I think to find the API for sports events and bookmakers some praise the iSports API as it covers the full range of sports data in more than 900 different international and national competitions, cups and leagues in all major football federations around the world. There are also free APIs from Betfair, Matchbook and Pinnacle that allow you to provide odds and place bets.

Thank you for the response! I will check these out.

live betting would be cool. but the odds will drastically change while the game is happening. i have not seen like this in crypto but sure this will be fun when you decide to bet before the game start and when you see you are losing you bet again for the other team. the fun part is when the result is draw.

i have no idea actually but this is what you are looking for?

Live betting has exist already in major sports bookies.

Not sure what you are looking for as far as API, but maybe you can check this out: https://www.thesportsdb.com/api.php

I'm not affiliate or anything that relates to me with that site, so just be careful and just everything before using them.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not believe every crypto news you read online on: November 17, 2022, 11:19:08 PM
I think for crypto based media, this is the trend, they just published news without any verification. Worst this articles are like written by a not professional writers.
And I as far as I can remember, this has been debated heavily in this community, as what is the status of crypto media and how they twist and turn every news to fit their narratives. That's why I'm very careful of reading news, even from so called good source that we have today. Still better to do due diligence and not to be affected and be swayed on every news, specially FUD and negative news popping here and there.
3063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2022, 10:59:02 PM
I saw the news about Dwight Howard is playing on the league in Taiwan. There's now a follow up news that a team there too, the GhostHawks are wanting to take Carmelo Anthony to their team.

So, it's very likely that he'll take the sign there and play for that league. I felt bad again for Melo when he's got stuck with no team want to take him just like the past seasons when he's on the same situation.

But hopefully, he gets to sign there and play against Dwight's team.

I'm not aware that he is recruiting Carmelo Anthony, but who knows.

And if I'm not mistaken, Dwight said that he is making a cool $1 million per year, so it's like he is still playing with the veterans minimum in the NBA. But what Howard like maybe is that he will be treated as the superstar in his team in Taiwan and it could bring back his confidence once again.

Maybe that will be the sales pitch of Howard for Carmelo, join him and play make money and become a superstar once again.
It's not that Dwight is recruiting Melo, there's one team that wants him and they're on the talks.

For these two, they'll surely be treated as superstars in the T1 League and many fans from Asia are for sure going to come and seek and watch these two live.

These leagues are investing to these great players that have no longer contract to the NBA. Actually, that's a good opportunity and there will be some place and new home for these once-great players that are not renewed and given a contract by their teams.

Ok thanks mate, and as I have research, and regarding Dwight Howards playing in T1, the league said that their tickets was sold out in 10 minutes upon releasing this news. So for sure many wanted to see how Dwight will play in their league and he could bring tickets sales.

And imagine if Melo decided to play in T1, gonna be beneficial on both sides, Melo earning still good enough millions per year and then the league making a killing in tickets sales because basketball fanatics wanted to see Melo play.

But still up to Melo Anthony to pursue basketball outside of the NBA.
3064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2022, 10:46:18 PM
We have a 140 lbs fight this November, it's between Regis Prograis and  Jose Zepeda.

Josh Taylor unified the 140 lbs belt, but he then decided to relinquished the WBC belt and now Prograis and Zepeda will have a chance to get this belt. Prograis lost to Taylor while Zepeda against Jose Ramirez, (and then Taylor beat Ramirez to get all the belts).

Prograis a huge favorite as per Stake @1.23, against Zepeda's odds @4.00
Yes, surprised to see how Prograis became a favorite and with that kind of odds. I think Zepeda has pull an upset here and I like his odd at 4.x.

Zepeda is very durable as well so I expect this fight to be a war as this is for the belt. Although Prograis is also good, but it's going to be a close fight here.

Maybe the fight can go either direction in the judges scorecard, but I do agree, if someone who also look for a live underdog, it will be Zepeda in this fight.

This was supposed to be a Zepeda-Ramirez fight but the latter preferred to focus on the WBO belt who's probably becoming vacant soon unless Jack Catterall upsets Josh Taylor. Former undisputed champion Josh Taylor is not just giving up the WBC belt but all his remaining belts as well except for the WBO since he wants to rematch Jack Catterall in a championship fight before moving up in the welterweight division.

For fight fans that want to see a non-boring fight, this is for them, actually, I am also not missing this fight. Both are KO artists and capable of hurting each other. I want Zepeda to win but Prograis seems to be the bigger guy and is a natural 140 fighter while also the more mobile fighter.

I do agree, this is a must watch fight for boxing fans, both are heavy hitters so very interesting as who is going to win although I'm also liking Zepeda here as the underdog.

Not sure though, Josh Taylor will have a rematch against Jack though? If this is true then another good fight as well, and if I'm not mistaken, there is a controversy on the first fight and others says that Jack has upset Taylor and that's why I'm thinking that there could be a rematch between the two as Josh wanted to proved that he won the fight. So let's see, 140 lbs is also a very attractive division as there are a lot of good fighters and to top 5 are all capable of beating each other and become a champion. That's why Josh unifying all the belts are that compelling.

He vacated his 3 belts except the WBO, and so this fight will be for the WBC belt. The reported rematch between Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall is slated for February. But we will have to wait for the official announcement.

Yes, there is a debate and so much controversy that they have to do it again. But in any case the  Prograis vs Zepeda is a good appetizer for us in this division.

And we also have Teo Lopez going up to 140 lbs so his name should be in the discussion as well for next year.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 17, 2022, 10:30:56 PM
Seeing Casimero heavily favored from the poll is not really that surprising and people are just waiting for his comeback since he was stripped by his WBO belt. So far, things are going well with Casimero inside his camp and I'm just not used that he's so silent since this bout has been finalized, so I assume that they're so serious inside the camp and with just a little 2 weeks left from his fight, it seems that he doesn't have that weight struggles anymore. Already excited about his return!

Anyway, here's an article I found earlier regarding Casimero's plans should he succeed in his upcoming fight.
Quote
"If I win against Akaho I want Naoya Inoue next as long as he does not run. I respect Akaho because he will fight me, he is not afraid," -Casimero said in an interview with A-Sign Boxing.
https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/sports/boxing/850209/john-riel-casimero-targets-inoue-showdown-after-ryo-akaho-fight/story/

When I thought that Casimero is quietly preparing for his fight against Akaho, he had to open his mouth and then call out Inoue hehehe.

Maybe that's what really his target, I mean we have been waiting for this fight against Inoue, unfortunately he can't make the weight at 118 lbs. But since both of them are moving up to 122 lbs, this fight is inevitable.

But first Casimero should take care of his business here and beat Akaho convincingly.
3066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: November 17, 2022, 10:07:04 PM
No, I don't think that there is such a thing for us gamblers, no lucky casino, at least for me. Odds is zero for everything, until you put your first bet, your roll your first spin in slot machines, your single bet in roulette and it goes on.

And if by luck, I mean by chance majority of your winning is on one casino, it doesn't changes anything.

So as much as we think that this is happening, everything is based on probabilities and randomness of the casinos that we are going to play.
3067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your lost from FTX collapse on: November 17, 2022, 09:54:21 PM
I also didn’t loose any money as I only have coins on Binance and Kraken. Not saying that these can’t go bankrupt like FTX but I think the chance is smaller. But I should probably move some coins to a personal wallet to limit the risk!
You should!
That's why many have been thinking of moving their funds out of exchanges because they don't know when a problem will exist with their current exchanges.
Those that have large funds should make a move before anything else happens, you don't want to be part of anything in the future that's related to hacks and bankruptcy of another exchange.

True, I don't have any on FTX, and to be honest, I haven't heard of it before until it collapses, and maybe that's why I didn't used it by any means.

I have some on Binance as well, but as I have said, I decided to move it out like 2 days ago, the money is not that big though, but it's better that way than to regret later as we don't know the status of any exchange right now. They might be running on fractional reserves, or they don't have the money to back up all the tradings.

CZ though sent an email assuring that Binance has the capital and they are secure, but as we have said, not your keys, not your coins.
3068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectation Rock Bottom Level Bitcoin on: November 17, 2022, 09:35:12 PM
I just don't expect a Bitcoin/crypto bull market before January 2025. Buckle up for a crypto winter in 2023 and 2024.

Yeah, maybe in the first 3 months of 2024, we might hit the tail end of the bear market. But after the halving, a slow increased in price leading up to the eventual bull run, but still a long way to go to talk about it.  Grin

I don't care about the BTC price going below 10K USD. Even 5K USD price bottom is possible, but there will be a price recovery, unless all crypto exchanges collapse as a house of cards and the crypto market returns back to the 2014-2017 "glory days". Grin
Selling during a period of panic/bear market/crypto winter is always a wrong move, but many traders simply need cash and they don't have any alternative other than selling their crypto. The global stock markets will be facing a winter as well. Big tech corporations had overpriced stocks for years and now their stocks are dropping like rocks.

Doesn't matter what will be the rock bottom, but for TA guys, maybe it's important because they can project what will be the future ATH. But for some non TA guys, maybe what's important is how long the price can go and how are we going to react to it. Do we need to wait further or just buy every dip thru DCA.
3069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 17, 2022, 09:15:41 PM
Not surprising because many people believed that Thurman cannot make any difference at this point while Spence's still on his peak, I'm not saying that Thurman is already old because their gap is only a year, but people will still believe that he doesn't have that skillset to defeat the 3-belt champion and that excludes me because I believe that Thurman is not yet done.

I understand your point though because Thurman, even rested for almost 31 months, still showed dominance against Mario Barrios and the final score given is really that gap. Although Barrios can't be compared with Spence, that means that Thurman still has it.

However, Spence's previous winnings via Decision are all landslide wins and the scores tell it all. It means no one from those opponents gives Spence a hard time even coming from a deadly car crash. Can't choose between them but I just hope that Thurman can at least give Spence a tough and close fight.

Mario Barrios though just moved up in weight and in his last fight, he was badly dismantled by a tiny Tank Davis. Thurman is a real welterweight and he was expected to have an easy night with Barrios.  He clearly won against Barrios but there were many moments when he struggled and was running away.

Barrios should be no where the 147 lbs division, the top champions are going to dismantle him. As for Thurman performance, I will gave him so so performance against Barrios. But it is understandable as this is a come back fight for him and he gasses out in the later round and so he was running away.

Although Spence still looked vulnerable, his offense is becoming better since his accident. So far Spence struggled only against former champs Shawn Porter and Kell Brook, the same fighters that were demolished by Terrence Crawford.

Some mental lapses for Spence as well, if he did this to Thurman or maybe Crawford he could be in danger of being knock down, here is the video in round 6,

3070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 17, 2022, 08:58:12 PM
I lost my bets tonight. I was disappointed by the Warriors against the Suns. Even with Stephen Curry putting up 50 points it wasn’t enough to beat the Suns. The Warriors didn’t have it tonight.

I guess Curry was the only consistent player in the team, if Poole did his job, that would give the Warriors a decent chance to win, but man, he was only 2 points in that game and his points only came from free through. Thompson as well needs to step up, but the biggest problem in that game IMO was Poole.

I haven't seen the game, but surprised to see that Poole didn't score that much? Maybe he was really guarded and the Suns just allowed Curry to score.

Wonder though what Klay's feeling since him and Booker has somewhat had a thing going on in their first match and Klay pointing to Booker that they have 4 rings, hehehe. But after that, it was all downhill for Klay as he is inconsistent.

Blazers vs Nets - I will have to go with Blazers -2.5.
3071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 17, 2022, 08:26:08 PM
As a gambler what prevention measures will you take in other not to cheat on your game that you know a way on cheating to win or will you go ahead and cheat ?

Cheating where? online casinos? not sure about it because I don't know any ways to cheat them, I mean they have all the measures in place. Although there could be exploits that certain players could see, but I doubt that the casinos won't find it, and worst you can't get all the money including your capital and the supposed "winnings".

Even in land based casinos it's the same, hard to cheat on them, and those who have tried is not very successful and put to jail.

So not taking any risk though. Much better to play fair and that's what makes it more exciting isn't it?
3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: November 17, 2022, 07:54:58 PM
Some news regarding Tim Tszyu sparring partner:

Quote
One the fighters who Tszyu would love to secure as a sparring partner - is his most recent opponent, Olympian Terrell Gausha.

“If I get Terrell for sparring, that would be incredible,” Tszyu told The Herald. “He’s got great defense, great experience, great timing. He’s aware of all the punches and has great skill. I think Brian Castano used him for his Charlo fight, so that would be perfect.

https://www.boxingscene.com/tim-tszyu-wants-secure-terrell-gausha-prepare-jermell-charlo--170521

I think some of us might not know, but getting a sparring partner to at least emulate the style of your opponent is very important for boxers.

Just funny though that Tim is getting a sparring partner that he just had beaten, a boxer that has knock him down. But what's important is the experience that he will get sparring with Gausha and vice versa.

And so it seems the boxing community is excited to see this fight early next year.  Smiley
3073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 17, 2022, 07:36:56 PM
A fight in 168 is so unlikely, Canelo won't even consider that because it won't give him any benefit if they will contest the fight in his division while Bivol might bite that challenge if ever because win or lose, Bivol will still retain his belt because the fight has been held at 168. But again, it's really unlikely. Canelo might activate that rematch, but it will be on 175 lbs. where he won't lose anything.

Others may think that Canelo will have an advantage if the fight will be held at 168 lbs.  but we never know about Bivols capability when in this weight division.  He might adjust to that weight division without any problem and Canelo will be risking his titles if it goes with 168 lbs.  While, if Canelo decided to fight Bivol in light heavyweight, not only he is saving his title, he is also giving him shot for a title fight.  So I think the most wise decision is to fight Bivol at his natural weight division.  Win or lose Canelo will retain his title.

Well, yes, Canelo first forecasted Ilunga Makabu in cruiserweight but there have been some changes that is why the fight didn't push through. Cannot imagine if Canelo forced his climb in CW, we saw how frustrated he was when he was defeated in LHW, what more if that happened in CW.

Yeah, I read it was his planned but then something happens that changes his mind.  I think CW is to heavy for Canelo.

So far though we haven't heard anything about the rematch or what weight it will be, everything right now is based on our speculation.

Canelo is still recovering from his injury he suffered from the GGG fight, but he said that he is healing and maybe next year we will hear about this fight. I wanted to see them fight at LHW though, but still up to Bivol and his team whether to accept it at 168 lbs or maybe a catch weight.

3076  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the chances of FTX raising funds... on: November 16, 2022, 11:55:44 PM
I believe that there are still few that would bite on this. Like, they're thinking that this is crypto and it can be dumped fast but the same as the opposite of it, recovery.

Do you think so? I thought investors are smarter than that? and assuming that SBF has plans to raise funds, who are going to be lured on his scam? I mean scheme? And if there is something that history will teach us in crypto, it's that once your reputation has been damage here, its' going to be very difficult to come back.

Those that have the funds and can afford to lose it for the second time around would take the gamble. But as for me, I'd never touch any of these shits from FTX/Alameda.

So I will say that the amount of money investors lost like the reported Tom Brady and Giselle money, I doubt although there are still video off Tom and SBF together, that they are willing to reinvest again.

Despite all of the drama with FTX:

-Apple pay added USDC support
providing  an easy on-ramp for 500mil+
-Gaming juggernauts like Riot games are building in web 3.
-Billion dollar brands are incoming to the space.

Crypto is here to stay.

Gentleman, adoption is starting to lift off!

Despite several unfortunate news along the years it is fantastic to see that Bitcoin is still conquering. Yes, big companies are starting to get in and more are bound to come.
Latest great news as to do with Shell saying it is developing new mining energy solutions for Bitcoin, which is huge news.

Bitcoin yes, it's hard to stop it even if we are in a bear market.

Altcoins? not all of them, maybe the top 20 coins might survived, but the rest, they could have died in this crypto winter that we are in right now. Specially on how big the FTX collapse affects us all.

And as we unravel more and more companies and 3rd parties, it might take some time for us to recover.

Nevertheless, crypto will still be here to matter what and we all wait for the next bull run.
3079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 16, 2022, 10:53:06 PM

Beginners with the mindset of taking crypto trading as a job opportunity:  some beginners thinks crypto can cover up the space of getting  a job. It is wrong to plan of making cryptocurrency a source of income as a beginner.  It is important to have emergency fund while Investing in crypto.

I don't understand the context of this paragraph. Normally, crypto provides jobs for people, if a beginner have got skills like; data analysis, programming, content creation etc, that fits in a cryptocurrency firm looking for his potentials, then its not a wrong move if he applies and gets employed. And he/she doesn't need cash to get employed. The only investment required here is time which matters in every field.

It would be better if you specified what part of cryptocurrency a beginner shouldn't take as a job opportunity. Like I did above.

All am saying is that it is not ideal for a beginner to depend on crypto as a source of income. Their maybe some established traders/investors  that crypto  become a job that brings income. If a beginner reasons to make crypto as a source of income,  then such person will be full of expectations,  so desperate to make profit all time.

I'm not sure if you have been here around 2017 during the bull run, because there are a lot of newbies or shall I say just beginners in crypto market who thinks that the price will continue on a massive uptick till 2018, and there are threads and posts saying that they have quit their day job, their regular 9-5 job and focuses on crypto, maybe bounties or trading or signature campaigns or any other ways to earn here.

But we all know what happens in 2018, it was a bear market, so not sure how those who move out and resign from their day job was able to cope with and bring food in the table because it is very hard that time, just like what we experience in this bear market.
