bets on them if they put a huge amount of ML.
3072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain and Bitcoin adoption globally. What is the cause of the slow pace. on: October 01, 2020, 01:42:04 AM
Blockchain and Bitcoin has been on for more than a decade (according the statoshi's white paper) and up until this moment, there is still struggle in the global community in terms of adoption. Countries like India once placed sanctions on the technology and later lifted it. Russia made laws to govern and regulate the operation of the technology in a bid to take advantage of the solutions it proffers and loads of other stuff ongoing in different locations but still we still have a very slow paced increase in growth and devlopment and acceptance. What could possibly be the reason and what are the ways to further create awareness and global acceptance.
Unfortunately the common people still consider cryptos as virtual or internet money which is backed by nothing and may collapse anytime, untill people get more awareness about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies and the negative perception goes away the mass adoption will still remain a distant thing.

That's correct but how could that negative perception fade away if more projects are being built that are just scams.
ICO, IEO, and now DeFi.
If this continues, I don't see a better future for other crypto currencies that are being created in the blockchain.

I think that is the culprit for the slow pace and merchants having trouble with the volatility of any coin that is created.
3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: September 30, 2020, 05:37:10 PM
If you create a business, isn't profit the first thing that will come to your mind.
The same goes for this gambling businesses. There is always the house edge and profits come from that.
It ain't really that huge.

But, I would still prefer the trusted ones.
You might see one that is super fair but how long could they stay?
A worse scenario is losing all your deposits rather than losing it while playing the game.
3074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 30, 2020, 03:55:02 PM
Despite that I'm rooting for the Heat to win the finals, I'm backing the Lakers to cover and secure game one,

I've got Lakers ML and over 217.5 @ 2.75

Lakers -5

and Tyler Herro Total 3-Points made Over 2.5 @ 2.0 Odds
You should try the betbuilder.  Grin

I am with Heat here.
Miami Heat + Over 217.5 + Duncan Robinson 3 three pointers + 8 rebounds for Bam Adebayo.
My first time and I hope it will be a beginner's luck.
Good luck to everyone.
3075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin and bitcoin high transaction fees on: September 30, 2020, 10:04:50 AM
If that's the case then stick with the old one.
Don't force yourself to make transactions where you will pay more.
In this pandemic, every penny will count.

Comparisons. Money remittances also put fees whenever you send money. Like 3-5% of how much you will be sending.
The good thing about using bitcoin for that is the fees won't get any higher. You send thousands of dollars and the fees could still stay at 10-30 USD.
Bulk transactions are Bitcoin's upper hand.
3076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: September 30, 2020, 08:39:34 AM
Almost 99 percent of DeFi projects in bounty section are scam, you can say I have no prove but this is just my normal thought.
99 percent maybe too much. 80 percent should be enough to stay away from it.  Grin

1. Why are almost all bounties released today DeFi projects?
Because it is the new hype.
2. Most of these projects have no information about team
( They are complete anonymous)
Some do, and some don't. They are trying to be like Satoshi.
3. Majority of them are rushed, you can judge merely looking at website domain and designs
Oh! That's one good point.
4. There are some that based on Uniswap wannabes
Mimic. Well, ain't it all already a mimic of the ICO projects. They are just repeating it.
You can't compare these projects with real DeFi projects like introduced bounties like Oikos, Lattice, DIA, and few others, my advice is to be extremely picky after doing research
First rule. DYOR.
3077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 30, 2020, 07:20:14 AM
I just see now, sportsbet has a new feature which I'm sure you will like guys.

check them out!

Oh! So that is what it meant by betbuilder.
Thank you for bringing that up.
I saw that last night and the Multi Master update.

Now we could do parlays in one game? I have been looking forward to that since I have lots of bets in just one game especially player stats.

Tested it.
Alright! That is one cool update.
3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 29, 2020, 05:34:29 PM
Yeah but that's not really my point. My point is that championships are won by superstars (yes of course there are always exceptions but for the most part this tends to hold true).  That said I'm probably the biggest Andrea Iguadala fan here on bitcointalk being from the same hometown as Andrea and being the same age I used to watch him play against my high school/buddies and just absolutely destroy us.  He might be the worst Finals MVP ever but man he has had one hell of a career.  I hope you hit on your bet.

That I don't agree much.
Superstars are a big plus but it is still won by a team play.
Remember, GSW ain't a superstar team when winning their first championship. I don't even know Draymond Green or Klay Thompson back then.
Then, there is Pistons as a good example with Billups, Rip, Prince and the Wallace's.
Another is the Mavs finishing the 3 musketeers of Miami (Lebron, Wade and Bosh).  Grin

I see a chance for Miami here but they will need to be ready by a bombard of offense and defense. Choking will be the reason they will be swept. Nothing more.
3079  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: September 29, 2020, 04:02:40 PM
Somehow it gave me goosebumps.

It is still way different when people are serving you.
You get smiles or sometimes you get an angry bellboy.  Grin
Human interaction is still the best or we will end up just like these robots without emotions even in the slightest things.
I hope I am dead when that happens.
3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 29, 2020, 02:39:42 PM
Game 1 NBA Finals, who is riding with the current trend?

Heat vs Celtics and Lakers vs Nuggets series are mostly a high scoring game, so I'm thinking I'll be following that in game 1 of the NBA finals.

You think it's still gonna hit? Grin

Even with Caruso and Green defending Robinson and Herro they will find a way to shoot those threes.
So yes, I might also bet with Over 217.5.

I might not combine the bets from hereon. It's just too unpredictable for now and both teams are doing great in the defensive and offensive zone.
Put a little bit for the Heat and more at Over 217.5.
Might also add some bets for player stats again.
