3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: April 15, 2020, 04:10:58 PM
Gambling affects us through positive and negative. I know there are so many gamblers that are really used in gambling on which they have already experience many things while gambling and for sure they have experienced good sides and bad sides of gambling.

I just want to list down all the positive and negative things of gambling:
Positive:
1. Gambling will let you think analytically and logically.
2. Boost your decision making.
3. It will let you interact with other people which is good for socializing.
4. Gives you happiness and entertainment
5. It can be a source of income.

Negative:
1. It will make you unproductive in other things.
2. It may destroy your life if you get so addicted on it.
3. It will lessen your time spending on your family.
4. You may lose your money.
5. Some says that it will lessen your reputation.

It made me realize, do positive things will let you stay from gambling?
In my own opinion, if a gambler only gambles for fun or leisure time they can easily control themselves from bettong too much or becoming aggressive in playing. But if a gambler only gambles for earning profit it will be difficult to control himself from betting too much that he will always experience the negative side of gambling.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: April 15, 2020, 03:50:53 PM
Is high rewards like 350,000$ for bounty hunters still possible this days? I know it's all down to the success of the project but is this still achievable? How many successful projects with such reward paid hunters since 2018 that you know?
I think it's not possible these days to receive a high rewards in bounties because most projects nowadays are not that successful and is hard for them to receive the softcap and the hardcap, that is why a lot of investors are disappointed if they participate in a bad project because it is really waste of money.
3063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: April 15, 2020, 03:28:49 PM
Staying updated always is the main hodl strategy. Many projects have migrated to its own blockchain of recent and some persons have been left behind during these migration. If you want a long term hodl, hold few tokens you can always monitor their development progress.

Agree.. especially if you want to hold altcoin from new project do not miss any update from the project. But, i suggest hold only major altcoin. i'm holding only from top 25 in CoinmarketCap.
Hodling a new project will be difficult because even you are updated or you don't miss any updates from the project, you are still not sure if the coin that you are holding will have a good value in the future or it is legitimate, that is why if you want to hold a good altcoin you better choose from top altcoins because for sure it has a potential to have a good value in the future.
3064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 15, 2020, 03:01:54 PM
Since all casinos are temporarily closed due to the pandemic of covid-19, i think this is the best time for them to solve their addiction problem in gambling because they can easily stay away from gambling and they have a chance to change their hobby in exchange for gambling like working out and doing chores. But if they really want to gamble they are a lot of crypto casinos or online gambling site for the to continue their hobby as a gambler.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: April 15, 2020, 01:05:03 PM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?
I only heard this kind of dream about achieving their financial goal in life through gambling only in movies. In real life, it is difficult to achieve your goal in life by just playing gambling because in the end you will just end up getting yourself bankrupt and severe debts. I think the only people who can be successful and achieve their financial goal in gambling are casino owners because our losses are their earnings.
3066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: April 14, 2020, 08:07:26 PM
If someone has a big problem in gambling before, I assume this is the right time for him to recover himself from being addicted in gambling due to the pandemic of the COVID-19 and lockdowns because he can easily stay away from any casino and he will now have more time to change his hobbies in exchange of playing gambling like working out everyday or doing house chores.
3067  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: April 14, 2020, 07:46:54 PM

3068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The door is never closed to new traders on: April 14, 2020, 06:58:51 PM
Crypto trading is always open for people who wants to experience and have an opportunity to it, as long they are dedicated to learn and will continue the thing that they have started until the very end. Crypto trading is indeed difficult or very hard to understand that you need to experience it before you can truly learn more about it.
3069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn and learn and keep learning will safe you from lots of foul play on: April 14, 2020, 05:47:35 PM
Many of us making a mistake, but we can learn from that mistake, and that makes us improve our knowledge and skills to be better than before. We keep learning to get more information that will be useful for us in the future, so we have more experience from what we did before. That will help us to get better things that we want, and I think that will make us close to what we want.
Indeed. But it is much better to learn from the mistakes of other people, so that you won't commit the same mistake that other people have experienced. We should be really keeping ourselves to learn everyday because our knowledge is the only thing that no one can't take us from us, that is why you should never be afraid to fail and to commit mistakes because it means you are continuously learning.
3070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies can now be send without the use of internet. on: April 13, 2020, 06:16:04 PM
As it is only launched in Venezuela on text message transaction system, it should be further investigated future. But i think it is not fully risk free. We know there are many frauds in mobile banking system in our country. So to be honest, we can't say it as a good method until it is to be tested in most of the countries.
In my own opinion, it is really great that you don't need the use of internet connection for you to transfer cryptocurrency to other people through sms because it can be convenient for people who don't have any internet connection at their homes and more people will have an opportunity to use bitcoin because they can now transfer it even without any internet . I think it is convenient and safe for people in Venezuela to use this kind of innovation in their country because it will be difficult for hackers to trace this kind of transaction

By the way, i also saw a similar thread to this discussion in the Bitcoin Discussion Thread: Offline cryptocurrency transfer?

3071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline cryptocurrency transfer? on: April 13, 2020, 05:54:44 PM
Please don't tell me people in Venezuela are stick rocking a Nokia 6210? I doubt people even make applications for that relic anymore.

Nope!
Because that's a 6310i not a 6210 in the picture  Grin
That aside, you can still make SMS purchases wen with modern phones, you still receive 2fpa confirmations via sms, right?

Now, the most important thing about this "breakthrough" and 'breathtaking' service.
You can send coins offline ..only if you already have coins in your wallet, which you can't deposit if you're offline!
So /thread

Now, it seems we have some people who have no clue where Venezuela is but still shitposting in this topic

It is good any many are glad when they first saw this news, if that is really implemented in cryptocurrency, it is less hassle and I think it is much secured. This will help us to prevent scammers and hackers to steal some cryptocurrency in our digital wallet that is manipulated with internet.
You have no idea what this is about and how it really works, right?

Venezuela is great for developing this kind of invention that can help all cryptocurrency users to transfer their asset using just a cheap cellphone.
Yeah, Venezuela is great, too bad they've discovered this five years after private firms have done it in other countries.
And it's not Venezuela doing it, it's a private company!

President Nicolas Maduro should be praised and acknowledge for doing this in their country.
President Maduro should be put on a pedestal and acknowledge for what he did for the country!
And forced to not leave that pedestal till everyone has paid his respects.
Better cast him in bronze to make sure he stays there for a few centuries.  Grin
With this kind of innovation that people in Venezuela could send or transfer their cryptocurrency through sms/messaging only, it might boost adaptation and gain fans in cryptocurrency that more people will be inspired and have an opportunity to use cryptocurrency that they can now use it even without the help of internet connection.
3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between Online and Physical casinos? on: April 13, 2020, 05:30:24 PM
The difference between online and physical casino is that online casino can be played virtually using devices such as smartphones and laptops and you need to use digital money to use it as payments. While physical casino, it can be played in reality that you can play with your opponents face to face and you are using physically money as a payment.
3073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 13, 2020, 05:10:48 PM
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
This is because the whole world is in a financial crisis, so it is normal that cryptocurrency is financially affected, that is why cryptocurrency is not safe to this pandemic of the corona virus and how people is starting to panic. A lot of people probably started to sell their bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from the last dump because they need to buy the things that they needed during lockdowns. Good thing that bitcoin is slowly recovering it's price up to $6,000.
3074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 13, 2020, 04:38:27 PM
How can we safe ourselves from well organized scam projects? Some projects are so well crafted and in the end they scam people, to my own understand research doesn't help here at all, use case, whitepaper, team, every thing are so real and make sense, please give advice about this
There are really a lot of projects that are too good to be true that even you check it's website, whitepaper and team members, it is hard to say if a project is a scam or not. I think it all begun in the year of 2018 that most projects in ICO are scams, and a lot of investors and bounty hunters have wasted a lot of their energy, money and time for those kind of projects.
3075  Economy / Economics / Re: People hoarding anime, Nintendo Switch, manga, figurine, all weaboos collectible on: April 13, 2020, 03:55:38 PM
During global lock down. Damn we have reached new low!

I think Nintendo Switch are hoarded because majority of userbase is masculine, while Sony is majority feminist userbase. Smarty girls combine Nintendo Switch, animal crossing/fitness yoga, masculine userbase, patreon donation platform, and voila a cash generator in time of crisis!

Not going to touch the extreme stuff like anime, manga, figurine, etc.

It’s new world order!
People are hoarding this kind of stuffs because during global community quarantine lockdowns there are a lot of people who are always bored at their homes or don't have nothing to do, that is why to solve their boredom they are starting to buy stuffs like Nintendo Switch, Manga, Figurine and other stuffs.
3076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 13, 2020, 02:57:53 PM
Just curious how is it even possible to gamble at the age of 5? Grin Grin Grin

Unless, it is not the kid that is gambling but someone at a right age that doesn't wanna get tracked down right? Well, the point is, the age restriction system will not really work here unless they implement KYC system with real time verification. Because merely, an ID's could still be used to steal identity to a person if they really want to gamble with a restricted age.

I probably say, there's nothing wrong with gambling, even a kid could play, but make sure he has a supervision with his parents and should know his limitation and responsibility.
In my own personal opinion, it might be wrong for a kid to learn about gambling at the age of 5 because they could inherit it when they grow up  that there allowances at school could only be used in gambling, instead of using it for their food and other important needs. Gambling is always wrong in the eyes of other people because once a person learn how to gamble and became addicted to it they could be aggressive, greedy, cranky, problems in health, severe debt, mood disorder, etc. So if a kid will learn about gambling they will experience this emotional and mental problems while growing up.
3077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 13, 2020, 02:18:51 PM
I think gambling addicts will not have any chance to get out from their addiction because there are still online gambling sites that they could spend time at their homes while there is a community quarantine lockdowns, but it would be better if gamblers would take a break from gambling because it is much better to spend more time with their families while they are at their home to strengthen their bond.
3078  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: April 13, 2020, 01:55:04 PM
Italy will be the likely candidate, as it is one of the worst country that is being hit by the virus outside of China. Death toll already surpassed 2,500, and the demographics itself, country has the second-oldest population on earth. And obviously, the younger generation respect their elders in a Catholic country like Italy that's why the spread is unprecedented. And I think we can consider Italy now as ground zero, so it have slowed down their economy in the last month or so.

For me it is the US who will suffer more in this pandemic, news are reporting about how the US handle this virus and they said that they are really having a hard time to fight this virus. Although US is a first world country, and a large country with a good state of economy, their stock market is really affected by this virus. According to the news, the New York city is having a hard time to assist its patients so that they will recover from this virus. They said that they are lacking of equipment and manpower as doctors are also getting the virus while taking care of patients. The stock market is down and the people are still panic buying just to survive the quarantine. Until now, we have no idea when this virus will end and it is hard to accept that there are lives that have been loss.
Indeed. The country who will be affected the most by the corona virus is the U.S. because they have the highest number of virus cases all over the world that they already passed the number of cases in China and Italy, that is why they are having a hard time dealing and handling this virus that their economy is rapidly going down. I also think that every country is really having a hard time fighting this virus because it really takes a lot of time for an infected person to recover from the virus.

3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: April 12, 2020, 07:59:40 AM
I frequently use bitcoin in playing gambling in a crypto casino because i could it in my investment if i can win a huge amount of profit, and most crypto casino are accepting bitcoin as payment that is why it is much better if i only bitcoin instead of other cryptocurrencies.
