Multiple Sclerosis
Chronic Fatigue

Look here Princess AttentionWhore.  Those medical terms aren't capitalized.  You are just puffing up your self-pity party with cheap theatrics.

What is capitalized is the phrase Munchausen syndrome, which is among the mental problems you are actually suffering from.

I think he just doesn't want to be perceived wrongly--which seems a pretty universal human attribute. Let him code. Either he delivers or he doesn't. I for one would be thankful if his network design works as well as advertised and replaces Tor and I2P. And monero could use some competition that wasn't scammy or vaporware. I've never read a technical discussion where i thought TPTB_need_war was out of his depth (religion and poetry, yes--but most everyone is out of their depth with me on those topics  Tongue).

The TRADE WITH CAUTION label is an over reaction at best. I'd really like if it was removed and the code could be released before we make that judgement. As for TPTB_need_war lying or exaggerating his medical conditions (I doubt it), but unless you are a doctor who has examined him, you can hardly be skeptical without drawing skepticism to your own assertions.

TPTB_need_war, I'd ditch the forum exchange (it's becoming dogma vs. dogma), come up with a new handle and use it when you have more materials for consideration. Of course, if you were trying to gauge the level of interference you'd receive and from whom, well played.  Wink

Very much appreciated. Apologies for the drama. I think it is time for more action and less words.

Btw, I see no Positive trust ratings from anyone on my Trust. Does anyone else see any? What is going on?

Click on "show ratings" under untrusted feedback and you should see a few positive ratings  Smiley

Not sure why they aren't showing under your avatar though. Time delay? Mod approval?  Huh
3083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start your very own shitcoin scam in just 6 easy steps! on: September 11, 2015, 07:12:29 PM
Number of Dash in total supply as of today: 5,774,494

Number of Dash scam instamined in the first 8 hours of launch: 1,567,052 or 27.13% of total coin supply.

Number of Dash scam instamined in the first 24 hours of launch: 1,868,604 or 32.36% of total coin supply.

Try announcing a 30% pre-mine on a new coin launch, what happens? The dev would get roasted alive. Much better to instamine 30% on day 1 and lie about it being a "just a bug - oops! we're keeping the coins btw"  Roll Eyes

eduffield and The Darkcoin Foundation need to give themselves a big pat on the back. and let's not forget all the shills and scam defenders, it wouldn't have been possible without you

30% premine means 30% of the total number of coins there will ever be (ignoring possible insignificant tail emission). Very different thing. Do you see why?

Also, premine means the coins that will be mined by dev in the first block. During the first day and hours there were many more people mining than just Eduffield.

So basically you got both your arguments wrong. Try again.

Disclaimer: I'm not necessarily defending anyone or anything, just correcting your lies or misunderstandings.

Just because you can't prove premeditated murder doesn't mean it wasn't premeditated--glad the dash lawyers are explaining the difference between really, really fast and within the first block. The only thing this actually did was let Evan claim no premine which he proudly posts everywhere like a good slimeball should. The difference for investors is almost non-existent. But glad dashtard can rest assured that some noobs will be fooled by this game of musical chair symantics. Dash is a model of greater fool strategy and that's the only innovation it ever accomplished; the rest is hackneyed buzz words and poor crypto design.

trust is not only used for busting scammers, many use it that way though.

I can understand OPs logic, as it's perfectly fine to distrust an altcoin dev who's hyping / promising the world. also, he stated that he will delete the trust if the coin is fully released as promised.

and insulting people leads to situations like this. very unprofessional behavior.

I distrust the OP's logic, but giving him a negative trust score based on that is, at least in my mind, niggling and petty.
3085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ion.cash "developer" a.k.a. Anonymint goes off the deep end on: September 11, 2015, 04:54:51 AM
I have to say the negative trust bothers me, I don't support it, and I think it should be removed. But that is based on my personal opinion that ion.cash is sincere and is not scamming.

Because you don't believe smoothie was scammed by ion.cash and you don't strongly believe ion.cash is a scammer (as per the very definition of the negative trust) you can place positive trust on him to negate negative rating.

It's entirely legitimate to give someone a new positive rating just to negate a negative rating.

This is a first, I agree with Illodin.  Huh

I gave ion.cash a positive rating as i don't think a flame war is a trust issue--it's a clash of egos. If it was a personality rating, I'd think smoothie would have a legitimate argument for handing out negative scores based on personalities clashing.

Anyone who has spent time on this thread knows that ion.cash (tptb_need_war) is an honest and forthright, so maybe we support him with some positive trust.  Wink

It stems from self control. Anyone who has a good sense of self-control would shut his mouth and work and release the product when it is done.

Instead of posting for months (and years?) about how he has a great system that will blow bitcoin out of the water on every item of importance, just work on it and get it done.

Instead of waiting, he jumps the gun.

I would be willing to apologize publicly if he indeeds fulfills ALL of his claims in his project. But until then it is all HYPE.

Van Gogh also had hypergraphia--I like my creative geniuses a little off, shows they're in the schizo-realm as Delueze thought they should/must be.

“if schizophrenia is the universal, the great artist is indeed the one who scales the schizophrenic wall and reaches the land of the unknown, where he no longer belongs to any time, any milieu, any school.” –anti-oedipus, delueze and guattari

TEST: "SINGLE ASK"

Test started 21.50 (9.50pm)

Ask/Crichton

command: sell cr1602e 1 1

command result: New ask added for 1 unit of cr1602e 1 1 .

(Showed up as correct in asks--this was the first ask and bid shows up directly underneath it instead of to the right. Could confuse newer users)

as shown:

Ask

                        1/1

Bid

as expected:

Ask                                                    Bid

      1     1

*A monereto balance on item pages would be helpful. If your unsure of your total , it would eliminate the step of having to go to the "your items" page to check.

Test ended 22.05 (10.05pm) 15 minutes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TEST: "SINGLE BID"

Test started 22.18 (10.18pm)

Bid/Bank

command: Buy cr1602e 1 1

command result: Bought 1 units of of cr1602e at 1 m/unit for total of 1m .

(executed as expected. Did not take monerito from account balance. Bank's total was 1,171,817,160 before and after purchase. Chriton's balance was 129,173,562 before and after transaction. Item was moved from Crichton's items to Bank's items)

Test ended 22.27 (10.29pm) 11 minutes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TEST: "MULTIPLE ASKS"

Test started 22.51 (10.51 pm)

Asks/Crichton

command: sell 1602e 3 5

command result: No such item / lot exists or you do not have it.

(executed as expected)

command: SELL CR1602E 3 20

command result: New ask added for 3 units CR1602E at a limit price of 20 .

(executed as expected. Order shows in Bids)

command: sell cr-1602e 5 40

command result: No such item / lot exists or you do not have it.

(executed as expected)

commmand: sell cr1602e 5 40

command result: New ask added for 5 units of cr1602e at a limit price of 40 .

(order shows in Bids, but previous order 3 at 20 shows beside it instead of below it. Same unexpected result as in "SINGLE BID" test.)

command: sell cr1602e 10 100

command result: New ask added for 10 units of CR1602E at a limit price of 100 .

(order shows in Bids, but same setting of order beside the other orders instead of in a verticle collumn. Also, there's a space between the order and the period ( 100 .) in the command result)

Test ended: 23.17 (11.17pm)  26 minutes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TEST: "MULTIPLE BIDS"

Test started 23.21 (11.21pm)

Bids/Bank

command: buy cr1602e 10 100

command result: New bid added for 10 units of CR1602E at a limit price of 100 .

(Bid showed as expected, but didn't buy the listed ask. Refreshed twice. *Will log out and see if that changes things once all my bids are placed)

command: buy cr1602e 5 40

command results: Bought 3 units of cr1620 at m/unit, for a total of 60m.

(2 units still appear on Bids and 5 units still appear on the ask side. Should have been even swap. Refreshed twice)

command: buy cr1602e 3 20

(bid shows in bids, but ask of 3 at 20 is gone. Extremely slight possibility that someone besides the Bank bought these item; the Bank's total of cr1602e is 47 (+5 from when all bids were placed in "Multiple Bids" test), so most likely the 3 units were bought by the bank, but still show up in the bids. *If any testers can confirm that they did or did not buy these 3 units, it would be helpful to confirm the actual results. 5 total CR1602E were removed from Crichton's account as should be expected)

Overall: the Bids and Asks do not work as expected--instantaneous matching and transference.  Also, no monereto were removed or added from either the Bank's or Crichton's accounts. All items that were added to Bank's account matched items removed from Crichton's accounts. I logged out and back into both accounts to check if it might be a lag issue, but the results did not change.)

Test ended: 23.58 (11.58pm) 37 minutes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 4 tests total: 89 minutes

Biggest concerns:

--Bids and Asks are not being fufilled as expected.

--No monereto are being added or removed

Suggestion:

--Add monereto balance to item pages

Phaeton Carriage Works

Introducing our new Autumn 1605 lineup

We are excited to introduce our Autumn 1605 lineup of 2, 4, and 6-horse carriages!  You previously needed to spend IC (up to 1000!) on carriages in order to get them, but this year and every year after, you will be able to outright purchase them for moneritos! We have brokered a special deal with HM_The_King to be the sole reseller of 2 and 4-horse carriages in the kingdom! In addition, the only way to get a 6-horse carriage is by placing your order with Phaeton right now. We have currently exhausted 50% of this year's labor, so if you want a carriage before the turn of the new year, please place your order as soon as you can by visiting this link:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14hk2kSQNwFJ47BFH9YN1Y2hozRILyi3H6c1RKjh_6zk/viewform?usp=send_form

The base costs are in the chart below. These are before any metal reshaping fees or gilding fees have been applied:

LevelConfig PossibleCost (M)
K52-horse, non-elab7
K62-horse, elab10
K72-horse, most elab / 4-horse elab20
K82-horse, very elab / 4-horse most elab                  40
K94-horse very elab100
K96-horse most elab - Only from Phaeton!210
K106-horse very elab - Only from Phaeton!260

Why buy a carriage?

There are many reasons you may want to purchase a carriage. Carriages are required to be promoted to noble levels and beyond. If you are aspiring to gain levels and climb to higher status in the game (also includes higher income!), having a carriage is a direct statement to the King that you "Aspire to Go Higher (TM)" and he should pay attention.   If a Master-level character buys a carriage, it is a sign that he feels a promotion to Baron (first level in nobility) is overdue, and HM_The_King will take note.

It is possible that ads will appear in the game at some point. Traveling between boroughs will bypass adverts if you are travelling in a carriage, and speed up the journey considerably.  Think of them like cars are today; once you reach a certain level of wealth, you'll want to have a car, or maybe many. It can be a status symbol. For instance, The Prince of OZ has a solid gold carriage, pulled by 4 silver unicorns (TMNT named, of course!). Going to any event in such an opulent display of wealth will surely impress the bystanders.

The carriages from the Ancient period of the game have already risen 2x in value. These are great collectibles, and will likely keep rising in value, just like classic cars of today!  It's not only a good investment, but also allows you to utilize the investment while it is growing!

Special Promotion for the next 5 orders

if you order a carriage of at least 40 mil and you are one of the next 5 orders, you will receive a case of W1600 wine, and a share in the company as a "founders bonus" which will pay you dividends throughout the game.  If you have any questions, please PM me here on BCT or for faster service, message me in IRC (nick: sphericon).

Thank you!

I'm sold. I'll take a k8.

Went to test, but can't sell mead for under 750. Is this intended? Bids are under 750, so the system should acknowledge the bid/ask limit on both sides. Also, I placed an ask 2 @ 750 and the bid for 2 @ 750 hasn't been filled--hit refresh multiple times.

Of course it is not intended   Smiley What is intended, is one page above in pseudocode - the normal exchange functionality although (for now) without fees, and without limits.

Thanks for this, but otherwise: Guys, I am disappointed with the volume of the testing. We sorely need the monotonous banging of the command line and observing and documenting all changes of status. We pay for it. And nothing happens! Please help - this is now the critical path activity!

I got up to do a few hours of testing before work, but I didn't figure out that the limit was the problem until late in my morning--I'll have to do some testing after work or tomorrow morning.

*But I did get some poems edited, so maybe the poetry gods were trying to tell me something.

3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 07, 2015, 11:59:43 PM
Did you say this because there is a transparent ledger (the blockchain)?

Yes. A transparent ledger is not something a company wants their sensitive transactions etched on. I can't imagine a military or aerospace company paying a supplier over a clear channel. Or a government taking payments (for non-disclosed activities) from another nation by way of a public blockchain. Or an Uber driver disclosing their finances by way of a public address.

Actually, I can imagine the last one, but that goes to the average person not understanding how security and privacy are linked.

Monero doesn't need to get the average person to get privacy to be successful, it needs the people who already get privacy to see that it is the best method to achieve financial privacy over the internet.
3097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 07, 2015, 10:40:13 PM

The problem is that general public does not care much about privacy. if privacy was something that general public actually cared, facebook would be not in a position it is today, microsoft  would get much more heat for windows 10, and samsungs smart tvs would not sell so well.

That ^ can change. A financial crisis or a internet dooms day scenario could change all of that.

I believe there will come a day that the internet will not be what it is today (free and open).

That would change privacy implications on that level.

People have not been burned with their 401k's yet as the debt bubble and stock market bubble have not popped fully.

Once that happens and people lose trust in the legacy financial system, privacy will be paramount as more laws for reporting and transparency of one's finances will be required to an even greater extent than it is today.

Just look at the attempts to ban cash happening around the world. That is a step in the direction of an age of "no privacy".

People will value their privacy once they get burned really bad by the powers that be.

I'll add that the professionals in the security and finance fields understand that privacy and security are inextricably tied together and will not be using Bitcoin or litecoin to handle their own assets or the assets of the companies they represent. Of course this assumes that a privacy coin gets the liquidity to handle 6 figure+ transactions.

i see monero shills continually trolling litecoin, as if they need to discredit it to overtake it on coinmarketcap. this itself always turns me off monero.

occasionally i get over that and attempt to give monero a go.......

like this morning....well

how in any even remotest dream do you guys think monero has a snow balls chance of even being adopted by even 1/1000th of btt members here let alone anyone else in the world outside?

just curious?

sure you guys will treat it as a troll, but seriously this coins almost unusable in its current state  Huh

is it command line or do i have the wrong client  Huh

Who is trolling litecoin? I've actually been on the litecoin vs. dash thread discrediting dash. If you're talking about NEMaSCAM's thread, I suggest you look at his or her post history to see what he or she is about.
