Right now MetaMask + MEW combo is the safest and most practical way.
Once you load your account to Metamask, you can connect to it via MEW with one button click + all the added security that comes with not sharing you private key / json file,
it's a Win Win

The KYC process on this exchange is really shady and unnecessarily detailed and personal.
They are also very vague about when exactly you might need a verified account, which is another big red flag, but the more important point is demanding so much personal disclosure from the client is entirely against the purpose and spirit of Cryptos.

Some ICO owners take a very long time to bring their project to fruition, so to avoid instant dumping of token value without a viable product,
they try to delay exchange listings as much as possible and make their tokens easy to buy yet difficult to sell...

It boils down to money, as is almost always the case with these things, which is understandable, but at the very least market leaders like Binance shouldn't try to create fake pr by acting like some ethical socially responsible douchebags,
when all you need is a payment of 100 BTC to be listed and promoted on the Binance exchange.

Important lesson here is if you pick a project that may not appear so popular at first but has great potential, you might end up much more profitable than if you just went along with the crowd and joined a bounty with thousands of participants, which would inevitably dilute the rewards...

Wow sorry about all these losses. I just filed a Verification process with HitBTC after reading some good reviews on another thread. Now I see this exchange is definitely not reliable by any means...
If they want to run a professional business, at the very least a company representative should explain all these countless scam accusations.

HitBTC probably had the highest number of complaints throughout 2017, I'm surprised to see it getting some good reviews finally.
I have a couple of tokens that only trade here so far, it would be interesting if they really improved their service to professional levels.

This is actually a very valid question.
Despite all its flaws, fiat like USD is still backed by the US Government and Fed, and if you present an authentic paper bill, you will get the exchange amount printed on it. That's cash for you.
USDT obviously does not fulfill this requirement, it is only backed by its developers, and therefore inherently has a specific counterparty risk, and you need to factor that into the equation when dealing in USDT trades.

ZEC is a very solid project all around, already deserves higher price above 0.05 BTC (so around 450 USD would be fair value currently).
Next to its great anonymity features (arguably the most reliable privacy coin right now), it's perhaps the only top 20 coin whose mining rewards have remained stable and consistent amidst the ASIC storm. Expect the ZEC rally to continue ladies and gentlemen.

ETH is world leader in a few categories, TRON is a baby compared to it...

1) PCL (expecting a per share price of .10 USD for this unique AI based token)
2) KMD, very ambitious project with extremely hard working committed team, this coin deserves much higher rankings.
