In my own opinion the altcoins that are the next big thing, aside from ethereum and litecoin, is the waves i know that in 2018 or in the future waves will surely come up in ethereum, i know that the price of waves will rise very high, and komodo is also the next big thing.

Yes 2 promising projects I agree. Thanks for voting

Need Chinese translation

Actually yes I am sure we will need this for many things once we get going... websites, chinese thread etc etc.

Keep checking back when we get rolling Smiley

3072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 14, 2017, 01:56:19 AM
Maybe do yourself a favour and check the homepage... where the next distribution date is listed: https://byteball.org/#dist

Yes... it really is not until March 2018

please take note of the follow:
Quote
The 11th round is tentatively scheduled for the full moon of March (Mar 2, 2018 at 00:51 UTC). The balances will be snapshotted at the time of the first Bitcoin block after this date, and rules for this round are as indicated above. Depending on the progress of other distribution methods, this round can be postponed or even canceled.

That's a long time to wait!

Why?

We had one distribution per one month before.

Yep but sadly we can't afford that now unless those other big icos return the byteballs to tony to give out to those who bought bb under than premise.

Anyway it was just creating expected dumps each time.

Still i don't think anyone should change the rules or implied rules that induced people to invest.

I say tony ch locks down 50% of what is left into a multi sig dev fund not just controlled by one person with full ledger

then gives the rest out to byteball loyal holders minus those of exchanges and the other ico wallets who had their noses in the trough enough already.

Tear the band aid off already and give investors confidence that no  one person could press the total self destruct  button at any time.

I guess perhaps spread the witnesses out a bit perhaps even creating a few more

Reduce the units to mega bytes for all the noobs who love snapping up the cheap deals.

Let's get someone who knows how to network and sniff around influential people and large companies. Let's push out a small referal scheme for signinig up the mom and pop veggie stores (grass roots of course are needed so no disrespect to small businesses obviously but investors get into a frenzy over sony microsoft so give them what they want) etc so tony just gets on with coding out the bb core feature set.

It's strange because 2 of the best projects on this board have such tech skilled super devs who seem to be unable to see how to play the crypto game here and keep getting shafted by inferior projects.

Good for accumulating more cheap I know but sometimes you just need the word out that this is a real competitor in the arena we are in.

3073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 14, 2017, 01:45:52 AM

also when are we changing to megabytes or even bytes on exchanges as the unit? or is this not happening?

Whom are you asking here? Go and ask exchanges if they are going to change units or not.

The dev team decides the units not the exchange I believe.

You believe in wrong

Quote
The exchange does not decide to just call it gbytes. If we want it changed to mbytes then under the current model only tonych himself can request the change.

Yes, this is exchange who decides what to list and how to list. Tonych has nothing to do with this.

I still have to beg to differ sadly. If tony wanted it called mbytes it would be called mbytes and instruct 3 decimal places added up front to it now.  Of course if the exchange said no then you could have a point.

Usually the exchanges will do as tony asks for a price.

Without him asking it will not be done. I don't expect just any one can instruct them to change ticker and decimal places.

I also doubt any exchange would just take it upon themselves to do this.

Why etherium is not there in the poll? I think etherium is ome of the project.
However, i have 1 choice in the poll that is waves. It will grow in the future amd exist. Now the price is increasing.

Please read the OP more carefully. Anything in the top 10 is already a big thing.

However, thank you for explaining you voted for waves many others seem to like it also. To me it is probably already quite a big thing though and it would not surprise me if it were in the top 10 in the near future.

Byteball and waves pulling out quite vast leads .... I wonder if they will be the next big things or if some of the others will return greater gains than them from this point out. Be interesting to see.

3077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FRAUD WARNING: Bitstamp is holding my money hostage and ignoring me for 14 days on: December 13, 2017, 03:10:44 PM
Bitstamp is located in Bulgaria and I think they bank there too.

Bulgarian banks blocked all exchanges. See

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7i6eiq/banks_in_bulgaria_blocked_accounts_of_all/

I expect Bitstamp is scrambling to find another european bank to deal with them.

I don't think that is true is it?

their bank is not there i am sure it estonia or somewhere like that.

Meet new merchants in our cashback program:

Stardelta Audio Mastering, a Grammy winning music studio https://www.stardeltamastering.com

Yamauchi-Dou, a store in Japan https://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/yamauchidou/

should we not be consorting with sony and fujitsu though... I mean these little businesses are good but I do think it looks a bit small fry compared to what the competition are going after...

also when are we changing to megabytes or even bytes on exchanges as the unit? or is this not happening?

I would have though instead of cash back we could use some of the huge pot of bytes saved by no longer distributing as planned for some marketing team or networking team?
3079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COVAL] Circuits Of Value - Tokenize everything [LOYYAL] on: December 13, 2017, 02:57:29 AM
Emblem is main feature on what COVAL team is taking chance and they have some secret sauce to make it successful. It is very powerful tool and all the game is revolving now around this. By the end of year some alpha version which will be close testing on selected testers basis will be factor of lifting up this again.

If it's that valueable why did it go from 140 to 40 satoshi? Why did it loose 100SAT???

Every coin has dumped hard from peak in sats terms. ALthough yes this is a gamble coin no doubt the devs are kind of in their own matrix making cool stuff that as yet nobody has shown much interest. Hopefully it will all come together soon in one big master plan. Or it will just vanish into a reality you will not be privy to. Who can say with this strange but interesting journey
