Right now we see a 10% pump of Bitcoin, anyone could explain me the reason? Isn't it going to dump this weekend?
There's a lot of things that are influencing the value, such as the fork coming up in just a week and some days, which has been getting the required amount of signaling and is looking like it will be the fork being used, so that's pumping the value since there is now more confidence in the abilities of the mining community to do things that benefit the community as a whole. Fees should go down, there should be a smaller queue for transactions, it's good all around and people are happy. True , fork will crash the bitcoin for Sure and there will chance Segwit handle that issue it is all about 12 hour game by August 1st or July last lilke 27 - 28 issue might be hit then next 12 hour of fork we will find out the Value of BTC or BTU I ask this question for the 55th time. WHAT FORK? Why do you post about stuff you obviously know shit about. What fork? Segwit2x support is currently just under 90% and once it gets locked in the rest of the blocks will be orphaned, receiving no fees so they ll all line up and go after SegWit2x. What fork? I seriously think that people are spamming this fork fud becasue they want to crash the price. |

Can't see anything about bitcoin there unless you are talking about the Alphabay shutdown, if this is the story then it isn't that great of a thing as it's just more association with the bad elements of what bitcoin can be used for, maybe they moved the story?

The probability of a lock in is now very high. It seems highly unlikely that unlucky variance will prevent it from locking in during this period. And if it would, next period is even more likely with F2pool and slush pool signaling by then. Also looks like the market has priced this in. Happy I bought at 1900  If no one (eg. Jihan) pulls the chair last minute to manipulate the market no more panic until November  We are not over the line yet so I don't think everything has been priced in yet. |

There are only 3 reasons that bitcoin makes it in the mainstream media headlines: 1) The price is hitting all time highs or some kind of impressive rally 2) The price is crashing and breaking floor resistances 3) Another fake satoshi is found This is literally all they ever report. They never report anything actually interesting. Just ignore mainstream media, they are clueless. First time I've seen it on BBC News front page and in the top 10 most read though. |

I think this is a good news. Bbc is one of the news studio that is so reliable that makes all people around the globe watch their news as it spread throughout the world. Which means that bitcoin will be known to the whole world. It would be so cool for this to happen, it will make us reach the cryptocurrency world we are talking about where all people use cryptocurrency as a currency of their country.
