3081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: October 02, 2021, 10:12:06 AM
If internal transactions would be registered on a blockchain, everything would be publicly visible.

It's not necessary for me as long as our account will show us the correct balance. I mean our deposit addresses are controlled by the site anyways, does it have a bearing if we will see it on the blockchain just to confirm that our account is having a legit balance when doing an internal transaction? Internal transactions will also be visible on our transaction history on that site.

And for a reputable site, I don't think they will have to go through cheating the balance for the sake of scamming users.
3082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 02, 2021, 10:04:29 AM
But for me as a bettor I would willing to take a chance to bet in favor on Canelo which I think this man deserves to have a odd favor.

Do you mean slight odds changes favoring Canelo? I doubt that will happen. The gap of odds between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant won't be changed. Not much profit if you bet on Canelo unless you have the guts to bet a decent amount because you think it's a sure win for Canelo.

Try to check other betting options such as Canelo winning by TKO or decision, or on what round, if you want to have decent odds for betting on Canelo.

@harizen - thanks for sharing, yeah, strange that KP and Luka are not in the same pic? It's this a sign that KP and Luka relationship are not going well? lol.
Their issue from the moment they were paired. KP do not like the idea of being on the corner just waiting for the ball to be passed to him. That's the play given by their coach and he was mad about that. They keep on focusing everything to Luka and forgot he is also a dagger that could contribute a lot.
We could say there is part jealousy on how they gave everything to Luka and made the Unicorn a fictional character, literally.
I am hoping this year it won't be like that. They should set aside their emotion and just straightly look at the goal for a championship just like how Shaq and Kobe did it despite their differences. Just be professional when you step on that basketball floor.

I'm looking forward to that. I don't like Kristap Porzingis to be traded. He's a good teammate but their ego just gets in their way. KP should try to blend with Luka and cooperate. Their tandem is good. They just need to work it out. Admiring them as despite the fact that they have both problems, as even shared by Mark Cuban, they remain professional on the court and never we see they are arguing in front of the camera.

If Jason Terry and Dirk Nowitzki are able to work that problem before, it's always possible with Luka and KP too.

Just sharing the Facebook Livestream of a match between Shiga LakeStars and San-EN Neo Phoenix, the team of PH cagers and brothers, Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena respectively. I have noticed that there are lots of nationalities per team. The league is no anymore pure Japan cagers compare to before.

3085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting to begin this Thursday in Connecticut on: October 01, 2021, 11:10:07 PM
From Ukraine to the  Netherlands  and now Connecticut in the US, I must say that it is good news for the gambler, gambling operators and for the state. I reckon we are so close to bitcoin being approved as a payment method.

From what I understand from the article (correct me if I'm wrong), it's not that Connecticut state has ban gambling compare to what happened in the regulation of gambling in Ukraine and the Netherlands. It's just that two of the popular sports company, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan will be granted a license to operate sports betting in that state but prior to that maybe there are already gambling operations there but not involving sports betting.

Almost all US States are gambling-friendly states. There are strict ones but not totally a ban to the majority of the states.

Dallas Mavericks fan out there like me, did you see the recent pictorial of the team?

https://www.facebook.com/dallasmavs/posts/10165630284985461

Just a normal pictorial to some but what's lacking? A pic of Luka and Porzingis together. It should be no secret to others why it turned out like that. Anyhow, at least they were able to get together these 2 in a pictorial, and no need for a separate or edited one. Smiley Looking forward to that egos will be set aside for the team's success rally this upcoming season.
3087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 01, 2021, 10:34:17 PM
If they will try to fix the game, that could probably happen.

Disregard that part. If game-fixing will happen, it should have started during TNT vs BGSM. And with no live audience, it does not make sense to have that "bigayan" portion because there were no ticket sales. No advantage for the league if the series will be extended.

I guess no one is willing to take my bet, lol.

there's no handicap in the series, it's all even because TNT is also a good team and I enjoyed watching them, it's just that I have to stay loyal with my favorite team in the PBA and if I lose, no regret at all.

So last call, we still have few days probably, shoot me a PM.

Not with the current roster but people based on game history where SMB always winning at a Game series match. If you are aware of betting on a series match outside online gambling, there's a thing called the "+1" game. You can consider having that to somehow attract gamblers to bet on TNT.

To summarize, your options are:

a) TNT +1 against you. The bet will be 1:1, with no change of odds.
b) No + but odds will be, TNT @2 SMB @1.7-1.8

If you will choose A, I will accept the challenge. SMB is more dominant to me and I'm not a TNT fan after all so I need an advantage.
3088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 01, 2021, 10:24:40 PM
Gaballo will be the underdog for sure, and as I see on this kid, he is not mentally tough to face a high-caliber champion.

Don't judge the book by its cover (or what "cover" did you see to assume that?). It's hard for me to think that Gaballo doesn't have that mentality with that 24 wins on his record without a loss and 20 on it as KnockOut. Although we can say that those 24 boxers he defeated are nothing against Donaire, Gaballo will surely prepare himself to win over the veteran Donaire.

There's no date for the match and that's good preparation for Gaballo to be trained for long, not just physically but to conditioned his mind mentally. An underdog that does seem to have the chance of winning the fight.
3089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football visual betting or Dice on: October 01, 2021, 10:12:34 PM
Live football bet has been popular among gamblers and it’s popularly known as visual games this method of betting is like playing dice as it is all about the number predictions but again there are some peculiarities between both gambling games, one involves high risk and the other is based on luck. Between playing dice and football, visual prediction, which will you prefer as a passive gambler.

In live games, gamblers can somehow speculate and predict with a good basis making their picks make sense to choose. Obviously, it's not possible in a dice game.

The popularity of live betting is already big even before. Not just for betting but football is the most popular sport in the world. As per the estimation that I saw in a source,  there are 265 million people who play the sport along with more than 5 million referees. That equates to about 4% of the world’s population and that numbers is increasing as we speak.
3090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 01, 2021, 09:56:23 PM
Bookies see that fans and bettors are not buying the drama. They still think that Canelo has a high edge over Plant. Though for sure there are still people who will bet for Plant in hope that upset will happen, but the majority still siding for Canelo knowing that talent and skills wise this man have a lot of advantage.

The chance that bookies implied is very small, giving such odd for Plant. If you have spare and you are into gambling, this one might give you some enticing interest to multiply or to grow your money.

Even the fans buy that drama, it has nothing to do with the change of odds. Bookies are not taking that as a basis if they want to change the odds. Mostly, odds will change if there's an event that will directly affect the performance of the boxer like having some issues, injury, training progress, etc.

If anyone wants to bet on Canelo but seems not worth it because of the odds, even you wait for several months, that won't change or just a bit. If betting for Caleb Plant don't expect much that bookies will increase the odds up to around x10 just because he seems underpowered by Canelo on that recent press conference issue. The current odds for Plant to win the fight is already good odds.
3091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: October 01, 2021, 09:44:19 PM
but I think sports betting is much popular but very prone to fix games or cheating.

It's like politics where there is corruption, in sports, there is also a flaw.

Being prone to the issue of fix games or cheating is not new and it should be expected. Is it risky to bet on sports now that it's prone to game-fixing? Definitely no.

As a sports enthusiast for decades, I can conclude that some issues on fixed games are just having a small percentage compare to all games that were done in a good, smooth, and fair gameplay. If you think a rigged game is possible on that certain event (although there are no direct sources we can rely on if that game will be rigged, obviously), then just ignore betting on it.
3092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: October 01, 2021, 09:24:10 PM
This question has a really simple answer, Binance smart chain is the straight winner because of the fact that it's really efficient and requires really low transaction fees as compared to Ethereum, whereas for me in ethereum it once required a 29$ gas fee for a 10$ transaction [it may differ for you]  which is really high and I won't recommend it for sending and receiving a small amount of assets.

If good scalability on the BSC network will continue to maintain, users will always enjoy the quick and low fees of using it.

But before, the Ethereum network also has the same feature, cheap fees while users can enjoy too a quick transaction. It's no assurance that the BSC network will avoid ending up on that issue too in the future. For now, let us enjoy what network is giving us convenience. In the first place, other networks chains are build to somehow solve some of the issues when using Bitcoin before, especially fees.
3093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think now is the right time to buy Ne0? on: October 01, 2021, 08:54:27 PM
neo is a project of much better quality. neo has been on the market for a long time in a very powerful way. I think now is the right time to buy a neo. Do you think now is the right time to buy a neo?

If your analysis and studies lead you to the conclusion that it's now the right time to buy NEO, then you are free to do it.

I suggest lurking at the NEO community social channels if there's any like in Telegram, Discord, and see if the community there is actively talking and discussing anything about the coin. You should see trollers, fudders, and believers there and analyze their respective views about the coin.

Then from there, decide what's the next thing to do.
3094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why NFTs projects are not making wave-like ICOs on: October 01, 2021, 08:44:22 PM
I read over the news about John Cena NFT only selling 30 tokens in its public sale an event that prompted the star wrestler to withdraw his support for the project and putting it on gold, and from my personal experience, Ill the NFTs tokens I bought have not yielded any profits all stock in the sale stage for over 4 months now, unlike the ICO era in 2017 where investors making 800x profits just within one month of investment. What seems to have gone wrong in the NFT market within this short period of its existence?

NFT based on entertainment and products like WWE, Godzilla, Coca-Cola, band group, etc. is more of collection stuff rather than an investment.

You should choose NFT based projects where there's a real use case and can be used for a profit-generating scheme. The best example is NFT games wherein it's necessary to buy their respective NFT as it can be used in-game.

Just enhanced your DYOR on choosing the right NFT project to invest.
3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Cash was no scam. on: October 01, 2021, 07:45:16 PM
to 1. : There is no liquidity, cause people thought all the years it was a scam. But it was no scam look at my posts before in this thread.
to 2. : It is not easy to get on the big exchanges, but they are working on. The team is so hard focused on developing Litecoin Cash.
to 3. : Look at the Hashrate and other key factors and one day you are waking up and understand.

Traders always like to take risks be it shitcoin, low volume, or something along those lines.

The fact that it isn't able to create good liquidity means it is far worst from being a shitcoin. If you truly believe in the project, then so be it. It's fine to spread awareness about a coin but while doing that, include your own educating stuff explaining the fundamentals of that coin.

And lastly, don't encourage anyone to invest. It's a form of shilling. Let them decide on their own. Saying a certain coin will reach 10x growth is a form of shilling already.
3096  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: October 01, 2021, 07:32:55 PM
In my own opinion, most of the banks are seeing cryptocurrency as a threat to their financial system. It’s because people are preferring more of a system that gives them full custody of their assets and transferring it from one account to the other without borders. This is what the banks are concerned, because people will be turning to crypto than saving more money in their bank accounts.

Banks don't care about that. It's not even a big reason to consider why banks don't work with cryptocurrency. Banks will not function to their original purpose if they don't have any control over their clients and customers. Not siding with the banks but their insured policies gives assurance to their clients that everything is in good hands especially in the case of money fraud, theft, and scams.

Another reason is the chargeback concerns. It's difficult to solve a case of crypto chargeback because, in the first place, there's no first place to start with the investigation. Known several people close to me working in a chargeback division and cryptocurrency-related transactions fraud is one of their number 1 problem.
3097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 11:01:24 PM
In today's league status, a Center position is not really taken as a big deal now where everything is making shots on the rainbow area. While Anthony Davis is more of a Power Forward, he can switch gears to a Center position while maintaining plays for his usual Power Forward position. About the supposed injury he might get, regardless of what position he will play, an injury can happen any time.

Anyways, Anthony Davis already make it clear that he will play as a Center and try to adjust: Lakers’ Anthony Davis is ready and willing to play more at center
We will see if this is going to be an effective change and adjustment to them. I'm not fond of watching AD at that position but they know what's best for them.
Let's see if they can make this up and if it's going to be an effective positioning to the team. As he said, if he's willing and ready then at least we've heard it from him that he has prepared for this.

You can refer to their bubble journey in 2020. Anthony Davis is on mostly Center position but his plays were for Power Forward. Not always on the paint but doing some perimeter. Switching gears to Center during defense and being a Power Forward during the offense.

We can expect it will become effective next season because it's not new anymore that AD is acting as a center. Looking at the Lakers' current roster, Howard and DJ are their established center but I'm seeing this two won't have a good playing time knowing how Vogel rotates the roster, leaving AD with no choice but to hug the Center position.
3098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 30, 2021, 10:48:38 PM
With what happen between Casimero and Donaire, it seems that this is far from happening. It's Donaire doesn't want to fight him ever or he is just avoiding Casimero in any way possible. Both are for Inoue, though Casimero on the other hand will likely land this one.

Casimero already make peace with Donaire and following that, the mandatory fight given to them was announced. I'm now thinking that Casimero really just hyped the fight against Donaire and willing to cross the lines to promote the fight but since it's not happened, he now makes an apology.

Regardless, a win should be established to their respective fights or else, no more fight against Inoue on their future match.
3099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: September 30, 2021, 10:39:09 PM
Advanced settings in dice game which is just synonymous to using bots which could make gambling quite easier and stress free. But do you really feel comfortable using a bot developed by this gambling companies you mentioned will they give out a bot that would limit their chances of making profit from their clients losses. I think I might never want to try any advanced settings given by any gambling provider

Using a bot, advanced settings, or something along those lines is not meant to increase your chances of winning. All bets are under the provably fair of the site.

There's something that gamblers want to see that is not present in the built-in auto mode feature of a gambling site so they are looking for an advanced mode. There are even making their own script from scratch.

Using bots are already associated with playing dice since then. Not a strategy but a tool that a gambler used depends on what they are looking for.
3100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ASA to host gambling advertising webinar on: September 30, 2021, 10:28:34 PM
It's a good and helpful initiative because what we need for the youth is the awareness for them to avoid or get rid of gambling addiction. Since we're on the pandemic situation, webinars would  be a big help to enlighten everyone about the risks of too much gambling. I hope that more organizations would have the initiative to do things like this.

I know that this webinar is a great initiative. But still controlling the attitude of the individual in order to be able to control to avoid gambling is very difficult. This is based on the privacy of each other's interests. Except the webinar doesn't just talk but at the end of the season doesn't make an offer that young people don't like. I hope this webinar is successful in accordance with the organizers' goals and can have an impact in a positive direction.

That's the purpose, to make those gamblers realized and understand the post-effect of doing gambling.

The success of that purpose is not only thru that webinar but on how gamblers will help themselves to reach the status of being a responsible gambler. It's totally not wrong to do gambling and taking it as a habit as long as a person knows their boundary and limits.

In other words, a responsible one. It will take time for a person to be like that in gambling but at least, it will happen soon.
