3081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 07, 2021, 04:59:00 AM
This Russian is a power puncher but so does the majority of fighters Canelo beats in the past, I don't see anything extraordinary on his style except he has a good straight but Canelo is very flexible and good at angles and combination, even if they fight in a catchweight Canelo will still beat, this is a very interesting fight considering Bivol is undefeated.
3082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: August 07, 2021, 03:06:44 AM
I am asking this because I do have some short of an answer for videogames and for massive multiplayer games and even for social network oriented games. Videogames require a great design, good difficulty grading, an story that engages the user, massive multiplayer and network oriented are a lot about the interactions and how varied and fun these are. However, for casino games, it would seem that these factors are not really the most important ones. You can see games with very basic graphics and design, simple in the options for the player and not that engaging yet they do "hook" people in them.
What do these games have to have for you?

It depends on what kind of players you are if you are playing for money, then reputation is very important, are you going to play on a gambling site with a bad reputation but with a well design graphic or on a gambling site or with minimal design but always pays their players on time I prefer the latter than the former, one example is 1XBIT it has a good design but there are so many complaints.
3083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: big scam website (1xbit) close account. not giving back deposited money! on: August 06, 2021, 09:42:23 PM

Obviously, OP did not do research on the reputation of the gambling site he is playing or he is tempted because he had seen they are trying to rebuild their reputation but unfortunately it's not what OP expected I don't know what terms did you break, this is another case that will be pile on against the biggest scammer in the gambling industry.
Let this be a lesson to those who want to try if 1XBIT is really honest about rebuilding their reputation
3084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you rather buy for the long term right now...BTC or ETH? on: August 06, 2021, 09:55:56 AM
Right now it's close

Ethereum   - 8 (44.4%)

I stumble similar poll and question and the majority voted for Bitcoin, now the gap is not wide anymore, Ethereum and other coins like Binance are getting closer and Bitcoin dominance is getting lesser, for me, I like Bitcoin and Ethereum, these are the top 2 coins in the market and will always control the market, prices always follow what Bitcoin price dictates, whatever you prefer to invest for a long term, you need to have both in your portfolio.
3085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 05, 2021, 08:56:12 PM
For casinos I think it's somehow dangerous to keep their funds in stablecoins or dollars, because if crypto market skyrockets suddenly, they will lose a lot of money by converting their funds into bitcoin in order to let their customers withdraw their balances, what happens really frequently when bitcoin is rising.
It looks safer to just keep every deposited amount by players in its original currency, and only exchange liquid profit to another currencies such as stablecoins. So if a gambler deposits 1 BTC, that 1 BTC will remain held by the casino until the gambler orders a withdrawl or until the gambler loses that money playing. This way Bitcoin can hit 1000$ or 1,000,000$ that the casino won't have any issues in paying the gambler back, if needed.

You have a point and I agree with that, but there is a profit to be made if they trade their Bitcoin or other Cryptocurrencies to stable coins when the market is going down this is to make a profit in the market while making a profit also from their casino, I'm sure these casinos are also following the market, if they have a signal that the price will go up, then they can buy back, every casino has their own strategies, there are those who are willing to risk in the market and there are those who do not want and wants to play it safe.
3086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: August 04, 2021, 11:04:08 PM

That's funny to think about those points you made above and I'm sure you can Tick mark all of them for me years back.
I do remember chasing loses and can't sleep just want to play, [one] those points can be check marked for a lot of gamblers if not all.
I can share my gambling recovery but that would be another story and would take this post offtopic.

Glad that you address your issue and recovers from addiction, having sleeplessness night because of anxiety of trying to recover from your losses is a serious sign, you developed an appetite for gambling that you can play hours and not aware on what's happening around you and don't care about the amount of money that you deposited, it's hard to get out from this trap it takes months to do that, but glad that you overcome it.
3087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake? on: August 04, 2021, 10:26:39 PM
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.

The temptation to make a profit is very strong, that you cannot turn around and ignore these coins to me and for so many of us, there are so many meme coins that are hard to ignore because it's pumping hard and you don't want to miss because of FOMO, you want to be part of the train because you are tired of waiting for coins with good potential to pump up, so we take the risk hoping that you can get out in time.
3088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: August 04, 2021, 10:17:09 PM
I've been listening to a podcast about online casino scam and they said outright scam (rogue casino) is getting less frequent these days. Nowadays, it's more about soft scam when the casino trick users without they realize. For example, registration bonus, or any type bonus with complicated requirement. Pending withdrawal so that impatient user will play and got busted (instead of withdrawing the money), etc.

I've tasted this soft scam and yeah, I don't trust the casino after that incident.

This is one of the reasons why they delay the withdrawal by asking too many requirements they know that the player will take a chance while waiting for their requirement to get approve, so they will not get reported scamming you and not letting you withdraw because in the first place there's no funds to withdraw, the best action is to not use that funds or do not play at all until they resolve the issue if they will not let you withdraw or takes a lot of time to decide your issue then they will be reported as a scam site.
3089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] 1xbit.com withdrawal blocked (0.97 BTC locked) on: August 04, 2021, 11:14:29 AM

If you have an issue with 1xBit - please share it.
Also, there are 60+ reviews in our review thread, and ~95% of them are positive or neutral.

But these are paid reviews and the thread is moderated, some reviews mostly are positive because if they are negative reviews, they will be deleted or the reviewer will not get the payment, if you want real positive and fair reviews take out the paying option and don't make it a moderated reviews, the real reviews of 1XBIT are those coming from this section scam accusations because the one speaking and showing proofs are people that got scam.
3090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The houses always win, are you the house or the gambler? on: August 04, 2021, 03:33:19 AM
The houses always win, are you the house or the gambler?

Remember only idiot take high risk to get high reward. The houses do not take risk but telling all of you to take high risk. Whether it’s bear market or bull market, the houses always win. The houses do not care whether some of you wageslave plebs actually make a lot of money from the high risk high reward. The houses need some of you plebs to make a good example to a get rich quick scheme, to educate all other wageslaves to not give up the hopes of beating the house. Are you the house or the gambler?

The only time the house gamble is when they are setting up their gambling sites and they are creating their reputation and invite gamblers to play, but after that, they always win against the gambler to cover the cost of the operation, gamblers sometimes win but not all the time, a gambler should always take this fact, whenever he is playing so he will not get surprised why he is not winning, there's always a reminder to play for fun not to make money.
3091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 04, 2021, 01:10:36 AM

I agree, Australia will be a tough battle for the US, I think they are also one of the favourites to win in this  Olympics. They are lead by Patty Mills, so this will be an interesting battle. They've so far covered the spread, they are -8.5 against Argentina and we all know by now what the score is. So for basketball fans, this is a must see games, USA vs Australia.

Australia have beaten the US team in their exhibition match, although it's a good win and boosted their morale but it's no bearing now this is Olympic and the US team is now blending well and Keven Durant and the rest of the team are showing their deadly form outside, I see Australia as the highly motivated team here because they have not won a gold medal and this is their big chance.
3092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Weekly/monthly financial statements, which do you prefer? on: August 04, 2021, 12:14:17 AM
When you spend money constantly in bits, it is normal that you may not be able to keep track of the amount you have spent on something say gambling or alcohol. If a financial record or something like a register is shown to you having the total amount you've spent on a habit, you may be surprised the total amount you see.

As a way to keep track, would you like to receive regular, maybe weekly or monthly financial statements highlighting wins and losses from a gambling site?

Can you share your thoughts please?

I don't need a financial statement I know my limitations and only allocating money on a weekly basis in my bankroll, I already know and computed all my allocations, although there were times that I added more on my allocations these are manageable, gamblers who wants to use this are gamblers who can't track their allocations, it can't help them manage how they're spending their money and if the money they are putting is money that they can afford to lose.
3093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 03, 2021, 06:02:32 AM
These days I'm seeing many Youtubers and Twitch streamers are promoting Gambling websites [Dice, Sports Betting] and Poker Apps.

I know it's ok to gamble for having fun and socially but I don't think young people should be exposed to this when they're in school.
Most of them will only imagine "What 'IF' i win 1000x of this amount and i'll be able to do this and that"

The first thing where will they get the money, even if they get pocket money and use that to gamble then they'll slowly develop the habit of gambling disregarding short-term winnings - if they occur.

They'll pay a huge price with the tension they'll have thinking about this when their whole life is ahead.

Parents should be responsible for what their children are doing online, these streamers and Youtubers can only give warnings, they have no way to tell if children are watching their streams, they are paid to advertise these gambling sites but they should post on their description with the highlight that their streams needs parental guidance so parents can take the cue and take action.

3095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: August 02, 2021, 10:20:51 PM
I know many people bet on boxing matches and I recently saw a post on an "slapping tournament". I was thinking that professional boxing is kind of questionable as a sport discipline and even more so as a gambling event. It is known that many boxers sustain long term effects of repeated micro-trauma and even some have been know to die in the ring. For all boxing fans and for others that may have a view on this, how is this being considered a fully legal activity being supported? And how is betting of people hitting each other being considered as legal and ethical in today´s world?

Back in the olden days it was savagery back then because there is too much blood pour in the ring and they are fighting to the death, but now we are in a modern era, it's now based on science and arts, boxing and other contact sports now are more regulated, before you get into the ring you have to fit and in the best of health and undergone a lot of physical examination, and we have a referee to stop the fight anytime and check for any hard blows and conditions of both fighters and of course we have doctors to oversee the general condition of both fighters.

Contact sports is now an art that represents strength, speed and toughness that represents everything that we want to be and admire, science and arts made it legal now.

3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make sure a projects funds are safe? on: August 02, 2021, 03:14:09 AM
Hey everyone,

How do you verify that a projects funds will not be stolen by the devs? Many projects hold ICO's or some other sort of sale to raise money for development and many have turned out to be scams where the dev steals the money.

What are you looking for to verify that they won't run away with the cash?

Any ideas on how a project can build trust with the community on this topic?

What would you like to see DAO projects do in the future that would help build trust and make sure funds are secure from theft?

This is the risk that we have to take all investments have no guaranteed return even a well establish company or Cryptocurrencies suffered losses or go bankrupt, you can lessen or minimize your potential losses by not investing in ICO because they are unregulated and doing research on the people behind the project, and following if they are making progress on their roadmap.
3097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign Token on: August 02, 2021, 12:26:52 AM
The average bounty allocates the most tokens for Twitter, Facebook, Signature, Youtube and Article campaigns.
is there a bounty that allocates higher tokens to the Signature campaign?

The majority of bounty campaigns allocate moe on the signature campaign and even if there are less allocation you still get more because of fewer participation compared to other campaigns, and if you have a good rank you'll get more, I remember joining on the last week of the campaign and I still get a higher stake than lower rank participants.
3098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 01, 2021, 06:39:53 AM
I picked interest in Gambling recently and I love playing for fun, but lately, I lost most of the games this has made me lose some money and I would like to learn how to gamble.

I will appreciate anyone who can help with a guide or share a link to where I can learn how to gamble for beginners.

You mean how to win, no no way, there's no such thing it's a luck-based game you will end up frustrated if you try to learn how to win, but if you want to play it right then there are a lot of articles and videos dedicated on how to play a particular game, don't make a mistake of trying to win in gambling, reality will set in and not only you get depressed but you will also lose a lot of money.
3099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 31, 2021, 09:51:49 AM

if the casino is really trusted and the bonus is pure it's part of a promotion, not a trick to freeze our assets, that's okay to do KYC. this personal opinion

I share your opinion it goes on individual preference I'm ok with KYC, there's really a gambling site that asks for KYC to make sure that you are clean and you are not using a VPN, if they do not allow it, I can only go for KYC if the gambling site has a good reputation to speak of, they should be honest and transparent on why they ask for KYC.
3100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: July 31, 2021, 07:53:27 AM
We only have one now, Cryptocurrency is a work in progress, there will be more if there are demands, but right now it's much easier to gamble offline on these casinos because of the readiness of cash, gambling casinos, don't want the hassle of technicalities like traffic congestion and volatility of the price, they have a mindset of why fix when it's not broken.
