3101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: April 15, 2016, 08:24:50 PM
1.5BTC at current price is around $650. It's not a groundbreaking amount to begin with but if you hold these coins in a wallet till 2017 chances are you are going to at least double them in value and this surely beats the best interest rates offered by the banks. I don't know what business or investment you could start with $650 though.
3102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Western Union & co (banks i.g) workers go for a hedge and buy bitcoin? on: April 15, 2016, 08:17:57 PM
I just talked to an FX sales boss and he agreed that bitcoin could be a good job hedge for such workers beside a fiat hedge as well....

Any other workers / business owners think of such a job hedge?

Dude I don't understand what you mean by job hedge or fiat hedge. Hedge means an investment that is intended to balance out the losses incurred in other bad investment by a company. Why would WU PayPal or FX traders hedge in Bitcoins if their stocks aren't falling down? Can you elaborate more on that hedge you are talking about.

David Cameron UK Prime Minister

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAeON73MImA

OMG he sat next to blockchain, so jelly.

Yeah mate I heard him saying that he sat alongside Rate Setter Blockchain and I Walker and I thought he was joking then I realized he was talking about different companies. But isn't the Blockchain an open-source project? Does this mean anyone can show up at a trade show and claim they are representing the Blockchain technology even you and me?
3104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which would you prefer? Satoshi is a male or female? on: April 15, 2016, 05:39:29 PM
I would prefer Satoshi Nakamoto to be the alias of a sexy red-headed athletic female hacker in her late twenties with a penchant for sports and drinking beer. I would get along with that kind of person just fine  Grin Well the chance of me being right is maybe 1 in 1 billion but who knows  Cool
3105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar Opened , your first impressions ? on: April 15, 2016, 05:28:15 PM
I didn't have any connection issues last time I tried to log in and the strange thing is that my firewall prompted a warning about adding permission to connect to a new app and the strange thing is that I didn't authorize it and I still managed to connect without any problems. Maybe the connection issues are a regional thing or something.
3106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Method of gaining bitcoin from scratch on: April 15, 2016, 05:10:36 PM
1. Get a job.
2. Make fiat money.
3. Buy bitcoins.

Your post is spot on. Since I have started frequenting this forum I think like 50% of the posts I have read here are usually just hatred and vitriol against fiat but the truth is if you put a lot of effort in your regular job you could buy more Bitcoins and have something left from your salary than relying only on online Bitcoin gigs.
3107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens if the bitcoin disappear ? on: April 15, 2016, 04:46:03 PM
If Bitcoin disappears something else will fill the vacant spot that is how the world works. Probably Bitcoin will be superseded by another more successful crypto coin or something entirely different maybe another revolutionary payment method. As we can't get rid of the banking system completely there will always be people trying to develop new decentralized monetary systems.
3108  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2016-04-14] Shapeshift Update: Security Breach Could be an Inside Job on: April 14, 2016, 01:11:24 PM
Dude that metaexchange site is missing so many alt coins it can't even compare to what Shapeshift has been offering. It's really sad what is happening to Shapeshift as it was and still is my go-to crypto coins converter and despite the issues I will still be using it after they have sorted out the current problems. Can anyone suggest an alternative I could use in the meantime? Some coins converter with a nice selection of alt coins? Thank you.
3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: April 14, 2016, 12:50:35 PM
Once I challenged myself to see how many times I could go all-in on my bets and what amount I could achieve and I think I managed to reach over 1 Bitcoin from 0.05 by running 12-13 consecutive wins. It's the greatest feeling in the world when you complete your challenge but I went to lose everything later on trying to emulate my success again. My advice is to never all-in or at least do it with smaller amounts and never with your entire bankroll because shit can always happen.
3110  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cheaters (double spenders) and what the gambling sites are doing against them on: April 14, 2016, 11:49:48 AM
NitrogenSports has a 0 confirmation policy I think but they do manual auditing of any outgoing transactions so I don't think this kind of shit will fly under their radar probably you will be banned and your funds will be seized if you try this scheme. I think DirectBet allows 0 confirmations on their bet deposits as well but I haven't heard of anyone trying to exploit their system. These scams are probably best performed on casino sites as sportsbetting requires a lot of time for the events to finish.
3111  Economy / Economics / Re: People not buying 3XX like crazy will hate themselves in 6 months on: April 14, 2016, 11:25:57 AM
Guys we are still in the lower $4XX it's not too late yet to jump on the action before the price starts to get pumped like crazy in the coming weeks. I think it won't matter if you have missed out on $20-$25 cheaper Bitcoins if the value is going to be doubled up in a couple of months down the line. But I strongly believe that whoever buys now will be in profit by the end of the year.
3112  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: April 14, 2016, 11:18:21 AM
Bitcoin can't officially substitute fiat because we need paper money for our everyday life. For Bitcoin to completely replace fiat we need to become a cashless society and only pay for our goods with digital money both online and offline. I know there is an ongoing project in Scandinavia where Sweden Norway and Denmark are trying to achieve this by promoting cashless transactions but in the end we will still need banks to handle the transactions in the background.
3113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin survive world war III? on: April 14, 2016, 09:57:26 AM
World War 3 will be devastating to our civilization because there are so many weapons of mass destruction like nuclear bombs hydrogen bombs transcontinental rockets etc. that if the global leaders decide to use them in war it will certainly bring us back to the Stone Age. Just imagine how many nasty biological weapons are being developed right now that if unleashed upon the world The Walking Dead may become real life real soon. I doubt it that Bitcoin will survive the aftermath after all this plus the human population may be completely eradicated from the face of the Earth.
3114  Economy / Speculation / Re: July 20, 2016, the block halving date, what will the price be? on: April 14, 2016, 07:16:50 AM
No I won't be selling anything before the halving, in fact I would be holding at least till the end of the year. I want to see what price we will be at after the smoke clears in the fall. Ideally the price should be around $800 hopefully doubled up. But I have a feeling in 2017 we will see big changes coming too maybe the price will reach the coveted $1000 mark.
3115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to teach someone about Bitcoin on: April 14, 2016, 07:09:51 AM
I think Bitcoin should be introduced to new people not as a way to get free money but as a way to do better business and pay less fees in online transactions. Not everyone would be interested in clicking on faucets or posting on forums. Bitcoin can serve as a new payment method for their own private business or a new way to buy things online for less because most of the retailers offer discounts on products sold for Bitcoin.
3116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar Opened , your first impressions ? on: April 14, 2016, 07:01:32 AM
People are selling some weird things on OpenBazaar I just saw one guy offering the users to buy shares in his goat farm haha. I saw a lot of artisans selling hand-made items as well maybe OpenBazaar will become the Etsy for Bitcoiners. Other than that most of the stuff is second-hand so I couldn't find anything worth to buy at the moment but I will be checking it for more stuff in the future.
3117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: April 14, 2016, 06:31:09 AM
Guys what will happen if the price doesn't increase a lot after the Halving and the mining farms in Asia won't be as much profitable any more as the block rewards will be cut in half? Does this mean Bitcoin mining will be close to dead if the price doesn't help to balance the costs between the rising difficulty and the falling Bitcoin rewards? The electricity is very cheap in China but they can't keep up if they are making a negative profit right?
3118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: April 14, 2016, 05:29:34 AM
I remember reading about a Bitcoin fund-raising campaign to save the last endangered rhinoceros in Africa.  I think this article covers the right story: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-helps-anti-poaching-teams-new-charity-campaign/ I think there were just 3 or 4 rhinos left and they were trying to save them and hopefully make them breed. I checked the wildlife organization website and they no longer accept Bitcoin looks like it was just a joint venture with a Bitcoin payment processor for a while.
3119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can we see bitcoin money transfer store in near future? on: April 14, 2016, 05:17:40 AM
I would love to see more shops in my country and around the world offering Bitcoin payments offline. Bitcoin is very efficient for online transactions that's a fact but we need it in our daily real life for it to be successful and for us to enjoy its benefits. If I were a shop manager I would put the Bitcoin accepted here sticker on the door just to be a forward thinking person  Wink
3120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: April 13, 2016, 07:11:41 PM
I have seen people talking about buying new cars with their earnings in the NitrogenSports chat. Their claims may be true as I have personally seen winning slips with 50 Bitcoins on each so a couple of these could land you a shiny new Lexus easily. I think sportsbetting really requires skill and is not based purely on luck. I can't brag with such big wins but I am trying to win a life-changing parlay myself  Grin
