Yes this is Milan toughest game towards the end of the season if Milan manages to get through it well then Milan can maintain its position in the standings
The match I was thinking Juventus would win which was away for iInter Milan was won 1 - 0 by Imter Milan, if Inter Mialn can win this match today, it means one thing to me, that Inter will have the Seria A title this season. Today's match is very important to be won by Inter and I guess Inter would win.

After losing the last 3 matches, Atalanta is now in a very weak position. Although Venezia is the weakest team in the league, Atalanta's players will have to play well if they want to win against them. But Atalanta’s players are now mentally upset. They need to be more confident. Otherwise, Atalanta has a chance to lose points against Venezia.
I will say that as well, Atlanta become more weak truly, but now the club has been disqualified from Europa, this means their players will have have time to rest and will let them have pick performance if they train well for this. Venezia is just a club that is relegating, all I can see is that Atlanta would win this match.
3082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 23, 2022, 11:25:43 AM
I think Arsenal will win the match that will be played today because Manchester United have not been playing very well in the last weeks I think the probability of losing points is very high. I guess Ronaldo's performance will not be high so my preferred team in this match will be Arsenal. Maybe they can even draw Smiley
Manchester United players are not playing well but C. Ronaldo in Manchester United match makes it unpredictable at times. Although, Liverpool won the club but Liverpool can not be compared at all to with Arsenal or Manchester United. I too will wish Arsenal to win the match to be able to have more chance to qualify for champions league next season but the match remain unpredictable. It is Arsenal's home though which Arsenal are better at than away.
3083  Economy / Economics / CBDCs really worth it? on: April 23, 2022, 11:05:48 AM
This news is some days passed but I remembered it when I was checking the crypto news about the French president, how he supports digital Euro:

Quote
The 44-year-old politician also vocally supported the digital euro project, which has been the target of pushback from the public recently.

I clicked on the news in my quote: ‘There are already digital means of payment’: EU Commission gets 11,000 public comments on CBDC project

It is about European Commission which opened digital Euro for the EU initiative up to the public consultation, over 110000 individuals and organizations left their feedback. The consultation process predates legislative consideration of the digital euro, which is expected to be scheduled in 2023. To know more about this, click on the above link.

Quote
A review of a sample of the public feedback section’s content revealed the existence of a certain discontent with the project in general. For example, as an anonymous comment in German goes:

“NO! There are already digital means of payment! So what is CBDC for [...] even more surveillance, prevention of bank runs, addiction and the consequent enslavement of mankind? This does not prevent money laundering; this already exists on a large scale for the top 10,000 in many tax havens, e.g., [the] Cayman Islands, Macau, Dubai, etc.”

I am not talking about the Emmanuel Macron which is the French president, people will have different opinion about CBDCs, just how I got the news and brought it here for discussion.

Countries want to create their own CBDC, some piloted and created theirs already. But the consultation about the creation of digital Euro is on the down side, people and organizations do not support it. I have been thinking like this before, what is important about CBDCs that traditional local currency (fiat) can not be used for? Fiat has electronic wallet, can be used for electronic (online) payment, it has the same value as the fiat of the country that created it, it is even the fiat, it is completely controlled by the central bank and the government, CBDCs are just fiat. Why creating CBDCs, it is not necessary in my opinion.
3084  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 22, 2022, 03:08:08 PM
Merit & new rank requirements After reading this topic, I realized a lot.  I read it carefully till the 3rd page, it has become a 322 page topic so I couldn't read everything but here I have a question, many people are looking for merit especially newbies like us but I think we have to learn the rules of this form with dignity.  And what we can achieve by distributing what we can to others is enough. I think that's the way to get merit.
Bitcointalk rules is not the same as Merit & new rank requirements, they are both different but the two are very important for newbies to read.

Receiving merit is not hard at all but it has sacrifices, I can not even call it sacrifices because it should be passion. For example, you are using bitcoin wallet like electrum, you use it to be receiving and sending bitcoin, you will be able to post on technical boards about bitcoin. Assuming you know about economy, you can be able to post on economic board. How about bitcoin discussion and others like beginners and help, all just require having basic knowledge about what bitcoin is and also how good posters are posting on the boards. As you are knowing about bitcoin, read what people that post good are posting, you can easily know people that are posting good and learn about them. If you are reading what they are posting carefully and understanding it and you are using bitcoin and bitcoin wallet, you will rank up.

Newbies should not be looking for merit, they should learn about bitcoin, read crypto news, read more about what good posters are posting and study this forum intelligently, merit will look for them when they have learned, but newbies are mostly after signature campaigns and bounties, not bad though, but should not lead them to spamming and plagiarizing thinking they will receive merit but got reported and banned.

All that newbies need is passion about what good posters are posting on this forum.
3085  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a good move by national bank of Ukraine on: April 22, 2022, 02:14:54 PM
Pretty simple, it's about controlling the currency.
If some Ukrainians already have $ them buying bitcoin will not affect the hryvnia parity at all, that is something happening outside, if, on the other hand, they buy BTC or any other thing with hryvnias that will make the currency drop, by restricting this you try to limit the damage.
Russia has gone overboard with control not allowing citizens to purchase foreign currency at all despite not being ravaged by war, and it does make sense temporarily but in the long term both a ban and a restriction will prove to be worthless, it will just make the fall harder.
I will agree with you, I noticed Russia did it and in few days or weeks later, the Russian rubles increased in price. But I am still just confused, what I thought before is that a country like to protect its foreign reserves, if the people in a country are demanding more of the foreign reserve, the central bank will not have option than to decrease the price of the local currency so to protect the foreign reserve depletion, which means that would still result to inflation or devaluation of local currency. If foreign reserves are used by Ukrainians, this could result to the depletion of foreign reserves in Ukraine.

I was later thinking Ukraine received donations in bitcoin, altcoins, US dollars, Euro, Pounds and other foreign currencies, probably could also be one of the reasons or the main reason that NBU restricted hryvnia to be used to buy cryptocurrencies because they have a lot of foreign reserve as a result of donation. I do not include bitcoin and altcoins as foreign reserve, though you know that.
3086  Economy / Economics / Is this a good move by national bank of Ukraine on: April 22, 2022, 12:39:21 PM
Ukraine bans Bitcoin purchases with local currency amid martial law

Quote
Ukrainians are now allowed to buy Bitcoin only with foreign currency with a monthly cap of $3,300.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) continues taking measures to prevent capital outflows amid martial law by enforcing major restrictions on cryptocurrency purchases.

The Ukrainian central bank officially announced Thursday a set of restrictions on cross-border operations, prohibiting individuals from buying cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) with the national fiat currency, the hryvnia (UAH).

I do not check the value of hryvnia but I think the war in Ukraine would have caused persistence rise in price of goods and services in Ukraine, which means inflation. NBU restrict Hryvnia to be used to purchase bitcoin a d altcoins but allowed foreign currencies to be used. I still do not understand the reason behind this because also foreign currencies have much to contribute to inflation if its reserves are depleting.

What could be the benefit of the NBC move to allow Ukrainians to only use foreign currencies to purchase cryptocurrencies and not allowing their own local currency to be used? But I think with this, only few people will have access to foreign currencies compared to those that will have access to local currency, which means a way to reduce Ukrainians that are buying cryptocurrencies.
3087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021 on: April 22, 2022, 07:38:47 AM
Can we really say there is a difference in opinion between the CBN and the Nigerian Government? or better still, is the CBN different from the Government? Even for those that are trading in centralized exchanges, at the end of the day, they end up withdrawing via P2P which is the only different thing now and before the Ban. The news generally is a good one considering that some banks are still being fined for allowing crypto transactions. NIGERIA FINES 3 BANKS FOR FLOUTING CRYPTO TRADING RESTRICTION ORDER
Central bank is not the same as the government, the central bank is controlled by the government but the banks are controlled by the central bank. If the government do not say anything about cryptocurrencies  yet, but the central bank banned it, that is still possible but not beyond the jurisdiction of the the central bank which is not able to restrict centralized exchanges, that is why many Nigerians are still using centralized exchanges for the p2p trading. But the best for total control is to use decentralized exchanges.

If CBN wants to fine banks, it should fine all banks because all Nigerian banks are used for cryptocurrency payment but in a way it is a transaction CBN can not track to buyers and sellers, that is why it is not good to include cryptocurrency as the purpose of making the transaction like that. The banks that were fined are fined because of others reasons which is against the CBN rules against cryptocurrencies.
3088  Economy / Economics / Re: Another no privacy from Russian Bankers on: April 21, 2022, 08:46:11 PM
Privacy is crypto's cornerstone. Without it, how can people achieve true financial freedom? A cryptocurrency that's constantly tracked by the government would make it no different than the traditional banking system of today.
You are right about this, privacy is very important. If the government can track crypto transactions, registering noncustododial wallet addresses with addition to KYC exchanges, this is even very far worse than banking system because data are transparent on blockchain unlike banking system, but transparent while using cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ethereum and others. There is no better way than having privacy but the bank of Russia amwant to make this not to be possible but I hope they will fail about this.
3089  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Multisig wallet on Electrum on: April 21, 2022, 01:05:20 PM
I was not aware of this limit at all!
However do we really need that many cosigners for a multi-sig wallet. Possibly few will mess the whole then and ruin the original goal of creating that multi-sig wallet.
There are many things like that which you can do on electrum wallet on computer than phone, 6 of 6 multisig and more keys and signers is not on phone electrum.

There are some few reasons you may want to use more than 5 keys, like a family of 6 or more, it may also be required in business. If a single person wants to use multisig, 2 of 3 is enough.
3090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 21, 2022, 06:46:28 AM
It's funny that Arsenal lost their easy matches and rather won against Chelsea. I wonder if they do the same against Manchester United as well. Arsenal's fourth place chance is pretty small comparing to four weeks ago but if they beat Manchester United we can talk about that more realistically. It's also important to Spurs losing points otherwise Arsenal don't have much chance even if they win their matches. It's nice to see Nketiah finally scores in a PL game.
Chelsea is already in 3rd place on the table, the strength to play will be lower compare to Arsenal that wants to make sure 4th place is theirs so they can qualify for champions league. What matters is not about that Arsenal was unable to win small matches, it is more about Arsenal was able to win Chelsea and preparing to take the fourth place, this is possible but totally depends on who win most.

in every match players asked to give their best performance, once they make a mistake no score for them no matter who is their enemy. dont worry with Manchester United, they are not in top performance moreover their defence still looks weak. as long as Lord MCguire in line up we still see hope to win against them.
Manchester United needs not only few changes but bigger changes, 4 goals to nothing scored when Manchester City won the club is never easy, I thought Manchester United will be a good obstacle for Manchester City but the match was like a bonus one just like while playing with Norwich.
3091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021 on: April 21, 2022, 06:35:01 AM
Good! This whooping volume tells us, it is "practically" very very difficult to "ban" cryptocurrency. You can make laws and what not, but the reality is something different. 316.9 billion is a huge number, especially for a poor country like Nigeria.
Nigerian is not a poor country, but if their wealth is compared to their high population, then many people in Nigeria are living in poverty, but if comparing the GDP, Nigeria is the highest in Africa, but they should have higher GDP with their high population.

Centralized exchanges are indeed a risk for those countries where government has either imposed ban or not positive towards bitcoin. Because centralized exchanges are bound to follow the rules of the land where they are operating in. That's not the case for P2P exchanges or Decentralized exchanges. That's exactly where the game changed for better and Nigerian government is loosing a huge amount of tax revenue for their stupidity.
It depends on the extent of the ban, like in Nigeria, the CBN ban bitcoin, not the government, the government are yet not saying anything about it. Nigerians still use centralized exchanges for trading bitcoin and also using decentralized exchanges, some also trade directly trade peer-to-peer.
3092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021 on: April 20, 2022, 12:06:32 PM
The central bank of Nigeria ban crypto exchanges and other crypto institutions from transacting directly into banks in Nigeria, Nigerians that are using exchanges that can be used to directly purchased bitcoin from banks were unable to purchase bitcoin because direct bank transactions was disabled after the ban. According to the news, Nigerians turned to using p2p which can be done between two people like on this forum, on decentralized exchanges and also on some centralized exchanges. I am not using this to advise people to use centralized exchanges because you do not have complete control over your own coins.

Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021

Quote
NIGERIANS traded at least N316.9bn in bitcoin in 2021 despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s restrictions on cryptocurrency transactions in the nation’s banking system.

Last February, the CBN directed banks in the nation to desist from transacting in and with entities dealing in cryptocurrencies.

After the official restriction on crypto assets in the nation, Peer-to-Peer transactions increased. According to a report by Chainalysis, Nigeria is the sixth leading nation in the world in terms of crypto adoption, because of the resilience of its peer-to-peer monetary systems since the CBN banned the digital asset.

CBN do not call for regulation but for ban, the countries that are regulating cryptocurrencies are even making it difficult, example is the new crypto law in India that wants crypto capital gain tax of 30%, that is huge. As cryptocurrencies has not even be regulated in Russia, the Russia banker wants crypto users in Russia to only use exchanges which they are controlling or they should use noncustodial wallet address that is registered with them.

Another no privacy from Russia Bankers

More regulation is making no privacy possible.
3093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 20, 2022, 10:21:13 AM
Bad season for Manchester United without any trophy achievement and defeated by rivals team give disappointed result actually for Manchester United fans, right now with 5 match left have back to consistent performance and try getting 3 point hope another rival team like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur got bad result. I don't expected with Manchester United can finish on 4th standing position place as spot for champion league next season, or will be chance for Manchester United with Europe League spot only  Grin Grin.
Just take it or leave it, Manchester United is never part of the champions league competitors again in premier league in my high opinion this season, the reason is because Tottenham is leading by 3 points and have one match it has not played, while having the same point above Arsenal, Arsenal has two matches to be played. Manchester United still have the same points as Arsenal but Arsenal leading with goals makes it to be on top of Manchester United on the league table and yet having two matches to be played. It is indeed a bad season for Manchester United which may not be able to even qualify for Europa. Only what is most likely that Manchester United will go for is Europa conference league.
3094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 19, 2022, 07:52:13 AM
Yes, Liverpool looks better than Manchester United, even if we judge by the statistics of the last games. Liverpool had no defeats, 4 wins and 1 draw. And the draw, as you remember, was against a very strong opponent. The odds of the bookmakers are certainly surprising, but I still would not underestimate the chances of Manchester United so much. Still, they are also in good shape and won the last match, which, of course, increases morale. I'm already gearing up for a strong fight between these two teams and expect to see a great football game tonight.
Liverpool looks better but Manchester United can be a threat for Liverpool. Manchester United will play better because its team believe they can qualify for Champions League, Liverpool will play better because its team believe they can be able to take the first position from Manchester City. Manchester United is not a club that is certain that Liverpool can win. I too think Liverpool would win, but Manchester United looks like a potential obstacle. Both draw or loss will not favour Liverpool.
3095  Bitcoin / Electrum / Multisig wallet on Electrum on: April 19, 2022, 07:46:02 AM
Multisig wallet can go as high as 15 of 15, meaning 15 signatures required for making payment and the other 15 for the total number of cosigners that makeup the wallet. It is like this on electrum wallet on computer but not like this on Android phone, the highest that can be gotten on phone is 5 of 5 multisig. If there are more than 5 cosigners and some of them do not have computer but just phone, it would not be possible to create multisig wallet, only 5 or less than 5 cosigners can use phone.

I have gone through the phone very well, I check settings, I checked if possible I can be able to increase the number of cosigners from 5 to 6 or more, I checked the settings and everywhere but I saw nothing like that. Is it possible for more than 5 people which are cosigners to create a multisig wallet on phone electrum?
3096  Economy / Economics / Re: Another no privacy from Russian Bankers on: April 19, 2022, 07:24:36 AM
This is not possible, except if they can achieve to ban cryptocurrency entirely in the country
All lies in the hand of the government, if Russia Bankers proposed this and the government accept it and it become law, then no privacy again in Russian partaining to cryptocurrencies as non registered crypto addresses will be seen as illegal and there would be penalties for those that do not comply. This will make especially new crypto users to either use exchanges that is centralized or register their address.

Are they able to determine if somebody stored his crypto assets outside an exchange? They don't know the risk of what they're trying to propose because in case of hack, all of those funds and life savings can be gone on an instant.
According to it, also registered noncustododial wallet address can be used, not only exchanges that are regulated, people can choose to go for a noncustododial wallet but which its address you send funds to are known to the exchanges and specific regulatory organization. But att the same, no privacy at all.

Division into castes: criminal punishment is offered for storing cryptocurrencies outside exchanges
Which Digital Asset Owners May Face Problems

Storing cryptocurrencies on non-custodial crypto wallets, that is, outside of traditional accounts on crypto exchanges, should be criminalized.  This is stated in a letter from the Association of Banks of Russia (ADB) to the Central Bank and departments (Izvestia has it).  The ADB considers this approach to be more logical, although they admit that, perhaps, criminal liability should not come for the very possession of such wallets, but for refusing to provide keys to authorized bodies.

In the event that a debtor and an anonymous crypto wallet are linked, a person may be given a choice: either issue a key or be punished for hiding property in the form of digital assets, the document says.  The establishment of liability, as conceived by the bankers, will prevent the outflow of capital through the opening of non-custodial crypto wallets.

This will be the end of privacy in Russia for crypto users, if this go as planned by the Russia bankers which consists of Russia banks association, there will be no privacy again, anyone that is having cryptocurrencies will have it on centralize exchange or its wallet address should be reported and known. This is not different from Address Ownership Proof Protocol (AOPP), it is the same thing and it is the threat crypto users are facing. Is it not better for government to stay out of crypto a half way than to legalize it, making privacy not to be possible and begin excessive taxes like the 30% capital gain tax in India. The government are turning people to be the prisoner of their own money which the government can know about. Governments are people, the regulators are people, criminals can be found anywhere, not written on the forehead. There are wolves, lions, snake and other salvages in sheep's clothing, the people that can cause threat by knowing the bitcoin address of people. AOPP will later be a threat to bitcoin and altcoin users.

About the war in Russia, I will leave it out of this, what I am thinking is that if this happen in Russia, there is more tendency that another country will adopt AOPP,  the privacy and safety threat of tomorrow.

I do not have much experience about prediction sites, I have stopped many years ago when I know prediction sites can fail as often, having your own knowledge about the sport, the teams or person that are likely to win and make your decision is better. If only little amount of money is used to bet, there is nothing to be worried about. Prediction sites can fail you.

You says might be true that while Liverpool playing with full of team but Man City surprisingly playing with reserved players and i think in this match too many mistakes were made by Man City players especially their goalkeeper Zack Steffen his mistakes have allowed Mane to score goal but as far i know Man City planning to get treble winner this season so they consider this match important too but Guardiola might be will regretting his decision why playing with most of reserved players as starting eleven
It is not easy for just a single club to win treble, it has been done before several times though but not easy. That said, even Liverpool is not an easy club, it is a strong club with very talented players, playing with Manchester City is a kind of match we do not know who the winner can be. I do not think Manchester City is trying to win treble rather than their manager that is trying to rest some key players maybe for champions league but which did not do the club good in FA cup semi final. Manchester City is trying possible means to win champions league as well which might be a smart move though.
