Yeah seems like there is a Give away happening from the company because all 3 daily spins of mine that i made today? gives me 360 satoshi each
meaning this is a rare opportunity because mostly it's only 36-40 sat per day in free spins.

You took advantage of the free 10 spins from every deposit? Could have netted more Grin

Not too long ago I won 3,700 Sats from the Fortune Wheel too. First time, albeit rare.

Does it rank well? Really? By what big search query in Blockchain, Crypto, Bitcoin niches it ranks well? "cryptocurrency", "what is bitcoin", "buy bitcoin", "what is crypto", "how does crypto mining work", "what is blockchain", etc. the forum isn't close to the top 10. Almost half of the traffic is direct visits (I assume) and it ranks only by brand names or keywords with "forum" in it.

Of course we can't cover all aspects, but the keywords "community" and "forum" keeps it on the first page. And being ranked higher than the top 10,000 websites, not too shabby.
3083  Other / Meta / Re: Google partial blackholing of Bitcointalk? on: April 30, 2021, 10:39:25 AM

Yes. That is why we buy Yoast's SEO plugin, because the free version is basically an SEO tweaker on crutches, and both of them won't work if you're using plain old html and not Wordpress/Drupal/Magento which makes the problem of SEO sort of stillborn for those kind of sites (like Bitcointalk).

Surprisingly this Bitcointalk ranks quite well even without SEO, but that's one hell rare of a case without any reliance on such.

One funny but relatable advise I read elsewhere is after buying the crypto, proceed to delete any portfolio/ price tracker apps and HODL for X years before checking Grin

An addition to this is the always reminder that only have the capital or invest what you can only afford to lose.

When the knife falls though, it feels tempting to pump in more at times!

Speaking of Premium, can the FUN tokens be linked to any TRC or BSC chain? I'm still stuck with them on Binance due to the massive fees.

Wanted to join since March and God knows when the fees are gonna drop.

What google is doing borderline evil and I guess that is why they removed clause ''don't be evil'' from their code few years ago.
I stopped using google for search and for emails, only thing I need it is for my youtube account, and I use all other alternative search engines that are privacy oriented  like DuckDuckGo, Qwant and Startpage.
Problem is that google holds nearly %90 of market shares for search engines and most people still use only google for searching anything on internet.

Imagine being the Big Brother of the Internet and having that "Don't Be Evil" motto, is kinda like an oxymoron.

But isn't it quite inconvenient for you given that you lose access to personalized services? Having to manually find contents on YouTube rather than getting served the recommendations from accessing the home page everytime?

Also ngl, Google search is second to none when you are searching for niche terms.
3088  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Call code! on: April 29, 2021, 02:42:48 PM
What is call code?
If your call code is tag like @yourusername, it makes me think of two possible things.

If you are newbie, you will not receive many calls from other members.
If you are famous member, you can get many tags and if you use mention not, you will receive many annoying notifications.

If the call code is different than tag, and is simply as notifications when any members reply to your posts or any replies in topics you posted in. You can customize your account settings.

Tags don't really have to be annoying if they are grouped, assuming many members are tagging or quoting your posts. And all it takes is just a few clicks to dismiss them.

A friendly reminder, you might want to censor your email in the image. Spam harvesters are everywhere.
3091  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any minimum amount of budget which should be paid in btc campaigns ? on: April 28, 2021, 04:45:33 AM

when you have many signature campaigns a year, years go by and the market itself begins to define a certain pattern where below that pattern people do not accept it. for example if the campaigns pay $25 for the low ranking, any campaign that introduces $10 for the lowest ranking people will enter this campaign because there is no alternative and when another campaign arrives they will move to the campaign to pay more money, leaving the low-budget campaign manager without valuable members. this is a cycle that can be changed if the low budget campaign is very solid and is going to stay long, in this case even members who have good post quality may prefer to stay in the low budget campaign that will be staying for a long time

That's true, especially with the lower-tiered ranks. But hey, that applies to real life jobs too. If someone has no choice but to take a low paying job, the job satisfaction is pretty low and surely he/ she would jump ship once a better opportunity comes along. Human nature. Smiley
3092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason why merit is giving to who merited them on: April 28, 2021, 04:24:52 AM
I'm not really sure why there are such topics on the reason Merits are given out but it's pretty simple. It's up to whoever wants to give to who.

There's nothing else to discuss about Merits. Just like how people find some posts interesting, entertaining or informative and upvote/ like them.
3093  Other / Meta / Re: Rule # 7 - Signature in Profile - Allowed? on: April 28, 2021, 04:00:13 AM

That and the fact that bitcoins were a lot cheaper back then. In addition to paying a transaction fee of zero, you could buy 1 BTC for less than $14 up into the first month of 2013. Bitcoin simply is no longer practical for tipping. So it's not the forum that's "fallen from its original intent," it's bitcoin.

BTW, not to brag, but last year I did get an anonymous donation from somebody, and I've never asked for donations. That was pretty cool of whoever it was.

Indeed, and now we're seeing the effects on Dogecoin too. From a meme currency, now tipping comes with a higher fee despite being inflationary.

And that's so nice of that person! Just curious, was it a large amount?

Merits are a fun tipping mechanism but being able to tip posters fNFTs would be better.

That's a nice idea too, don't mind having some collectibles to show off. Grin

wetsuit is working on it now. There's an issue updating the total referral commission paid data. It's only the "Share amount based on total referral activity" that's affected so maybe that's why nobody else noticed.

Alright, thanks alot!

I'm reluctant to draw that conclusion because it is working perfectly on my account and of the hundreds of support requests I get every day you are the first to report this issue.

Unfortunately I'm facing this issue just like @Lucius. Just recently I checked the stats, no distribution of the Sats was recorded.
3097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is NFT? on: April 27, 2021, 07:08:38 AM

For me this kind of business has nonsense, why would someone pay half a million for a digital house? or more than 1 million for a tweet... The only sense I could find with this kind of business is money laudering.

A few years ago, people were willing to pay top dollar for virtual kittens. You might have known CryptoKitties when people kept buying and selling those kittens and breeding them in hopes of getting rare breeds. But damn, the fees were pretty hefty back then. Imagine now.
3098  Other / Meta / Re: Rule # 7 - Signature in Profile - Allowed? on: April 27, 2021, 06:32:18 AM
When I joined this forum it seemed like everyone had their donation address in their signature. It wasn’t uncommon back then to get a BTC or two for making a good post. Even a funny joke could get someone sending you a BTC to grab a beer as thanks. It was a different time back then when this forum was populated with Bitcoiners instead of professional forum users.

I guess my point is that this forum has fallen so far from it’s original intent that even providing a BTC address now that could possibly lead to Bitcoin use is considered bad by some.

I guess it's mainly due to the hefty fees and the lack of the Lightning Network. With Merits, that overshadowed any other "tip" too.

But in other communities such as Reddit, tipping is still like an everyday thing. Memes? Tip. Encouragements? Tip. Self-introduction? Tip. Not just altcoins but Bitcoin too.

Everyone's still on the Lambo winner's BTC bets Grin

If you haven't noticed yet (or a reminder to those who already knew), deposit bonus for 10 free WOF is still up. You have 28 hours left to complete the task and claim the reward.

I already transferred with the lowest fee available on Betfury (BTC0.000075) to Freebitco.in and I'm just hoping it clears before the offer expires Grin

Almost 3 million Golden tickets, that's just insane... if only he does an AMA like the winner from one of the previous rounds Grin

Just got my $1 deposit credited, and received more raffle tickets and reward points than Sats. Best investment ever huehue
