3101  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 20, 2022, 09:38:34 PM
The thing that I don't like about investing in gold or silver is that the amount is unlimited even though it's hard to get, while bitcoin has an amount of only 21 million (cannot be added or subtracted) which makes me believe in long-term investments and also future of bitcoin, and also the best investment of the last decade.

The supply for gold is far exceeded by the demand or requirement long term for gold backing financial instruments.   At present gold is not rated as having any worth beyond historic and industrial, the idea is the world has exceeded its utility.  The central bankers say their politics and innovation of FIAT standards make gold pointless, QE etc.      Or in the crypto sphere some think gold should be replaced entirely by protocols established here and there no worth in gold.
My take is neither view is right and all 3 are likely to continue and demand will outweigh supply (for reliable regular settled value) only FIAT dollars will find demand drops vs that endless supply.

Yes I combined them for multis but with DIG I should have put it by itself as it was a bit too difficult.  DIG very nearly made that a 2-0 win for them just rounds away from it in OT and yep it slipped through their fingers but at 4.3x odds I wont feel bad on that one, they deserved the win dam it.

Wednesday I just go favorites and combined them, they are all good teams but I think its quite reasonable the expected occurs.   PGL very early and IEM very late in the day.   Pain win but I'll decide later
3103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Every 4 Year on: April 20, 2022, 04:07:22 AM
Possible but large numbers always seem over done to me.   If I draw just a plain line from the lows of recent pricing then we only get to 70k or so in 2025 autumn so I presume a fairly boring number under 100k could still occur at that time and it would only be a normal outcome.
The flip side is wild hype prices of course and I presume this thread is guessing on those but wild hype is far less reliable then the most conservative pricing which is still very positive growth in the big scheme of things.

Major is sooner then I realized, Valve puts forward the bo1 format for being so quick fire & fits the ad breaks perhaps but only bo3 really counts as a proper win or loss between two teams and fairly sure all the pro teams think as much.

Its the 'PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR' yep

https://www.hltv.org/major

Probably best to be aware of all the points they have for the full picture, motivation counts alot

3105  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 17, 2022, 08:29:52 PM
Relying on any news is like looking in a muddy puddle for a reflection, not impossible but often unclear and distorted.   We make fun of the communist countries for being fed party political views by their governments but the world wide over we have bias in all that is reported, the nature of all human communication is subject to degradation and loss the further we are from the source.
I far prefer graphs, volume and historic record of trades actually done.  Then we have to contend with guessing what happens next but I find more facts in deals done and certainty where people must have paid a price to transact then news which is maybe.
3106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 17, 2022, 01:46:25 PM
Lots of bo1 CS today which is something I find a bit higher risk to bet on.    Guess I'll stack a low bet multi and see what happens.

DIG is lower rank then Eternal Fire but higher odds.  I'll multi them and Faze winning + Mouz  thats 3.5x.

[almost worked DIG OT but loss]
3107  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach its all-time high? on: April 16, 2022, 11:59:32 PM

It has been at least 4 months since bitcoin was at an all-time high.

4 months is not a long time.   In this immediate context I'd say BTC has once again proved its ability to recover out of a negative decline, thats important enough and there is no rush to looking at all time highs again so soon.
Look at that ATH and the character at which it acted at that time.  We barely made a new high and then it quickly retracted and sold ever since, that is really a quite negative indicator to sell.   It was worrying for it to do that, we're over it now but I'm happy enough that we managed to recover.
If you want a ATH estimate, look over years.   We are discussing the tide not waves when we do so, zoom out a little because its not really a good thing to over boil the pricing on any asset and I dont want this to occur in BTC.   2023 would be plenty healthy and I dont mind if it takes more then a year to re-achieve the highest prices. Value doesnt come from the plain spot pricing, alot of the highest pricing is just hype and bubbly empty type speculative fervor, we can wait a while before that happens again.   Careful what you wish for  Tongue
3108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin still in such a state? on: April 16, 2022, 11:47:23 PM
No need to presume BTC is any more negative then you expected, what would be incorrect is the time frame of recovery you have in expectation.   Bitcoin is actually a far longer time frame commodity then most expect.   4 year cycle is known but also 200 week average is something reasonable to look at and no other asset is that quite as relevant.  Its surprising because BTC can move so fast but the waves and tides vary in their development and I think the whole of 2022 will be required for much of this price volume to be evened out.
Ultimately we are bullish but more patience is going to be required imo
3109  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Was Prepared to Withstand Sanctions. Why Wasn't Europe Prepared to Impose on: April 16, 2022, 10:37:01 PM
Its more about wheat then gas reserves I think.   Even UK has gas reserves available to drill and extract, the only thing about Ukraine having gas is to close down that resource as being an competition but across the world substantial reserves would remain anyway like Brazil and Australian have (newly established) vast amounts available to ship out as LNG.   Across land and via Pipeline perhaps Ukraine is a slightly more available resource but I dont think thats enough motivation for a war.
Wheat supplies to Egypt and the middle east is vital to their economy as it feeds the poor via government subsidy so that would be more vital and just in general the ports Ukraine has are key.  Also Crimea without its attachment to the mainland has trouble getting various basics like drinking water, its cut off apparently and securing regions of Ukraine close by is no loss for Russia even if they do not conquer the whole country.
3110  Economy / Economics / Re: All that printed money year 2021 where it is ? on: April 16, 2022, 09:34:05 PM
The printed money and inflated monetary base will not disappear or go away.  It will reassemble in higher prices mostly in commodities I think.   This is not the first occurrence in history, its a matter of record across many previous economies and generations.   Despite modern technology in all the different ways including crypto we cant shake off the waves of inflation in exactly the same way previous generations had experienced it so its quite relevant to read up on inflation of the 70's or 20's or in various countries nationally.
This time we had the reserve currency for the world produced in excess of an extra 25% Dollars in just one year I think it was, theres no walking away from that in one piece, its going to knock us sideways in multiple years over at least the next decade imo; commodities is the most likely apparition for higher price inflation and its effect in making the common worker much poorer.
3111  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 16, 2022, 08:11:09 PM
All good things come to those who wait, its nearly end of week which means weekly bars are a good place to look for this medium term type of price objective.  50 k is reasonable but situation has to develop, remember the Dollar index is high right now so we are definitely walking up hill and its pretty steep progress imo.

3112  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous hacker's group fight against Russia on: April 16, 2022, 04:39:43 PM
Putin is a thug but his move on Ukraine was apparently strictly business because an opportunity for a cartel was declined.  Russia and Ukraine have overlapping interests and Ukraine in some ways has superior access to global trade via their deep sea ports on the black sea.   It was too attractive a prospect to take over Ukraine and gain their assets and as a bully murdering people is no disincentive to Putin he will just carry on.
The only thing that could stop Putin now barring outright global war is the world to stop using his oil and gas and Europe is unable to do so apparently despite all their words and sanctions they are paying all Russia's bills for this war to continue.    Nothing good ever came easily and I understand how hard it would be for Europe to not import any oil or gas, its possible but not likely.
The bloody war will continue with civilians caught in between being murdered for money basically.  If Anonymous can raise any resistance great but the real back bone would be the Russian people sabotaging their own army and logistics and thats no easy thing.

How many of you here have upgraded to premium and is there any real benefit doing so ?

I would advise anyone who uses the site daily to at least get the first few tiers, they are cheapest but also the best value overall so everyone should get one of those if you are coming back every day.    The highest tiers might require more confidence to hold but again its in proportion to your use of the site, any big gambler probably should have already got the full premium as it gives cashback and pays for itself in time.   Thats basically it, if you use the site it'll payback for that usage;  short term users wont have much interest but there are quite a few people who used this site for over a year anyway and a year is the full term giving the listed benefits so yep use it imo
3114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 16, 2022, 01:25:16 AM
Considering this VR technology, the next big gambling industry move should be the MetaVerse Gambling.

Combining the 5G high internet speed with virtual reality, we could experience the real metaverse gambling experience. It will be fun playing gambling with our own avatars on the live casino's while sitting at home.

Why do you think that 5G Internet will contribute to the development of metaverses?

The deployment of 5G will only contribute to the transition to faster mobile Internet, which is not needed in metaverses.

In my city the Internet providers have been offering 100-500 Mbps Internet for a long time. Such speeds provide quite a stable connection to any online game server. I don't think that metaverses will be more demanding in terms of connection speed.

Reliability within a city and also latency will be a big deal.  Bandwidth is some relevance if there are alot of server interactions and active changes needed in broadcast to all users.   My dream of a proper online metaverse would be active terrain and dynamic interactive objects to make it all alot more real.
VRML was promised as a transition from HTML back in the mid nineties and it never was able to take off in part because of the low quality of connection by all parties within the server.  What tends to happen is the lowest common denominator limits the advancement of the whole game, if you want mainstream success thats basically how it is so 5G and any quality standard will be relevant I think.
3115  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 15, 2022, 11:30:08 PM
Gold is a reserve asset dating back thousands of years and not likely to alter in that general usage though FIAT itself may alter considerably.  On the other end of the scale is highly speculative assets such as crypto which is no bad thing as we are also talking sky high growth occurring, the two assets should not be compared within the same sentence as they are not close in usage, in their basic origins or likely end game but both are inverse to dollar thats it.

Silver is more of a middle ground, its speculative and commonly mined alongside lead and a few other metals.  It also has a history of being a reserve asset but right now I'd argue its industrial and linked to solar panels etc.  Silver isnt a bad asset to consider but at times it might suffer the worst elements of all three.
3116  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 15, 2022, 10:08:33 PM
Just buy BTC is good advice as said.   Reason being if you are new you need to learn more and it wont really be too late later to do so, holding BTC meanwhile is quite reasonable.   Unless you have some inside or special insight on a particular protocol dont try and guess is best.
It can be really hard to predict what drives the alt coin market, used to be we mined the coins and kept some back perhaps and that was a cheap entry.   Doge for example makes little sense but I wish I'd had more recognition of how markets move on perception and just awareness of coin can drive its trading, Doge was just 1 Satoshi cost at one point.  It crashed to that base level because of excessive supply which to this day I think it does still have but the underestimated factor was sustained demand not because its a good blockchain just the meme basically and so markets can be quite weird tbh and its hard to guess popularity etc.
3117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All Bitcoin Lottery websites on: April 15, 2022, 09:17:03 PM
Is there any government which presents a real life lottery in Bitcoin.   Maybe El Salvador would be the ideal place to reside and play such a lottery, I dont believe it exists anywhere else because ultimately lotteries run by government are used like tax collection in their own primary currency.    People want to hold BTC and also use it for gambling so this thread will be useful for a list of possiblities.
3118  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 15, 2022, 05:34:02 PM
You can get many referrals still just not in the default markets for crypto and tech perhaps.   Most of the world still has no idea this site exists and are still not using crypto but there is growth in the sector and also to this site most likely, enough that referrals still make sense and are possible.    It might take a little more skill and you have to have a way to reach those new people, I guess twitter is the most likely place to find people.  Put the referral under your name on twitter and make lots of relevant comments that gain interest and a few small percentage will see your name and use the link.   Obviously we all know its not easy to get a regular user but somehow you have to let people know so long as crypto grows and if people retain some part of the faucet and/or gambling amounts, it will add upto something over time.
When BTC was in the hundreds, people thought that was the top and no point being optimistic as to future gains as it had already gone so far; turns out its best not to think that way really wish I had known better but the trajectory is quite clear.
3119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: April 15, 2022, 05:01:55 PM
The highs have varied but the lowest pricing in BTC has been quite similar at beginning of this Russian war and even now.   It cannot really be said that BTC is negative, I see a trend to the lowest prices where we are actually rising though it is a slow ascending trend its still helpful in underpinning the BTC pricing, often we do gain much more then this basic slow trend though right now we are in a pullback.

Lows here are in the trend going back to the start of this year

Remember when people in 2018-2019 wanted to sell at $20K and right now everybody wants to buy at $20K because it seems cheap.

Thats only very recently become the lay of the land.  I'd say the concrete is still wet on that idea, whenever people are gloomy about us heading downwards I'll always refer back to roughly this one line you quote.  Any action now is solidifying that perception into a reality that somehow 20k would be a bargain buy right now.
Its always totally possible whatever high price we get it, its temporary and just a spike and the downside mirrors the upside and we never get that peak again.   Consider all the up and down we had in price over the last year or so and its in sum total really positive accumulation not a selloff really.   Trying to recognize and realize that is part of knowing BTC is really bullish, the people who have been in Bitcoin for years have a far easier time doing so but the market overall has to mature at each tier of gains before it may move on especially.   I dont think 2022 that we move so fast, just develop around here.
