With 10 points difference from City with 1 goal in advance, yeah it seems a bit late but there is many games left anyway. They have also 1 point difference from Liverpool but they are 2 matches not played yet by LFC comparing to Chelsea so the gap might be bigger than shown. The main point is to keep getting 3 points, Chelsea failed at that previously and failing another time will cost them a lot since ManU isn't that far from them.
The Premier League's top 4 teams have completed their task this week, 3 of which have won. Only Manchester City failed to win as Southampton managed to hold on to a draw. Manchester City dropped 2 points this week due to a draw, it will be an advantage for Liverpool, Chelsea to be closer.

I think Manchester City are still safe even though Liverpool have 1 game left. City will still have a greater chance of winning the title this season and they can certainly still focus on the Champions League in mid-February. In the next match, City will againt Full Ham in the FA Cup match in early February.

If you wish to accept 0 confirmation transactions, then you need to ensure RBF is disabled. If you receive an RBF enabled transaction, you should wait for a minimum of 1 confirmation.
Of course it is mandatory in every transaction if we do it without escrow.
But I've also heard that 1 confirmation is not completely safe but it will be safer if the transaction has reached 4-5 confirmations. I forgot how confirmation was declared unsafe, maybe you still remember about that? I remember about the 51% attack, can they cancel a transaction that already has 1 confirmation?

3084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: January 21, 2022, 09:18:36 PM
The entire cryptocurrency market is on a blood bath level most cryptocurrency witness a higher percentage of price drop which have turned so many analysts to speculate the next stop price before the bull run, if you have been flowing up with recent price actions it show Bitcoin losing almost 7% of it price falling back to 38k and have been struggling to maintain that price level up till now.
Will the 30k price benchmark be the next bottom line before the rise?
I don't expect the drop to reach $30K any time soon, although it's possible but market recovery can be expected after the current correction. Bitcoin will soon return above $40K once the FUD in Russia is gone, but if this sentiment is followed by a stock market decline then I believe bitcoin will dump its price again.

What I hope now is that $35K won't fall any time soon, it will be good support as long as the FUD doesn't go away. But stay alert and anticipate further declines as bitcoin has also lost more in price than it has now in the past.

You have made it mate and you deserve it.
I few more merits you'll be the same as I am. But, we don't just focus on earning merits as it will come momentarily as long as we are consistent in posting knowledgeable posts. I just hope you keep being you as many people had already changed when they have huge achievements.

Just keep going and enjoy your life in crypto. I guess that was more important than the others.
It's different if you have intention to help many other users to get merit so you really want to get more merit. It's up to you whether you want to apply to be a merit source or just prioritize merit in the posts you make, but when you have the desire to help then I'm sure you will do 2x the effort of what you are doing right now. Remember 1000 merit is important to reach Legendary, you and I have the same goal for that and once again we have to do it in a properly directed manner.

OP, you're doing well and you've also proven that the merit system won't make it difficult for you to rank up. Like most other users, you too will arrive at the end (Legendary) sooner or later if you stay consistent with the qualities you have. So good luck to you and congratulations.
3086  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: January 21, 2022, 08:53:18 PM
Yes go for a long term investment. Day trading is as well is the best thing if you are an experienced in it. Long term investment is for everyone. Even a new comer can confidently invest on a long term on Btc or on any other best altcoins. Just what you need is the patience to hold. Set up a limited profit percentage so that you can often see a good profit and can keep shift from one coin to other on from one coin to other best coin.
In real life, patience will often pay off sweetly for anyone who does it. Like investing, you do have to be patient waiting for the results you expect and maybe you shouldn't be too greedy either. Taking your advantage on a few occasions may be fine, but in the last 10 years anyone willing to be patient with the bullish and bearish will get a very satisfying return.

Trading is also profitable, but they have to adjust their trading patterns so they don't keep doing it. It is absolutely not recommended to trade for 24 hours non-stop when you have made a profit. A lot of advice says that whenever you make a profit then you are better advised to take a break.
3087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 21, 2022, 06:37:47 PM
For me the favorite in this match is Betis. They got an amazing team this season and are in the top of the league. They drew last time so im thinking Betis wont risk much and will go for a win in this match for sure. We can expect probobly both teams to score in this match.
This season Real Betis have advanced as one of the teams that have performed well in Laliga so they deserve to occupy a position in the top 4 of the standings. Betis are much better than Espanyol based on the form and results they got in the previous 21 matches, and I think this is an important point for them to win the match vs Espanyol today. I'm sure winning isn't about guarantees, but anything that's possible for them can be judged by how well they've performed so far.

But today Real Betis are faced with a poor record in Friday's match where they have lost far more often than drawn or won. Either way, I think things can change, it's just their bad record so far. But a draw might not be a bad thing for gamblers in the Espanyol vs Real Betis match.
3088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★ Keep your role on default trust (DT) selection ★ on: January 21, 2022, 06:26:40 PM
Bumping this topic for newbies.
I'm sure the point of this thread won't just be telling newbies why they should get involved in voting for DT member elections. I'm pretty sure there are thousands of forum members who don't care about this system because they are not used to working with the system introduced in the forum. I can probably say that over 70% of bounty participants don't really care about this system and they probably don't have a single name they trust. Well, it doesn't really matter but actually this system also has something useful to have in this forum.

Even though I don't have anyone on my trust list right now, that doesn't mean I don't trust anyone here. I just cared less about this system before (same as thousands of people I mentioned) but now I have a few names that deserve to be on my special trust list, this will help because I think I also have the right to use my voice.
3089  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: January 21, 2022, 05:44:47 PM
Both cryptocurrency trading or investing are good for any investors to achieve something good from the market. Many prefer investing than trading because the price of many coins has dropped since last year 2021 which is very hard for them to make a good income from their investment.
You may be wrong here, during 2020 to 2021 there is quite a lot of crypto going up and you can tell from how the market cap is growing during that time. Bitcoin dominates the market cap better during 2021 (probably much longer) where in November the ATH $69K occurred, so I think you just need to correct your opinion properly despite the fact that not all crypto are on the rise. Of course I'm not talking about the failure of the altcoin project to thrive, it can be tagged as something that is out of context.

Those investing right now are really make a good decision that will benefit them in the future because the price of some coins and altcoin are about to improve for their customers to make a reasonable profit from their investment.
Investment is much more profitable than trading? Of course not all of them are true and it depends on how you set your goals and define the assets you want to invest in. But in the long run, investing in the top 10 cryptocurrencies from 2020 to 2021 has provided investors with fair returns.
3090  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: January 21, 2022, 05:27:17 PM
And as usual, when you say it's not possible it takes a range of 24-72 hours since the topic has been started for the impossible to become possible, touched 39.933 on Binance and 39.952 on Bitstamp.
Seems like Russia's only desire is to screw everything, be it peace trade or bitcoin price.

But probably it's the best time to see a topic about Bitcoin not getting a new ATH ever, and as per Murphy's Law which is far more accurate than any TA we would probably see a sudden spike.

Till then, brace yourself for panic mode, although nothing hs really changed.
Actually I'm not so sure about what I've seen bitcoin price in the last 24 hours. Russia has had an impact on prices and $40K is easy enough to break as one of the supports that is expected to hold the panic wave through the end of January. As it turns out, Binance traders really want the price to drop below $38K, but I still don't think it's over and there is a possibility of a bigger drop going forward. Next, $35K is expected to be a strong support but when the panic is much bigger than the will to hold on to the price then that support won't be able to hold it either.

I already said that bitcoin could still lose 50%-80% of the total value of ATH november due to the highly volatile market and very sensitive to FUD, now bitcoin has lost 44% of the total value of ATH before, and may reach 50% soon. Having an anticipatory strategy to minimize losses is important, but it all depends on our initial investment goals.
3091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Myth vs Facts and My Assumptions about Bitcoin on: January 21, 2022, 05:08:30 PM
RBF in general? Loads of times. RBF to essentially cancel a payment and send coins somewhere else? Only once or twice since I'm generally very careful about where and when I send bitcoin and I don't often encounter a scenario when I would want to redirect a payment to an entirely different address.

How to do it will depend on the wallet software you use. Some, such as Electrum, give you options to bump the fee or "cancel" the transaction by double spending it back to your own wallet, but if you want to do something more complicated than that then you'll need to delete the transaction from your wallet and create a brand new one from scratch or use an external tool to create a transaction to import in to Electrum for signing.
I always activate RBF for every transaction that uses an electrum wallet, this is important as an effort to anticipate if there is a mempool congestion. I've tried it many times so far and I find this feature very useful. However, regarding the issue of double spending or redirect a transactions to other wallets (own wallets or other people's wallets) it will certainly be a threat to anyone who makes buying and selling transactions without involving escrow, 0conf transactions allow transactions to be canceled or redirect a payment so that awareness about the possibility of a scam is needs to be improved by whoever does it. Traders need to get at least 1 confirmation to make it safe in most cases.

Thanks for explaining too, but I wouldn't do anything quite complicated unless absolutely necessary for the learning process or under certain circumstances.

I beleive its just the beginning, still lot of people need to learn about decentralized money so they can feel the real freedom of using the money. Even when its not regulated on nations and countries like Nigeria are actually against the cryptocurrencies still people can enjoy the perks imagine how wealthy the community if the government accept it.
The bitcoin community continues to be strong in many countries and this is also the case for me. Many media reports about bitcoin and the state of the market all the time both online and offline. This will arouse the interest of many people to know what bitcoin or crypto is especially if they hear about other people's current success.

This is not a start, but it has been going on longer before but the slow pace of information has prevented people from knowing it sooner. In the next 5 to 10 years, bitcoin will be more famous than it is now, but of course there will be more scam attempts that will be stalking their victims as well.
3094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 20, 2022, 06:33:17 PM
Just watched the highlights of Man Utd and Brentford. Its really interesting to see goals from different players other than Cristiano Ronaldo. Did expect at least a goal from Ronaldo. But yes though there was a zero goal in 1st half, the 2nd half turned interesting with 4 goals. 3 from Man Utd back to back. Elango was on shot with perfect goal and followed by Mason Greenwood with a stunning passes. 3rd goal was awesome from Marcus Rashford. This win should bring Man Utd within 6th place.
It was an easy win for Manchester United, but Rangnick will still not get more chances at Manchester United even as he manages to lead Manchester United to wins several match in a row. Manchester United have a mission to break into the top 4 this season but their performances have not made it a reality easily. The current change of coach doesn't have a significant impact on the team, but they still have a chance to improve it as long as the season is not over.

Tomorrow, Manchester United will meet West Ham in Premier League week 23 (22 for Manchester United), it will not be easy and of course West Ham will struggle not to drop more points after the defeat in the previous match.

If RBF is enabled, then after you have made a transaction but before it has received its first confirmation, and it is still unconfirmed, then you can easily replace that transaction. If you spend any of the inputs from that original transaction in a new transaction, and the new transaction pays higher relative and absolute fees than the original transaction, then the original transaction will be evicted from the mempool and replaced with your new one. This allows you to make the same transaction again but with a higher fee, but also allows you to change the transaction entirely and redirect the coins to different addresses.
Under certain conditions, RBF will really help anyone who wants their transactions to be confirmed faster, especially when the mempool is congested. This feature can also be used multiple times as long as the transaction still doesn't get 1 conformation, which I think is quite helpful. But about redirecting transactions to other addresses after the first transaction on broadcast, I haven't tried it until now. Maybe I'll test it in the future, but of course it should hit my wallet too.

Sorry o_e_l_e_o, have you ever done it?
3096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 20, 2022, 05:04:07 PM
Tottenham started to catch up, the difference with the 4th position is also very thin, even the next opportunity is full of challenges.  Facing Chelsea is not easy but it is possible they will win, in recent matches Chelsea have only been able to draw with their opponents.  Until I wonder what's wrong with them.  Getting to the top instead of the spirit of chasing City, they played quite standardly so they didn't struggle to win.
Chelsea will be an opponent that is still quite difficult to beat by Tottenham at this time and we can already get evidence that Tottenham have to accept their defeat in the 2 leg of the EFL cup against Chelsea some time ago. However, it is possible for Tottenham to win this match where they are quite motivated to get into the top 4. That's the most likely thing for them even though they later have to draw against Chelsea.

Tottenham's main mission this season may not be about the title anymore but how they will end the season with 1 ticket to the Champions League with Conte. They still have a chance to do it, it's just that they have to keep up their good form without losing in the next many match.
3097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not going below 40.000 (probably) on: January 20, 2022, 04:53:44 PM
If I read the direction of the market that has been running and repeated then below $40K it might happen. You may remember that the market is different this time. The development of Bitcoin has more supporting corporate institutions. This could change market opinion to stay in the strong support area of $39k. But if it looks at ATH in 2017-2018, they will walk down the stairs. There was a decrease of about 80% more at the time. I think today we start to be vigilant, stay calm and don't panic. Keep using your strategy to minimize your losses.
When we talk about a possibility, of course we will also know what the possible causes are. We all never know what will happen, but history can help to stay alert in all situations. Yes, I agree that there will be price drops where people want lower prices and I believe no one will be able to keep prices above $40K long term even though we have quite a bit of institutional support so far.

Although today bitcoin experienced a slight increase but in fact the price of bitcoin still lost 37% of ATH. We certainly don't expect a bigger drop of up to 50%-80% but anything is still possible in this highly volatile market. Having a strategy to minimize losses is of course very important, especially for traders and bitcoin holders so far.
3098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: January 20, 2022, 01:48:38 PM
Almost everyone know that they have to exit one day but only few have the valid exit strategy. The exit strategy targets should not be so much stretched that they are difficult to achieve . You should set a realistic profit goal and adhere to it. Also you need to have a backup plan in case there is an unexpected dump due to any news etc. Stop Losses should be carefully used as market tends to hunt for stoplosses before going up.
In this case we know that setting an initial target and sticking to what we want to achieve will make us completely psychologically safe when market fluctuations occur. Stop loss may be good but sometimes it is a bad start when demand increases after a quick correction.

Each of us has our own strategies and targets that we want to achieve in trading, so maybe whatever we say will not be useful to others because psychologically and mentally we will never be the same.
3099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 19, 2022, 06:17:01 PM
Leicester  - Tottenham

It looks like Tottenham will win this match and will get a full coin which will shift Arsenal in fifth position in the standings.
Tottenham had the opportunity to do so today where they had to take every opportunity to score. I don't think they will lose or have to end the match with a draw because this match is a good start to allow a return to the top 4 overtaking Arsenal who are in 5th place. Tottenham need just a few wins to get into the top 4 and I think Conte will do well.

For the Brentford vs Manchester United match, I believe 3 points will go to Manchester United today. This should be an easy win for them. Really not sure Brentford will be able to hold on to a draw or be able to beat Manchester United in this match even though Brentford is playing in front of the fans at home.
3100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: January 19, 2022, 06:05:41 PM
Trading technique by making gradual purchases (averaging Down) is one way to buy when the market is experiencing a correction and there is a continuous decline without us knowing where the lowest point of the price decline will stop, this strategy is indeed quite capable of getting a small percentage profit, because we will have different purchase price variations, but in my opinion, for traders who have small capital like me, of course it will be very difficult to capture prices when there is a decline due to limited capital, I personally would probably wait for the market price to reach its lowest point before entering to buy in the market.
There are many other trading strategies you can learn and use to maximize your profit potential. I don't think you have to stay focused on the lows to buy because in reality you can't tell when the lows will occur.

The strategy you are using may have a downside where you have to buy at a lower position to cover your previous losses due to the price drop while you expect a recovery when the price starts to rise. It's much better to invest than to like trading because you can still apply an accumulation strategy whenever you have capital. It doesn't take much, but 20% of your monthly income probably won't make much difference. Of course this is not financial advice, just do what you want and don't exceed your ability to lose.
