3061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptos Are Exploding Higher, Bitcoin Up Over $1,000 In Minutes on: November 23, 2019, 06:13:51 PM
We're at the bottom of the downtrend channel, so it looks that there should be some resistance and we 'should' bounce back up with the closing of the current CME future contract. Let's pray for the whales.

There wasn't much resistance on that 7600 level but it's much stronger on 7000 and will be even stronger if we fall to 6000. Textbook capitulation would be a long wick down that is followed by a move up of equal or higher power making a red and a green candle next to each other.

If you look at 1d the green candle is still forming but looks small and weak which could mean that it's not the low people were waiting for. Anything can happen because 3000 was also not a textbook one.
3062  Economy / Speculation / Re: trump is the cause of drop prices bitcoin on: November 23, 2019, 05:59:16 PM
It's more of the combined effect of Libra being denied, companies that were planning to invest in libra resigning, China that was supposed to open to Bitcoin not really opening up and instead threatening some rogue exchanges. TA was also against us after a big rally to 14 thousand.

I wouldn't blame Trump for it but I remember when he was elected people said that he's going to be open to Bitcoin because he's a businessman and one of his senators was pro bitcoin. You can see how that went.
3063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin never goes past 5-10KUSD again, what is the best action? on: November 22, 2019, 09:45:15 PM
It would mean that it's dying.

Bitcoin can have only 2 ways to go. Adoption and acceptance and this means price going up or it will be overtaken by something better and go towards 0. It will never reach 0 but it can reach 100 dollars or something like that. If it goes very low like below 1000 dollars you can as well sell because it means people are abandoning this project.

It's not going to happen overnight so don't worry. You're going to have years to exit.
3064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is dumping? on: November 22, 2019, 09:39:25 PM
I think it is dropping because right now we are at the exact "nothing fun happens" stage, we have no Bakkt this time,

We have Bakkt but it seems bakkt is not backed! They are going to launch cash settled contracts. They were supposed to be the only platform with bitcoin futures but that doesn't work for them so they are going to launch another CME: futures with no backing. It's probably because they aren't making money on their backed contracts.

Bitcoin is falling because of technicals and because of FUD. Great mix as always.
3065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptos Are Exploding Higher, Bitcoin Up Over $1,000 In Minutes on: November 22, 2019, 09:29:08 PM
The thread has its initial post almost a month ago, by that time there is more growth in an unexpected way happened. Now the price has fallen over $1000 in few days of time. Now to what margin this gonna fall back is completely unpredicted. Maybe after correction price will get to make everyone happy through some unexpected changes in price.

It fell much more than 1000 only today it lost 800 but does it mean anything? We are still going up in the long run and the long term trendline remains at 6 thousand.

Short term price has a meaning only to traders. Many people don't have any coins on exchanges and don't care what the price today is. Next week is going to be different and next year you won't even remember this small panic.
3066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bobby lee predicts Bitcoin price to reach $1 Million in a Decade on: November 22, 2019, 09:18:28 PM
There is no guarantee that Bitcoin would exist in a decade. Most speculations and predictions are not really that, but mere guesses. The motive behind it is what I'm yet to understand. An outrageous, imaginary figure for an abstract time in the future (when most would have forgotten about the guess) does not sound like the right thing to attract a new user or cause FOMO. Media attention is the most plausible reason

Would you sell the same about gold? Maybe it won't exist in a decade?

You can see that we're capitulating again when people are bashing bullish predictions. I agree that anything can happen but bullish predictions are as viable as bearish ones.
It's very possible that Bitcoin will be worth a lot of money because it's better than gold. The only advantage of gold is that it's much older.
3067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of you Bitcoin Hodlers are mentally ill - *Must Read! on: November 22, 2019, 08:49:38 PM
A newbie is trolling and you are all playing his game.

Here's OP's story

Read about Bitcoin millionaires
Bought on exchange when he saw big green candle to 10 thousand
Then it went to 9 but he didn't do anything because it was moon time. 20 thousand in December just like in 2017. Grin
Then it went to 8 he got angry and sold it all
Now it's a ponzi scheme and we are all stupid.
3068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Complete KYC to get Ultra coin tokens on: November 22, 2019, 08:42:23 PM
Why would you sell your information for some token that most people don't know and don't care about? There are exchanges and platforms that offer you real money like bitcoin or fiat for KYC and you know how much it will be from the start.
Quote
All you have to do is complete your KYC to get free Ultra coin tokens (UTL)

On the site it says:

Sign up and verify your email to get a reward of 1500 UTL
From 01 to 31 December 2019
Sign up and verify your email to get a reward of 1000 UTL
From 01 to 31 January 2020
Sign up and verify your email to get a reward of 800 UTL

Verify your email not KYC
How much are they paying for KYC? I'm not going to do it but all of it is probably going to be worth $5 if you're lucky Cheesy
3069  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to PANIC! on: November 22, 2019, 08:26:34 PM
People always use to forget this popular saying: "Red is green!"
I see every price dip as an opportunity and even if I don't buy during the dip, I am not foolish enough to sell.  The price is around $7k, so? At least it's way better than what it was at the beginning of the year. I guess what contribute to those panicking is that the year is ending, so they expect a price pump. They are forgetting it doesn't always work that way.

Because there's no free fall just like there's no pump without a correction. We went up like crazy to 14 thousand from below 4 and now we're dumping towards 6. It's like a zigzag pattern.

People say bitcoin is bearish and I disagree. We should say as it is bitcoin is bearish short term. This is a good moment to buy or to exit the market and that's what smart money is doing. Not trading trying to buy the bottom but exiting to fiat or stable coins. They will soon come back when the see at least one full green day.

3071  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 3 sentence or Less- Post your Fundamental Analysis of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2019, 11:15:11 PM
1 Bitcoin is the first decentralized currency in the world and the first and only that cannot be artificially inflated.
2 Usually things that are a technological breakthrough are valuable. Think of phones, computers even smaller think of when they added a camera into a phone. Who now has a phone without a camera? Who is going to have a bank account without a crypto wallet as safe storage?
3 Bitcoin offers services to everyone. It doesn't discriminate like banks and paypal.
3072  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 21, 2019, 10:56:28 PM
Technically speaking you can make a similar decentralized service but if you'r asking whether youtube itself can become decentralized the answer is no.

Why would they want that? They want full control and they already have it and are making money through it. They will never willingly decentralize their company because that would mean stepping away and giving it to the users.
3073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Digital Currency Will Allow Consumers ‘Controllable Anonymity’ on: November 19, 2019, 08:49:11 PM
Controllable anonymity = fake anonymity. It's like democracy in North Korea where people can vote but the only name on the list is Kim Dzong Un. So you can vote for Kim or not but if you don't vote they'll say you're not fulfilling your responsibilities as citizen and that means labour camp Cheesy

So Cina will have a fake cryptocurrency that will allow people to think they have a real crypto but they will still have a bank account that will look like a crypto wallet and send transactions through a blockchain.
3074  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: November 19, 2019, 08:14:12 PM
I am always greedy when prices rise, I want prices to continue to increase and ultimately I do not sell at the highest price. but when prices fall I always panic and want to sell it right away.
when it's already selling, then the price increases again, but when I buy why the price always goes down, like a few days ago when I bought at $9500 I thought it would go above $10k, but now it almost even touches $8k and I'm really frustrated with the price at this time.

You're the average investor! Most people think like you and there even diagrams that show how the market follows a circle path and people always overreact and overshoot the target.

Do you remember how when we fell below 5000 USD Tone Vays and some other traders were screaming that it's going to 1000 and it has to go there because technicals demand it and there was no capitulation? They overshot the same way people were later overshooting when we broke 10 thousand that now it's full bull market and we have to go to 20.
The average investor panics, overshoots prices, is too hesitant in a bear market and too sure of himself in bull.
3075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Circumvent KYC if You Can? on: November 19, 2019, 08:02:41 PM
Nowadays, usually, crypto exchanges required KYC/AML to their clients. So, the fact that we can't stay hide and become anonymous in crypto because once we want fiat and our crypto asset will be converted into fiat we must pass first the KYC verification. Bypassing those requirements is really hard to fake because it is also required a video interview which is hard to escape.

Really? They wanted you to send them a video? This is very rare. I'm using more than 5 different exchanges and none of them wanted a video.

I don't need to circumvent KYC because i'm selling so little every year that I'm fine with the limits exchanges impose on unverified users. Maybe if they all start to demand KYC even if you're withdrawing small amounts then I'll think of something.
3076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google possesses threat to bitcoin. What do you say? on: November 17, 2019, 10:44:27 PM
Is this a part of this "google is going to hack bitcoin using a supercomputer" FUD?

Maybe this is the reason for the current downtrend? People are scared of things that are so far in the future that you could as well be scared of an alien invasion.

I'm not worried about google collecting my search data and counting my mouse clicks. I'm not a person in their database but only a number. It doesn't concern me that they find out that this number likes to buy in this or that store and pay with crypto. If you're scared don't use any program because most of them including windows and your android phone collect and manage statistical data.
3077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Problem With Being Apolitical in Bitcoin and Crypto on: November 17, 2019, 10:38:07 PM
As an Anarchist you are more or less kicked in the ass on every step. Not in Bitcoin but everywhere. You probably don't vote but some people are being chosen against your will and those people make laws that make you obey. You have to pay their taxes file their reports and when one of the alphabet guys marches into your home you have to be compliant or another alphabet guy will beat you up and take your freedom.

Why do you continue to live in such country that doesn't respect your opinion and wants you to pay 50% tax? There are countries who don't tax crypto and give you more freedom. There are countries that don't care about the IRS and FATF.
3078  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk forum payment issue and many more on: November 17, 2019, 10:21:29 PM
why not post this in their forum?
won't your complaints here be in vain because they won't see it?
so far i do criptotalk signatures and always get paid.

They do see it. They even have an official account on this forum.
Maybe OP just wanted to find more support for his complaints? Maybe he doesn't want to get banned on yobit and lose the post he's yet to be paid for?
There's always hope.

It's a good move by yobit because once someone makes 50p he'll prefer to make another 50 to get paid for everything than leave with nothing. Smart people. Abusive and shady but smart.
3079  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you like your sig campaign payments. USD vs. BTC on: November 17, 2019, 10:04:32 PM
I suggest not only you everyone to prefer the BTC payment. USD price will never change at the time of price dump we may agree USD but always BTC is the best choice for everyone.
I love to have the bitcoin payment like we were getting payment in 2016 and 2017. It's was a golden year for signature campaign users.

This thread isn't about USD payment which would be not too far off impossible. It's about whether you want a USD peg.

I'm sure the uptake for something paid in USD would be upsettingly high. Ain't gonna happen though.

It seems most people who posted and voted here don't get it because there's more than twice as many votes for BTC.

USD peg is just better in every aspect because when the price is in an uptrend you can hold your payments and still profit. The only downside is that you can't convert at the time of payment but wait for a few days or weeks. In a downtrend you can sell after receiving it and always get the same amount despite Bitcoin being worth less every week.
3080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading with 2 BTC? What is the first step? on: November 17, 2019, 08:43:04 PM
First of all you have to realize that you're already trading because you have a market position. You bought 2 BTC which mean you have a long! This is very important for you because you already are invested whether you like it or not.

The second important thing is realizing that you have a long in a bear market. Bitcoin has lost 10% in the last month so you're down 10% already before you even start trading. Do you really want to exit your long now when we might be at the bottom of this correction? Trading is difficult and newbies get rekt.
