3081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 22, 2017, 12:47:01 AM
With a large precentage of the hashrate attributed to the a certain fork proposal, I don't think that it'd be safe to assume that this fork would create an altcoin. It'd be a huge risk for other miners to actually NOT follow both because of losing money due to the retarget slowing down but most importantly because of the economic majority having shown its preference. The coin supported by the economic minority would most likely end up being deprecated at best.

Yup, the warning came soon after the change and the payment just a bit longer after that. All cool! Thanks nicehash.

New interface on the website!? Seems cool. I hope balances will also update soon because I'm currently seeing zero!  Tongue
3084  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: June 19, 2017, 02:08:02 AM
Anyone here heard of worldcore.eu? They seem to be offering a variety of bank-related services, not sure if they're a full grade bank though. Perhaps it's a fitting service for the list?
3085  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: June 18, 2017, 03:08:18 PM
Are you EU based? Perhaps the card failed due to lack of 3D secure support. Try with a VPN perhaps? You could also use an in verified PayPal account for this transaction. Just speculating here, things can vary wildly per payment processor but it's weird that the card was not accepted.
3086  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: June 18, 2017, 09:32:38 AM
I don't think that cashless has that of a positive connotation today. It stands for POS transactions, something that's controlled by banking institutions and easily tracked and regulated by governments. I wouldn't want a cashless society to function this way. There'd still be demand for an alternative to cash for untraceable transactions.
3087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Casino with 0% Edge? on: June 18, 2017, 09:30:47 AM
I think that the feasibility of such casinos isn't all that great and players surely want casinos to be able to pay out whatever they win. 1% which most dice websites use isn't all that much but in the long run works for them.

User vs User 0% house edge bets have been tried before in peerbet and were kinda fun. The only downside to me was that it wasn't instant since it worked like an exchange. Users would have to post up requests for other users to agree on the odds and match them.
3088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speeding up transactions on: June 18, 2017, 09:22:56 AM
SegWit is indeed on its way with the August 1st fork. It is looking to solve this by going forward with SegWit along with other implementations to improve bitcoin through a soft fork and miner support.
3089  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC small amount at first (new user here) $30 USD on: June 18, 2017, 09:20:49 AM
You wouldn't have to deal with LBC support system if you also picked a trusted seller from there... If you ended up being scammed here you'd be left with no support at all anyway. I don't see why this kind of transaction would end up here but perhaps you'd attract someone with the right rates (i.e. with much worse than exchanges)
3090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is > 6 GPU Per Rig Possible With 1-to-3 Riser Card? on: June 18, 2017, 09:17:53 AM
It is but you could also be splitting into two motherboard units. Each set up has it's very own pros and cons. The bigger one is going to need higher cost individual parts but the two smaller ones might cost more in total for the same hashrate. If you feel like you have the knowledge to troubleshoot a 9 GPU setup though I don't see why not.
3091  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: June 18, 2017, 07:27:43 AM
Bitcoin really fluctuate during this week after dropped back to $1860 last month even though it ever recover to $2900 USD once in this month. Well, what do we expect? It is a normal day in bitcoin environment due to traders buy and sell at their discretion.
But, I don't worry about it, I have my funds secure for another rise, hopefully. When some good news appears to the surface, people will speculate and bitcoin price will skyrocket again.

Right now, the highest rate of bitcoin are on South Korea and China exchanges over $2800 per 1BTC. While other exchanges set around $2500-$2700 USD, seems Asian countries leading the way.
With a breach of support like this one it's hard to expect much in terms of another bull run. Ideally bitcoin prices would remain stable but approaching alltime highs after such a short time isn't too feasible in my opinion.
3092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite game provider? on: June 18, 2017, 07:26:43 AM
I like cryptocollider quite a bit. It's the most unique crypto related game I've seen to this day. The downside might be that it requires flash but it's still very much worth it IMO.
3093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ZCoin doing really good...why is that? on: June 18, 2017, 06:50:27 AM
People like you, OP. No joke, the fact that people see certain cryptos as safe from crashes is the exact reason why they might not be affected by certain market wide bear trends at times. If a development could be interpreted as a pop of the bubble though, the high long term correlation would show.

That would be the case if zcoin was considered as safe from crashes....as a fact. But as far as I am aware of nobody ever mentioned that zcoin is safe from crashes...there is no such general opinion about the coin. I noticed the trend at the actual time it was happening. So I was too late in a way to affect the trend. There must me some other reason people kept buying zcoin while everything was crashing.
I do agree that what happened the other day cannot be interpreted as a crash, but a mere correction
That migh have been the case just for that day's crash though. The metric people might've gotten a hold of could have very well been the fact that ZCoin's price was late to catch up with other markets and so cash was moved into its market by other currencies, this way helping it form bears. It doesn't mean that this was connected to real world events. Altcoin price changes rarely are.
3094  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 【Bitcoin Debit Card UQUID】 No ID Required |Multi Cards Buy Supported | 0% Fees on: June 18, 2017, 06:26:28 AM
Just a quick co-branding question.  If I own a FIAT bank, when the clearing house  issues my credit/debit card volume the card numbers contain a sequence specific to my bank, usually the first five numbers, disregarding the first digit....is there any method like that used here?  Where are your numbers derived from?
I think from that what you're looking for is a BIN database. See here. Insert the first six digits of any card and it'll output info about the issuing bank.
3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help on getting started on: June 18, 2017, 06:22:09 AM
To clarify, you can mine certain altcoins for profit with GPU but not mine bitcoin directly. Use this profitability calculator to see if there's any card with a more feasible ROI but make sure to take into account the exact price of the card you'll be getting.

3096  Economy / Exchanges / Re: This is why SOME oversight and legal framework is needed on: June 18, 2017, 06:16:39 AM
In such cases, I think that legal oversight would over-complicate things whereas a WoT is has proven sufficient in regulating user to user transactions. Try to capture evidence of the transaction and I think that you'll be fine most of the time.

LEgal oversight is already existent for bitcoin exchanges that are registered as companies. This is where you should trade if you hold such beliefs. Better rates than LBC too!

3098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin splits into 2 differents coins would bitcoin legacy be a altcoin? on: June 18, 2017, 06:10:28 AM
the miners are going to implement the changes of the industry agreement will this be good for bitcoin economics is it a open discussion? because apparently core is against the agreement

Is it an issue for bitcoin development will the Price rise?

is this a change in bitcoin economics it is a proper solution to the scaling problem?what will core developers do?will they work on a another versión of bitcoin is the change necessary can there be different versión of bitcoin the developers will work on all versión?what will core do?

Core is for UASF and believe it or not, it's the least radical approach. I do believe that mines will follow through with it in due time as it's the least risky solution. Bitmain is playing games to try and measure their power but because there's still time. If they see not to be receiving much support they'll switch to the most popular chain supported by the economic majority immediately because doing otherwise would be too costly.
3099  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: June 18, 2017, 06:06:12 AM
Any suggestions of an unverified card that will be accepted for recurring/membership charges?  I'm having a heck of a time with Lavapay's Visa Virtuon and don't want to have to waste any more money unless I'm *sure* it's going to work...
It is going to work but make sure a small excess of money is going to be in the card at the expected time of the transaction. The card service might be getting a monthly fee and this might make it so your card doesn't have enough balance, especially if the charge is automatic.

I think not verified cards will become more cost-effective, because the new legislation has come
Today I have received this from cryptopay:

The 4th EU Money Laundering Directive (4MLD) that will take action on 26 June, 2017. In line with this document, starting from 26th of June, all limits for unverified clients will change in accordance with the government regulators’ guidelines:

The maximum load for an unverified cardholder across all cards will be reduced from € 2,500 to €250.
The maximum unload through point of sale transaction and ATM withdrawal for an unverified cardholder across all cards will be restricted to €100.

To summarize, to be able to load more than €250 or to exceed the spending limit of €100, the cardholder has to be verified.

This would mean that it is impossible to raise the amounts as before, and if we consider how much the card issue costs,  10% is just the cost of making and sending the card to the user now how much money you will be able to raise and spend on it.
Interesting. My thoughts are that if the market can only offer cards for which users will need to be fully verified, people will probably end up signing up for e-banks like Mistertango, n26 and Leupay to get cards. Those are cheaper anyway.
3100  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: June 15, 2017, 08:04:24 AM
I invested in crowdsale.mycelium.com bitcoins. All transactions have been saved.

Now I can not enter there! The password for recovery does not come to my mail! I wrote three letters to the support service - there have been no answers for several weeks already! (7408, 6616, 5816 03.03.2017!)

If the support service does not solve this in the near future, I will consider you fraudsters to write with a lawsuit!
Too bad you weren't able to read into the signs of this. I tried to warn people but nobody would listen. A "community manager" was trying to dispel the wrongthink back then but even him has went AWOL now.
