I would love to do half-and-half if possible. I have $350 already loaded to my verified paypal and the rest would be drawn from my connected bank acct. The other half of the order I can cover with BTC

Yes half half is possible.

cool. when you're ready (i know theres a lot of people posting simultaneously right now) just send me a PM or respond here to confirm:

total cost (21 units [28 with extras] + shipping to toronto, Ontario, Canada)
paypal payment instructions for 50% of order
BTC payment info for 50% of order
expected shipping time for individual grouporder customers

thank you!

Hi.

I have refunded rmolby, marked, elpres, and one more person which Im still finding out who it is. Please check.

I have decided to continue the group buy with the current price as david111223 said.

After we reached 33btc I will stop the group buy and the remaining usb will be distributed to each order fairly.

Extra USBs to be distributed based on each buyers share in the GB. GB CLOSED BECAUSE WE FUNDED 33BTC

please confirm if i am taking the spot of midniteslide for 21 units (will receive 28, correct?), how to pay (half-paypal, half-btc preferred), and any other details about shipping schedule, and i'll have the spot paid for ASAP

Hi,

yes you took midniteslide's place for 21 usb.

Instead of share's it's buy 3 get 1 free.

terrific - i await payment instructions.

will this work with *all* dell poweredge PSUs? It seems there is a long list of models with the same connector.

Buy bitmain antminers that do 180gh/s each
You can buy 5-6 and get close to 1th/s way before any product on the market has that kind of power
I ordered 2, and will buy a few more coins and add a third
At 3.15btc each they are a great deal
So for 9.45 bitcoins you have same hash power as the October jupiters Smiley
If you overclock them to 200gh/s you'd have 600gh/s

I don't believe there is anything close to that kind of power IN STOCK and that cheap on the market today

seconded. the antminers are one of the best bets at a profit, though 3.15btc each now may be too much. (2.75BTC would be more appropriate)

I bought a 4.75BTC and 4.25BTC antminers, and between them they have returned just over 4.9BTC.

intersted in 1 (email sent)

what about discounts for current owners?
3090  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [STARTED] on: December 26, 2013, 04:03:41 AM
I relinquish my spot on the list.

You do realize that under the proposed completion of the GB you'd receive:

28units for 1.722BTC

0.0615BTC per unit  (this is cheaper than even if you bought 500 directly from the manufacturer)

Hopefully someone will step forward to pick up midniteslide spot in the GB and we can close this thing out.

I would gladly take the spot

edit: PM sent to cxboyminer - If i can take this spot/deal, consider it done!
3091  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 26, 2013, 04:00:45 AM
I have four of these and am wondering if I should consider using them for my antminers. There is only one 12v rail in each one though.

http://blog.marxy.org/2012/10/bargain-12v-32a-hp-ps-3381-1c1-power.html

Appreciate a reply cos I have absolutely no experience with power supplies and the like....

32A * 12V is only ~380W. You might be barely able to run a 180GH, and wont be able to overclock
3092  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bi•Fury | 5+ GH/s USB Miner [FASTEST USB MINER IN THE WORLD] on: December 26, 2013, 03:54:18 AM
First of all, our main product is on a Christmas sale! - Yes, the price has dropped significantly.
If I buy 10 BiFury devices at $2999, I'll have ~50GH/s.
If I buy 10 ASICMiner Blades at $2499, I'll have ~100GH/s.
If I buy 6 ASICMiner Cubes at $2808, I'll have ~180GH/s.
$200 -$500 cheaper and two to three times the speed.  I just don't see any advantage in buying these compared to other devices currently available.  Am I missing something?
No you don't! But the question is: do you know a place where we can BUY NOW 10 ASICMiner Blades at $2499 or 6 ASICMiner Cubes at $2808 ?
Thanks!

Bitmain Antminer: easily overclocked to 200GH, 3.15BTC now
3093  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining at Home dying out on: December 25, 2013, 12:04:46 AM
just a quick thought ... with btc said to speed up to 1800 $ mark within 6 months, wouldn't it be just easier to buy BTC now ?

or has anyone compared cloud mining i.e. cex.io to say just buying btc or just buying available mining equipment below $1000 ?

cheers,
Al

cloud mining is a bad idea, unless your mining group is re-investing dividends. The best example of this is the 100TH mine which just passed 500TH (1GH per share) with a share price about half of that at CEX.io and the strong likelihood that hardware will continue to be added for the benefit of all shareholders.   https://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19

CEX.io is a jip - the only people making profit are those selling their overprices GHS to others. The second CEX implements fees (not far off, maybe another month or two?) the prices will drop massively.

TBH the only equipment worth buying right now might be the antminer systems, and even those are now overpriced at 4.25BTC
I bought an antminer at 4.75BTC and a second one at 4.25BTC and together they have returned almost 4.5BTC to my pocket. I expect to make about 12BTC on the 9BTC investment and keep some cool hardware. that said, they should not be selling for more than 3BTC each right now, but demand is clearly still much greater than supply.
3094  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: December 24, 2013, 08:02:42 PM
Buzzdave, Tytus and Punin,

You guys did a good job reaching 1GH/s per share.  More transparency with the plans of this farm would be nice Smiley

Very Respectfully,

GreaterNinja

agreed. It would be nice to know if 500TH is 'it', or if there are blueprints for the future (ie: 700TH by march, 1PH by july, etc)
3095  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY OPEN] AntMiner U1 1.6 GH/S USB Sticks 4,000 TOTAL Ships TODAY on: December 24, 2013, 07:55:51 PM
ROI ~2 years? with 1.6w
Unfortunatelly not, ROI infinity...you can't reach, even not in 1,2 or 100 Year. Wink

Guys, keep in mind they have had the U1s in production for a while.  So yes, they are pricey based on today's numbers but if these had come out 3-4 weeks ago I don't think there would be as many complaints.  They charged what they thought they needed to charge, and people bought them all.  Same with the S1.  There's no reason to get bent out of shape about it.  I bought 4 S1s and paid 4.25 BTC each (4.2 on the last).  My first one was the equivalent of $4500 in USD.  My last was $2700 because of the fluctuation in BTC prices.  So when they sell to us based on BTC prices they are taking a currency hit too.  They have to pay their bills, their workers, etc; and I doubt those guys are taking BTC.
Maybe you missunderstand, how this business work. 1 Chip cost the factory lesser then 4-5USD. 1 USB printed board assembly about 1.5USD (maximum, depend on the quantity much lesser). Calculate, and you will see the complete price is per item about 6 or 7USD. A sale price of 60USD each item right now (depend on the "low" exchange rate) bring them 1000% profit, at least.

And, they don't have to pay for any "worker" or what you guess. The printed board assembly price is an all inclusive price from outsourcing factory. There are alot in China. Bitmain just need to calculate the develope time for a handful guys, the production can be outsourced.

maybe you misunderstand the theory of supply and demand. They made 4000 U1 devices available (supply) at a high price. Apparently, there are enough people buying at this price (demand) to support it.

if you are selling beer at the bar, are you going to charge $0.30 per can because that's what you paid, or the $5.00 customers will pay for a beer?

also, there are components involved besides just PCB and chip. they bought assembly machines and there are other components needed on the usb to control the chip. the price per device is likely closer to $8-12 USD and that does not count time/space/machinery

^im also a bit confused, since it indicates both no stock and 188 units left on page 1.

I would like to buy 3 via paypal, if you can clarify the shipping costs (if not included in price) to ontario, Canada
3097  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: December 24, 2013, 04:23:15 PM
Here is what you need to do. Take out 4 cards. Run your full rigs with 12 cards MAX. The mix and matched full rigs are unstable. 16 card full rigs will eventually become glitchy due to SPI bugs.
Losing 25% hashrate doesn't sound like a good option.

agreed.

another thought is that unless you have a lot of heatsinking and airflow the cards can become unstable above 35-37GH range (some will do 40GH but require a lot of tuning and cooling efforts). Its possible your cards are heating up with operatin and eventually getting into the 35-37GH reported speed then switching off due to heat.
3098  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 24, 2013, 04:20:10 PM
hey guys... is this a display bug or what ?

P.S.
I have 2 antMiners running, hence the hash rate, both looking the same

1 of mine was showing all x's yesterday but seeming to submit a full hashrate. i rebooted it and now its o's again (same hashrate)

I find (ghash.io) similar results as you. 200-205GH at the miner GUI but 205-215GH each at the pool based on 24hr average.
3099  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB-Casascius coins wanted!-WTB on: December 23, 2013, 08:43:31 PM
I have a few of the 2013 Gold-plated 1oz silver rounds (1BTC funded) available in the toronto, Ontario area.

would consider both cash and BTC in trade. PM me an offer or any questions. the coins were received directly from Casascius and handled using only nitrile gloves to put them into clear coin cases
3100  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining at Home dying out on: December 23, 2013, 01:22:57 AM
people will still be capable of running 1-2TH of hardware at home before they begin to encounter power issues. Very soon we will see a lot of avalon units start going on sale as people making thier power draw switch to higher efficiency chips

I'm personally running 440GH in my 1bedroom apartment
