3081  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For a bitcoin traders--- Qs what app is on your cellphone? on: October 22, 2021, 08:01:00 AM
It's not even worth it to use coins though imo? It has stupidly high fees just from converting fiat to crypto itself, then there's also the fees for moving the crypto from coins to the selected exchange afaik. I used it way back then as a test so idk if it has changed or anything. I mostly use Binance, didn't really bother getting anything else other than that. I mostly trade in my pc anyway, using mobile isn't the cup of my tea. Might try FTX when I start trading again, I mostly do hodling nowadays.
3082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart Sells Bitcoin on: October 22, 2021, 05:17:27 AM
Do you think this will be successful?
Successful in terms of adoption? Cause if so then just the fact that they're offering Bitcoin in their stores is a good sign of it already, though I highly doubt it would gain that much of a traction compared to the past ones since we've been seeing other adoptions here and there after all. Still, it's better than nothing I guess? The fact that it has KYC is kinda disappointing, though not unexpected. I guess it's still a help in trying to open up Bitcoin for other people.
3083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice machine on: October 22, 2021, 02:20:18 AM
Uhm I don't think you need to install a dice machine? Just hop on to any gambling site and you'd honestly find dice in there (and if you were thinking of introducing dice without the money involved, that ain't gambling brother). If you really want something that's not online, then just get some random old dice and set rules, pretty sure that should work out as well. Now if I was mistaken and you were looking for sites, there's rollbit, roobet, duelbits, just look at the banners of those who post mostly in the gambling section and you'd find a nice gambling website.
3084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 21, 2021, 08:58:05 AM
~

Bluffing online is only about the money you bet while bluffing in a real casino in front of real people is about your facial expression and the money you'll call or you'll bet. If you'll notice, some of professional poker players often wearing sunglasses to hide their eyes, because eyes is the one that could tell someone what do you feel in a certain situation, so they hide it.

Bluffing is indeed a risky move, and not profitable as always.
It's kind of understandable why it's a lot easier to bluff in online since there's a lot less pressure due to the fact that you're actually playing online, instead of f2f with someone. If you aren't someone used to seeing a person look at you face to face in a tense situation, then I wouldn't consider it weird that you're having a hard time bluffing.

~
With the kind of poker player we are talking about, it is either you will fold because he/she is obviously having a hand stronger than yours or you will bluff your way to win. Depending on the cards on the table, you will weigh your possibility of bluffing. You might want to try test the waters first and raise a good amount, but not that big. If this predictable opponent of yours calls easily, then begin to consider he/she is confident enough with his/her hand and that your bluff will only make him/her win big.
Basically, getting to know each other with a few cards here and there? Well, it is basic for someone to actually identify what players he's playing with first and foremost before doing something big. If you don't, well, you're quite the daredevil. Though I guess if you just entered mid game you can guess just based on the number of chips one has whether the player is good or not, though the strategy to deal with them would still have to wait for 2-3 rounds.
3085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 21, 2021, 06:07:34 AM
There's no doubt if items in popular games like Dota 2 and Pokemons were to become NFTs, the world of metaverse will insanely increase and will create another huge hype that will make the gaming industry reach the top again. But right now, all we have are a few legit games and more games are fraud especially those who don't have any stories just to click and hit for money. Cryptoblade and other NFT games like it.
Please don't. I'd rather the NFT market create their own unique stylized game rather than these old games of ours to adopt the NFT system to what they have right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against NFT games and have been playing it for quite some time now, but I'd really rather have a unique system in itself so that I can actually be pretty hyped to enjoy the game. Plus, I don't think the system of a MOBA would apply itself well to NFT types, Pokemon maybe but Dota? I don't tihnk so.
3086  Economy / Economics / Re: A tale of the two parasites on: October 21, 2021, 04:49:16 AM
Wouldn't it be much more sensible to blame the current system? Though tbf it is still people who adopt the system to be used so I guess what you stay could still make sense. Still, I'd reckon that it's the way of living that has made people coexist like parasites. In that sense, the concept of the world being a dog-eat-dog one would make complete sense. The poor parasites' situation would make complete sense since they're trying to live, but the rich ones may seem like they are protecting their wealth but in the end, isn't that also one way of trying to live? Though I guess that is a subjective question so I doubt wit could be explained in that way.
3087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: October 21, 2021, 02:14:21 AM
Not necessarily. I guess you can just consider it something that is useful in having an earlier better understanding of the terminologies and whatnot of what you use at trading. Trading by the end of the day is still something that would require you to actually experience and understand since it's filled with a lot of intricacies that a course lesson about trading would probably never tackle or even if they did, would not really be the same as experiencing it yourself. Besides, everything is literally there on the internet, it's just a matter of you actually finding it.
3088  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: October 20, 2021, 10:38:29 AM
At some point I am really messed up and lost in vein when it comes to bitcoin's price. I think that every second it gets more and more a victim of speculation and gets abandoned from its original idea.
If bitcoin could perform very well at 6K some months ago, why it become 60K after some months? And then it went back to 30K but was still functioning very smoothly, i.e. it was doing the job it was created for.
Again, If bitcoin could perform well at 30K some weeks ago, then why it worth 60K right now? I just don't get it when people say that bitcoin isn't speculated and all of these prices are just natural.

Well, it's because Bitcoin isn't solely a currency. It's also considered an asset and could function as one due to the natural limited supply that it currently has. It's speculated yes, but it's because people see value in it as a currency (and an asset) for the future. Its capability of being decentralized, away from the influence of inflation, etc, are all factors that investors and speculators use to judge whether they're worthwhile investments. And speculators attract their fellow kind, I mean who wouldn't go for something that could make profit right?
3089  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fomo AGAIN? on: October 20, 2021, 08:27:13 AM
Just buy slowly in dips and stop waiting for crashes, you're wasting your time trying to wait for something you based on what, what others have actually said? Or is it simply because of how it dipped midyear back to below $30k or so? Though I'd suggest waiting for a small dip before buying in right now. There's pretty much no reason in trying to buy when the market is in a rally, that's just pretty stupid. Additionally, FOMO would probably happen a bit more later, you can honestly see it when the market suddenly goes into a rage and price surges up big time. When you're at that point I'd honestly just suggest buying in AFTER that.
3090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 20, 2021, 12:35:38 AM
No, don't leave the table. If your opponents are like that, it means they are predictable. You can easily read their plays if they are always staying safe. They won't raise if they got a bad hand, for example, so you need to stay away once they start raising bigger amounts.

These are also the kind of players you can easily bluff in poker. You put a good raise and they will fold immediately. If you think you have the stronger hand, you can also easily catch them by simply calling every time they raise and then raise or even all-in in your last bet. They'll either be scared or they'll fight their weaker hand.
Fair enough but wouldn't that mean you wouldn't really get anything if they have a good hand and start moving accordingly? Though I'd guess that you can profit off of a chance if you both have good hands, and it would all fall down to who actually has the better hand. Though it would probably take quite a bit of time then for things to actually get moving no?

Though really, if all your opponents were people who played it safe, why bother playing just leave the table imo.
I wouldn't leave if they're playing safe. All of the people at the table will definitely play for their own safety and they won't just leave just as you're thinking. But if you think that it's better for you to leave the table and look elsewhere then you do it. But that's not the best option IMO if you want to play with others through the same table. You all have the same chance of bluffing and winning in cards and it's all going to be depending on when you fold and when to call at most times. Adopting what others are doing will make you last in a table.
Well if we are talking about lasting last in a table then that's for sure the correct thing to adopt, but would that actually be enjoyable? I have that mindset of enjoying games in the first place after all, and having games where you risk it even with bad cards or having that thrill of playing against someone with a good hand is the part that I'd enjoy. I guess it just depends from person to person?
3091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has Gambling Changed Your Life? Yes? (how) No? (why)? on: October 19, 2021, 11:56:33 AM
No. I mean I guess if you consider me spending more money monthly than I'm supposed to due to gambling as "change", then perhaps it did. Though honestly most changes in life due to gambling is either an extremely positive or extremely negative change, one side being addiction, and the other side being lucky and hitting the jackpot, making your life miserable free. I'm on neither side really, I just enjoy gambling every now and then though I don't do it on a daily basis. I've won one 50x before but that's about it, I jump from platform to platform so nothing really noteworthy.
3092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Technical Analysis? on: October 19, 2021, 07:52:43 AM
If you're trading you're naturally going to use TA's. It's your bread and butter imo, though it would require you to study a lot if you actually want to continue since you'd have to mix and match a lot of stuff so that it could fit your trading strategy. Just keep testing honestly, there's no single best strategy cause if there was, do you honestly think people wouldn't have used it now? or would it actually have stayed hidden for long? Plus, volatility shouldn't be an issue since it always has been there. It's not going to go away even if you have the best TA in the world.
3093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interest on Bitcoin on: October 19, 2021, 05:17:54 AM
Might as well just use something else instead of giving out my Bitcoin for interest tbh. I just let my Bitcoin sit there in all its glory, it's price increasing year by year is more than enough for me tbh, it's not really worth it to risk letting it sit with another party just for a measly interest. Though I guess some people are interested in lending it to others though, it is still a type of business and profit-making I guess. Just doesn't bode well for me, especially for the party that does the lending imo.
3094  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Diem on the run for launch on: October 19, 2021, 02:47:41 AM
I'm just surprised they're still trying to try and launch their new "Libra" amidst all the issues they face. It's like putting the cart before the horse kind of thing. I don't think this one would actually succeed, though I guess they don't have much to lose since they already failed once.
My two questions are.. does anyone even use Facebook anymore? I haven't checked it out in years and I feel better than ever before.

And then, how do people still trust them? They've heavily influenced so much stuff around that I would never trust them again. When they've shown multiple times in a row how they don't care at all about your privacy and manipulate your feelings intentionally through various creepy experiments, how the hell do you get to hype up Libra Diem..?
Well as much as some people realize how bloody hateful to use Facebook is and it would've probably been a lot better if they don't use it, there are still people who like to use it... unfortunately. Sides, most people probably don't even give a damn about how Facebook does their thing since their mindset is as long as they can use it and the effects aren't visibly obvious to them, they'd probably continue to be oblivious to them.

3095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 19, 2021, 01:37:20 AM
They're real all right. It's just that most of them are under the radar hence why people who aren't purposely looking for it wouldn't even notice it most of the time. Fixed matches are something that are frowned upon and would result in at the very least a temporary ban for both the players and the referees that are in it, so most matches like that would be done so that not only the people watching, but also the other responsible people that are in the match itself wouldn't actually notice anything wrong.

Just look up match-fixing tbh, and you'd probably find a lot of info on past match fixes that happened.
3096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2021, 11:26:57 AM
Err it depends? Sometimes paying with Bitcoin seems to be the easier way out so I use it instead of other forms of payment. Well, it's mostly situations where Bitcoin is an option, an easy method, or probably the only method. Only in those scenarios would I actually spend Bitcoin and the rest of the time I just hodl. The amount I hodl isn't really part of something I'd use to spend for whatever I need most of the time after all, simple terms, I use it for convenience's sake. As for my hodl strat, that's it, hodl. I don't give a damn anymore about the market since if I do I'd start trading and stressing myself out.
3097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 18, 2021, 06:46:25 AM
I am thinking it was more a case of PSG believing they have the game when Tiny-Lycan combo passed trough. Colapse is player of the tournament for me with his performances on Mars and Magnus.

Did not think Team Spirit will win this one after LDG destroyed them on map 4. Big congrats to young Russian team.
LGD kept being confident that they could handle TS Magnus, look what happened. Granted it was also a bait by TS with them leaving Tiny open from what I can see though. I honestly thought LGD was doing a huge comeback they performed astoundingly well in games 3 and 4, and even in Game 5 they got the Tiny-Lycan combo BUT again, they left out Magnus without any hard counter. Game 3 had Rubick to counter him, and we all saw how Collapse's entry was always denied.
3098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy vs. anonymity on: October 18, 2021, 04:43:21 AM
Hmmm, I'd reckon I'd choose Privacy over anonymity in this case? I don't particularly mind that people know I use BTC really, I'm more concerned about the fact that they could know what I've bought with the BTC I have or well, wherever I actually used it. It's not really that big of a problem since I'm not doing anything wrong but hey, who the hell likes it when everyone knows what you do right? I'd reckon no one does unless you're a show-off.

Though honestly, I think Privacy was thrown out the window ever since I started using the internet and doing KYC stuff all over the place. Though it's mostly because it's a bloody requirement, I've never been one to show off my personal life even on social media after all.
3099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 18, 2021, 01:23:11 AM
Missed the last 2 games but was there for the early ones where Spirit was Dominating LGD. I honestly thought a comeback was really happening since LGD just dominated that 3rd game with the undying tinker pick, especially the undying which really helped clutch the saves every time Spirit tried to pick someone off early on. Couldn't watch the 4th and 5th game but seeing as the talks were about Collapse and his Magnus, I can imagine what kind of happened. Congratulations to Team Spirit!
3100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 17, 2021, 02:39:09 PM
While I am quite aware that game 3 is on its way (LGD vs TEAM SPIRIT), can I just make a comment on how Team Spirit managed to dictate the pace of the game on the last 2 games? In game 1, Naga was so far ahead of everyone in his farm in which her illusions controlled most of the map. Ursa did not stand a chance along with the ensnare aghs of Naga.

On game 2, what can I say? MAGNUS GOD performance showed by Collapse. He made the heroes of LGD fear visibility on the map. With those constant de-wards and night vision, they were able to pick LGD's heroes 1 by 1 with that skewer combo.

I am all in for Team Spirit on this ride. I may have doubted them at first due to their experience but they have shown significant team potential and play with those two games.
True, First game Spirit got completely countered, Yatoro with the Naga pick kind of overwhelmed them and they failed to actually stop him from trying to, well you know, become the one that stops them, hence why they pretty much lost. Second game though, they had the chance they were playing pretty niche early on BUT Torontotokyo mid game with vision control with gem made controlling the map easier, and Collapse late game just pretty much well, became a God. They tried using NP to put pressure but imo, it was simply too late. The map was already under control of Spirit and even though Morph and ES had their stuff, Collapse picking their team off slowly made them lose quite a lot.
