3081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most BTC you've spent on something? on: November 03, 2022, 08:16:19 PM
How time flies. I remember me first purchase with btc was from a friend then and that was  far back as 2015 when I wanted to show my friend how it works. After onboarding him he was doubting how it works so I asked him if he would reach a deal with me and that I do not mind doing a give away as he is my friend and that it gives me joy proving things to him to clear his doubt and he agreed to the arrangement.  So I asked him if there is anything he wants to sell as at that time and he said yes so he brought out a phone which he has and wanted to dispose it off. So I asked him to send me his wallet address and he did I transferred  the Bitcoin equivalent Base on our agreement. He sold it to me for $170 and an equivalent of that was transferred in Bitcoin to him. That was my first physical barter or purchase if you may like though I have been doing transactions long before then with Bitcoin but this one I did with him seems remarkable and sets the record straight which made me feel a kind of joy internally to have do a physical transaction so one can see as it was his first time.
3082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Years ago today, $500,000 worth of bitcoin was distributed to MIT students. on: November 02, 2022, 07:24:28 PM
Looking at the cost of btc then, it was  cheaper than it is now so therefore the not could afford it as it is a reputable organization. I believe this step taken was to onboard their students into blockchain which was the major goal which was successfully achieved and completed and it was also in Record as the first organization to have carried out such give away. This helps a long way because thousands of students were gifted Bitcoin which however aided the fast and wide spread of the awareness of Bitcoin globally. I believe these sets of students who got this give away must have onboarded new sets of people  into the system. And it also aided in the fast circulation of Bitcoin.
The issue of tracking wallet would likely be near impossible because some of the students might have sold out while receiving and some might have bought more as well while others might decide not to do anything at the initial instance so tell me how do you know who the wallet addresses of the students and do not forget that there are other wallets likely holding same amount of Bitcoin outside the ones distributed to the students. This is the reality so you need do proper research before coming for argument.
3083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Intelligence Officers Used bitcoin to bribe a US Official on: November 02, 2022, 06:20:45 PM
Regulations on blockchain or Bitcoin has made it easier to identify a transaction, knowing where it is coming from, where it is going and possibly who the senders and receivers are. It is possible the government agencies could track who did the transaction. Come to talk of it, this was the major reason why the government insist on kyc. So they could know and get information on transaction via third parties and otherwise. If you are talking about the FBI, we all know they are highly sophisticated with equipment and ICT gadgets under their watch. So they knowing who transacts is kit am issues. I think most third party organization on Crypto breach privacy of their customers thereby possibly allowing for details to leak to government agencies with a possible resolution to operate.  I think Third parties should try protect the identity of their clients as agreed upon. It is very dissapointing seeing people's information being leaked online as a result of negligence from Third party organization vested and trusted with clients details.
3084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let me join the Bitcoin Forum on: November 01, 2022, 07:32:52 PM
To start with, every beginning has a story to tell irrespective of the time interval, occurrences and experience. Getting to know Bitcoin was a great experience I would never forget. I  actually had an experience before the Bitcoin reign. I was not new to digital marketing and exchange. I was fully aware of digital currency so I therefore allowed room for something's in my space but I never took part in them. I ignored them until after much I decided to give it a try. This refusal by me was as a result of the hack experience I had then. My account in which I had some funds was hacked it was so devastating the period because I invested much into that scheme and my expectations were very much high then but to my greatest surprise my account got hacked one morning I watched as my account got emptied. It was very painful and ever since then, I decided to do away with anything online or digital business unknown to me that was the period Bitcoin launched. That was how I missed it at the earliest stage but however, I was not ignorant of the fact that the world is going digital but I had to decline attempt onboarding me. Latter on, I gave in and and got acquainted to Bitcoin.
3085  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: October 31, 2022, 04:31:20 PM
Talking about regulations, I think to some extent investors will be comfortable with it as it controls and checkmate the activities, excesses and shortcomings of some Crypto projects, exchanges and other third party's involved in Crypto. Initially, Crypto was not developed to attract regulations but however, the events unveiling itself has shown lots of red flags that warrants third party, government and organizational regulations.  However regulations itself has advantage and also disadvantages. Regulations on crypto was actually setup as a pressure from government to checkmate activities of Crypto currency operators such as the investors, founders and exchange to knowing their  transaction flows, in and out, purchase if actually it was a genuine transaction, etc. This is also prone to hackers if they really do have access to data base of any Third party organization because hacking such data base gives them direct access to vital information which causes breach of trust thereby making room for litigation.
3086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - How high can it go? on: October 31, 2022, 11:31:57 AM
It is certain that Bitcoin price would definitely get higher than our expectations and calculations but I strongly believe it would gradually do so. While I said so is because as time goes on the world would definitely get to know about Bitcoin whereby  more than %50 of world population holds a little fraction of it added to the demand and pressure on Bitcoin. When that happens, there would be much higher demand for Bitcoin but as it stands now, what Bitcoin needs more is creating awareness about it globally because the world is yet to get familiar with it. This little awareness done will go along way in getting more people onboard the system. This will also create more liquidity and also improve the market there by making higher trading volume. Also, as we may know, Bitcoin has strong value that is why it was tagged digital gold as a result of it's emergence as the first digital currency in the world. So your speculated price is not a barrier in any ways. It is achievable as we collectively do our job as pro Bitcoin enthusiast.
3087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prime Minister of UK - A crypto believer on: October 29, 2022, 03:52:39 PM
Well no one can tell. Although he might be a Crypto Enthusiast and would want to make sure Crypto succeed in the UK and we pray it happens that way perfectly well. Come to talk of it, he is a lover of technology and would definitely want the system to be technologically inclined but winning the hearts of the parliamentarians to his side is the major target if he must be successful in achieving this. At such, he would need them to approve such bill if the motion is passed. As a youngest serving prime minister in the history of the UK, I believe he would have much task in making a difference as he has been chosen to take the lead by the people who deemed him fit for the job. Taking the economy of UK to the next phase is amongst the expectations of his people do therefore, he has been bestowed with the responsibility of taking up such task and currently,  the world is going through economic crises which I believe is one of his major goal seeking solution to.
3088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: October 29, 2022, 02:58:48 PM
There's nothing to loose there as both parties have every tendencies to win as it is a win win game. Come to talk of it, we are talking of an asset in Bitcoin with an estimated value of over $200 million here. Giving the government %25 of the asset as an offer is something worth it. However, this would go along way helping the government if it scales through. This is not a small project either as it requires more workforce because the dumpsite would be excavated as it is almost a decade since the hard disk was thrown there. I believe why the delay because lots of things needs to be put into consideration before embarking on the project as it is not an easy task. Another factor we need to look into is the health of the citizens who live close to the dumpsite. Excavating such site is more or less giving room for insects and pest invasion which will be of big detriment to the people living there so therefore weighing bot options, both parties needs to come to a term before embarking upon such task.
3089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY FIRST BITCOIN PURCHASE. on: October 29, 2022, 12:56:20 PM
Congratulations Man or your first purchase. I can see the Joy you have and in sharing your first experience. I know there are many of your type out there doing the same for the first time in their life. The experience is always fresh in the memory as it was the first time you ever did such a thing. I remember my first time of Bitcoin purchase that was years back. I initially was afraid so as not to fall victim or prey to scammers. I waited and waited sourcing for genuine site for purchase of Bitcoin until a friend whom I met long ago who was into Bitcoin and I had no idea. I told him about my discovery of Bitcoin and I am interested in it and I want to buy it he smiled at me and told me more about it there I realized he has been onboard the system for a long time. I trusted him so I gave him the money to purchase it which he did and transferred to my own private wallet. As at then I was so excited because it was my first time of purchasing Bitcoin as an enthusiast in the blockchain. I so much cherish that moment as it is still fresh in my memory. Currently now, anyone buying Bitcoin should be lucky and should find him or herself in a better position as the price is still down for a good purchase.
3090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 28, 2022, 08:22:35 PM
As a smart investor you are, you should know what to do at this very season. The right time to buy more is now. When market is down, smart and wise investors fill their bags taking all necessary possible position to go for the future ahead while waiting for the next bull run. Meanwhile traders on daily basis take out profits on their own benefit.  If I may say, the opportunity you are talking should be in the right direction of market bullrun. This i would say,  Bitcoin has been testing resistance and also forming a strong price base for the next bullrun. That I know for sure we will definitely see and this time around, a new all time high would be successfully achieved and recorded. For the new price base, the new all time high will  last for a long time before we experience or encounter any bear market again.
Well your decision is right in front of you to make while it is currently bear market make good use of this opportunity to bag more and wait for the next all time high.

3092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 28, 2022, 05:36:51 PM
How on Earth do you want Bitcoin to be a stable Coin. Sorry to say this, Bitcoin is a blockchain and therefore stands to get all benefit of a coin and not a token so you can see it yourself. It is near impossible to make Bitcoin a stable Coin as it was not built or financed on ICO or  IDO neither was the founders identity known. Making  Bitcoin stable can not hold any ground because it has no control or under anybody or government control. It is better it remains so as to allow for growth because I strongly believe Bitcoin will definitely grow much more than it's current price as it is going through a phase of by which it is building a strong price base and support. Come to talk of it, do you not know making it stable might likely cause a panic in market and scare away investors already holding giving them a Sense of loosing their investment. This would call for massive dump and I know and believe you would not like it so because nobody would want to buy it again. The major reason Bitcoin is so because it is not under any government control which is the sole reason Bitcoin was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto.
3093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2022, 01:58:23 PM
It is never too late to invest in Bitcoin. This is the very right time to do so as it is still low. However, there is indications of possible near end of bear market soonest which real is unpredictable currently. Though for sometimes now the price has been stable and trying to breakthrough but meeting resistance. But of lately there has been a steady increase or pump if you may like in Bitcoin price. There has not been much verified channel attributed to this sudden rise or increase in Bitcoin price but there has been indications of possible increase in the nearest future. As a wise and smart investor it is nice one holds his or her position very firmly so as not to be taken unawares.  Time to fill your bags while waiting. Do your own research.
3094  Economy / Speculation / Bear market likely over? on: October 26, 2022, 09:47:31 PM
Seems the bear market is likely going soonest. Congratulations in advance to those who bought low and those hodling for a long time. There is likely going to be a new all time high to be achieved before this year comes to an end. If you can, fill up your bag but do your own research.

What do you all think about the sudden bounce back and price increase on Bitcoin of lately?
3095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 26, 2022, 06:53:10 AM
The fact does not change in the sense that we are in 2022. 2024/2025 is way too far for buying or investing in Crypto. That research seems to be lacking or the correspondences seems to be lacking insight into the blockchain and Bitcoin to be precise. How can one say they would not to invest or get serious about an innovation that is currently trending globally and itself is an economy on its own which is booming and has changed lives all round the globe. Such a response coming from such a well placed person sounds funny though or probably, they did not conduct any research.

As the OP has stated, this is truly time to hold Bitcoin in the sense that one needs to nag more as it is currently down as there are indications of a possible bull market approaching soonest. So if anyone deems it alright and you are good to that, you can go for it. I am not a financial advisor not a financial expert so you will have to do your own research properly before going into it.
3096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 25, 2022, 10:11:17 PM
There's no market that is not important. Both bear and bull run are quite interesting for the blockchain/ Crypto industry and holders. As we all know, bear market are major down trends are as a smart trader it is expected that it is the time for filling up of bags for the next bull season. I personally have come to learn alot  from the bear market as it has thought me a whole lot of lessons on perseverance and consistency. I learnt to be patient in trading and investing. I learnt to do proper research before engaging in anything for fact finding and authenticity . This have guided me through my time as a blockchain Enthusiast.

So therefore, neither bull nor bear market is important than each other. The both works hand in hand for a smooth scaling. Remember the bear market comes before the bull so it invariably means that both depends on each other for a successful season. As a Crypto investor you know  what is obtainable in the system so nobody should tell you what to do when it's time.
3097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 25, 2022, 07:07:01 PM
For Satoshi Nakamoto to have sat down to create Bitcoin, he must have pundered over happenings in the world. How to solve economic crises, how to create wealth, how to save the stress of joining the cue and waiting for your turn to make payment, high and outrageous  charges from Third parties, fast scalability, easy access to your savings, portable movement with your assets, unnecessary taxation by government and other agencies, to stop the monetoring of ones assets, all these put together I strongly believe made Satoshi to come up with the Bitcoin innovation which led to blockchain Genesis with Bitcoin as the first digital currency to be developed.

Bitcoin has solved a whole lots of problem. It had made many millionaires upon it's inception, early adopters are very fortunate to have had early access to Bitcoin then and it alleviated most of them from poverty and making them millionaires. Not only that, in terms of payment for goods and services, it helps saves stress of going to the bank to get the fiat while with your digital assets in your phone, you could make payment very fast and easy without stress. Never the less, exhorbitant charges by third parties is drastically reduced when making payments from your own wallet directly and it's scalability is faster compared to the traditional way of payment
With these few points if mine I believe you can get more clues on problems Bitcoin solves.
3098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 24, 2022, 07:51:15 AM
Crypto currency has been very consistent for years now and still yet has no much awareness. Crypto education is quite alright and very much good for proper understanding and clarity on how it works but work needs to be done in creating awareness so people would be much more aware of it's existence and how it works. When called to their awareness, then they would be willing to learn about it instantly without any much stress. Curricular activities can be set up in the universities for Crypto currency just like OP has mentioned that there are universities around the world that has already set up curricular/courses dedicated to crypto currency education in their various universities. This would go along way making the people more interested in it and increasing more adoption of Bitcoin globally. When the people gets educated in schools about Bitcoin and Crypto currency, they will go about educating others and this would lead to a wide and fast spread of Crypto because information is passive and dynamic. So therefore, it is expected that such information goes viral after being circulated through awareness and education in a classroom settings. This way, we can be rest assured that the message about Crypto and Bitcoin would definitely reach to the nook and crannies of all part of the world.
3099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin transaction double charged you. on: October 23, 2022, 01:52:47 PM
I have never had such experience onchain neither have I had a Bitcoin failed or double charged transaction. Blockchain chain is quite different from the banking system whereby failed transactions or double charged transaction are recorded. I believe you were trying to make I payment via the bank and there was no likely a poor connection when it took place hence the double charged deduction was recorded. It happens so often on the Normal fiat transactions as such is a norm and not new in the system but nevertheless, blockchain is not so. Bitcoin is not so was a transaction is sent, I goes through there by creating transaction harsh onchain which serves as a ledger for such transaction and it is recorded for life. It contains the source, sender and receiver address and also note that once a transaction is sent via a private wallet, it goes through but sending from an exchange, it requires you to verify the wallet address and with your approval before it could be sent to the destination where you want it to go to. In the overall,  I have not Bitcoin double charged as I do not buy or pay through financial organization but rather exchanges where Iit could be very easier for me to transact without any form of  stress just like the financial institution.
